¹ In the eighteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar, the king made an image of gold. Its height was sixty cubits and its breadth six cubits. He set it up in Dura valley in the province of Babylon." ² Then Nebuchadnezzar, the king of the kings and rulers of the whole habitance, sends to assemble all the nations and leagues and language-groups:The satraps, the prefects, and the viceroys, the noble hieromancers, the governors, the magistrates, the jurists, and all the authorities of the provinces, to arrive for the dedication of the image that is set up by Nebuchadnezzar the king." ³ Then assembling are the satraps, the prefects, and the viceroys, the noble hieromancers, the governors, the magistrates, the jurists, and all the authorities of the provinces, for the dedication of the image that is set up by Nebuchadnezzar the king. And those registered are rising to receive the image that is set up by Nebuchadnezzar." ⁴ Then the herald is calling with potency to the throng, "To you it is commanded, O nations, peoples, leagues and language-groups!" ⁵ As soon as you shall hear the sound of the horn, the pipe, the lyre, the sambuke, the psalteries-- all sorts of music in concert--you shall fall down and worship the golden image that is set up by Nebuchadnezzar the king." ⁶ And whoever shall not fall down and worship, in the same hour shall he be heaved into the midst of the glowing, flaming furnace." ⁷ Wherefore, at the stated time, as all the people are hearing the sound of the horn, the pipe, the lyre, the sambuke, the psalteries--all sorts of music in concert--falling down are all the peoples, leagues and language-groups, and worshiping the golden image that is set up by Nebuchadnezzar the king." ⁸ Wherefore, at the stated time, the masters of the Chaldeans draw near and accuse the Jews." ⁹ They respond and are saying to king Nebuchadnezzar, "O lord the king, live for the eons!" ¹⁰ You, O king, promulgate a decree that every mortal that shall hear the sound of the horn, the pipe, the lyre, the sambuke, the psalteries--all sorts of music in concert--shall fall down and worship the golden image;" ¹¹ and whoever shall not fall down and worship the golden image shall be heaved into the midst of the glowing, flaming furnace." ¹² Actually, the Jewish masters whom you assigned over the administration of the province of Babylon--Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego--these masters did not act on your decree, O king:Your eloah they are not serving, the golden image that you set up they are not worshipping." ¹³ Then Nebuchadnezzar, disturbed and furious, says to bring hither Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego. Then these Jewish masters are brought hither before the king." ¹⁴ Responding is Nebuchadnezzar and saying to them, "Is it intentional, Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego, that you are not actually serving my eloah, the golden image that I set up you are not worshiping? ¹⁵ Actually, should you now be ready, then, as soon as you are hearing the sound of the horn, the pipe, the lyre, the sambuke, the psalteries--all sorts of music in concert--you shall fall down and worship the golden image that I made. And should you not be ready, you know that if you are not worshiping, in the same hour shall you be heaved into the midst of the glowing, flaming furnace. And who is the eloah that will deliver you from my hands? ¹⁶ Answering are Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego and saying to king Nebuchadnezzar, "Not necessary is it for us to reply to you concerning this rescript." ¹⁷ Should it actually happen, our Eloah in the heavens, Whom we are serving, can deliver us from the glowing, flaming furnace; and from your hand, O king, will He deliver us." ¹⁸ Should He not, be it known to you, O king, that actually your elohim we will not serve, and the golden image that you set up we will not worship." ¹⁹ Then Nebuchadnezzar is full of fury, and the mien of his visage alters against Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego. He is answering and saying to heat the furnace seven units over what he perceives it to be already heated." ²⁰ And to the masters--masters of valor that are in his army--he says to truss up Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego and heave them into the glowing flaming furnace." ²¹ Then these masters truss them up in their mantles, their turbans on their heads, their garb and their clothing, and heave them into the midst of the glowing, flaming furnace." ²² Wherefore--because the king's matter is urgent, and the furnace heated redundantly, seven units more than aforetime--these masters who were chosen to truss them up and to approach the furnace and hoist Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego:Despatched are they by the flare of the flame." ²³ And these other masters, the three of them, Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego, fall trussed up into the midst of the glowing, flaming furnace. Yet they are walking in the midst of the flame, singing hymns to Eloah and blessing Yahweh." ²⁴ Then king Nebuchadnezzar marks it and rises in a fluster. Responding and saying is he to his retinue, "Did we not heave three masters, trussed up, into the midst of the flame?They are answering and saying to the king, "Certainly, O king!" ²⁵ He is answering and saying, "Aha! I am perceiving four masters, untied, walking about in the midst of the flame, and actually, not one among them is harmed! And the appearance of the fourth is like a son of Elohim." ²⁶ Then king Nebuchadnezzar draws near to the door of the glowing flaming furnace and is responding and saying, "Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego, servants of Him Who is the Supreme Eloah of Elohim, step out and come hither.Then out are stepping Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego from the midst of the flame." ²⁷ Now assembling are the satraps, prefects and viceroys and the king's retinue and are perceiving these masters, that the flame has no authority over their frames:The hair of their head it does not singe, their mantles it does not alter, and further, the smell of flame is not on them." ²⁸ Responding is king Nebuchadnezzar and saying, "Blessed be their Eloah--that of Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego--Who sent His messenger and delivered His servants who are relying on Him, when they alter the king's declaration. They granted their frames to the fire, seeing that they will not serve, neither worship any other eloah, only their Eloah." ²⁹ Now from me shall be promulgated a decree that, in every people, league, and language-group, whoever is saying aught carelessly against their Eloah--that of Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego--shall be dismembered and his house shall be the equivalent of a confiscation, forasmuch as there is actually not another Eloah Who can rescue as this One." ³⁰ Then the king prospers Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego in the province of Babylon. And he promotes them and deems them worthy to govern all the Jews who are in his kingdom."

²³ You shall not make anything beside Me: no elohim of silver nor elohim of gold shall you make for yourselves.

² Then Aaron said to them: Tear off the pendants of gold which are in the ears of your wives, your sons and your daughters, and bring them to me. ³ So all the people tore off the pendants of gold which were in their ears and brought them to Aaron. ⁴ He took it from their hands and formed it with a stylus and made of it a molten calf. And they said: These are your elohim, Israel, who brought you up from the land of Egypt.

³¹ So Moses returned to Yahweh and said: Oh! this people has sinned a great sin, and they made for themselves an elohim of gold.

²⁵ You shall burn the carvings of their elohim with fire. You shall not covet the silver and gold on them or take it for yourselves, lest you be trapped by it, for it is an abhorrence to Yahweh your Elohim.

²⁶ and the weight of the rings of gold which he asked is a thousand and seven hundred [shekels] of gold, apart from the round ornaments, and the drops, and the purple garments, which [are] on the kings of Midian, and apart from the chains which [are] on the necks of their camels, ²⁷ and Gideon makes it into an ephod, and sets it up in his city, in Ophrah, and all Israel go a-whoring after it there, and it is to Gideon and to his house for a snare.

²⁸ And the king takes counsel, and makes two calves of gold, and said unto them, `Enough to you of going up to Jerusalem; lo, your elohims, O Israel, which brought you up out of the land of Egypt..

¹⁷ `Truly, O Yahweh, kings of Asshur have laid waste the nations, and their land, ¹⁸ and have put their elohims into fire, for they [are] no elohims, but work of the hands of man, wood and stone, and destroy them.

¹ It was in the days of Xerxes--that Xerxes who was reigning over 127 provinces from India unto Nubia.

⁴ Their fetishes are silver and gold, The work of human hands;" ⁵ They have a mouth, but they cannot speak; They have eyes, but they cannot see;" ⁶ They have ears, but they cannot hear; They have a nose, but they cannot smell;" ⁷ Their hands, they cannot feel with them; Their feet, they cannot walk with them; They cannot even mumble in their throat." ⁸ Like them, may their makers become, All who are trusting in them."

¹⁵ The fetishes of the nations are silver and gold, The work of human hands."

²⁰ In that day humanity shall fling its forbidden idols of silver, and its forbidden idols of gold, which they make for it to worship, to the mole rats, and to the bats,

²² And unclean shall you make the overlaying of your silver carvings, and the vestment of your golden molten image. You shall toss them away as what comes from a languishing woman, and as filth shall you reject it."

¹⁹ A carving? That which is made, or is cast by an artificer, and a refiner with gold is stamping it, and chains of silver he is refining, a likeness is he making it." ²⁰ A provident one will choose a heave approach of wood that will not rot. He will seek for himself a wise artificer, to prepare a carving with no blemish." ²¹ Are you not knowing? Are you not hearing? Was it not told to you from the beginning? Do you not understood from the foundations of the earth? ²² Who is sitting over the circle of the earth, and its dwellers are as grasshoppers? Who is stretching out as a thin gauze the heavens, and bagging them out as a tent to dwell in? ²³ Who is making chancellors to be nothing? The judges of the earth He makes as chaos. ²⁴ Indeed, they wilt when planted; indeed, they wilt when sown; indeed, a root will wilt in the earth as their set-slip. And, moreover, a breeze blows on them, and they are drying. And a tempest, as straw, is bearing them away." ²⁵ Then to whom will you liken Me, and whose equal will I be?saying is the Holy One." ²⁶ Lift your eyes to the height and see; Who created all these? Who is bringing forth their host by number? He is calling to all of them by name, because of vast virility and resolute vigor, and not one of them is deranged." ²⁷ Why are you saying, Jacob; and why are you speaking, Israel:"My way is concealed from Yahweh, and my judgment is passing from my Elohim"? ²⁸ Do you not know? Should you not hear? The Elohim eonian is Yahweh, Creator of the ends of the earth. He is not fainting, nor is He wearying. And there is no investigating of His understanding." ²⁹ He is giving vigor to the faint, and to those with no virility, their staunchness He is increasing." ³⁰ And the youths will be faint and weary, and the choice men will stumble, yea stumble." ³¹ Yet those stretching toward Yahweh will vary their vigor, and they shall ascend on pinions as vultures. They shall run, and not be weary. They shall go, and not faint."

⁶ Squanderers of gold from a purse, and silver, with reed scales will they weigh. They will hire a refiner and he will make of it an el. And they will fall on their knees and face. Indeed, they will worship!"

⁹ Spread-out silver from Tarshish is brought, And gold from Uphaz, Work of an artisan, and of the hands of a refiner, Blue and purple [is] their clothing, Work of the skilful--all of them."

