¹² And they entered into a covenant, that they should seek the Lord God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul.

¹⁴ And they swore to the Lord with a loud voice, and with trumpets, and with cornets.

² And he had brothers, the six sons of Jehoshaphat: Azariah, Jehiel, Zechariah, Azaryahu, Michael, and Shephatiah; all these were the sons of Jehoshaphat king of Judah.

So Jehoshabeath daughter of King Jehoram, sister of Ahaziah, wife of Jehoida the priest, hid him, and she even hid him from Athaliah, and she did not slay him.

³ Now then let us make a covenant with our God, to put away all the wives, and their offspring, as you advise:

²⁹ were urgent with their brothers, and bound them under a curse, and entered into a curse, and into an oath, to walk in the law of God, which was given by the hand of Moses, the servant of God; to keep and to do all the commandments of the Lord, and His judgments, and His ordinances. ³⁰ And that we will not, they said, give our daughters to the people of the land, nor will we take their daughters to our sons. ³¹ And as for the people of the land who bring wares and all manner of merchandise to sell on the Sabbath day, we will not buy from them on the Sabbath or on the holy day; and we will leave the seventh year, and the exaction of every debt. ³² And we will impose ordinances upon ourselves, to levy on ourselves a third of a shekel yearly for the service of the house of our God; ³³ the showbread, and the continual grain offering, and for the continual whole burnt offering, of the Sabbaths, of the new moon, for the feast, and for the holy things, and the sin offerings, to make atonement for Israel, and for the works of the house of our God. ³⁴ And we cast lots for the office of wood-bearing, we the priests, and the Levites, and the people, to bring wood into the house of our God, according to the house of our families, at certain set times, year by year, to burn on the altar of the Lord our God, as it is written in the law; ³⁵ and to bring the firstfruits of our land, and the firstfruits of the fruit of every tree, year by year, into the house of the Lord; ³⁶ the firstborn of our sons, and of our cattle, as it is written in the law, and the firstborn of our herds and of our flocks, to bring to the house of our God, for the priests that minister in the house of our God. ³⁷ And the firstfruits of our grain, and the fruit of every tree, of wine, and of oil, will we bring to the priests to the treasury of the house of God; and a tithe of our land to the Levites; for the Levites themselves shall receive tithes in all the cities of the land we cultivate. ³⁸ And the priest, the son of Aaron, shall be with the Levites in the tithe of the Levite: and the Levites shall bring up their tithe to the house of our God, into the treasuries of the house of God. ³⁹ For the children of Israel and the children of Levi shall bring into the treasuries the firstfruits of the grain, and wine, and oil; to where the holy vessels are, and the priests, and the ministers, and the porters, and the singers: and we will not forsake the house of our God.

¹⁰ Now therefore understand, you kings: be instructed, all you that judge the earth. ¹¹ Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice in Him with trembling. ¹² Accept correction, lest at any time the Lord be angry, and you should perish from the righteous way. Whenever His wrath shall be suddenly kindled, blessed are all they that trust in Him.

⁶ You will destroy all that speak falsehood: the Lord abhors the bloody and deceitful man.

⁵ There were they alarmed with fear, where there was no fear; for God is in the righteous generation.

³ For You have blessed him with blessings of goodness; You have set upon his head a crown of precious stone.

²³ But You, O God, shall bring them down to the pit of destruction; bloody and crafty men shall not live out half their days; but I will hope in You, O Lord.

¹⁰ The righteous shall rejoice when he sees the vengeance of the ungodly; he shall wash his hands in the blood of the sinner. ¹¹ And a man shall say, Verily then there is a reward for the righteous; verily there is a God that judges them in the earth.

⁵ And He raised up a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which He commanded our fathers, to make it known to their children;

²⁰ I have found David My servant; I have anointed him by My holy mercy.

²⁹ And I will establish his seed forever and ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.

³⁶ His seed shall endure forever, and his throne as the sun before Me;

³⁹ You have overthrown the covenant of Your servant; You have profaned his sanctuary, casting it to the ground.

