¹ And the heads of the families of the sons of Levi drew near to Eleazar the priest, and to Joshua the son of Nun, and to the heads of families of the tribes of Israel.

¹⁴ And these are the heads of the houses of their families: the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel were Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi. These are the families of Reuben.

²⁵ And Eleazar the son of Aaron took for himself one of the daughters of Putiel as wife, and she bore to him Phinehas. These are the heads of the family of the Levites, according to their generations.

¹⁷ These are the names of the men who shall divide the land to you for an inheritance: Eleazar the priest and Joshua the son of Nun. ¹⁸ And you shall take one ruler from each tribe to divide the land to you by lot. ¹⁹ And these are the names of the men: of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh. ²⁰ Of the tribe of Simeon, Shemuel the son of Ammihud. ²¹ Of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon. ²² Of the tribe of Dan the prince was Bukki the son of Jogli. ²³ Of the sons of Joseph of the tribe of the sons of Mannasseh, the prince was Hanniel the son of Suphi. ²⁴ Of the tribe of the sons of Ephraim, the prince was Kemuel the son of Shiphtan. ²⁵ Of the tribe of Zebulun, the prince was Eliazaphan the son of Parnach. ²⁶ Of the tribe of the sons of Issachar, the prince was Paltiel the son of Azzan. ²⁷ Of the tribe of the children of Asher, the prince was Ahihud the son of Shelomi. ²⁸ Of the tribe of Naphtali, the prince was Pedahel the son of Ammihud. ²⁹ These did the Lord command to distribute the inheritances to the children of Israel in the land of Canaan.

¹ And these are those of the children of Israel that received their inheritance in the land of Canaan, to whom Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the families of the tribes of the children of Israel, gave inheritance.

⁴ And they stood before Eleazar the priest, and before Joshua, and before the rulers, saying, God commanded by the hand of Moses to give us an inheritance in the midst of our brethren. So there was given to them by the command of the Lord an inheritance among the brethren of their father.

⁵¹ These are the divisions which Eleazar the priest divided by lot, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of families among the tribes of Israel, according to the lots, in Shiloh before the Lord by the doors of the tabernacle of testimony, and they went to take possession of the land.