²⁰ Does man make for himself elohims, And they--no elohims?

³¹ You, O king, perceiving were you, and lo, one great image! This image is grand, and its aspect excellent, rising to your view, and the appearance of the image is terrifying you." ³² The image's head is good gold, its chest and its arms are silver, its belly and its thighs are copper,

⁴⁸ Then the king made much of Daniel:he grants to him immense, huge gifts; and gives him authority over all the province of Babylon; and makes him grandee of the prefects who are over all the wise men of Babylon."

³⁰ Then the king prospers Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego in the province of Babylon. And he promotes them and deems them worthy to govern all the Jews who are in his kingdom."

²³ Over the Lord, the Eloah of the heavens, you exalt yourself; the vessels of His house they bring hither before you; you and your grandees, your consorts and your concubines are drinking turbid wine from them. Also elohim of silver, gold, copper, iron, wood, and stone who are not perceiving and not hearing and not knowing, these you laud, yet the Eloah in Whose hand is your breath, and for Whom are all your paths, Him you do not honor."

⁴ They made kings, yet not from Me; they made chiefs, yet I did not know. Of their silver and their gold they made their grief fetishes, that they may be cut off."

¹⁹ Woe to him saying to the wood, Awake! Rouse! To the still stone, Be exalted! It is an apparition; behold it overspread with gold and silver, yet there is no spirit at all within it."

²⁹ The race, then, is inherently of God; we ought not to be inferring that the Divine is like gold, or silver, or stone, a sculpture of art and human sentiment."

²⁶ and you are beholding and hearing that, not only of Ephesus, but of almost the entire province of Asia, this Paul by his persuading causes a considerable throng to stand aloof, saying that they are not gods which are coming into being by means of hands."

²⁰ And the rest of mankind, who were not killed in these calamities, repent not of the acts of their hands- that they will not be worshiping the demons and idols of gold and silver and copper and stone and wood, which are neither able to be observing nor to be hearing nor to be walking-."

⁴ He took it from their hands and formed it with a stylus and made of it a molten calf. And they said: These are your elohim, Israel, who brought you up from the land of Egypt. ⁵ When Aaron discerned this, he built an altar before it. Then Aaron called out and said: A celebration to Yahweh tomorrow! " ⁶ So they rose early on the morrow and brought up ascent offerings and brought close peace offerings. And the people sat to eat and drank and rose to make fun.

² who called the people to the sacrifices of their elohim. The people ate their sacrifices and bowed themselves down to their elohim.

²³ and the princes of the Philistines have been gathered together to sacrifice a great sacrifice to Dagon their elohim, and to rejoice; and they say, `Our elohim has given into our hand Samson our enemy..

³² and Jeroboam makes a festival in the eighth month, in the fifteenth day of the month, like the festival that [is] in Judah, and he offers on the altar--so did he in Beth-El--to sacrifice to the calves which he made, and he has appointed in Beth-El the priests of the high places that he made.

¹² If a ruler attends to the word of falsehood, All his ministers will be wicked."

²⁷ Now assembling are the satraps, prefects and viceroys and the king's retinue and are perceiving these masters, that the flame has no authority over their frames:The hair of their head it does not singe, their mantles it does not alter, and further, the smell of flame is not on them."

¹ Seemly is it before Darius to set up over the kingdom a hundred and twenty-seven satraps who shall be in all the kingdom. ² Over them are three chancellors, Daniel being one of them. These satraps shall be reporting on their decrees to the three of them, so no damage will be done to the king's administration." ³ Then this Daniel is set permanently over the chancellors and satraps, forasmuch as an excellent spirit is in him; moreover the king reflects whether to set him up over all the kingdom." ⁴ Then the chancellors and satraps are seeking to find a pretext against Daniel in regard to the administration of the kingdom. Yet no pretext or corruption at all can they find, forasmuch as he is faithful, and no carelessness or corruption at all is found in him."

⁶ Then these chancellors and satraps foregather with the king, and thus they say to him, "King Darius, live for the eons!" ⁷ Counseling are all--the chancellors of the kingdom, the prefects and satraps, the retinue and the viceroys--to set up a royal statute and to issue a mighty interdict that everyone who is petitioning a petition from anyone--whether eloah or mortal--for thirty days, except only from you, O king, shall be heaved into the vault of the lions."

² with whom the kings of the earth commit prostitution, and those dwelling on the earth are made drunk with the wine of her prostitution."

¹ {An Asaphic Psalm{ Elohim is stationed in the congregation of El; Among the elohim is He judging: ² How long shall you judge with iniquity And lift up the faces of the wicked? {Interlude{ ³ Redress the poor and the orphan; To the humbled and destitute grant justice. ⁴ Deliver the poor and the needy; From the hand of the wicked, give rescue." ⁵ {They do not know and are not understanding; In darkness are they walking about; All the foundations of the earth are slipping.{ ⁶ I Myself have said:you are elohim, And sons of the Supreme are all of you." ⁷ Yet you shall die like common humanity, And like any other of the chiefs you shall fall." ⁸ Do arise, O Elohim; do judge the earth; For it is You Yourself Who shall have the allotment of all the nations."

³⁴ Yet, on recognizing that he is a Jew, one voice came from all for about two hours, crying, "Great is Artemis of the Ephesians! Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!" ³⁵ Now, composing the throng, the scribe is averring, "Men! Ephesians!What man is there who does not know that the city of the Ephesians is sexton of the temple of the great Artemis and of that which fell from Zeus?

²¹ because, knowing God, not as God do they glorify or thank Him, but vain were they made in their reasonings, and darkened is their unintelligent heart." ²² Alleging themselves to be wise, they are made stupid, ²³ and they change the glory of the incorruptible God into the likeness of an image of a corruptible human being and flying creatures and quadrupeds and reptiles. ²⁴ Wherefore God gives them over, in the lusts of their hearts, to the uncleanness of dishonoring their bodies among themselves, ²⁵ those who alter the truth of God into the lie, and are venerated, and offer divine service to the creature rather than the Creator, Who is blessed for the eons! Amen!" ²⁶ Therefore God gives them over to dishonorable passions. For their females, besides, alter the natural use into that which is beside nature." ²⁷ Likewise also the males, besides, leaving the natural use of the female, were inflamed in their craving for one another, males with males effecting indecency, and getting back in themselves the retribution of their deception which must be." ²⁸ And according as they do not test God, to have Him in recognition, God gives them over to a disqualified mind, to do that which is not befitting,

¹¹ Not one is understanding. Not one is seeking out God.

²⁴ yet to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ, the power of God and the wisdom of God, ²⁵ for the stupidity of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men." ²⁶ For you are observing your calling, brethren, that there are not many wise according to the flesh; not many powerful, not many noble,

¹³ And it is doing great signs, that it may be making fire, also, descend out of heaven into the earth in the sight of mankind." ¹⁴ And it is deceiving those dwelling on the earth because of the signs which were given it to do in the sight of the wild beast, saying to those dwelling on the earth to make an image to the wild beast which has the blow of the sword and lives." ¹⁵ And it was given to it to give spirit to the image of the wild beast, that the image of the wild beast should be speaking also, and should be causing that whosoever should not be worshiping the image of the wild beast may be killed." ¹⁶ And it is causing all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free and the slaves, that they may be giving them an emblem on their right hand, or on their forehead,

¹³ These have one opinion, and they are giving their power and authority to the wild beast."

¹⁷ for God imparts to their hearts to form His opinion, and to form one opinion, and to give their kingdom to the wild beast, until the words of God shall be accomplished."

⁹ So the king's scribes were called at that time, in the third month, that is, the month of Sivan, on the twenty-third day of it. All was written, just as Mordecai instructed them, to the Jews and to the satraps, the viceroys and chief officials of all the provinces, 127 provinces from India unto Nubia, to each province in its provincial writing, and to each people in its popular tongue, and to the Jews in their writing and in their tongue.

¹³ The woman, stupidity, is clamorous and simple, And she does not know anything at all." ¹⁴ She sits at the portal of her house, On a covered seat at the heights of the town, ¹⁵ Calling to those passing on the way, Those going straight along their paths:"

⁹ On a mountain lofty ascend; go you, tidings-bearer, to Zion! Raise high your voice with vigor, tidings-bearer, to Jerusalem! Raise it high! You must not fear! Say to the cities of Judah, "Behold your Elohim!"

¹ Call with a full throat! You must not keep back! As a trumpet, raise high your voice! And tell to My people their transgression, and to the house of Jacob their sins."

¹ Nebuchadnezzar the king, to all peoples, leagues and language-groups that are abiding in the entire earth:Your welfare be growing great!"

¹⁴ He is calling with potency and this is what he is saying, `Slash down the oak; cut away its boughs. Shake off its leaves; scatter its pollinated fruit. Wander shall the animals from under it, and the birds from its boughs."

²⁵ Then Darius the king writes to all peoples, leagues, and language-groups that are abiding in all the earth, "Your welfare be growing great!"

¹¹ Ephraim shall be extorted and bruised in judgment, for he is disposed to go after futilities."

¹⁶ They are keeping the statutes of Omri, and every deed of the house of Ahab; and you are going in their counsels, that I may give you up to desolation, and its dwellers to hissing, and you shall bear the reproach of My people."

⁷ Wherefore, at the stated time, as all the people are hearing the sound of the horn, the pipe, the lyre, the sambuke, the psalteries--all sorts of music in concert--falling down are all the peoples, leagues and language-groups, and worshiping the golden image that is set up by Nebuchadnezzar the king."

¹⁰ You, O king, promulgate a decree that every mortal that shall hear the sound of the horn, the pipe, the lyre, the sambuke, the psalteries--all sorts of music in concert--shall fall down and worship the golden image;"

¹⁵ Actually, should you now be ready, then, as soon as you are hearing the sound of the horn, the pipe, the lyre, the sambuke, the psalteries--all sorts of music in concert--you shall fall down and worship the golden image that I made. And should you not be ready, you know that if you are not worshiping, in the same hour shall you be heaved into the midst of the glowing, flaming furnace. And who is the eloah that will deliver you from my hands?

²⁸ And gazing is he on the surface of Sodom and Gomorrah and on all the surface of the land of the basin, and is seeing, and behold! Up go the fumes of the land as the fumes of a limekiln.

