¹ There was a man in the country of Uz. Job was his name. And this man was flawless and upright, fearing Elohim and withdrawing from evil. ² Seven sons and three daughters were born to him, ³ and his acquisitions came to be a flock of seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred pair of oxen and five hundred jennies, besides very many servants. And this man came to be the greatest of all the sons of the East. ⁴ Now his sons would go and hold a feast, each in his house on his day, and they would send and call to their three sisters to eat and to drink with them. ⁵ And it came to be when the feast days were concluded, that Job would send and have them hallowed. He would rise early in the morning and offer up ascent offerings in number as them all. For Job said, Perhaps my sons have sinned and have scorned Elohim in their heart. Thus Job was doing for all these days. ⁶ There was a day when the sons of Elohim would come to station themselves before Yahweh, and Satan came also in their midst. ⁷ Yahweh said to Satan, From where are you coming? Then Satan answered Yahweh and said, From going to and fro in the earth and from walking about in it. ⁸ So Yahweh said to Satan, Have you set your heart on My servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a man flawless and upright, fearing Elohim and withdrawing from evil. ⁹ Then Satan answered Yahweh and said, Does Job fear Elohim gratuitously? ¹⁰ Have you yourself not hedged him about, and about his house and about all that is his all around. The work of his hands you have blessed, and his cattle breach forth throughout the countryside. ¹¹ Howbeit, now put forth your hand and touch all that is his. He shall assuredly scorn you to your face. ¹² Hence Yahweh said to Satan, Behold, all that he has is in your hand, but you must not put forth your hand upon himself. Then Satan went forth from Yahweh's presence. ¹³ Now the day came when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in the house of their brother, the firstborn. ¹⁴ And a messenger came to Job and said, The oxen were plowing, and the jennies were grazing at their sides, ¹⁵ when the Sabeans swooped down and took them. Then they smote the lads with the edge of the sword, yet I escaped, but I myself alone, to tell it to you. ¹⁶ This one was still speaking when another came and said, The fire of Elohim, it fell from the heavens, it consumed the flock and the lads, and it devoured them, yet I escaped, but I myself alone, to tell it to you. ¹⁷ This one was still speaking when another came and said, The Chaldeans, they formed three bands, and they emerged on the camels and took them. Then they smote the lads with the edge of the sword, yet I escaped, but I myself alone, to tell it to you. ¹⁸ This one was still speaking when another came and said, Your sons and your daughters were eating and drinking wine in the house of their brother, the firstborn, ¹⁹ when behold, a great wind came from across the wilderness, and it assaulted against the four corners of the house. It fell upon the lads, and they died, yet I escaped, but I myself alone, to tell it to you. ²⁰ Then Job arose, tore his robe and sheared his head. He fell to the earth and worshiped. ²¹ And he said, Naked I came forth from the belly of my mother, and naked I shall return there. Yahweh, He gives, and Yahweh, He takes away. Blessed be the name of Yahweh. ²² In all this, Job neither sinned nor ascribed anything improper to Elohim.

⁹ These are the genealogical annals of Noah: Noah is a just man. Flawless became he in his generations. With the Elohim walks Noah.

²³ And the sons of Aram: Uz and Hul and Gether and Mash.

¹ And coming is Abram to be ninety nine years of age. And appearing is Yahweh to Abram and is saying to him, "I am the El-Who-Suffices. Walk before Me and become flawless.

¹² And saying is he, "You must not stretch out your hand on the lad, and you must not do aught to him, for now I know that you fear the Elohim, for you have not kept back your son, your only one from Me.

²⁰ And coming is it, after these things, that it is being told to Abraham, saying, "Behold! Milcah, she, moreover, bears sons for Nahor, your brother, ²¹ Uz, his firstborn, and Buz, his brother, and Kemuel, the father of Aram,

²⁸ And these are the sons of Rishan: Uz and Aran.

²¹ Now you shall perceive among all the people men of ability, fearful of Elohim, men of truth, hating gain. You will place these over them as chiefs of thousands, chiefs of hundreds, chiefs of fifties and chiefs of tens.

³ `I pray You, O Yahweh, remember, I pray You, how I have walked habitually before You in truth, and with a perfect heart, and that which [is] good in Your eyes I have done;' and Hezekiah weeps--a great weeping.

¹⁷ Sons of Shem:Elam and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram, and Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech.

⁴² Sons of Ezer:Bilhan, and Zavan, Jakan. Sons of Dishan:Uz and Aran.

²⁰ And Hezekiah does thus in all Judah, and does that which is good, and that which is right, and that which is true, before Yahweh his Elohim;" ²¹ and in every work that he has begun for the service of the house of Elohim, and for the law, and for the command, to seek to his Elohim, with all his heart he has wrought and prospered.

⁸ So Yahweh said to Satan, Have you set your heart on My servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a man flawless and upright, fearing Elohim and withdrawing from evil.

³ So Yahweh said to Satan, Have you set your heart against my servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a man flawless and upright, fearing Elohim and withdrawing from evil. And he still is holding fast to his integrity, though you would incite Me against him to swallow him up gratuitously.

¹¹ My feet have held closely to His movements; I have kept to His way and have not turned aside. ¹² From the instruction of His lips I do not remove myself; I have secluded in my bosom the sayings of His mouth.

²⁸ And He said to mankind, Behold, the fear of Yahweh, it is wisdom, And to withdraw from evil is understanding.

