³ only, by the command of Yahweh it has been against Judah to turn [them] aside from His presence, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did,

²⁰ And you, you devised against me evil, yet the Elohim devises it for me for good, that it may work out as at this day, to preserve alive many people.

⁵ You shall not bow yourself down to them, nor be made to serve them, for I, Yahweh your Elohim, am a jealous El, visiting the depravity of the fathers on the sons, on the third and on the fourth generation, to those hating Me,

³³ And you I shall winnow among the nations, and I will unsheathe a sword after you so that your land will become a desolation and your cities become a desert. ³⁴ Then the land shall accept its sabbaths all the days of its desolation when you are in the land of your enemies. Then the land shall pause for a sabbath and cause its missing sabbaths to be accepted. ³⁵ All the days of its desolation it shall pause for a sabbath, which days it did not pause in your sabbath years when you dwelt on it.

²⁶ I testify against you today by the heavens and the earth, that you shall perish, yea perish quickly off the land where you are crossing over the Jordan to tenant it. You shall not prolong your days on it, for you shall be exterminated, yea exterminated. ²⁷ Yahweh will cause you to scatter among the peoples, and you will remain adult males of a small number among the nations where Yahweh shall lead you.

⁶³ So it will come to be, just as Yahweh was elated over you to bring you good and to let you increase, so Yahweh shall be elated over you to destroy you and to exterminate you, so that you will be swept away off the ground where you are entering to tenant it.

²⁸ So Yahweh plucked them up off their ground in anger, in fury and in great wrath, and He flung them into another country as it is this day.

¹⁵ `And it has been, as there has come upon you all the good thing which Yahweh your Elohim has spoken unto you, so does Yahweh bring upon you the whole of the evil thing, till His destroying you from off this good ground which Yahweh your Elohim has given to you;"

²⁵ Now, without Yahweh have I come up against this place to destroy it? Yahweh said unto me, Go up against this land, and you have destroyed it..

² and he does the evil thing in the eyes of Yahweh, according to the abominations of the nations that Yahweh dispossessed from the presence of the sons of Israel, ³ and he turns and builds the high places that Hezekiah his father destroyed, and raises altars for Baal, and makes a shrine, as did Ahab king of Israel, and bows himself to all the host of the heavens, and serves them. ⁴ And he has built altars in the house of Yahweh, of which Yahweh said, `In Jerusalem I put My name.. <sup>5</sup> And he builds altars to all the host of the heavens in the two courts of the house of Yahweh; <sup>6</sup> and he has caused his son to pass through fire, and observed clouds, and used enchantment, and dealt with a familiar spirit and wizards; he has multiplied to do the evil thing in the eyes of Yahweh--to provoke to anger. <sup>7</sup> And he sets the graven image of the shrine that he made in the house of which Yahweh said unto David and unto Solomon his son, `In this house, and in Jerusalem, that I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I put My name--to the eon;" ⁸ and I do not add to cause the foot of Israel to move from the ground that I gave to their fathers, only, if they observe to do according to all that I commanded them, and to all the law that My servant Moses commanded them.. ⁹ And they have not hearkened, and Manasseh causes them to err, to do the evil thing above the nations that Yahweh destroyed from the presence of the sons of Israel. ¹⁰ And Yahweh speaks by the hand of his servants the prophets, saying, ¹¹ `Because that Manasseh king of Judah has done these abominations--he has done evil above all that the Amorites have done who [are] before him, and causes also Judah to sin by his idols;"

²⁶ Only, Yahweh has not turned back from the fierceness of His great anger with which His anger burned against Judah, because of all the provocations with which Manasseh provoked him, ²⁷ and Yahweh said, `Also Judah I turn aside from my presence, as I turned Israel aside, and I have rejected this city that I have chosen--Jerusalem, and the house of which I said, My name is there..

²⁴ for with few men have the force of Aram come in, and Yahweh has given into their hand a mighty force for multitude, because they have forsaken Yahweh, Elohim of their fathers; and with Joash they have executed judgments.

¹⁶ And it comes to pass, in his speaking unto him, that he said to him, `For a counsellor to the king have we appointed you? cease for you; why do they smite you?' And the prophet ceases, and said, `I have known that Elohim has counselled to destroy you, because you have done this, and have not hearkened to my counsel..

⁵ Woe, Assyria! Club of My anger! And a rod! He, in their hand, is My menace!" ⁶ Among a nation polluted will I send him. And against a people, object of My rage, will I instruct him. To loot loot and to plunder plunder, and to place them for tramping, as the clay of the streets."

⁷ Former of light and Creator of darkness, Maker of good and Creator of evil. I, Yahweh Elohim, made all of these things."

¹⁰ Telling from the beginning, the hereafter, and from aforetime, what has not yet been done. Saying, `All My counsel shall be confirmed, and all My desire will I do.'" ¹¹ Calling from the sunrise, a bird of prey, from a land far off, the man of My counsel. Indeed, I speak! Indeed, I will bring it about! I formed. Indeed, I will do it."

¹ And Yahweh said unto me:Though Moses and Samuel should stand before Me, My soul is not toward this people, Send from before My face, and they go out." ² And it has come to pass, when they say to you, Whither do we go out? that you have said unto them, Thus said Yahweh:Those who [are] for death--to death, And those who are for the sword, to the sword, And those who are for famine, to famine, And those who are for captivity, to captivity." ³ And I have appointed over them four kinds, an affirmation of Yahweh, The sword to slay, and the dogs to drag, And the fowl of the heavens, And the beast of the earth, to consume and to devour." ⁴ And I have given them for a trembling To all kingdoms of the earth, Because of Manasseh son of Hezekiah king of Judah, For that which he did in Jerusalem."

⁶ Would a trumpet be blown in a city, and the people not tremble? Would there come to be evil in a city, and Yahweh not have done it?

¹⁰ Rise and go, for this is not your rest; for the sake of uncleanness it will harm, and the cramp will harass."