⁵ You shall not bow yourself down to them, nor be made to serve them, for I, Yahweh your Elohim, am a jealous El, visiting the depravity of the fathers on the sons, on the third and on the fourth generation, to those hating Me,

¹⁷ And the remnant of it he makes into an el. To a decaying tree, to it is he falling on his knees and face. And he is worshiping, and praying to it, and saying, `Rescue me, for my el are you!'"

²² And taken from them has been a reviling by all the removed of Judah that [are] in Babylon, saying, Yahweh does set you as Zedekiah, and as Ahab, whom the king of Babylon roasted with fire;"

¹⁸ The house of Israel has been to Me for dross, All of them [are] brass, and tin, and iron, and lead, In the midst of a furnace--dross has silver been, ¹⁹ Therefore, thus said the Lord Yahweh:Because of your all becoming dross, Therefore, lo, I am gathering you unto the midst of Jerusalem, ²⁰ A gathering of silver, and brass, and iron, and lead, and tin, Unto the midst of a furnace--to blow on it fire, to melt it, So do I gather in Mine anger and in My fury, And I have let rest, and have melted you." ²¹ And I have heaped you up, And blown on you in the fire of My wrath, And you have been melted in its midst." ²² As the melting of silver in the midst of a furnace, So are you melted in its midst, And you have known that I, Yahweh, I have poured out My fury upon you.'"

⁵ Answering is the king and saying to the Chaldeans, "The matter is departing from me. Should you not be making known to me the dream and its interpretation, you shall be dismembered, and the confiscation of your houses shall be promulgated."

¹² Wherefore the king is angry and has great wrath, and says to destroy all the wise men of Babylon." ¹³ Then the edict is issued to despatch all the wise men, and they seek Daniel and all his partners to be dispatched."

¹¹ and whoever shall not fall down and worship the golden image shall be heaved into the midst of the glowing, flaming furnace."

²¹ Then these masters truss them up in their mantles, their turbans on their heads, their garb and their clothing, and heave them into the midst of the glowing, flaming furnace."

⁷ Counseling are all--the chancellors of the kingdom, the prefects and satraps, the retinue and the viceroys--to set up a royal statute and to issue a mighty interdict that everyone who is petitioning a petition from anyone--whether eloah or mortal--for thirty days, except only from you, O king, shall be heaved into the vault of the lions."

⁹ And he said to Him, "All these to you will I be giving, if ever, falling down, you should be worshiping me."

⁴² and they shall be casting them into a furnace of fire. There shall be lamentation and gnashing of teeth.

²⁷ And straightway the king, dispatching, enjoins a lifeguardsman to bring his head. And, coming away, he beheads him in the jail,

² And he opens the well of the submerged chaos, and fumes ascended out of the well as the smoke of a large furnace, and the sun and the air are darkened by the fumes of the well."

¹⁵ And it was given to it to give spirit to the image of the wild beast, that the image of the wild beast should be speaking also, and should be causing that whosoever should not be worshiping the image of the wild beast may be killed." ¹⁶ And it is causing all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free and the slaves, that they may be giving them an emblem on their right hand, or on their forehead, ¹⁷ and that no one may be able to buy or sell except the one having the emblem of the wild beast, or its name, or the number of its name."

¹¹ And the fumes of their torment are ascending for the eons of the eons. And they are having no rest day and night, those worshiping the wild beast and its image, and if anyone is getting the emblem of its name."

⁷ A golden cup [is] Babylon in the hand of Yahweh, Making drunk all the earth, Of its wine drunk have nations, Therefore boast themselves do nations."

¹⁶ Who, in bygone generations, leaves all the nations to go their ways,

¹⁹ We are aware that we are of God, and the whole world is lying in the wicked one."

⁹ And the great dragon was cast out, the ancient serpent called Adversary and Satan, who is deceiving the whole inhabited earth. It was cast into the earth, and its messengers were cast with it."

³ And I perceived one of its heads as if it had been slain to death, and its death blow was cured, and the whole earth marvels after the wild beast."

⁸ And all who are dwelling on the earth will be worshiping it, everyone whose name is not written in the scroll of life of the Lambkin slain from the disruption of the world."

¹⁴ And it is deceiving those dwelling on the earth because of the signs which were given it to do in the sight of the wild beast, saying to those dwelling on the earth to make an image to the wild beast which has the blow of the sword and lives."

⁸ The wild beast which you perceived was, and is not, and is about to be ascending out of the submerged chaos, and to be going away into destruction. And marvel shall those dwelling on the earth, whose names are not written on the scroll of life from the disruption of the world, when they observe the wild beast, seeing that it was, and is not, and will be present."

²⁰ And the wild beast is arrested, and with it the false prophet who does the signs in its sight, by which he deceives those getting the emblem of the wild beast, and those worshiping its image. Living, the two were cast into the lake of fire burning with sulphur."

¹² let it become known to the king that the Judeans who came up here from you to us, have arrived at Jerusalem. They are rebuilding the revolting and stinking town. They are completing the walls and are repairing the foundations. ¹³ Now let it become known to the king that, if this town should be rebuilt and the walls be completed, they shall not pay tribute, tax or toll, and it shall cause damage to the revenue of the kings. ¹⁴ Now forasmuch as we have salted the salt of the palace, and it is not proper for us to perceive the denuding of the king, we have sent and have let the king know of this, ¹⁵ that one should make a quest in the scroll of the memoranda of your fathers. Then you shall find in the scroll of the memoranda and you shall know that this town is a revolting town, causing damage to kings and provinces. Those making insurrections were in its midst from the days of the eon. On this account this town was laid waste. ¹⁶ We are making known to the king, if this town should be rebuilt and the walls should be completed, because of this there will be no portion for you in the province Beyond-the-Stream.

⁶ But it was despicable in his eyes to lay hand on Mordecai alone (for they had told him about Mordecai's people); so Haman sought out to exterminate all the Jews, Mordecai's people, who were in the entire kingdom of Xerxes.

⁸ Then Haman said to king Xerxes:There is a certain people dispersed and parted among the peoples in all the provinces of your kingdom; and their edicts are diverse from any other people. They are not obeying the king's edicts, and for the king it is not appropriate to tolerate them. ⁹ If it seems good to the king, it may be written to destroy them; and for the hands of those doing the work I shall weigh out ten thousand silver talents to bring to the king's depositories.

¹⁰ Answering are the Chaldeans before the king and saying, "Actually no mortal on earth can disclose the king's matter, forasmuch as any other king, grandee, or authority does not ask a matter such as this of any sacred scribe, or magus or Chaldean."

¹² Then they draw near and are speaking before the king concerning the king's interdict, "Did you not sign an interdict that every mortal who is petitioning from anyone--whether eloah or mortal--for thirty days, except only from you, O king, shall be heaved into the vault of the lions?Answering is the king and saying, "Certain is the matter as an edict of the Medes and Persians which shall not pass away." ¹³ Then they respond and are saying before the king, "Daniel, who is of the sons of the deportation of Judah, does not promulgate for you, O king, the decree, the interdict that you signed:At stated times, thrice in the day, he is petitioning his petitions before his Eloah."

²⁰ and, leading them to the officers, say, "These men are confounding our city. Belonging to the Jews, they are" ²¹ also announcing customs which it is not allowed us to assent to, nor to do, being Romans." ²² And the throng assailed them, and the officers, tearing off their garments, ordered them to be flogged with rods."

⁶ Now, not finding them, they dragged Jason and some brethren to the city magistrates, imploring that "Those who raise the inhabited earth to insurrection, these are present in this place also, ⁷ whom Jason has entertained. And all these are committing things contravening the decrees of Caesar, saying there is a different king, Jesus." ⁸ Now they disturb the throng and the city magistrates on hearing these things.

²² Now we count it worthwhile to hear from you what your disposition is. For, indeed, concerning this sect, it is known to us that everywhere it is being contradicted."

³ For sufficient is the time which has passed by to have effected the intention of the nations, having gone on in wantonness, lusts, debauches, revelries, drinking bouts, and illicit idolatries, ⁴ while they are thinking it strange of you not to race together into the same puddle of profligacy, calumniating you;"

⁴ Speaking are the Chaldeans to the king in Syriac, "O king, live for the eon! State the dream to your servants, and we will disclose the interpretation."

⁴ Then the herald is calling with potency to the throng, "To you it is commanded, O nations, peoples, leagues and language-groups!" ⁵ As soon as you shall hear the sound of the horn, the pipe, the lyre, the sambuke, the psalteries-- all sorts of music in concert--you shall fall down and worship the golden image that is set up by Nebuchadnezzar the king."

¹⁰ Then the queen, in view of the declarations of the king and his grandees, goes into the house of feasting. The queen responds and says, "O king, live for the eons! Your ruminations must not fluster you, and your mien must not be altering."

⁶ Then these chancellors and satraps foregather with the king, and thus they say to him, "King Darius, live for the eons!"

²¹ Then Daniel declares to the king, "O king, live for the eons!"

⁷ Render to all their dues, to whom tax, tax, to whom tribute, tribute, to whom fear, fear, to whom honor, honor."

¹⁶ and said: In your midwifery for the Hebrew women, when you see them on the bracing stones, if it is a son then you will put him to death, and if it is a daughter then she will live.

²² Then Pharaoh instructed all his people, saying: Every son born to the Hebrews, into the waterway shall you fling him, yet every daughter you shall keep alive.

²⁰ Then Miriam, the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took the tambourine in her hand, and all the women went forth after her with tambourines and with choruses. ²¹ And Miriam responded to them: Sing to Yahweh, for He is august, yea august: The horse and its rider He heaved into the sea.

¹⁸ Yet he said: There is no sound of the response of mastery, and there is no sound of the response of defeat; the sound of responsive singing I hear. ¹⁹ And it came to be just as he drew near to the camp and saw the calf and the choruses that Moses' anger grew hot, and he flung from his hands the tablets and broke them below the mountain.

¹⁶ And David said to the heads of the Levites to appoint their brethren the singers, with instruments of song, psalteries, and harps, and cymbals, sounding, to lift up with the voice for joy.

²⁸ And all Israel are bringing up the ark of the covenant of Yahweh with shouting, and with the sound of a cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, sounding with psalteries and harps,

⁵ Asaph the head, and his second Zechariah; Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obed-Edom, and Jeiel, with instruments of psalteries, and with harps; and Asaph with cymbals is sounding;" ⁶ and Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests [are] with trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant of Elohim.

