²⁴ And on the next day they entered into Caesarea. And Cornelius was waiting for them, having called together his relatives and close friends.

³ And many nations shall go and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and He will tell us His way, and we will walk in it; for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord out of Jerusalem.

² And many nations shall go, and say, Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and they shall show us His way, and we will walk in His paths: for out of Zion shall go forth a law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

^{10 (3:11)} In that day, says the Lord Almighty, you shall call together every man his neighbor under the vine and under the fig tree.

²⁰ Thus says the Lord Almighty; Yet shall many peoples come, and the inhabitants of many cities; ²¹ and the inhabitants of five cities shall come together to one city, saying, Let us go to make supplication to the Lord, and to seek the face of the Lord Almighty; I will go also. ²² And many peoples and many nations shall come to seek earnestly the face of the Lord Almighty in Jerusalem, and to obtain the favor of the Lord. ²³ Thus says the Lord Almighty; In those days My word shall be fulfilled if ten men of all the languages of the nations should take hold — even take hold of the hem of a Jew, saying, We will go with you; for we have heard that God is with you.

⁹ And as Jesus passed on from there, He saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, "Follow Me." And arising, he followed Him. ¹⁰ Now it came to pass, as He reclined to eat in the house, that behold, many tax collectors and sinners, having come, were reclining to eat with Jesus and His disciples.

¹⁹ But Jesus did not permit him, but said to him, "Go home to your own family, and report to them all the things that the Lord has done for you, and how He had compassion on you." ²⁰ And he departed and began to proclaim in Decapolis all the things Jesus did for him; and all were marveling.

²⁹ Then Levi made a great banquet for Him in his own house. And there was a great number of tax collectors and others who were reclining with them to eat.

¹ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ² He was in the beginning with God. ³ All things came to be through Him, and without Him nothing came to be which has come to be.

⁴¹ He first found his own brother Simon, and said to him, "We have found the Messiah" (which is translated, the Christ). ⁴² And he led him to Jesus. Now when Jesus looked at him, He said, "You are Simon the son of Jonah. You shall be called Cephas" (which is translated, A Stone). ⁴³ On the next day He wanted to go to Galilee, and He found Philip and said to him, "Follow Me." ⁴⁴ Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter. ⁴⁵ Philip found Nathanael and said to him, "We have found the One about whom Moses wrote in the Law, and the Prophets--Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph." ⁴⁶ And Nathanael said to him, "Can anything good come out of Nazareth?" Philip said to him, "Come and see." ⁴⁷ Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him, and said about him, "Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!" ⁴⁸ Nathanael said to Him, "From where do You know me?" Jesus answered and said to him, "Before Philip called you, while you were under the fig tree, I saw you." ⁴⁹ Nathanael answered and said to Him, "Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!"

²⁸ The woman then left her water jar, went her way into the city, and said to the men, ²⁹ Come, see a Man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Christ?"

⁴⁰ But Philip was found at Azotus. And going through, he preached the gospel to all the cities until he came to Caesarea.
