²⁰ And Ahab said to Elijah, Have you found me, O my enemy? And he said, I have found you; because you have wickedly sold yourself to work evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke Him to anger;

³⁰ And Ahab did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, and did more wickedly than all that were before him.

¹⁷ And it came to pass when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said to Elijah, Are you he that perverts Israel?

²⁵ But Ahab did wickedly, in that he sold himself to do that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, as his wife Jezebel led him astray.

⁸ And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, There is one man here for us to inquire of the Lord by; but I hate him, for he does not speak good of me, but only evil; Micaiah son of Imlah. And Jehoshaphat king of Judah said, Let not the king say such things!

¹⁷ And they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, and practiced divinations and soothsaying, and sold themselves to work wickedness in the sight of the Lord, to provoke Him.

² And he did that which was evil in the eyes of the Lord, according to the abominations of the nations which the Lord cast out from before the children of Israel.

⁷ And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man by whom to inquire of the Lord, but I hate him, for he does not prophesy concerning me for good, for all his days are for evil: this is Micaiah the son of Imla. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say such things!

¹⁷ And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, See, did I not say to you that he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil?

⁶ He also passed his children through the fire in the valley of the Son of Hinnom; and he practiced witchcraft, divination, and sorceries, and appointed those who had divining spirits, and enchanters, and wrought abundant wickedness before the Lord, to provoke Him.

¹ Thus says the Lord, Of what kind is your mother's bill of divorcement, by which I put her away? Or to which debtor have I sold you? Behold, you are sold for your sins, and for your iniquities have I put your mother away.

³ For thus says the Lord, You have been sold for nought; and you shall not be ransomed with silver.

¹⁰ They hated him that reproved in the gates, and abhorred holy speech.

¹² And they sought to lay hold of Him, but they feared the crowd, for they knew that He has spoken the parable against them. And leaving Him, they went away.

¹⁴ For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, having been sold under sin.

¹⁶ Have I therefore become your enemy by speaking the truth to you?

¹⁹ who, having become callous, gave themselves over to debauchery, for the working of uncleanness with utmost greediness.

¹⁰ And those who dwell on the earth rejoice over them, and make merry, and give gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth.