¹ And David and the heads of the host separate for service, of the sons of Asaph, and Heman, and Jeduthun, who are prophesying with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals, and the number of the workmen is according to their service. ² Of sons of Asaph:Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethaniah, and Asharelah, sons of Asaph, [are] by the side of Asaph, who is prophesying by the side of the king. ³ Of Jeduthun:sons of Jeduthun, Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, Shisshah, [are] by the side of their father Jeduthun; with a harp he is prophesying, for giving of thanks and of praise to Yahweh. ⁴ Of Heman:sons of Heman:Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamti-Ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, Mahazioth;" ⁵ all these [are] sons of Heman--seer of the king in the things of Elohim--to lift up a horn; and Elohim gives to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters. ⁶ All these [are] by the side of their father in the song of the house of Yahweh, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, for the service of the house of Elohim; by the side of the king [are] Asaph, and Jeduthun, and Heman.

²⁵ And he appoints the Levites in the house of Yahweh with cymbals, with psalteries, and with harps, by the command of David, and of Gad, seer of the king, and of Nathan the prophet, for by the hand of Yahweh [is] the command, by the hand of His prophets;"

¹² Then the king's scribes were called in the first month, on the thirteenth day of it. According to all the instructions that Haman had given, it was written to the king's satraps, to the viceroys who were over the different provinces, and to the chief officials of the different peoples, to each province in its own provincial writing, and to each people in its own popular tongue. It was written in the name of king Xerxes and was sealed with the king's ring. ¹³ Letters were sent by means of couriers to all the king's provinces, to exterminate, to kill and to destroy all the Jews from youth unto old age, both little ones and women, on a single day, the thirteenth of the twelfth month (that is, the month of Adar), and to plunder the loot of them. ¹⁴ A transcript of the written text was to be promulgated as an edict in all the different provinces and was to be revealed to all the peoples, namely, to become equipped for this day.

¹ {Asaphic{ Be jubilant to Elohim, our Strength; Raise a joyful shout to the Elohim of Jacob!" ² Lift up a melody, and sound forth the tambourine, The pleasant harp with the zither." ³ Blow the trumpet in the new moon, In the full moon for the day of our celebration."

¹ {A Psalm, A Song for the Sabbath Day{ Good is it to acclaim Yahweh, And to make melody to Your Name, O Supreme!" ² To tell, in the morning, Your benignity, And Your faithfulness in the nights, ³ On ten strings and on the zither, In a chant with a harp."

²⁰ Could a throne of woes be made partner with You, One forming misery by its statute?

³ May they praise His Name in chorus; With tambourine and harp may they make melody to Him. ⁴ For Yahweh is placing approval on His people; He is making the humble beautiful with salvation.

³ Praise Him with the blowing of a trumpet; Praise Him with zither and harp. ⁴ Praise Him with tambourine and in chorus; Praise Him with lute and shepherd's pipe. ⁵ Praise Him with resounding cymbals; Praise Him with shouting cymbals. ⁶ May all that has breath praise Yah. Praise Yah.

¹⁶ Yet further, I have seen under the sun, Where the place of judgment is, there is wickedness, And where the place of justice is, there is wickedness."

¹ Woe to the statute makers of lawless statutes! And writings iniquitous they write,

⁴ Then the herald is calling with potency to the throng, "To you it is commanded, O nations, peoples, leagues and language-groups!" ⁵ As soon as you shall hear the sound of the horn, the pipe, the lyre, the sambuke, the psalteries-- all sorts of music in concert--you shall fall down and worship the golden image that is set up by Nebuchadnezzar the king." ⁶ And whoever shall not fall down and worship, in the same hour shall he be heaved into the midst of the glowing, flaming furnace." ⁷ Wherefore, at the stated time, as all the people are hearing the sound of the horn, the pipe, the lyre, the sambuke, the psalteries--all sorts of music in concert--falling down are all the peoples, leagues and language-groups, and worshiping the golden image that is set up by Nebuchadnezzar the king."

⁵ those twanging at the bidding of the zither, as David, they devise for themselves instruments of song;"

⁵⁷ Now the chief priests and the Pharisees had given directions that if anyone should know where He is, he should be divulging it, so that they should be arresting Him."

⁷ and the women answer--those playing, and say, `Saul has smitten among his thousands, And David among his myriads.. <sup>8</sup> And it is displeasing to Saul exceedingly, and this thing is evil in his eyes, and he said, `They have given to David myriads, and to me they have given the thousands, and more to him [is] only the kingdom;. ⁹ and Saul is eyeing David from that day and thenceforth. ¹⁰ And it comes to pass, on the morrow, that the spirit of sadness [from] Elohim prospers over Saul, and he prophesies in the midst of the house, and David is playing with his hand, as day by day, and the javelin [is] in the hand of Saul, ¹¹ and Saul casts the javelin, and said, `I smite through David, even through the wall;' and David turns round out of his presence twice.

⁸ Then Haman said to king Xerxes:There is a certain people dispersed and parted among the peoples in all the provinces of your kingdom; and their edicts are diverse from any other people. They are not obeying the king's edicts, and for the king it is not appropriate to tolerate them.

⁴ Fury is cruel, and anger overwhelming, Yet who can stand before jealousy?

⁴ And I saw all the toil and all the success of the work done, That it was jealousy of one man over his associate; This too is vanity and a grazing on wind."

⁴⁹ Then Daniel petitions the king, and he assigns Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego over the administration of the province of Babylon. Thus Daniel is in the gateway of the king."

¹³ Then they respond and are saying before the king, "Daniel, who is of the sons of the deportation of Judah, does not promulgate for you, O king, the decree, the interdict that you signed:At stated times, thrice in the day, he is petitioning his petitions before his Eloah."

²⁸ saying, "Do we not charge you with a charge not to be teaching in this Name? And lo! you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and are intending to bring on us the blood of this man."

⁷ whom Jason has entertained. And all these are committing things contravening the decrees of Caesar, saying there is a different king, Jesus."

⁵ yet to Cain and to his present offering He does not give heed. And hot is Cain's anger exceedingly, and falling is his face.

³⁰ And the anger of Saul burns against Jonathan, and he said to him, `Son of a perverse rebellious woman! have I not known that you are fixing on the son of Jesse to your shame, and to the shame of the nakedness of your mother? <sup>31</sup> for all the days that the son of Jesse lives on the ground you are not established, you and your kingdom; and now, send and bring him unto me, for he [is] a son of death.. <sup>32</sup> And Jonathan answers Saul his father, and said unto him, `Why is he put to death? what has he done?. ³³ And Saul casts the javelin at him to smite him, and Jonathan knows that it has been determined by his father to put David to death.

⁵ When Haman saw that Mordecai was not bowing down nor prostrating himself before him, Haman was filled with fury. ⁶ But it was despicable in his eyes to lay hand on Mordecai alone (for they had told him about Mordecai's people); so Haman sought out to exterminate all the Jews, Mordecai's people, who were in the entire kingdom of Xerxes.

¹² Let a bereaved bear encounter a man, But certainly not a stupid person in his folly."

³ Heavy is stone, and weighty is sand, Yet vexation from a fool is heavier than them both."

²² An angry man stirs up a quarrel, And a furious person works much transgression."

¹² Wherefore the king is angry and has great wrath, and says to destroy all the wise men of Babylon."

¹⁹ Then Nebuchadnezzar is full of fury, and the mien of his visage alters against Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego. He is answering and saying to heat the furnace seven units over what he perceives it to be already heated."

¹⁸ Now before governors and kings also shall you be led on My account, for a testimony to them and to the nations."

⁹ The beginning of pangs are these. Yet you be looking to yourselves, for they shall be giving you up to the sanhedrins, and in synagogues shall you be lashed, and before governors and even kings shall you stand on My account, for a testimony to them."

¹¹ Now they are filled with folly, and they spoke about it to one another, saying, What should they be doing to Jesus?

¹² Yet before all these things they shall be laying their hands on you and they shall be persecuting you, giving you up into the synagogues and jails, being led off to kings and governors on account of My name."

²⁵ Now someone, coming along, reports to them that "Lo! the men whom you placed in the jail are in the sanctuary, standing and teaching the people." ²⁶ Then the officer, together with the deputies, coming forth, led them, but not with violence, for they feared the people, lest they should be stoned." ²⁷ Now, leading them, they stand them in the Sanhedrin. And the chief priest inquires of them,

²⁴ Now after some days, Felix, coming along with Drusilla, his wife (being a Jewess), sends after Paul and hears him concerning the faith in Christ Jesus."

¹³ But if he had no malicious intent, yet the One, Elohim, He had fated him into his hand, then I set for you a place where he shall flee. ¹⁴ Yet in case a man was planning arrogantly against his associate so as to kill him by craft, from My altar shall you take him to die.

¹ Bows Bel! Stoops Nebo! Their grief fetishes have come to be for the animal, and for the beast are your carriers laden. Their announcings are a load for the faint."

² `Declare you among nations, and sound, And lift up an ensign, sound, do not hide, Say you:Captured has been Babylon, Put to shame has been Bel, Broken has been Merodach, Put to shame have been her grievous things, Broken have been her idols."

¹ In the eighteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar, the king made an image of gold. Its height was sixty cubits and its breadth six cubits. He set it up in Dura valley in the province of Babylon."

⁸ Further, last of all, Daniel comes in before me, whose name is Belteshazzar, after the name of my eloah. Now, seeing that the spirit of the holy Elohim is in him, I state the dream before him also:"

² Yet Pharaoh said: Who is Yahweh to Whose voice I should hearken to dismiss Israel? I do not know Yahweh! And, moreover, Israel I shall not dismiss.

³² And now, if You should bear their sin, bear it. Yet if not, wipe me, I pray, from Your scroll which You have written.

³⁵ Who [are they] among all the elohims of the lands that have delivered their land out of my hand, that Yahweh does deliver Jerusalem out of my hand?.

¹⁵ `And, now, let not Hezekiah lift you up, nor persuade you thus, nor give credence to him, for no elohim of any nation and kingdom is able to deliver his people from my hand, and from the hand of my fathers:also, surely your Eloah does not deliver you from my hand!. <sup>16</sup> And again have his servants spoken against Yahweh Elohim, and against Hezekiah His servant, <sup>17</sup> and letters he has written to give reproach to Yahweh, Elohim of Israel, and to speak against Him, saying, `As the elohims of the nations of the lands that have not delivered their people from my hand, so the Elohim of Hezekiah does not deliver His people from my hand..