¹ I contracted a covenant with my eyes So how should I wrongly consider a virgin? ² Yet what is the portion of Eloah from above, And the allotment of Him Who Suffices from the heights? ³ Should not calamity be for the iniquitous, And disaster for contrivers of lawlessness? ⁴ Does He not see my ways And number all my steps? ⁵ If I have walked with hypocrisy, And my foot has hurried after decei. ⁶ (Let Him weigh me in the scales of justice, And let Eloah know my integrity), ⁷ If my movements have turned aside from the way, And my heart has run after what my eyes see, And any blemish clings to my palms, ⁸ Then let me sow and another eat, And may my offspring be rooted out. ⁹ If my heart has been enticed by another's wife, Or I have waited in ambush at my associate's portal, ¹⁰ May my wife grind grain for another, And may others crouch down upon her. ¹¹ For that would be a crime, And that would be depravity calling for judiciary mediators. ¹² For that would be a fire that devours unto Abaddon And roots out all my yield. ¹³ If I have rejected the plea of my servant and my maidservant When they have brought a contention against me, ¹⁴ Then what shall I do when El arises, And when He visits, what shall I reply to Him? ¹⁵ Did not He Who made me in the belly make him also, So that the same One prepared us both in the womb? ¹⁶ If I have withheld the desire of the poor And have caused the eyes of the widow to fail, ¹⁷ And I have eaten my morsel by myself alone, So that the orphan could not eat of i. ¹⁸ (Indeed from my youth he grew great as with a father, And from the belly of my mother I have guided her), ¹⁹ If I have seen anyone perishing from lack of clothing, And there was no covering for the needy, ²⁰ If his loins did not bless me, Since he was warmed with the fleece of my lambs, ²¹ If I have waved my hand against the orphan Because I saw my backing was in the gate, ²² Then may my shoulder fall from the shoulder blade, And may my arm be broken from the clavicle. ²³ (Indeed I have an awe of calamity from El, And I am not able to stand before His dignity.. ²⁴ If I have made gold my confidence, And I have said to pure gold:My trust, ²⁵ If I have rejoiced that my estate is vast And that my hand has found abundance, ²⁶ If I have seen the sunlight when it irradiates, And the moon advancing like a precious gem, ²⁷ So that my heart was enticed in secret, And my hand kissed my mouth, ²⁸ This also would be depravity calling for judiciary mediation, For I then would have disavowed El above. ²⁹ If I have rejoiced in the misfortune of the one hating me, And I have roused myself in joy because evil had overtaken hi. ³⁰ (Yet I have not allowed my mouth to sin By asking with an imprecation against his soul), ³¹ If the men of my tent have never said:Who can be found who has not been satisfied with his flesh? ³² (The sojourner has not lodged in the street; I have opened my doors to the traveler), ³³ If I have covered up my transgression like Adam, By burying my depravity in my lap, ³⁴ Because I was terrified of the vast throng, And the contempt of families caused me dismay, And I kept silent and would not go forth from the portal-. ³⁵ (O that I had someone hearing me! Behold, here is my mark; may He Who Suffices answer me! Let a man write his indictment against me on a scroll;" ³⁶ Assuredly, I would bear it on my back; I would wind it as crowns about me;" ³⁷ I would tell him the tale of my steps; Like a nobleman I would approach him.) ³⁸ If my ground has cried out against me, And its furrows have wept together with it, ³⁹ If I have eaten of its vigor without paying silver, So that I have caused the soul of its possessor to expire, ⁴⁰ Then may the thistle come forth instead of wheat, And nightshade instead of barley! The words of Job are finished.

¹³ The fear of Yahweh means to hate evil; Pride and pomp and the way of evil And a mouth of duplicity I hate.

⁶ By benignity and faithfulness depravity shall be sheltered, And by the fear of Yahweh a man will withdraw from evil."

²⁰ And all the mixed people, And all the kings of the land of Uz, And all the kings of the land of the Philistines, And Ashkelon, and Gazzah, and Ekron, And the remnant of Ashdod,

²¹ Be elated and rejoice, daughter of Edom, you who are dwelling in the country of Uz; To you also shall pass the cup of Yahweh; you shall become drunk and denude yourself."

¹⁴ and these three men have been in its midst, Noah, Daniel, and Job--they by their righteousness deliver their own soul--an affirmation of the Lord Yahweh."

²⁰ and Noah, Daniel, and Job, in its midst:I live--an affirmation of the Lord Yahweh--neither son nor daughter do they deliver; they, by their righteousness, deliver their own soul."

⁶ Now they were both just in front of God, going in all the precepts and just statutes of the Lord, blameless."

¹¹ Lo! we are counting those happy who endure. You hear of the endurance of Job, and you perceived the consummation of the Lord, for very compassionate and pitiful is the Lord."

¹¹ Now let him avoid evil and do good. Let him seek peace and pursue it,

¹¹ Haman related to them the glory of his riches, his many sons and all about how the king had magnified him and how he had advanced him above all the king's chief officials and courtiers.

¹³ Keep silent me, and let me speak, And whatever comes shall pass upon me.

¹³ Also he came to have seven sons and three daughters.

³⁸ Then He shall bless them, and they shall increase exceedingly, And He shall not let their domestic beasts decrease."

³ Behold, sons are an allotment from Yahweh; The fruit of the belly is a reward." ⁴ Like arrows in the hand of a master, So are the sons of youthful parents." ⁵ Happy is the master who fills his quiver with them; They shall not be ashamed When they are speaking with enemies in the gateway.

³ Your wife will be like a fruitful vine In the recesses of your house, Your sons like transplanted olive shoots Round about your table."

⁵ And taking is Abram Sarai, his wife, and Lot, his brother's son, and all their goods which they got, and every soul which they make their own in Charan, and forth are they faring to go toward the land of Canaan. And coming are they to the land of Canaan.

¹⁶ And to Abram is he good for her sake. And coming is he to have a flock and a very heavy herd of cattle and asses and menservants and maids and jenny-asses and camels.

⁶ And not bearing is the land their dwelling together, for coming are their goods to be many and they cannot dwell together.

⁶ And to the sons of the concubines which are Abraham's, Abraham gives gifts. And sending them is he away from Isaac, his son, while he is still living, eastward to the land of the East.

¹ And lifting is Jacob his feet and is going toward the land of the sons of the east, to Laban, the son of Bethuel, the Syrian, brother of Rebecca, the mother of Jacob and Esau.

²³ Their cattle and their acquisitions and all their beasts, will they not be ours? Yea, in this are we consenting to them, and they will dwell with us.

⁷ He took up his discourse and said:From Syria Balak gave me guidance, the king of Moab from the mountains of the east:Come now and curse Jacob for me! And come now and menace Israel.

³² The booty, the rest of the plunder which the people of the militia host had plundered came to be:a flock of six hundred seventy-five thousand, ³³ a herd of seventy-two thousand, ³⁴ sixty-one thousand donkeys.

³ And it has been, if Israel has sowed, that Midian has come up, and Amalek, and the sons of the east, yea, they have come up against him,

⁵ for they and their cattle come up, with their tents; they come in as the fulness of the locust for multitude, and of them and of their cattle there is no number, and they come into the land to destroy it.

¹² and Midian and Amalek, and all the sons of the east are lying in the valley, as the locust for multitude, and of their camels there is no number, as sand which [is] on the sea-shore for multitude.

¹⁰ And Zebah and Zalmunna [are] in Karkor, and their camps with them, about fifteen thousand, all who are left of all the camp of the sons of the east; and those falling [are] a hundred and twenty thousand men, drawing sword.

² And [there is] a man in Maon, and his work [is] in Carmel; and the man [is] very great, and he has three thousand sheep, and a thousand goats; and he is shearing his flock in Carmel.

³⁰ and the wisdom of Solomon is greater than the wisdom of any of the sons of the east, and than all the wisdom of Egypt;"

⁴ And Mesha king of Moab was a sheep-master, and he rendered to the king of Israel a hundred thousand lambs, and a hundred thousand rams, [with] wool,

¹⁰ and he builds towers in the wilderness, and digs many wells, for he had much cattle, both in the low country and in the plain, husbandmen and vine-dressers in the mountains, and in Carmel; for he was a lover of the ground.