⁵ The good man is he that pities and lends; he will direct his affairs with judgment.

¹⁸ His enemies will I clothe with shame; but upon Himself shall My holiness flourish.

¹⁰ In the prosperity of righteous men a city prospers:

² When the righteous are praised, the people will rejoice, but when the ungodly rule, men mourn.

¹² For surely man also knows not his time; as fish that are taken in an evil net, and as birds that are caught in a snare, even thus the sons of men are snared at an evil time, when it falls suddenly upon them.

¹⁸ And they shall hide all idols made with hands,

²⁰ For He has given the law for a help, that they should not speak according to this word, concerning which there are no gifts to give for it.

⁴⁰ And all the Asaremoth, even to the Brook Kidron, as far as the corner of the Horse Gate eastward, shall be holiness to the Lord; and it shall not fail anymore, and shall not be destroyed forever.

⁷ And He said to them, Defile the house, and go out and fill the ways with dead bodies, and strike.

² And the Lord said to me, This gate shall be shut, it shall not be opened, and no one shall pass through it; for the Lord God of Israel shall enter by it, and it shall be shut. ³ For the prince, he shall sit in it, to eat bread before the Lord; he shall go in by the way of the porch of the gate, and shall go forth by the way of the same.

² And the prince shall enter by the way of the porch of the inner gate, and shall stand at the entrance of the gate, and the priests shall prepare his whole burnt offerings and his peace offerings, and he shall worship at the entrance of the gate. Then shall he come forth; but the gate shall not be shut till evening. ³ And the people of the land shall worship at the entrance of that gate, both on the Sabbaths and at the new moons, before the Lord.

² For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with what measure you measure, it will be measured back to you.

¹⁶ "Behold, I am sending you forth like sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be as wise as serpents and innocent as doves.

⁹ Then the crowds who went before, and those following were crying out, saying: "Hosanna to the Son of David! 'Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!' Hosanna in the highest!"

⁸ So it was, that while he was serving as priest before God in the order of his division, ⁹ according to the custom of the priesthood, he was selected to burn incense when he entered into the temple of the Lord.

² And a man lame from his mother's womb was being carried, whom they would lay each day at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple;

²⁶ The kings of the earth took their stand, and the rulers were assembled together against the LORD and against His Christ.' ²⁷ "For truly they were assembled against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel,

¹ Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, everyone who judges, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself, for you who judge are practicing the same things. ² But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth upon those practicing such things.

¹⁵ See then that you walk carefully, not as unwise, but as wise,

⁹ But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, through the suffering of death, having been crowned with glory and honor, so that by the grace of God, He might taste death for everyone.

¹² Blessed is the man who endures temptation; because when he is approved, he shall receive the crown of life which the Lord promised to those who love Him.

⁵ Listen, my beloved brothers. Did God not choose the poor of the world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those that love Him?

¹³ For judgment is without mercy to the one who does not show mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

⁴ Around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and on the thrones I saw the twenty-four elders sitting, having been clothed in white robes; and on their heads were crowns of gold.

¹⁰ the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and they worship Him that lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying:

¹⁰ and have made them kings and priests to our God; and they will reign on the earth."

⁵ And I heard the angel of the waters saying: "You are righteous, the One who is, and who was, holy, because You have judged these things. ⁶ Because they shed the blood of saints and prophets, and You gave them blood to drink. They deserve it." ⁷ And I heard the altar saying, "Yes, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments."

²⁰ "Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you saints and apostles and prophets, because God has pronounced judgment for you against her!"

Salvation and glory and power belong to our God! ² For true and righteous are His judgments, for He has judged the great harlot who corrupted the earth with her fornication; and He has avenged the blood of His servants shed by her hand." ³ And a second one said, "Hallelujah! Her smoke goes up forever and ever!" ⁴ And the twenty-four elders and the four living beings fell down and worshipped God who sits on the throne, saying, "Amen! Hallelujah!"

¹² His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns, having names written, and a name written that no one knows except Himself.