¹⁸ lest Hezekiah shall incite you, saying, "Yahweh will rescue you.Did the elohim of the nations rescue any man's land from the hand of the king of Assyria? ¹⁹ Where are the elohim of Hamath and Arphad? Where are the elohim of Sepharvaim, Hena and Ivah? And where are the elohim of the land of Samaria? And when have they rescued Samaria from my hand? ²⁰ Which, among all the elohim of these lands, have rescued their land from my hand, assuring you that Yahweh will rescue Jerusalem from my hand?'"

²³ Whom do you reproach and taunt? And against Whom do you raise high your voice? And you are lifting up your eyes to the height against the Holy One of Israel?

⁵ As soon as you shall hear the sound of the horn, the pipe, the lyre, the sambuke, the psalteries-- all sorts of music in concert--you shall fall down and worship the golden image that is set up by Nebuchadnezzar the king." ⁶ And whoever shall not fall down and worship, in the same hour shall he be heaved into the midst of the glowing, flaming furnace."

¹⁷ Should it actually happen, our Eloah in the heavens, Whom we are serving, can deliver us from the glowing, flaming furnace; and from your hand, O king, will He deliver us."

²⁸ Responding is king Nebuchadnezzar and saying, "Blessed be their Eloah--that of Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego--Who sent His messenger and delivered His servants who are relying on Him, when they alter the king's declaration. They granted their frames to the fire, seeing that they will not serve, neither worship any other eloah, only their Eloah." ²⁹ Now from me shall be promulgated a decree that, in every people, league, and language-group, whoever is saying aught carelessly against their Eloah--that of Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego--shall be dismembered and his house shall be the equivalent of a confiscation, forasmuch as there is actually not another Eloah Who can rescue as this One."

¹⁶ Then the king says the word, and they bring hither Daniel and heave him into the vault of the lions. Calling is the king to Daniel and saying, "Your Eloah, Whom you are serving in abidance, He will deliver you!"

²⁰ In a fluster he departs to the vault of the lions, and, as he is near the vault, he cries out to Daniel in a staunch voice. Calling is the king to Daniel and saying, "Daniel, servant of the living Eloah, your Eloah Whom you are serving in abidance, He could deliver you from the mouths of the lions?

¹⁹ Now, whenever they may be giving you up, you should not be worrying about how or what you should be speaking, for it shall be given you in that hour what you should be speaking,

⁴³ He has confidence in God. Let Him rescue him now, if He is wanting him, for he said that 'God's Son am I!'"

¹¹ And whenever they may be leading you off, to give you over, do not worry beforehand what you should be speaking, neither be meditating, but whatsoever may be given to you in that hour, this be speaking, for it is not you who are speaking, but the holy spirit."

⁷ If you, then, should ever be worshiping before me, it will all be yours." ⁸ And answering, Jesus said to Him, "Go away behind Me, Satan! It is written, The Lord your God shall you be worshiping, and to Him only shall you be offering divine service."

¹¹ Now whenever they may be bringing you before the synagogues and the chiefs and the authorities, you should not be worrying about how or what your defense should be or what you may say,

⁹ And if, indeed, it ever should be producing fruit in the impending year-otherwise you shall surely hew it down.'"

¹⁴ Ponder, then, in your hearts not to be premeditating a defense, ¹⁵ for I will be giving you a mouth and wisdom, which all those opposing you shall not be able to withstand or contradict."

⁸ Then Peter, being filled with holy spirit, said to them, "Chiefs of the people and elders!" ⁹ If we today are being examined as to the benefaction to the infirm man, by what he has been saved, ¹⁰ let it be known to you all and to the entire people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ, the Nazarene, Whom you crucify, Whom God rouses from among the dead, in this name, this man stands by before you sound." ¹¹ This is the Stone that is being scorned by you builders, which is becoming the head of the corner." ¹² And there is no salvation in any other one, for neither is there any other name, given under heaven among men, in which we must be saved."

¹⁹ Yet Peter and John, answering, said to them, "If it is just in the sight of God to be hearing you rather than God, you judge;"

²⁹ Yet answering, Peter and the apostles say, "One must yield to God rather than to men."

¹⁵ And looking intently at him, all those seated in the Sanhedrin perceived his face as if it were the face of a messenger."

¹⁰ Besides, Paul, the governor nodding to him to speak, answered, "Being versed in the fact that for many years you are a judge in this nation, cheerfully am I defending that which concerns myself, ¹¹ at your being able to recognize that it is not more than twelve days since I went up to worship in Jerusalem. ¹² And they neither found me in the sanctuary arguing with anyone, or making a concourse of the throng, nor in the synagogues, nor at the city, ¹³ nor can they present evidence to you for that concerning which they are now accusing me.

⁷ When the chief of the eunuchs is giving names to them, he is naming Daniel Belteshazzar, Hananiah Shadrach, Mishael Meshach, and Azariah Abed-nego."

¹² Actually, the Jewish masters whom you assigned over the administration of the province of Babylon--Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego--these masters did not act on your decree, O king:Your eloah they are not serving, the golden image that you set up they are not worshipping."

¹ And coming is Abram to be ninety nine years of age. And appearing is Yahweh to Abram and is saying to him, "I am the El-Who-Suffices. Walk before Me and become flawless.

¹⁴ Is it a matter too marvelous for Yahweh Elohim? At the appointed time will I return to you according to the season of life, and Sarah has a son.

³⁷ And David said, `Yahweh, who delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, He does deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.' And Saul said unto David, `Go, and Yahweh is with you..

⁴⁶ This day does Yahweh shut you up into my hand--and I have smitten you, and turned aside your head from off you, and given the carcase of the camp of the Philistines this day to the fowl of the heavens, and to the beast of the earth, and all the earth do know that Elohim is for Israel.

¹⁹ In six distresses He shall rescue you, And in seven, evil shall not touch you.

²⁹ When He is quiet, who can condemn? When He conceals His face, who can regard Him? Yet He is over a nation and over humanity alike.

¹⁰ He rode on a cherub and flew; So He swooped down on the wings of the wind. ¹¹ He set darkness as His concealment round about Him; His booth was the darkness of waters, the thick clouds of the skies."

¹ {Davidic{ Yahweh is my Light and my Salvation; Whom should I fear? Yahweh is the Stronghold of my life; Of whom should I be afraid? ² When evildoers drew near against me To devour my flesh, They who were to me my foes and my enemies, They stumbled and fell."

¹ {A Davidic Psalm{ Only in Elohim is my soul stilled; From Him comes my salvation. ² He only is my Rock and my Salvation, My Impregnable Retreat; I shall not slip more." ³ How long shall you foes be hostile against a man, All of you, that you may murder him, As though he were a slanting sidewall Or a foundering stone dike? ⁴ They intrigue only to trip him up from his dignity; They approve of lies; With their mouth they bless, Yet within them, they are maledicting. {Interlude{ " ⁵ Only in Elohim be still, O my soul, For from Him comes my expectation." ⁶ He only is my Rock and my Salvation, My Impregnable Retreat; I shall not slip."

²⁰ Like a dream when one is waking, O Yahweh, when rousing, You shall lay waste their phantom."

³ Indeed our Elohim is in the heavens; All that He desires, He does."

⁵ Yahweh is your Guardian; Yahweh is your Protecting Shade at your right hand. ⁶ By day the sun shall not smite you, Nor the moon by night." ⁷ Yahweh Himself shall guard you from all peril; He shall guard your soul.

² Behold! El is my Salvation. I am trusting in Him and am not afraid. For my Strength and Melody is Yah, Yahweh, and He is becoming mine for salvation."

³ It is formed to support the preservation of welfare, welfare that trusts in You." ⁴ Trust in Yahweh for the futures of the future. For in Yah, Yahweh is a Rock for the eons."

¹⁴ In righteousness shall you establish yourself. Be far from extortion, for you shall not fear, and from dismay, for it shall not come near to you."

⁸ Be not afraid of their faces, for with you [am] I to deliver you, --an affirmation of Yahweh.'"

³⁵ All abiding on the earth are reckoned as naught:According to His will is He doing in the army of the heavens and with those abiding on the earth. And no one will actually clap with his hands and say to Him, "What doest Thou?

²⁰ In a fluster he departs to the vault of the lions, and, as he is near the vault, he cries out to Daniel in a staunch voice. Calling is the king to Daniel and saying, "Daniel, servant of the living Eloah, your Eloah Whom you are serving in abidance, He could deliver you from the mouths of the lions? ²¹ Then Daniel declares to the king, "O king, live for the eons!" ²² My Eloah sent His messenger, and he closed the mouths of the lions that they could not harm me; forasmuch as before Him it is found that I am purged; and indeed, also before you, O king, no harm have I done."

²⁷ He is delivering and rescuing. He is doing signs and amazing things in the heavens and on the earth--He Who delivers Daniel from the paws of the lions."

³⁷ seeing that it will not be impossible with God to fulfill His every declaration."

²⁴ But of nothing have I a word, nor yet am I making my soul precious to myself, till I should be perfecting my career and the dispensation which I got from the Lord Jesus, to certify the evangel of the grace of God."

¹³ Then Paul answered and said, "What are you doing, lamenting and unnerving my heart? For I hold myself in readiness, not only to be bound, but to die also in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus."

²⁰ Now neither sun nor constellations making their advent for more days, and besides, no slight tempest lying on us, all further expectation of our being saved was taken from us." ²¹ Besides, there being much inherent abstinence, then Paul, standing in the midst of them, said, "It was binding on you, indeed, O men, yielding to me, not to have set out from Crete, to gain, besides this damage, also the forfeit." ²² And now I am exhorting you to be cheerful, for not one soul from among you will be cast away, more than the ship." ²³ For there stood beside me this night a messenger of God, Whose I am, to Whom I am offering divine service also, ²⁴ saying,'Fear not, Paul! Before Caesar you must stand. And lo! graciously has God granted you all those who are sailing with you.'" ²⁵ Wherefore, be cheerful, men, for I am believing God that thus it will be even in the manner which has been spoken to me."

³¹ What then, shall we declare to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?

²⁵ Whence, also, He is able to save to the uttermost those coming to God through Him, always being alive to be pleading for their sake."