²⁹ and cities he has made for himself, and possessions of flocks and herds in abundance, for Elohim has given to him very much substance.

⁹ The chiefs would restrain their declarations And place the palm over their mouth; ¹⁰ The voices of the noblemen were hidden back, And their tongue would cling to their palate.

²⁵ I would choose the way for them and would sit as their head, And I would tabernacle like a king among his regiment, Just as one who comforts mourners.

¹² Thus Yahweh Himself blessed the latter years of Job more than his beginning. He came to have a flock of fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand pair of oxen and a thousand jennies.

²² The blessing of Yahweh, it enriches, And He shall not add grief to it."

¹ {A Song of Ascents, Davidic{ Behold, how good and how pleasant For brothers to dwell as one."

¹ Let brotherly fondness be remaining.

⁵ And seeing is Yahweh Elohim that much is the evil of humanity in the earth, and every form of the devices of its heart is but evil all its days.

²⁰ And building is Noah an altar to Yahweh Elohim, and taking is he of every clean beast, and of every clean flyer, and is offering up ascent offerings on the altar.

³ And early in the morning is Abraham rising, and is saddling his ass, and is taking two of his lads with him, and Isaac, his son, and is rending the wood for the ascent offering. And rising is he and going, and came to the place of which the Elohim apprized him on the third day.

² And saying is Jacob to his household and to all who are with him, "Take away the foreign elohim which are in your midst, and clean yourselves, and change your garments. ³ And rise will we and go up to Beth-El, and make will I there an altar to the El Who answered me in the day of my distress, and came to stand by me and saved me in the way which I went.

¹² Then Jethro, the father-in-law of Moses, took an ascent offering along with sacrifices for Elohim, and Aaron and all the elders of Israel came to eat bread with the father-in-law of Moses, before the One, Elohim.

¹⁰ Then Yahweh said to Moses: Go to the people, and you will hallow them today and tomorrow; let them rinse their garment.

⁵ Then he sent youths of the sons of Israel, and the brought up ascent offerings and sacrificed young bulls as sacrifices of peace offerings to Yahweh.

³ If his ascent approach is from the herd, a flawless male is it which he shall bring near. To the opening of the tent of appointment shall he bring it near for acceptance on his behalf before Yahweh. ⁴ He will support his hand on the head of the ascent offering so that it will be accepted for him to make a propitiatory shelter over him. ⁵ Then he will slay the bull calf of the herd before Yahweh; and the sons of Aaron, the priests, will bring near the blood and sprinkle the blood against the altar round about which is at the opening of the tent of appointment. ⁶ Then he will flay the ascent offering and piece it into its pieces,

¹⁰ The son of an Israelitish woman (he was the son of an Egyptian man) had come forth in the midst of the sons of Israel. Now the son of the Israelitess and an Israelite man strove together in the camp, ¹¹ and the son of the Israelite woman blasphemed the name of Yahweh, and he maledicted it. So they brought him to Moses. (Now the name of his mother was Shelomith daughter of Dibri of the stock of Dan.. ¹² They left him under guard until Moses expounded the case for them at the bidding of Yahweh. ¹³ Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying. ¹⁴ Bring forth the maledictor outside the camp, and all the hearers will support their hands on his head, and the whole congregation will pelt him with stones. ¹⁵ And to the sons of Israel shall you speak, saying:In case any man maledicts his Elohim, then he will bear his own sin. ¹⁶ The blasphemer of the name of Yahweh shall be put to death, yea death. The whole congregation shall pelt, yea pelt him with stones. The sojourner as well as the native; when he blasphemes the Name, he shall be put to death.

⁵ and he said, `Peace; to sacrifice to Yahweh I have come, sanctify yourselves, and you have come in with me to the sacrifice;' and he sanctifies Jesse and his sons, and calls them to the sacrifice.

³¹ and Elijah takes twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, unto whom the word of Yahweh was, saying, `Israel is your name;.

¹⁰ and cause two men--sons of worthlessness--to sit over-against him, and they testify of him, saying, You have blessed Elohim and Melech; and they have brought him out, and stoned him, and he dies..

¹³ and two men--sons of worthlessness--come in, and sit over-against him, and the men of worthlessness testify of him, even Naboth, before the people, saying, `Naboth blessed Elohim and Melech;' and they take him out to the outside of the city, and stone him with stones, and he dies;"

³⁰ and the priests and the Levites are cleansed, and they cleanse the people, and the gates, and the wall.

¹¹ Howbeit, now put forth your hand and touch all that is his. He shall assuredly scorn you to your face.

⁹ Then his wife said to him, Are you still holding fast to your integrity? Scorn Elohim and die.

⁴ If your sons sin against Him, Then He shall cast them out into the grip of their transgression.

¹⁰ Would he find pleasure in Him Who Suffices? Would he call to Eloah on every occasion?

²⁵ At his lifting up, the subjectors shrink back; At his breaking forth, they recede.

⁸ Now take for yourselves seven bullocks and seven rams. Go to my servant Job, and offer up an ascent offering on behalf of yourselves. And Job, my servant, he shall pray for you. For then I shall lift up his face by not inflicting on you any disgrace. For you did not speak concerning Me what is rightly so as My servant Job has done.

³ In the morning You shall hear my voice; In the morning I shall arrange for You and watch.

¹⁰ All that your hand finds to do, do with your vigor, For there is no doing or devising or knowledge or wisdom In the unseen where you are going."

¹⁴ Wash from evil your heart, O Jerusalem, That you may be saved, Till when do you lodge in your heart Thoughts of your strength?

⁹ Crooked [is] the heart above all things, And it [is] incurable--who does know it? ¹⁰ I Yahweh do search the heart, try the reins, Even to give to each according to his way, According to the fruit of his doings."

²¹ For from inside, out of the heart of men, are going out evil reasonings, prostitutions, thefts, murders, ²² adulteries, greed, wickedness, guile, wantonness, a wicked eye, calumny, pride, imprudence." ²³ All these wicked inside things are going out; and those are contaminating the man."

⁷⁵ In benignity and righteousness in His sight all our days.

⁷ Yet should not God by all means be doing the avenging of His chosen ones, who are imploring Him day and night? And He is patient with them."

⁵⁵ Now near was the Passover of the Jews, and many went up into Jerusalem out of the country, before the Passover, that they should be purifying themselves."

²² Repent, then, from this evil of yours, and beseech the Lord, if, consequently, the notion of your heart will be forgiven you."

²⁶ Then Paul, taking the men along on the next day, being purified together with them, had been in the sanctuary, publishing the full completion of the days of purification, till the approach present for each one of them was offered."

⁵ So that, be not judging anything before the season, till the Lord should be coming, Who will also illuminate the hidden things of darkness and manifest the counsels of the hearts. And then applause will be coming to each one from God."

