¹² and Jehoiachin king of Judah goes out unto the king of Babylon, he, and his mother, and his servants, and his chiefs, and his eunuchs, and the king of Babylon takes him in the eighth year of his reign,

²⁷ And it comes to pass, in the thirty and seventh year of the removal of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, in the twenty and seventh of the month has Evil-Merodach king of Babylon lifted up, in the year of his reigning, the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah, out of the house of restraint,

¹⁰ and at the turn of the year has king Nebuchadnezzar sent and brings him in to Babylon, with the desirable vessels of the house of Yahweh, and causes Zedekiah his brother to reign over Judah and Jerusalem.

²⁴ I live--an affirmation of Yahweh, Though Coniah son of Jehoiakim king of Judah Were a seal on My right hand, Surely thence I draw you away, ²⁵ And I have given you into the hand of those seeking your life, And into hands of which you are afraid, Into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, And into the hand of the Chaldeans." ²⁶ And I have cast you, And your mother who bore you, unto another country, Where you were not born, and there do you die." ²⁷ And to the land whither they are lifting up their soul to return, Thither they do not return." ²⁸ A grief--a despised broken thing--is this man Coniah? A vessel in which there is no pleasure? Wherefore have they been cast up and down, He and his seed, Yea, they were cast on to a land that they knew not? ²⁹ Earth, earth, earth, hear a word of Yahweh, ³⁰ Thus said Yahweh:Write you this man childless, A man--he does not prosper in his days, For none of his seed does prosper, Sitting on the throne of David, And ruling again in Judah!"

¹ Yahweh has showed me, and lo, two baskets of figs, appointed before the temple of Yahweh, --after the removing by Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, of Jeconiah, son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, and the heads of Judah, and the artisan, and the smith, from Jerusalem, when he brings them into Babylon--"

¹ The word that has been unto Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah, --it [is] the first year of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, --"

¹ And these [are] words of the letter that Jeremiah the prophet sent from Jerusalem unto the remnant of the elders of the removal, and unto the priests, and unto the prophets, and unto all the people--whom Nebuchadnezzar removed from Jerusalem to Babylon, ² After the going forth of Jeconiah the king, and the mistress, and the officers, heads of Judah and Jerusalem, and the artificer, and the smith, from Jerusalem--"

¹⁷ And Jeremiah said unto Zedekiah, `Thus said Yahweh, Elohim of Hosts, Elohim of Israel:If you do certainly go forth unto the heads of the king of Babylon, then has your soul lived, and this city is not burned with fire, yea, you have lived, you and your house." ¹⁸ And if you do not go forth unto the heads of the king of Babylon, then has this city been given into the hand of the Chaldeans, and they have burnt it with fire, and you do not escape from their hand.'"

²⁸ This [is] the people whom Nebuchadrezzar has removed:in the seventh year, of Jews, three thousand and twenty and three;"

³¹ And it comes to pass, in the thirty and seventh year of the removal of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, in the twenty and fifth of the month, has Evil-Merodach king of Babylon lifted up, in the year of his reign, the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah, and brings him out from the house of restraint,

¹² `Say, I pray you, to the rebellious house, Have you not known what these [are]? Say, Lo, come has the king of Babylon to Jerusalem, And he takes its king, and its princes, And brings them to himself to Babylon."