³ You shall not come to have other elohim in preference to Me. ⁴ You shall not make for yourself a carving nor any representation of that in the heavens above or that on the earth beneath, or that in the waters beneath the earth. ⁵ You shall not bow yourself down to them, nor be made to serve them, for I, Yahweh your Elohim, am a jealous El, visiting the depravity of the fathers on the sons, on the third and on the fourth generation, to those hating Me,

⁴ Do not turn around to the forbidden idols; and molten elohim you shall not make for yourselves:I, Yahweh, am your Elohim.

¹⁵ and if wrong in your eyes to serve Yahweh--choose for you to-day whom you do serve; --whether the elohims whom your fathers served, which [are] beyond the River, or the elohims of the Amorite in whose land you are dwelling; and I and my house--we serve Yahweh..

¹⁵ Behold, He may despatch me, yet I shall wait for Him; Yea, I shall plead my ways before His face.

¹ The wicked man flees when there is no one pursuing, Yet the righteous trust confidently like a sheltered lion."

¹² I, I am He, your Comforter. Who are you, that you are fearing a mortal who is dying, and a son of Adam who as grass is drying? ¹³ And you are forgetting Yahweh, your Maker, the One Who stretches out the heavens, and Founder of the earth. And you are afraid continually, the entire day, in view of the fury of the constrainer? As he prepares to ruin. Yet where is the fury of the constrainer?

²⁸ Responding is king Nebuchadnezzar and saying, "Blessed be their Eloah--that of Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego--Who sent His messenger and delivered His servants who are relying on Him, when they alter the king's declaration. They granted their frames to the fire, seeing that they will not serve, neither worship any other eloah, only their Eloah."

²⁸ And do not fear those who are killing the body, yet are not able to kill the soul. Yet be fearing Him, rather, Who is able to destroy the soul as well as the body in Gehenna."

³² Everyone, then, who shall be avowing Me in front of men, him will I also be avowing in front of My Father Who is in the heavens." ³³ Yet, who should ever be disowning Me in front of men, I also will be disowning him in front of My Father Who is in the heavens."

³⁹ He who is finding his soul will be destroying it, and he who destroys his soul on My account will be finding it."

² Now He, answering, said to them,

³ because whatever you say in the darkness shall be heard in the light, and what you speak in the ear in the storerooms shall be heralded on the housetops." ⁴ Now I am saying to you, My friends, be not afraid of those who are killing the body and after this do not have anything more excessive that they can do." ⁵ Now I shall be intimating to you of Whom you may be afraid: Be afraid of Him Who, after killing, has authority to be casting into Gehenna. Yea, I am saying to you, of this One be afraid!" ⁶ Are not five sparrows selling for two pence?-and not one of them is forgotten in God's sight." ⁷ But even the hairs of your head have all been numbered. Then do not fear! You are of more consequence than many sparrows. ⁸ Now I am saying to you that everyone whoever shall be avowing Me in front of men, him shall the Son of Mankind also be avowing in front of the messengers of God." ⁹ Now he who is disowning Me before men will be renounced before the messengers of God.

¹⁰ let it be known to you all and to the entire people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ, the Nazarene, Whom you crucify, Whom God rouses from among the dead, in this name, this man stands by before you sound." ¹¹ This is the Stone that is being scorned by you builders, which is becoming the head of the corner." ¹² And there is no salvation in any other one, for neither is there any other name, given under heaven among men, in which we must be saved." ¹³ Now on beholding the boldness of Peter and John, and grasping that they are unlettered and plain men, they marveled. Besides, they recognized them, that they were with Jesus."

²⁹ Yet answering, Peter and the apostles say, "One must yield to God rather than to men." ³⁰ Now the God of our fathers rouses Jesus, on Whom you lay hands, hanging Him on a pole." ³¹ This Inaugurator and Saviour, God exalts to His right hand, to give repentance to Israel and the pardon of sins." ³² We are witnesses to these declarations, as well as the holy spirit which God gives to those yielding to Him."

¹⁰ Fear nothing that you are about to be suffering. Lo! the Adversary is about to be casting some of you into jail that you may be tried, and you will be having affliction ten days. Become faithful until death, and I shall be giving you the wreath of life." ¹¹ '"Who has an ear, let him hear what the spirit is saying to the ecclesias. "'"The one who is conquering may under no circumstances be injured by the second death."

¹¹ And they conquer him through the blood of the Lambkin, and through the word of their testimony, and they love not their soul, until death."

⁵ yet to Cain and to his present offering He does not give heed. And hot is Cain's anger exceedingly, and falling is his face. ⁶ And saying is Yahweh Elohim to Cain, "Why is your anger hot? And why does your face fall?

² And seeing is Jacob the face of Laban, and behold! It is not with him as heretofore.

⁹ The enemy said: I shall pursue! I shall overtake! I shall apportion the loot! My soul's desire shall be fulfilled on them! I shall unsheathe my sword! My hand shall evict them! ¹⁰ You made a breeze with Your wind; the sea covered them. They submerged as lead in the noble waters.

¹⁸ And if, after these things, you should not hearken to Me, then I will continue to discipline you sevenfold for your sins.

²¹ If you go contrary to Me and are not willing to hearken to Me, then I will add smitings to you sevenfold according to your sins.

²⁴ then I will, indeed, go contrary to you, and I Myself will even smite you sevenfold for your sins.

²⁸ then I will go contrary to you in fury. And I Myself, indeed, will discipline you sevenfold for your sins.

³³ And he arranges the wood, and cuts in pieces the bullock, and places [it] on the wood, and said, `Fill you four pitchers of water, and pour on the burnt-offering, and on the wood;" <sup>34</sup> and he said, `Do [it] a second time;' and they do [it] a second time; and he said, `Do [it] a third time;' and they do [it] a third time;" ³⁵ and the water goes round about the altar, and also, the trench he has filled with water.

¹⁰ And Ben-Hadad sends unto him, and said, `Thus do the elohims to me, and thus do they add, if the dust of Samaria suffice for handfuls for all the people who [are] at my feet.. <sup>11</sup> And the king of Israel answers and said, `Speak you:let not him who is girding on boast himself as him who is loosing [his armor]..

²⁷ And your sitting down, and your going out, And your coming in, I have known, And your anger towards Me;" ²⁸ Because of your anger towards Me, And your noise--it came up into Mine ears, I have put My hook in your nose, And My bridle in your lips, And have caused you to turn back, In the way in which you came.

⁷ When the king, in his fury, arose from the wine feast to go into the garden of the pavilion, Haman stayed behind to appeal earnestly for his soul from queen Esther, for he saw that there was evil determined against him from the king.

¹⁰ For the fury of humanity, it is acclaiming You; The remainder of the fury shall celebrate to You."

¹⁴ The fury of a king is like many messengers of death, Yet a wise man shall appease it."

²⁴ The arrogant and ostentatious man-mocker is his name, The one who acts with raging arrogance."

³ Heavy is stone, and weighty is sand, Yet vexation from a fool is heavier than them both." ⁴ Fury is cruel, and anger overwhelming, Yet who can stand before jealousy?

²³ and I place it in the hand of your afflictors and your humblers, who say to your soul, `Prostrate, and we will pass.' And you are placing your body as the earth, and as a street for passers."

¹³ Then Nebuchadnezzar, disturbed and furious, says to bring hither Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego. Then these Jewish masters are brought hither before the king."

⁶ Then the king's mien alters and his ruminations are flustering him; the ligaments of his loins loosen up, and his knees are knocking one against the other."

²⁴ Then the king speaks the word, and they bring hither these masters who had accused Daniel, and into the vault of the lions they heaved them, their wives, and their sons. Yet they do not reach the earth of the vault before the lions have them in their power and pulverize all their ribs."

⁶³ saying, "Lord, we are reminded that that deceiver said while still living, 'After three days shall I be roused.'" ⁶⁴ Then order the sepulcher to be secured till the third day, lest at some time his disciples, coming, should be stealing him and may be saying to the people, 'He was roused from the dead,' and the last deception will be worse than the first." ⁶⁵ Yet Pilate averred to them, "You have a detail. Go, make it secure, as you are aware." ⁶⁶ Now they, being gone, secure the sepulcher, sealing the stone, with the detail."

³³ Now those who hear were harrowed, and they intended to assassinate them."

⁵⁴ Now, hearing these things, they were harrowed in their hearts, and gnashed their teeth at him."

⁴ whom, arresting also, he placed in jail, giving him over to four quaternions of soldiers to guard him, intending after the Passover to lead him up to the people." ⁵ Peter, indeed, then, was kept in the jail, yet prayer was earnestly made by the ecclesia to God concerning him."

²³ Besides, placing on them many blows, they cast them into jail, charging the warden to keep them securely,

²⁵ Now at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and sang hymns to God. Now the prisoners listened to them.

³³ Also the Egyptians were steadfast over the people to hasten to dismiss them from the land, for they said: All of us are dying.

⁸ The righteous one is extricated from distress, And the wicked one shall come in his stead."

¹⁸ The wicked man is a ransoming shelter for the righteous one, And the treacherous person is given instead of the upright."

¹⁵ He is responding and saying to Arioch, who has the king's authority, "Why is the edict before the king urgent?Then Arioch made the matter known to Daniel."

² Behold I am making Jerusalem a shivering threshold to all the peoples round about. And, moreover, over Judah it shall come to be in the siege over Jerusalem." ³ And it shall come to be in that day, I will make Jerusalem a stone, a lading for all the peoples; all laden with it shall be sorely lacerated, and all the nations of the earth shall be gathered against it."

⁵ And, tossing the silver pieces into the temple, he retires, and, coming away, strangles himself."

¹⁹ Now Herod, seeking for him and not finding him, examining the guards, orders them to be led away to death. And, coming down from Judea into Caesarea, he tarried there."

¹⁹ Many are the evils on the righteous one, But Yahweh shall rescue him from them all,

¹¹ You bring us into a fastness; You place pressure on our waists. ¹² You cause a mortal to ride over our head. We come through fire and through water, Yet You are bringing us forth into satiation."

¹ {A Song of Ascents, Davidic{ Unless Yahweh Himself had been for us, Now let Israel say, ² Unless Yahweh Himself had been for us, When mankind rose against us, ³ Then they would have swallowed us up alive In the heat of their anger against us; ⁴ Then the waters, they would have engulfed us, The torrent, it would have passed over our soul;" ⁵ Then there would have passed over our soul The rampaging waters.

⁶ And they take Jeremiah, and cast him into the pit of Malchiah son of the king, that [is] in the court of the prison, and they send down Jeremiah with cords; and in the pit there is no water, but mire, and Jeremiah sinks in the mire."

