⁵ And Joab went in to the king, into the house, and said, You have this day shamed the faces of all your servants that have delivered you this day, and have saved the lives of your sons and of your daughters, and the lives of your wives, and of your concubines,

²⁷ Then You gave them into the hand of them that afflicted them, and they did afflict them. And they cried to You in the time of their affliction, and You heard them from heaven, and in Your great mercy You gave them deliverers, and saved them from the hand of them that afflicted them.

⁸ Deliverance is the Lord's, and Your blessing is upon Your people.

⁴⁷ It is God that avenges me, and has subdued the nations under me; ⁴⁸ my deliverer from angry enemies; You shall set me on high above them that rise up against me; You shall deliver me from the unrighteous man.
