¹¹ I shall direct back to you these matters about the hand of El; What is concerning Him Who Suffices I shall not suppress.

⁵ See! I have taught you statutes and judgments just as Yahweh my Elohim had instructed me, for you to do thus within the land where you are entering to tenant it.

³ Behold, you have disciplined many, And you always fortified the slacking hands. ⁴ Your declarations raised the one stumbling, And you made the bowing knees resolute.

¹⁰ Then there would still be some consolation for me, And I would caper in this travail which He is not sparing, For I have not suppressed the words of the Holy One.

⁸ But surely it is the spirit in a mortal, And the breath of Him Who Suffices that gives them understanding. ⁹ Seniors may not be wise Or elders understand judgment. ¹⁰ Wherefore I say, Do hear me; I shall disclose my knowledge, I also.

¹⁷ O Elohim, You have taught me from my youth, And hitherto am I telling of Your marvelous works."

¹¹ For thus says Yahweh to me, as, with a steadfast hand, He disciplines me, lest I go in the way of this people, saying,

²⁰ how under no circumstances did I shrink from informing you of anything which was expedient, and teaching you in public and at your homes,