⁵² My enemies hunt, yea hunt me like a bird, gratuitously;" ⁵³ They efface my life in a dungeon, which they block up over me with a stone;" ⁵⁴ Waters float over my head; I say:I am severed;

¹⁶ Then the king says the word, and they bring hither Daniel and heave him into the vault of the lions. Calling is the king to Daniel and saying, "Your Eloah, Whom you are serving in abidance, He will deliver you!" ¹⁷ And hither is brought a single stone and placed on the mouth of the vault. The king seals it with his signet ring and with the signet rings of his grandees, that there be no altering of his will in regard to Daniel."

⁸ For we do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning our affliction which came to us in the province of Asia, that we were inordinately burdened, over our ability, so that we were despairing of life also." ⁹ But we have the rescript of death in ourselves, that we may be having no confidence in ourselves, but in God, Who rouses the dead, ¹⁰ Who rescues us from a death of such proportions, and will be rescuing; on Whom we rely that He will still be rescuing also;"

¹⁷ For the momentary lightness of our affliction is producing for us a transcendently transcendent eonian burden of glory,

¹² Beloved, do not think strange the conflagration among you, which is becoming a trial to you, as of something strange befalling you, ¹³ but, according as you are participating in the sufferings of Christ, rejoice, that you may be rejoicing, exulting in the unveiling of His glory also."

⁵⁵ And when Saul sees David going out to meet the Philistine, he has said unto Abner, head of the host, `Whose son [is] this--the youth, Abner?' and Abner said, `Your soul lives, O king, I have not known..

² Then Nebuchadnezzar, the king of the kings and rulers of the whole habitance, sends to assemble all the nations and leagues and language-groups:The satraps, the prefects, and the viceroys, the noble hieromancers, the governors, the magistrates, the jurists, and all the authorities of the provinces, to arrive for the dedication of the image that is set up by Nebuchadnezzar the king." ³ Then assembling are the satraps, the prefects, and the viceroys, the noble hieromancers, the governors, the magistrates, the jurists, and all the authorities of the provinces, for the dedication of the image that is set up by Nebuchadnezzar the king. And those registered are rising to receive the image that is set up by Nebuchadnezzar."

⁹ They respond and are saying to king Nebuchadnezzar, "O lord the king, live for the eons!" ¹⁰ You, O king, promulgate a decree that every mortal that shall hear the sound of the horn, the pipe, the lyre, the sambuke, the psalteries--all sorts of music in concert--shall fall down and worship the golden image;"

²² you it is, O king, seeing that you are increased and mighty, and your grandeur is increased, and reaches to the heavens, and your authority to the extremity of the earth."

²⁷ Only, O king, may my counsel to you be seemly:Break off your sins by being just, and your depravities by being gracious to the humble, in case your days of ease should be lengthened."

¹⁸ You, O king! The Supreme Eloah granted the kingdom and majesty and esteem and honor to Nebuchadnezzar your grandfather."

²² My Eloah sent His messenger, and he closed the mouths of the lions that they could not harm me; forasmuch as before Him it is found that I am purged; and indeed, also before you, O king, no harm have I done."

²³ saying that, "The prison we found locked with all security and the guards standing at the doors. Yet, when opening them, we found no one within." ²⁴ Now as they hear these words, both the officer of the sanctuary and the chief priests were bewildered concerning them, as to whatever may come of this." ²⁵ Now someone, coming along, reports to them that "Lo! the men whom you placed in the jail are in the sanctuary, standing and teaching the people."

⁶ Nevertheless, rise and enter the city, and it will be spoken to you what you must be doing."

¹³ Now at his knocking at the door of the portal, a maid approached to obey, named Rhoda."

¹³ at midday, on the road, I perceived, O king, a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining about me and those going together with me."

²⁷ King Agrippa, are you believing the prophets? I am aware that you are believing!"

⁶ There was a day when the sons of Elohim would come to station themselves before Yahweh, and Satan came also in their midst.

⁷ When the stars of the morning jubilated together, And all the sons of Elohim shouted with joy?

⁷ The messenger of Yahweh is encamping around those fearing Him, And He shall liberate them."

³ For He Himself shall rescue you from the snare of the trapper, From the plague of woes." ⁴ With His pinions shall He overshadow you, And under His wings shall you take refuge; A large shield and encircling-guard is His faithfulness." ⁵ You shall not fear the alarm at night, Or the arrow that flies by day, ⁶ Neither the plague that walks in gloom, Nor the sting that devastates at high noon." ⁷ A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; It shall not come close to you." ⁸ But with your eyes you shall look And see the repayment of the wicked. ⁹ For You, O Yahweh, are my Refuge! Because you have made the Supreme your habitation,

⁴ Who has ascended the heavens and descended? Who has gathered the wind in both His hands? Who has tied up the waters in a garment? Who has confirmed all the limits of the earth? What is His name, and what is His Son's name, in case you know?

² In case you are passing through the waters, I am with you. And through the streams, they shall not overflow you. In case you are going through fire, you shall not be scorched, and the blaze shall not consume among you."

¹⁸ Should He not, be it known to you, O king, that actually your elohim we will not serve, and the golden image that you set up we will not worship."

¹⁸ they will be picking up serpents; and if they should be drinking anything deadly, it should under no circumstances be harming them; they will be placing hands on those who are ailing, and ideally will they be having it."

³⁵ And answering, the messenger said to her, "Holy spirit shall be coming on you, and the power of the Most High shall be overshadowing you; wherefore also the holy One Who is being generated shall be called the Son of God."

⁷ The Jews answered him, "We have a law, and according to our law he ought to die, for he makes himself son of God." ⁸ When, then, Pilate hears this saying, he was the more afraid."

⁵ He, indeed, then, twitching the wild beast into the fire, suffered nothing evil."

⁴ Who is designated Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection of the dead),

¹³ And is there anyone who will be illtreating you, if you should become zealous of good?

¹⁸ And Melchizedek, king of Salem, brings forth bread and wine.

¹⁷ and the priests bearing the ark of the covenant of Yahweh stand on dry ground in the midst of the Jordan--established, and all Israel are passing over on dry ground till that all the nation has completed to pass over the Jordan.

¹⁰ And the priests bearing the ark are standing in the midst of the Jordan till the completion of the whole thing which Yahweh commanded Joshua to speak unto the people, according to all that Moses commanded Joshua, and the people haste and pass over.

¹⁶ `Command the priests bearing the ark of the testimony, and they come up out of the Jordan.. <sup>17</sup> And Joshua commands the priests, saying, `Come you up out of the Jordan.. ¹⁸ And it comes to pass, in the coming up of the priests bearing the ark of the covenant of Yahweh out of the midst of the Jordan--the soles of the feet of the priests have been drawn up into the dry ground--and the waters of the Jordan turn back to their place, and go as heretofore over all its banks.

¹¹ This is the rescript of what they replied to us saying:We are the servants of Him Who is Eloah of the heavens and the earth. And we are rebuilding the House that had been built a huge number of years before this, when a great king of Israel built it and completed it.

¹⁶ Wherefore, thus says my Lord Yahweh, "Behold Me laying in Zion a foundation stone, a choice stone, a corner of a precious well-founded foundation. The believer on it shall not be put to shame."

¹² For not with nervous haste shall you fare forth, and by fleeing, you shall not go, for Yahweh shall go before you, and your Gatherer is the Elohim of Israel. The Elohim of the entire earth shall He be called."

⁴⁷ Answering is the king to Daniel and saying, "In verity, your Eloah, He is the Eloah of elohim, Lord of kings, and only Revealer of hidden secrets, seeing that you can reveal this secret."

² The signs and the amazing deeds that the Supreme Eloah does with me, it is seemly before me to disclose to you:"

¹⁷ She, following after Paul and us, cried, saying, "These men are slaves of God most high, who are announcing to you a way of salvation!"

³⁷ Yet Paul averred to them, "Lashing us in public, uncondemned, men belonging to the Romans, they cast us into jail, and now they are ejecting us surreptitiously! No! But let them come themselves and lead us out!"

²³ For there stood beside me this night a messenger of God, Whose I am, to Whom I am offering divine service also,

¹⁰ For, at present, am I persuading men or God? Or am I seeking to please men? If I still pleased men, I were not a slave of Christ."

⁵ And a voice came out from the throne, saying, "Praise our God, all His slaves, and those who are fearing Him, the small and the great."

⁴⁶ This day does Yahweh shut you up into my hand--and I have smitten you, and turned aside your head from off you, and given the carcase of the camp of the Philistines this day to the fowl of the heavens, and to the beast of the earth, and all the earth do know that Elohim is for Israel. ⁴⁷ and all this assembly do know that not by sword and by spear does Yahweh save, that the battle [is] Yahweh's, and He has given you into our hand..

¹⁹ And now, O Yahweh our Elohim, save us, we pray You, out of his hand, and know do all kingdoms of the earth that You [are] Yahweh Elohim--Yourself alone..

¹⁸ So that men may realize that You, You, Whose Name is Yahweh, Yours alone, Are the Supreme over all the earth. {Permanent, On the Wine Trough{ "

⁷ Grant to Yahweh, O families of the peoples, Grant to Yahweh glory and strength." ⁸ Grant to Yahweh the glory of His Name; Bear an approach present, and come before Him." ⁹ Worship Yahweh in His holy effulgence! Travail because of His presence, all the earth."

¹¹ Yahweh, Your exalted hand they will fail to perceive. Yet they shall perceive and be shamed by the zeal of the disciplined people. Indeed, the fire of Your foes will devour them."

³⁰ Now of your head even the hairs are all numbered.

¹⁷ And you shall be hated by all because of My name. ¹⁸ And a hair of your head should by no means be perishing.

⁶ Now when this sound occurs, the multitude came together and was confused, for each one hears them speaking in his own vernacular." ⁷ Now they are all amazed, and marveled, saying, "Lo! are not all these who are speaking, Galileans? ⁸ And how are we hearing, each in our own vernacular in which we were born? ⁹ Parthians and Medes and Elamites and those dwelling in Mesopotamia, Judea, as well as Cappadocia, Pontus, and the province of Asia, ¹⁰ Phrygia, Pamphylia, Egypt, and the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and the repatriated Romans, both Jews and proselytes, ¹¹ Cretans and Arabs - we are hearing them speaking in these languages of ours of the great things of God!" ¹² Now, amazed are they all, and they were bewildered, saying one to another, "What is this wanting to be?