² for I am jealous over you with a jealousy of God. For I betroth you to one Man, to present a chaste virgin to Christ. "

¹⁸ During every prayer and petition be praying on every occasion (in spirit being vigilant also for it with all perseverance and petition concerning all the saints,

² And seeing are sons of the elohim the daughters of the human, that they are good, and taking are they for themselves wives of all whom they choose.

⁴ Now the distinguished come to be in the earth in those days, and, moreover, afterward, coming are those who are sons of the elohim to the daughters of the human, and they bear for them. They are the masters, who are from the eon, mortals with the name.

¹⁹ And he said, `Therefore, hear a word of Yahweh; I have seen Yahweh sitting on His throne, and all the host of the heavens standing by Him, on His right and on His left;"

¹ And there stands up an adversary against Israel, and persuades David to number Israel,

¹ The day came around again when the sons of Elohim came to station themselves before Yahweh, and Satan came also in their midst to station himself before Yahweh.

⁷ When the stars of the morning jubilated together, And all the sons of Elohim shouted with joy?

²⁰ Bless Yahweh, all His messengers, Masters of valor, doing His word, So as to hearken to the voice of His word!"

²⁵ He is answering and saying, "Aha! I am perceiving four masters, untied, walking about in the midst of the flame, and actually, not one among them is harmed! And the appearance of the fourth is like a son of Elohim."

¹ Then He is showing me Joshua, the great priest, standing before the messenger of Yahweh, and Satan, standing at his right, for his adversary."

¹⁰ See that you should not be despising one of these little ones, for I am saying to you that their messengers in the heavens are continually observing the face of My Father Who is in the heavens."

³⁸ of Enosh, of Seth, of Adam, of God."

⁷⁰ Jesus answered and said to them, "Do not I choose you, the twelve, and one of you is an adversary?

⁹ And the great dragon was cast out, the ancient serpent called Adversary and Satan, who is deceiving the whole inhabited earth. It was cast into the earth, and its messengers were cast with it." ¹⁰ And I hear a loud voice in heaven saying, "Just now came the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of His Christ, for the accuser of our brethren was cast out, who was accusing them before our God day and night."

²⁵ And he has come in, and does stand by his lord, and Elisha said unto him, `Whence--Gehazi?' and he said, `Your servant went not hither or thither..

² Yahweh said to Satan, From where are you coming? Then Satan answered Yahweh and said, From going to and fro in the earth and from walking about in it.

¹⁰ And the man standing between the mountains is answering and saying to me, These are those whom Yahweh sends to walk in the earth." ¹¹ And they are answering the messenger of Yahweh standing between the mountains, and are saying, We walk in all the earth, and behold! all the earth is sitting and is quiet."

⁷ And the resolute fare forth and are seeking to go to walk in the land. And he is saying, Go, walk in the land. And they are walking in the land."

⁴³ Now, whenever the unclean spirit may be coming out from a man, it is passing through waterless places seeking rest, and is not finding it."

⁸ Be sober! Watch! For your plaintiff, the Adversary, is walking about as a roaring lion, seeking someone to swallow up;"

⁹ And the great dragon was cast out, the ancient serpent called Adversary and Satan, who is deceiving the whole inhabited earth. It was cast into the earth, and its messengers were cast with it."

¹² Therefore, make merry, ye heavens, and those tabernacling in them! Woe to the land and the sea, for the Adversary descended to you having great fury, being aware that brief is the season that he has." ¹³ And when the dragon perceived that it was cast into the earth, it persecutes the woman who brought forth the male." ¹⁴ And given to the woman were the two wings of a large vulture, that she may be flying into the wilderness into her place, there where she is nourished a season, and seasons, and half a season, from the face of the serpent." ¹⁵ And the serpent casts water as a river out of its mouth after the woman, that she should be carried away by its current." ¹⁶ And the earth helps the woman, and the earth opens its mouth and swallowed the river which the dragon casts out of its mouth." ¹⁷ And the dragon is angry with the woman, and came away to do battle with the rest of her seed, who are keeping the precepts of God and who have the testimony of Jesus."

⁸ And he will be coming out to deceive all the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to be mobilizing them for battle, their number being as the sand of the sea."

³ Now the man Moses was exceedingly humble, more than any human who was on the surface of the ground.

⁷ Not so with My servant Moses. In My whole house he is faithful. ⁸ Mouth to mouth am I speaking with him, and manifestly, not in enigmas, so that he looks at a representation of Yahweh. So for what reason did you not fear to speak against My servant, against Moses?

⁷ `Only, be strong and very courageous, to observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; you do not turn aside from it right or left, so that you do act wisely in every [place] whither you go;"

³⁰ and the wisdom of Solomon is greater than the wisdom of any of the sons of the east, and than all the wisdom of Egypt;" ³¹ and he is wiser than all men, than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, sons of Mahol, and his name is in all the nations round about.

²⁵ And like him there has not been before him a king who turned back unto Yahweh with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the law of Moses, and after him there has none risen like him.

¹⁵ the former governors who [are] before me have made themselves heavy on the people, and take of them in bread and wine, besides in silver forty shekels; also, their servants have ruled over the people--and I have not done so, because of the fear of Elohim.

¹ There was a man in the country of Uz. Job was his name. And this man was flawless and upright, fearing Elohim and withdrawing from evil.

²⁰ Behold, El Himself does not reject the flawless man, And He does not hold fast on the hand o.

²² It is all one. Therefore I say, Both the flawless and wicked one Will He bring to their end. ²³ If a scourge brings death suddenly, He derides the trial of the innocent.

⁴ As the sport of his associates am I becoming, Who was calling to Eloah, and He answered him, Made sport of, though righteous and flawless.

⁸ Upright men are appalled at this, And the innocent man rouses himself against the polluted, ⁹ But the righteous one holds to his way, And the one of clean hands continues in resoluteness.

¹⁴ If He places it in His heart concerning him, He can gather back His spirit and His breath to Himself;"

⁷ It came to pass after Yahweh had spoken these words to Job that Yahweh said to Eliphaz the Temanite:My anger is hot against you and your two associates because you did not speak concerning Me what is rightly so as My servant Job has done. ⁸ Now take for yourselves seven bullocks and seven rams. Go to my servant Job, and offer up an ascent offering on behalf of yourselves. And Job, my servant, he shall pray for you. For then I shall lift up his face by not inflicting on you any disgrace. For you did not speak concerning Me what is rightly so as My servant Job has done.

²³ I have become flawless before Him; Let me keep myself from my depravity.

¹⁴ Withdraw from evil, and do good; Seek peace, and pursue it."

¹ {Davidic{ The wicked one has a watchword of transgression within his heart; There is no awe of Elohim in front of his eyes;

²⁷ Withdraw from evil, and do good; Then tabernacle for the eon."

