⁵⁰ If you shall humble my daughters, if you should take wives in addition to my daughters, see, there is no one with us looking on. God is witness between me and you.

¹⁸ You shall not take a wife in addition to her sister, as a rival, to uncover her nakedness in opposition to her, while she is yet living.

¹⁰ And the elders of Gilead said to Jephthah, The Lord be witness between us, if we shall not do according to your word.

⁵ And I will draw near to you in judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the witches, and against the adulteresses, and against them that swear falsely by My name, and against them that keep back the hireling's wages, and them that oppress the widow, and afflict orphans, and that wrest the judgment of the stranger, and do not fear Me, says the Lord Almighty.

⁵ and He said, 'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and shall be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh'? ⁶ So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate."

⁵ For neither were we using flattering speech, as you know, nor covering up greed, God is our witness.
