¹¹ And Jehoshaphat said, `Is there not here a prophet of Yahweh, and we seek Yahweh by him?' And one of the servants of the king of Israel answers and said, `Here [is] Elisha son of Shaphat, who poured water on the hands of Elijah..

⁴ Let a little water, pray, be taken, and they will wash your feet. And lean back under the tree.

¹ And it comes to pass after the death of Moses, servant of Yahweh, that Yahweh speaks unto Joshua son of Nun, minister of Moses, saying,

¹⁴ And the men take of their provision, and the mouth of Yahweh have not asked;"

⁸ And all the people rise as one man, saying, `None of us does go to his tent, and none of us does turn aside to his house;" ⁹ and now, this [is] the thing which we do to Gibeah--against it by lot!" ¹⁰ and we have taken ten men of a hundred, of all the tribes of Israel, and a hundred of a thousand, and a thousand of a myriad, to receive provision for the people, to do, at their coming to Gibeah of Benjamin, according to all the folly which it has done in Israel.. ¹¹ And every man of Israel is gathered unto the city, as one man--companions.

¹⁸ And they rise and go up to Beth-El, and ask of Elohim, and the sons of Israel say, `Who does go up for us at the commencement to battle with the sons of Benjamin?' and Yahweh said, `Judah--at the commencement..

²³ And the sons of Israel go up and weep before Yahweh till the evening, and ask of Yahweh, saying, `Do I add to draw nigh to battle with the sons of Benjamin, my brother?' And Yahweh said, `Go up against him..

²⁶ And all the sons of Israel go up, even all the people, and come in to Beth-El, and weep, and sit there before Yahweh, and fast on that day till the evening, and cause to ascend burnt-offerings and peace-offerings before Yahweh. ²⁷ And the sons of Israel ask of Yahweh, --and there [is] the ark of the covenant of Elohim in those days, ²⁸ and Phinehas son of Eleazar, son of Aaron, is standing before it in those days--saying, `Do I add again to go out to battle with the sons of Benjamin, my brother, or do I cease?' And Yahweh said, `Go up, for to-morrow I give him into your hand..

²¹ And he turns back from after him, and takes the yoke of oxen, and sacrifices it, and with instruments of the oxen he has boiled their flesh, and gives to the people, and they eat, and he rises, and goes after Elijah, and serves him.

⁷ And Jehoshaphat said, `Is there not here a prophet of Yahweh besides, and we seek by him?.

²⁵ And he goes thence unto the hill of Carmel, and thence he has turned back to Samaria.

³ only to the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat that he caused Israel to sin he has cleaved, he has not turned aside from it.

¹³ because at the first [it was] not you, Yahweh our Elohim made a breach upon us, because we sought Him not according to the ordinance..

⁹ Our signs we cannot see; There is no prophet any more, And not one of us is knowing what is still ahead."

⁷ For my Lord Yahweh is not doing a thing save He reveals His deliberation to His servants, the prophets."

²⁶ Yet you are not thus, but let the greatest among you become as the youngest, and he who is leading as he who is serving." ²⁷ For who is greater, the one lying back at table or the one serving? Is it not the one lying back? Yet I am in your midst as the One Who is serving."

⁴ is rising from dinner and is laying down His garments, and, getting a cloth, He girds Himself." ⁵ Thereafter He is draining water into the basin, and begins washing the feet of the disciples and wiping them off with the cloth with which He was girded."

¹³ You are shouting to Me 'Teacher!' and 'Lord!' and you are saying ideally, for I am." ¹⁴ If, then, I, the Lord and the Teacher, wash your feet, you also ought to be washing one another's feet."

²² Now you know his testedness, that, as a child with a father, he slaves with me for the evangel."

¹⁰ attested by ideal acts: if she nourishes children, if she is hospitable, if she washes the saints' feet, if she relieves the afflicted, if she follows up with every good work."