¹¹ For Sun and Shield is Yahweh Elohim; Grace and glory does Yahweh bestow; He does not withhold good from those walking with integrity.

²⁰ I have found David My servant; With My holy oil have I anointed him,

¹⁶ Wash yourselves! Purge yourselves! Take away the evil of your actions from in front of My eyes!

¹ Behold My Servant! I am upholding Him. My Chosen! Accepted by My soul! I bestow My spirit upon Him, and He shall bring forth judgment to the nations."

⁴ and the man speaks unto me:`Son of man, see with your eyes, And with your ears hear, And set your heart to all that I am showing you, For, in order to show [it] you, You have been brought in hither, Declare all that you are seeing to the house of Israel.'"

³⁹ Now one of the hanged malefactors blasphemed Him, saying, "Are you not the Christ? Save yourself and us!" ⁴⁰ Yet answering, the other one, rebuking him, averred, "Yet you are not fearing God, seeing that you are in the same judgment!"

⁴⁷ Jesus perceived Nathanael coming toward Him, and is saying concerning him, "Lo! truly an Israelite in whom there is no guile!"

²¹ And he said, Naked I came forth from the belly of my mother, and naked I shall return there. Yahweh, He gives, and Yahweh, He takes away. Blessed be the name of Yahweh.

¹⁰ Yet he said to her, Like the speech of some decadent woman are you speaking. Indeed should we receive good from the One, Elohim, and should we not receive evil? In all this, Job did not sin with his lips.

¹⁴ Yet they say to El, Go away from us, For we do not desire a knowledge of Your ways. ¹⁵ What is He Who Suffices that we should serve Him? And what benefit would we gain that we should make intercession to Him?

¹⁰ Who, moreover, is among you that shall lock the doors so you shall not light up My altar gratuitously? I have no delight in you, says Yahweh of hosts, and an approach present I will not accept from your hand."

²⁶ For the Son of Mankind is about to be coming in the glory of His Father, with His messengers, and then He will be paying each in accord with his practice."

⁸ for bodily exercise is beneficial for a few things, yet devoutness is beneficial for all, having promise for the life which now is, and that which is impending."

⁶ Now devoutness with contentment is great capital;

¹ After these matters came the word of Yahweh to Abram in a vision, saying, "You must not fear, Abram! I am your Shield, your exceedingly increased Hire.

¹² And sowing is Isaac in that land and is finding in that year a hundredfold of barley. And blessing him is Yahweh.

³⁰ For little was that which came to be yours before, and breaching is it into much. And blessing you is Yahweh, at my footsteps. Yet now, when shall I do something, moreover I, for my own household?

⁴³ And breaching is the man exceeding exceedingly, and coming is he to have many small cattle and herds and maids and servants and camels and asses.

⁵ And coming is it, since he makes him supervisor in his house and over all, forsooth, that is his, that Yahweh is blessing the Egyptian's household due to Joseph, and coming is Yahweh's blessing to be over all, forsooth, which is his, in the house and in the field.

²⁵ from the El of your father, and your Helper, and He Who-Suffices, and your Blesser, blessings of the heavens from above, blessings of the submerged chaos reclining beneath, blessings of the breasts and the womb,

¹³ He will love you and bless you; He will multiply you and bless the fruit of your belly and the fruit of your ground, your grain, your grape juice, and your clarified oil, the calving of your domestic animals and the lambing of your flock, on the ground about which Yahweh had sworn to your fathers to give to you.

² And all these blessings will come on you and overtake you in case you should hearken to the voice of Yahweh your Elohim. ³ Blessed be you in the city, and blessed be you in the field. ⁴ Blessed be the fruit of your belly, the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your beast, the calving of your domestic animals and the lambing of your flock. ⁵ Blessed be your basket and your kneading-trough. ⁶ Blessed be you in your coming in, and blessed be you in your going forth.

¹¹ Bless, Yahweh, his estate, and the contriving of his hands may You approve. Transfix the waists of those rising up against him, and those hating him, that they may rise up no more.

²⁷ the habitation of Elohim aforetime. And beneath are the arms eonian. He shall drive out the enemy from your presence and shall say:Exterminate him!

¹⁶ a wall they have been unto us both by night and by day, all the days of our being with them, feeding the flock.

³ and his acquisitions came to be a flock of seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred pair of oxen and five hundred jennies, besides very many servants. And this man came to be the greatest of all the sons of the East.

⁷ The messenger of Yahweh is encamping around those fearing Him, And He shall liberate them."

²¹ You shall increase Your greatness, And You shall surround and comfort me."

¹² Why have You breached its stone dikes, So that all who are passing by the way nip off its fruit?

¹⁷ Let the pleasantness of Yahweh our Elohim be over us; Do establish the work of our hands for us; Yea, the work of our hands, do establish it."

⁵ And now, pray, I shall make known to you what I will do to My vineyard:I will take away its hedge, and it comes to be consumed. I breach its stone dike, and it comes to be tramped."

⁵ And I will become for her, (averring is Yahweh), a wall of fire round about. And for glory will I become in her midst."

⁸ For thus says Yahweh of hosts:After the glory He sends me to the nations, your looters; for he who is touching you is touching the apple of My eye."

⁵ who are garrisoned by the power of God, through faith, for salvation ready to be revealed in the last era,

¹¹ And instructing is Abimelech all his people saying, "Everyone touching this man or his wife shall surely be put to death.

⁵ And it came to be when the feast days were concluded, that Job would send and have them hallowed. He would rise early in the morning and offer up ascent offerings in number as them all. For Job said, Perhaps my sons have sinned and have scorned Elohim in their heart. Thus Job was doing for all these days.

¹² Hence Yahweh said to Satan, Behold, all that he has is in your hand, but you must not put forth your hand upon himself. Then Satan went forth from Yahweh's presence.

⁵ Howbeit, now put forth your hand and touch his bone and his flesh. He shall assuredly scorn you to your face.

⁵ But now it is coming on you, and you tire; It is touching unto you, and you panic.

²¹ Be gracious to me! be gracious to me, you, my associates! For the hand of Eloah has touched me.

¹⁵ Saying, You must not touch My anointed ones, And to My prophets you must not do evil!"

²⁵ Therefore the anger of Yahweh of hosts is hot among His people, and He is stretching out His hand over them, and smiting them. And disturbed are the chiefs, and their carcasses are becoming as sweepings within the streets. In all this His anger does not reverse, and His hand is outstretched still."

²¹ when hardship and famine pass through the land. And it comes, that it is famishing and wroth with itself, and it makes light of its king and his Elohim. Then it faces upward into the heavens above,

¹³ Your words are steadfast against Me, says Yahweh. Yet you say, What do we speak against You? ¹⁴ You say, It is futility to serve Elohim. And what gain is it that we keep His charge, and that we go somberly in view of Yahweh of hosts?

