^{7 (16:5A)} The beginning of a good way is to do justly, and it is more acceptable with God than to offer sacrifices.

⁴¹ And Esau was angry with Jacob because of the blessing, with which his father blessed him; and Esau said in his mind, Let the days of my father's mourning draw near, that I may kill my brother Jacob.

⁶ And the messengers returned to Jacob, saying, We came to your brother Esau, and behold, he is coming to meet you, and four hundred men with him. ⁷ And Jacob was greatly terrified, and was perplexed; and he divided the people that was with him, and the cows, and the camels, and the sheep, into two camps.

²⁸ And He said to him, Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel shall be your name; for you have prevailed with God, and shall be mighty with men.

⁴ And Esau ran on to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck, and kissed him; and they both wept.

¹⁰ And the terror of the Lord was upon all the kingdoms of the land round about Judah, and they made no war against Jehoshaphat.

³¹ and this shall please God more than a young calf having horns and hoofs.

¹¹ Be it so, Lord, in their prosperity; surely I stood before You in the time of their calamities, and in the time of their affliction, for their good against the enemy.

¹ Then Saul, still breathing murderous threats against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest ² and requested from him letters of authority to the synagogues of Damascus, that if he should find any who were of the Way, both men or women, he might bring them, having been bound, to Jerusalem.

¹⁹ and when he received food, he was strengthened. Now Saul was with the disciples in Damascus three days. ²⁰ And immediately in the synagogues he was proclaiming Christ, that He is the Son of God.

³¹ What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

¹⁸ And I have all things and abound. I have been made full, having received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, a fragrant aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God.

¹⁰ that you should walk worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit and increasing in the full knowledge of God;

²⁰ Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing in the Lord.

²¹ make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing before Him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

²² And whatever we should ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and we do the things pleasing before Him.