²⁶ For the king is adept concerning these things, to whom I am speaking boldly also, for, that any of these things is eluding him, I am not persuaded, for this is not a thing that has been committed in a corner."

³⁴ Wherefore I am entreating you to partake of nourishment, for this belongs to this salvation of yours, for not a hair from the head of one of you shall perish."

³⁴ quench the power of fire, fled from the edge of the sword, were invigorated from infirmity, became strong in battle, rout the camps of aliens,

²⁶ And saying is he, "Blessed be Yahweh, the Elohim of Shem, and Canaan shall become his servant.

¹⁵ And as dawn ascends, then rushing are the messengers Lot, saying, "Rise! Take your wife and your two daughters, who are found, and come out, lest you be swept up in the depravity of the city. ¹⁶ Yet dallying is he, and fast hold are the mortals taking of his hand and the hand of his wife and the hands of his two daughters, at Yahweh's sparing him. And forth are they bringing him, and leaving him outside the city.

²⁰ and they are helped against them, and the Hagarites are given into their hand, and all who [are] with them, for they cried to Elohim in battle, and He was entreated of them, because they trusted in Him.

²⁰ And they rise early in the morning, and go out to the wilderness of Tekoa, and in their going out Jehoshaphat has stood and said, `Hear me, O Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem, remain stedfast in Yahweh your Elohim, and be stedfast; remain stedfast in His prophets, and prosper..

²¹ and Yahweh sends a messenger, and cuts off every mighty one of valor--both leader and head--in the camp of the king of Asshur, and he turns back with shame of face to his land, and enters the house of his elohim, and those coming out of his bowels have caused him to fall there by the sword.

³ Anyone among you of all His people, may his Elohim be with him. Let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and let him rebuild the House of Yahweh Elohim of Israel. He is the One, Elohim, Who is in Jerusalem.

¹¹ So a decree is being promulgated from me that, as for any man who violates this rescript, a beam shall be torn out of his house; and lifted up, he shall be impaled on it. And his house shall be turned into ruins on account of this.

²³ Let all that is by the command of the Eloah of the heavens be done diligently for the House of the Eloah of the heavens, lest there be wrath against the realm of the king and his sons. ²⁴ And let it be known to you treasurers:As for any of the priests and the Levites, the musicians, the gatekeepers, the Nethinim and others serving at this House of Eloah, you have no authority to impose tribute, tax or toll on them. ²⁵ And you, Ezra, by the wisdom of your Eloah that is in your hand, assign judges and adjudicators who shall be adjudicating all the people in the province Beyond-the-Stream, all who are knowing the edicts of your Eloah; and you all shall teach anyone who does not know them. ²⁶ As for everyone who is not obeying the edict of your Eloah and the edict of the king, adjudication shall be promptly done to him, whether by death or by banishment, whether by a fine from his resources or by imprisonment. ²⁷ Blessed be Yahweh Elohim of our fathers, Who has put such as this into the heart of the king to beautify the House of Yahweh in Jerusalem. ²⁸ And He has stretched out kindness toward me from before the king and his counselors and all the masterful chiefs of the king. So I encouraged myself according to the hand of Yahweh my Elohim on me, and I convened the heads out of Israel to go up with me.

⁴ In You our fathers trusted; They trusted, and You delivered them." ⁵ To You they cried out, and they escaped; In You they trusted, and they were not put to shame."

¹⁸ Behold, the eye of Yahweh is toward those fearing Him, Toward those waiting for His benignity,

²¹ For in Him our heart is rejoicing; For in His holy Name we trust.

⁷ The messenger of Yahweh is encamping around those fearing Him, And He shall liberate them." ⁸ Taste and see that Yahweh is good; Happy is the master who takes refuge in Him.

²² Yahweh is ransoming the soul of His servants, And all those taking refuge in Him shall not be found guilty."

⁸ Trust in Him at all time, O people; Pour out your heart before Him; Elohim is our Refuge. {Interlude{ "

¹¹ For Sun and Shield is Yahweh Elohim; Grace and glory does Yahweh bestow; He does not withhold good from those walking with integrity. ¹² O Yahweh of hosts, Happy is the human trusting in You. {Permanent{ "

²⁰ Bless Yahweh, all His messengers, Masters of valor, doing His word, So as to hearken to the voice of His word!"

⁵ Happy is he who has the El of Jacob as his Help; His hopefulness is set on Yahweh his Elohim, ⁶ Maker of the heavens and earth, The sea and all that is in them, The Guardian of truth for the eons;"

¹¹ Yahweh is placing approval in those fearing Him, In those waiting for His benignity."

³⁶ And faring forth is a messenger of Yahweh and smiting in the Assyrian camp a hundred and eighty five thousand. And the king is rising early in the morning--and behold! All of them are corpses--dead!

⁷ Blessed [is] the man who trusts in Yahweh, And whose confidence has been Yahweh." ⁸ And has been as a tree planted by waters, And by a rivulet he sends forth his roots, And he does not see when heat comes, And his leaf has been green, And in a year of dearth he is not sorrowful, Nor does he cease from making fruit."

¹⁵ Actually, should you now be ready, then, as soon as you are hearing the sound of the horn, the pipe, the lyre, the sambuke, the psalteries--all sorts of music in concert--you shall fall down and worship the golden image that I made. And should you not be ready, you know that if you are not worshiping, in the same hour shall you be heaved into the midst of the glowing, flaming furnace. And who is the eloah that will deliver you from my hands? ¹⁶ Answering are Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego and saying to king Nebuchadnezzar, "Not necessary is it for us to reply to you concerning this rescript." ¹⁷ Should it actually happen, our Eloah in the heavens, Whom we are serving, can deliver us from the glowing, flaming furnace; and from your hand, O king, will He deliver us." ¹⁸ Should He not, be it known to you, O king, that actually your elohim we will not serve, and the golden image that you set up we will not worship."

²⁵ He is answering and saying, "Aha! I am perceiving four masters, untied, walking about in the midst of the flame, and actually, not one among them is harmed! And the appearance of the fourth is like a son of Elohim."

³⁴ And at the end of the days, I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted my eyes to the heavens, and my knowledge is returning to me. Then I blessed the Supreme, and I lauded and honored Him Who is living for the eon, seeing that His jurisdiction is an eonian jurisdiction, and His kingdom is with generation after generation."

²² My Eloah sent His messenger, and he closed the mouths of the lions that they could not harm me; forasmuch as before Him it is found that I am purged; and indeed, also before you, O king, no harm have I done." ²³ Then the king feels enormously relieved, and as to Daniel he says to hoist him from the vault. When Daniel is hoisted from the vault, no harm at all is found in him, seeing that he believes in his Eloah."

²⁶ From before me is promulgated this decree:In every authority of my kingdom be they stirred and terrified before Daniel's Eloah:He is the living Eloah and is set up for the eons. His kingdom shall not come to harm and His jurisdiction is till the terminus.

¹⁰ Then Jesus is saying to him, "Go away, Satan, for it is written,
The Lord your God shall you be worshiping,
And to Him only shall you be offering divine service."

¹⁹ Yet a messenger of the Lord, during the night, opens the doors of the jail. Besides, leading them out, he said,

⁷ And lo! a messenger of the Lord stood by, and a light shines in the room. Now smiting Peter on the side, he rouses him, saying, "Rise quickly!And off fall his chains from his hands." ⁸ Now the messenger said to him, "Gird yourself and bind on your soles.Now he does thus. And he is saying to him, "Throw your cloak about you and follow me." ⁹ And, coming out, he followed him. And he had not perceived that what is occurring by means of the messenger is true, yet he seemed to be observing a vision." ¹⁰ Now, passing through the first jail and the second, they come to the iron gate that brings them into the city, which spontaneously was opened to them. And, coming out, they came forward one street, and immediately the messenger withdrew from him." ¹¹ And Peter, coming to himself, said, "Now I truly am aware that the Lord delegates His messenger, and extricates me out of the hand of Herod and all the hope of the Jewish people."

¹ I am entreating you, then, brethren, by the pities of God, to present your bodies a sacrifice, living, holy, well pleasing to God, your logical divine service,

⁷ For not one of us is living to himself, and not one is dying to himself." ⁸ For both, if we should be living, to the Lord are we living, and if we should be dying, to the Lord are we dying. Then, both if we should be living and if we should be dying, we are the Lord's."

¹² that we should be for the laud of His glory, who are pre-expectant in the Christ." ¹³ In Whom you also - on hearing the word of truth, the evangel of your salvation - in Whom on believing also, you are sealed with the holy spirit of promise"

²⁰ in accord with my premonition and expectation, that in nothing shall I be put to shame, but with all boldness, as always, now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether through life or through death."

¹⁴ Are they not all ministering spirits commissioned for service because of those who are about to be enjoying the allotment of salvation?

³⁷ They are stoned, they are sawn, they are tried, they died, murdered by the sword; they wandered about in sheepskins, in goatskins, in want, afflicted, maltreated"

²¹ Who rouses Him from among the dead and is giving Him glory, so that your faith and expectation is to be in God."

³¹ For their rock is not like our Rock; even our enemies are umpires.

⁸ To Yahweh belongs the salvation; On Your people be Your blessing! {Interlude{ {Permanent, With Accompaniments{ "

²⁶ From before me is promulgated this decree:In every authority of my kingdom be they stirred and terrified before Daniel's Eloah:He is the living Eloah and is set up for the eons. His kingdom shall not come to harm and His jurisdiction is till the terminus. ²⁷ He is delivering and rescuing. He is doing signs and amazing things in the heavens and on the earth--He Who delivers Daniel from the paws of the lions."

³⁰ `Therefore--the affirmation of Yahweh, Elohim of Israel--I certainly said, Your house and the house of your father, do walk up and down before Me to the eon; and now--the affirmation of Yahweh--Far be it from Me! for he who is honoring Me, I honor, and those despising Me, are lightly esteemed.

³ So he comes to be like a tree transplanted by rillets of water, That yields its fruit in its season, And its leaf does not decay; Hence all that he does shall prosper.

¹⁴ Because he is attached to Me, I shall deliver him; I shall make him impregnable, for he knows My Name."

²⁶ If anyone should be serving Me, let him be following Me, and where I am, there My servant also shall be. And if anyone should be serving Me, the Father shall be honoring him."