⁹ And mankind is scorched with great heat, and they blaspheme the name of God, Who has the jurisdiction over these calamities, and they do not repent, to give Him glory."

¹¹ and blaspheme the God of heaven for their miseries and for their ulcers; and they do not repent of their acts.

²¹ And hail, large as a talent weight, is descending out of heaven on mankind. And men blaspheme God as a result of the calamity of hail, for great is its calamity-tremendous!"

⁶ And saying is Abram to Sarai, "Behold, your maid is in your hands. Do to her what is good in your eyes.And Sarai is humiliating her, and away is she running from her face.

²³ And now, lo, Yahweh has put a spirit of falsehood in the mouth of all these your prophets, and Yahweh has spoken concerning you--evil..

⁴ Then Satan answered Yahweh and said, Skin in behalf of skin, for all that a man has would he give in behalf of his soul. ⁵ Howbeit, now put forth your hand and touch his bone and his flesh. He shall assuredly scorn you to your face. ⁶ Hence Yahweh said to Satan, Behold him in your hand; yea, but keep his soul alive. ⁷ Then Satan went forth from Yahweh's presence, and he smote Job with evil boils from the sole of his feet unto his scalp.

¹⁰ For the fury of humanity, it is acclaiming You; The remainder of the fury shall celebrate to You."

⁸ In moderation You did contend with her, when sending her away. He coos with His stiff wind in the day of the east wind."

⁵ And the king Zedekiah said, `Lo, he [is] in your hand:for the king is not able for you [in] anything.'"

³² Now a considerable herd of hogs was there, grazing on the mountain, and they entreat Him that He should permit them to be entering into those. And He permits them." ³³ Now the demons, coming out from the man, entered into the hogs, and the herd rushes down the precipice into the lake and was smothered."

³¹ Now the Lord said, "Simon, Simon, lo! Satan claims you men, to sift you as grain." ³² Yet I besought concerning you, that your faith may not be defaulting. And once you turn back, establish your brethren."

³⁵ The Father is loving the Son and has given all into His hand." ³⁶ He who is believing in the Son has life eonian, yet he who is stubborn as to the Son shall not be seeing life, but the indignation of God is remaining on him."

¹¹ Jesus answered him, "No authority have you against Me in anything, except it were given to you from above. Therefore he who is giving Me up to you has the greater sin."

¹³ No trial has taken you except what is human. Now, faithful is God, Who will not be leaving you to be tried above what you are able, but, together with the trial, will be making the sequel also, to enable you to undergo it."

⁷ Wherefore also, lest I should be lifted up by the transcendence of the revelations, there was given to me a splinter in the flesh, a messenger of Satan, that he may be buffeting me, lest I may be lifted up. "

⁴ Now his sons would go and hold a feast, each in his house on his day, and they would send and call to their three sisters to eat and to drink with them.

¹ Do not boast about tomorrow, For you do not know what a day may generate."

¹² For, moreover, a man does not know his season; Like fish that are held in a vicious weir, And like birds that are held in a snare, So the sons of humanity themselves are trapped by a season of evil, When it falls on them suddenly."

¹⁹ And I will be declaring to my soul, "Soul, many good things have you laid up for many years. Rest, eat, drink, make merry."'" ²⁰ Yet God said to him, 'Imprudent one! In this night your soul are they demanding from you. Now, what you make ready, whose will it be?'"

¹⁷ And he who is bearing tidings answers and said, `Israel has fled before the Philistines, and also a great slaughter has been among the people, and also your two sons have died--Hophni and Phinehas--and the ark of Elohim has been captured..

¹³ And he who is declaring tidings comes in unto David, saying, `The heart of the men of Israel has been after Absalom..

³¹ Runner to meet runner does run, And announcer to meet announcer, To announce to the king of Babylon, For, captured has been his city--at the extremity."

¹⁶ This one was still speaking when another came and said, The fire of Elohim, it fell from the heavens, it consumed the flock and the lads, and it devoured them, yet I escaped, but I myself alone, to tell it to you. ¹⁷ This one was still speaking when another came and said, The Chaldeans, they formed three bands, and they emerged on the camels and took them. Then they smote the lads with the edge of the sword, yet I escaped, but I myself alone, to tell it to you.

¹⁹ when behold, a great wind came from across the wilderness, and it assaulted against the four corners of the house. It fell upon the lads, and they died, yet I escaped, but I myself alone, to tell it to you.

¹⁹ The caravans of Tema look for waters; The wayfarers of Sheba expect to find them.

¹⁰ The kings of Tarshish and the coastlands shall render a tributary present; The kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer levy.

¹⁴ Thus says Yahweh of hosts, "The labor of Egypt, and the merchandise of Ethiopia, and the Sabeans, mortals of exceptional measure, shall pass over to you and become your servants. After you shall they go. In manacles shall they pass. And to you shall they prostrate, and to you shall they pray:`Yea, among you is the El, and no one else is the limit of the Elohim.'"

⁴² And the voice of a multitude at ease [is] with her, And unto men of the common people are brought in Sabeans from the wilderness, And they put bracelets on their hands, And a beauteous crown on their heads."

⁸ and I sell your sons and your daughters, into the hands of the sons of Judah, and they sell them into captivity, to a nation afar, for Yahweh speaks."

²⁴ And Yahweh rains on Sodom and on Gomorrah sulphur and fire from Yahweh, from the heavens.

²⁸ Make an entreaty to Yahweh, for this is enough of there coming to be thundering sounds of Elohim and hail. Let me dismiss you; you shall not continue to stay.

²⁴ fire came forth from before Yahweh, and it devoured the ascent offering and the fat portions on the altar. When all the people saw it, they were jubilant and fell on their faces.

² Hence fire came forth from before Yahweh and devoured them, and they died before Yahweh.

¹ The people became like complainers, evil in the ears of Yahweh. Yahweh hearkened and His anger grew hot, and the fire of Yahweh consumed some among them and devoured the outmost part of the camp. ² Then the people cried to Moses, so Moses prayed to Yahweh, and the fire was drowned. ³ He called the name of that place Taberah, for the fire of Yahweh had consumed some among them.

¹⁵ and there is a trembling in the camp, in the field, and among all the people, the station and the destroyers have trembled--even they, and the earth shakes, and it becomes a trembling of Elohim.

³⁸ And there falls a fire of Yahweh, and consumes the burnt-offering, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and the water that [is] in the trench it has licked up.

¹⁰ And Elijah answers and speaks unto the head of the fifty, `And if I [am] a man of Elohim, fire does come down from the heavens, and consume you and your fifty;' and fire comes down from the heavens, and consumes him and his fifty.

¹² And Elijah answers and speaks unto them, `If I [am] a man of Elohim, fire does come down from the heavens, and consume you and your fifty;' and fire of Elohim comes down from the heavens, and consumes him and his fifty.

¹⁴ Lo, come down has fire from the heavens, and consumes the two heads of the former fifties and their fifties; and, now, let my soul be precious in your eyes..

⁴ Thus my Lord Yahweh shows me:And behold! my Lord Yahweh is calling to contend by fire. And it is devouring the vast submerged chaos, and it devours the portion of Yahweh."

¹³ And it is doing great signs, that it may be making fire, also, descend out of heaven into the earth in the sight of mankind."

²⁸ And Haran died in the presence of Terah, his father, in the land of his birth, in Ur of the Chaldeans.

³¹ And taking is Terah Abram, his son, and Lot, the son of Haran, his son's son, and Sarai, his daughter-in-law, wife of Abram, his son, and faring forth is he with them from Ur of the Chaldeans, to go to the land of Canaan. And coming are they as far as Charan, and dwelling there are they.

³ And David said to him, `Whence come you?' and he said unto him, `Out of the camp of Israel I have escaped..

¹⁵ when the Sabeans swooped down and took them. Then they smote the lads with the edge of the sword, yet I escaped, but I myself alone, to tell it to you.

¹³ Behold the land of the Chaldeans--this people became nothing. Assyria devastated it into arid regions. They raise lookouts. They denude citadels. They make into a fallen place. Even there, there is no stopping."

⁶ For, behold Me raising the Chaldeans, the bitter and hasty nation, going the widths of the earth to tenant tabernacles not his own."

²⁸ And Absalom commands his young men, saying, `See, I pray you, when the heart of Amnon [is] glad with wine, and I have said unto you, Smite Amnon, that you have put him to death; fear not; is it not because I have commanded you? be strong, yea, become sons of valor..

¹³ Now the day came when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in the house of their brother, the firstborn.

² O that my vexation could be weighed, yea weighed. And they could take up my woe upon the scales together with it. ³ Because now it is heavier than the sand of the seas, Therefore my words are impetuous.

¹⁴ He breaches upon me, breach adjoining breach; He runs upon me like a master of war.

⁹ My glory He has stripped from me, And He takes away the crown from my head. ¹⁰ He breaks me down round about, so that I go away, And He uproots my expectation like a tree.

² Today as well, my meditation will seem rebellious; His hand is heavy on my sighing.

¹⁴ However many are his sons, for them is the sword, And his offspring shall not be satisfied with bread.

¹⁹ Many are the evils on the righteous one, But Yahweh shall rescue him from them all,

² Just as to all, one event happens, to the righteous one and to the wicked one, to the good one and to the bad one, To the clean one and to the unclean one, To the one who sacrifices and to him who makes no sacrifice, So it is for the good person as for the sinner, For the one who swears just as for one fearful of an oath."

¹⁹ As often as it passes, it will take you, for morning by morning will it pass, by day and by night, and it comes to be an evil agony to explain the report."

¹² Is it nothing to you, all who pass along the way? Look about and see if there is any pain like my pain which is brought on me, With which Yahweh afflicts in the day of His hot anger."

⁶ And, moreover, I give you teeth innocent of food in all your cities, and lack of bread in all your places. Yet you do not return unto Me, (averring is Yahweh)." ⁷ And, moreover, I withhold from you the downpour, while still three months to harvest, and I cause rain on one city, and on another city I am not causing rain; one portion was rained upon, and the portion upon which I am not causing rain is drying up." ⁸ And two or three cities rove to one city to drink water, yet they are not satisfied. Yet you do not return unto Me, (averring is Yahweh)." ⁹ I smite you with blasting and with green mold. The increase of your gardens and your vineyards and your figs and your olives, the larva of the locust is devouring. Yet you do not return unto Me, (averring is Yahweh)." ¹⁰ I send among you a plague in the way as in Egypt. I kill your chosen men by the sword, with the captivity of your horses, and I am making the stink of your camp ascend even in your nose. Yet you do not return unto Me, (averring is Yahweh)." ¹¹ I overturn among you as Elohim overturned Sodom and Gomorrah, and you are becoming as a wooden poker rescued from the burning. Yet you do not return unto Me, (averring is Yahweh)."

³² And sending are they the distinctive tunic, and they are bringing it to their father. And saying are they, "This we found. Pray identify the tunic, if it is not your son's. ³³ And identifying it is he and saying, "The tunic of my son! An evil animal has devoured him! Joseph is torn to pieces, yea, to pieces!"

³⁶ And saying to them is Jacob, their father, "Me you bereave! Joseph is not, and Simeon is not, and Benjamin you will take! On me come all these things.

³⁰ and Samson said, `Let me die with the Philistines,' and he inclines himself powerfully, and the house falls on the princes, and on all the people who [are] in it, and the dead whom he has put to death in his death are more than those whom he put to death in his life.

³³ And the king trembles, and goes up on the upper chamber of the gate, and weeps, and thus he has said in his going, `My son! Absalom my son; my son Absalom; oh that I had died for you, Absalom, my son, my son..

³⁰ And those left flee to Aphek, unto the city, and the wall falls on twenty and seven chief men who are left, and Ben-Hadad has fled, and comes in unto the city, into the innermost part.

¹¹ At that time it is said of this people, And of Jerusalem:`A dry wind of high places in the wilderness,' The way of the daughter of My people, (Not for winnowing, nor for cleansing,)" ¹² A full wind from these does come for Me, Now, also, I speak judgments with them."

²⁷ And the rain descended, and the rivers came, and the winds blow and they dash against that house, and it falls: and the fall of it was great."

¹ Now there were some present, on the same occasion, reporting to Him concerning the Galileans whose blood Pilate mixes with their sacrifices." ² And, answering, Jesus said to them, "Are you supposing that these Galileans came to be sinners beyond all the Galileans, seeing that they have suffered such things? ³ No, I am saying to you. But if you should not be repenting, you all shall likewise be perishing." ⁴ Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam falls and kills them, are you supposing that they came to be debtors beyond all the men dwelling in Jerusalem? ⁵ No, I am saying to you. But if ever you should not be repenting, all of you similarly shall be perishing."

⁴ Now, as the barbarians perceived the wild beast hanging from his hand, they said to one another, "Undoubtedly this man is a murderer, whom, being safely through out of the sea, Justice lets not live."

² in which once you walked, in accord with the eon of this world, in accord with the chief of the jurisdiction of the air, the spirit now operating in the sons of stubbornness "

²⁹ And returning is Reuben to the cistern, and behold! No Joseph is in the cistern. And tearing is he his garments.

³⁴ And tearing is Jacob his garments, and is placing sackcloth on his waist, and is mourning over his son many days.

¹⁸ Then I cast myself down before Yahweh as the first time for forty days and forty nights. Bread I did not eat, and water I did not drink on account of all your sin which you had sinned by doing what was evil in the eyes of Yahweh your Elohim to provoke Him to vexation.

¹⁶ and David seeks Elohim for the youth, and David keeps a fast, and has gone in and lodged, and lain on the earth. ¹⁷ And the elders of his house rise against him, to raise him up from the earth, and he has not been willing, nor has he eaten with them bread;" ¹⁸ and it comes to pass on the seventh day, that the lad dies, and the servants of David fear to declare to him that the lad is dead, for they said, `Lo, in the lad being alive we spoke unto him, and he did not hearken to our voice; and how do we say unto him, The lad is dead? --then he has done evil.. <sup>19</sup> And David sees that his servants are whispering, and David understands that the lad is dead, and David said unto his servants, `Is the lad dead?' and they say, `Dead.. ²⁰ And David rises from the earth, and does bathe and anoint [himself], and changes his raiment, and comes in to the house of Yahweh, and bows himself, and comes unto his house, and asks and they place for him bread, and he eats.

³ And all the sons of Israel are looking on the descending of the fire, and the honor of Yahweh on the house, and they bow--faces to the earth--on the pavement, and do obeisance, and give thanks to Yahweh, for good, for to the eon [is] His kindness.

³ When I heard about this matter, I tore my garment and my robe and scraped some of the hair of my head and my beard and sat down in desolation.

³⁹ And coming forward a little, He falls on His face, praying and saying, "My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass by from Me. However, not as I will, but as Thou!"

⁶ Be humbled, then, under the mighty hand of God, that He should be exalting you in season,

¹⁹ In the sweat of your face shall you eat your bread, till your return to the ground, for from it are you taken, for soil you are, and to soil are you returning.

² And hot is the anger of Jacob against Rachel. And saying is he to her, "In Elohim's stead am I, Who withholds from you the fruit of the belly?

⁵ And now, you must not grieve, and it must not be hot in your eyes, that you sell me hither, for to preserve life the Elohim sends me before you.

⁷ Yahweh dispossesses, and He makes rich, He makes low, yea, He makes high.

¹⁸ And Samuel declares to him the whole of the words, and has not hid from him; and he said, `It [is] Yahweh; that which is good in His eyes He does..

¹² it may be Yahweh does look on mine affliction, and Yahweh has turned back to me good for his reviling this day..

¹⁹ And Hezekiah said unto Isaiah, `Good [is] the word of Yahweh that you have spoken;' and he said, `Is it not--if peace and truth are in my days?.

⁹ I have become mute; I shall not open my mouth, For You Yourself have acted."

¹⁷ For, in his death, he cannot take anything along; His glory shall not descend after him."

³⁸ Yet You have cast off and are rejecting; You are enraged with Your anointed. ³⁹ You have disowned the covenant with Your servant; You have profaned his insignia down to the earth. ⁴⁰ You have breached all his stone dikes; You have made fatal cracks in his defenses. ⁴¹ All those passing by the way rob him; He has become a reproach to his neighbors. ⁴² You have exalted the right hand of his foes; You have made all his enemies rejoice. ⁴³ Indeed You turn back the sharpness of his sword, And have not raised him up in battle." ⁴⁴ You have caused his luster to cease, And You have toppled his throne to the earth." ⁴⁵ You have shortened the days of his adolescence; You have muffled him with shame. {Interlude{ ⁴⁶ How long, O Yahweh; shall You be concealed permanently? How long shall Your fury consume like fire? ⁴⁷ Remember how transient is my life, For what futility have You created all the sons of humanity? ⁴⁸ What master could live and not see death? Could his soul escape from the hand of the unseen? {Interlude{ ⁴⁹ Where are Your former benignities, O Yahweh, Which You swore to David in Your faithfulness? ⁵⁰ Remember, O Yahweh, the reproach of Your servants; I bear in my bosom the mortification from many peoples, ⁵¹ With which Your enemies reproach, O Yahweh, With which they reproach the heel-prints of Your anointed one." ⁵² Blessed be Yahweh for the eon. Amen and amen.

¹⁵ Just as he came forth from his mother's belly, Naked shall he return, to go as he came; He shall not carry away anything from his toil which can go in his hand."

¹⁹ Moreover, concerning any man to whom the One, Elohim, gives riches and substance, And gives him power to eat of it and to obtain his portion and to rejoice in his toil, This good, it is a gift of Elohim."

⁷ And the soil returns to the earth just as it was, And the spirit, it returns to the One, Elohim, Who gave it."

¹⁵ Therefore in the coastlands shall they glorify Yahweh. In the coastlands of the sea the name of Yahweh, the Elohim of Israel, is glorious."

²⁴ Who gives Jacob to the robber, and Israel to plunderers? Is it not Yahweh Elohim, this One against Whom they sin? Yet they are not willing to go in His ways. And they are not hearkening to His law."

⁷ Former of light and Creator of darkness, Maker of good and Creator of evil. I, Yahweh Elohim, made all of these things."

³⁸ Do not both the evil and the good come forth from the mouth of the Supreme?

⁶ Would a trumpet be blown in a city, and the people not tremble? Would there come to be evil in a city, and Yahweh not have done it?

¹⁵ Is it not allowed me to do what I want with that which is mine? Or is your eye wicked, seeing that I am good?'"

²⁸ to do whatever Thy hand and Thy counsel designates beforehand to occur.

²⁰ giving thanks always for all things, in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ,

¹⁸ In everything be giving thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. "

⁷ for nothing do we carry into the world, and it is evident that neither can we carry anything out."

¹⁷ All good giving and every perfect gratuity is from above, descending from the Father of lights, in Whom there is no mutation or shadow from revolving motion."

¹⁰ Wherefore, men of wise heart, hearken to me:Far be it from El to do wickedness, And Him Who Suffices to do iniquity.

¹⁸ Who says to a king, Worthless one, And to patrons, Wicked one, ¹⁹ Who does not repute chiefs, Nor is He partial to the rich-man above the poor,For they all are the work of His hands?

⁴ Behold, I am slight; how can I reply to You? I place my hand upon my mouth. ⁵ I spoke once but shall not answer further, Twice, but I shall not continue. ⁶ So Yahweh answered Job from the tempest and said: ⁷ Belt up your loins then like a master; I shall ask of you, and you inform Me. ⁸ Indeed, would you ever quash My judgment? Would you condemn Me that you might be just?

²⁰ O man! who are you, to be sure, who are answering again to God? That which is molded will not protest to the molder, "Why do you make me thus?

⁴ Now let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and unimpaired, lacking in nothing."

¹² Happy is the man who is enduring trial, for, becoming qualified, he will be obtaining the wreath of life, which He promises to those loving Him."

⁷ that the testing of your faith, much more precious than gold which is perishing, yet, being tested by fire, may be found for applause and glory and honor at the unveiling of Jesus Christ,
