¹ Now, looking up, He perceived the rich casting their approach presents into the treasury." ² Yet He perceived a certain widow also, a drudge, casting there two mites." ³ And He said, "Truly, I am saying to you that this poor widow casts in more than all." ⁴ For all these cast out of their superfluity into the approach presents of God, yet this woman, out of her want, casts in all the livelihood which she had." ⁵ And at some saying concerning the sanctuary, that it is adorned with ideal stones and votive offerings, He said, ⁶ These which you are beholding-there will be coming days in which not a stone will be left here on a stone, which will not be demolished." ⁷ Now they inquire of Him, saying, "Teacher, when, then, will these things be, and what is the sign whenever these things may be about to be occurring? ⁸ Now He said, "Beware that you may not be deceived, for many shall be coming in My name, saying that I am!' and 'The season is near!' You may not, then, be going after them." ⁹ Now whenever you should be hearing battles and turbulences you may not be dismayed, for these things must occur first, but not immediately is the consummation." ¹⁰ Then He said to them, "Roused shall be nation against nation, and kingdom against kingdom." ¹¹ Besides, there shall be great quakes and, in places, famines and pestilences. There shall be fearful sights besides great signs also from heaven." ¹² Yet before all these things they shall be laying their hands on you and they shall be persecuting you, giving you up into the synagogues and jails, being led off to kings and governors on account of My name." ¹³ Yet it shall be eventuating to you for a testimony. ¹⁴ Ponder, then, in your hearts not to be premeditating a defense, ¹⁵ for I will be giving you a mouth and wisdom, which all those opposing you shall not be able to withstand or contradict." ¹⁶ Yet you shall be given up by parents also, and brothers and relatives and friends, and they shall be putting some of you to death." ¹⁷ And you shall be hated by all because of My name. ¹⁸ And a hair of your head should by no means be perishing. ¹⁹ By your endurance shall you be acquiring your souls. ²⁰ Now whenever you may be perceiving Jerusalem surrounded by encampments, then know that her desolation is near." ²¹ Then let those in Judea flee into the mountains, and let those in her midst be coming out into the country, and let not those in the country be entering into her, ²² for days of vengeance are these, to fulfill all that is written." ²³ Yet woe to those who are pregnant, and to those suckling in those days; for there will be great necessity in the land and indignation on this people." ²⁴ And they shall be falling by the edge of the sword and shall be led into captivity into all nations. And Jerusalem shall be trodden by the nations, until the eras of the nations may be fulfilled." ²⁵ And there shall be signs in the sun and the moon and the constellations, and on the earth pressure of nations in perplexity, at the resounding of the sea and the shaking, ²⁶ at the chilling of men from fear and apprehensiveness of that which is coming on the inhabited earth, for the powers of the heavens shall be shaken." ²⁷ And then they shall be seeing the Son of Mankind coming in a cloud with power and much glory. ²⁸ Now at the beginning of these occurrences, unbend and lift up your heads, because your deliverance is drawing near." ²⁹ And He told them a parable: "Perceive the fig tree and all the trees." ³⁰ Whenever they should be already budding, you, observing for yourselves, know it is because summer is already near." ³¹ Thus you also, whenever you may be perceiving these things occurring, know that near is the kingdom of God." ³² Verily, I am saying to you that by no means may this generation be passing by till all should be occurring." ³³ Heaven and earth shall be passing by, yet My words shall by no means be passing by." ³⁴ Now take heed to yourselves, lest at some time your hearts should be burdened with crapulence and drunkenness and the worries of life's affairs, and that day may be standing by you unawares, ³⁵ as a trap, for it will intrude on all those sitting on the surface of the entire earth." ³⁶ Now be vigilant, on every occasion beseeching that you may be prevailing to escape all these things which are about to occur, and to stand in front of the Son of Mankind." ³⁷ Now during the days, He was in the sanctuary, teaching. Yet during the nights, coming out, He camped out in the mount called Olivet." ³⁸ And the entire people came early to Him in the sanctuary, to hear Him"

¹⁹ and all the silver and gold, and vessels of brass and iron, holy they [are] to Yahweh; into the treasury of Yahweh they come..

²⁴ And the city they have burnt with fire, and all that [is] in it; only, the silver and the gold, and the vessels of brass, and of iron, they have given [to] the treasury of the house of Yahweh;"

²⁶ and he takes the treasures of the house of Yahweh, and the treasures of the house of the king, yea, the whole he has taken; and he takes all the shields of gold that Solomon made.

¹³ and brings out thence all the treasures of the house of Yahweh, and the treasures of the house of the king, and cuts in pieces all the vessels of gold that Solomon king of Israel made in the temple of Yahweh, as Yahweh had spoken.

¹⁸ And all the vessels of the house of Elohim, the great and the small, and the treasures of the house of Yahweh, and the treasures of the king and of his princes--the whole he has brought in to Babylon.

¹³ And I appoint treasurers over the treasuries, Shelemiah the priest, and Zadok the scribe, and Pedaiah of the Levites; and by their hand [is] Hanan son of Zaccur, son of Mattaniah, for stedfast they have been reckoned, and on them [it is] to give a portion to their brethren.

⁶ Now the chief priests, taking the silver pieces, said, "It is not allowed to cast them into the corban, since it is the price of blood."

¹¹ Yet you are saying, 'If a man should be saying to father or mother, "A corban (which is an approach present) is whatsoever you may be benefitted by me,'" ¹² no longer are you letting him do anything for his father or his mother, ¹³ invalidating the word of God by your tradition which you give over. And many such like things you are doing."

⁴¹ And Jesus, being seated facing the treasury, beheld how the throng is casting the coppers into the treasury. And many rich cast in much." ⁴² And one woman, a poor widow, coming, cast in two mites, which is a quadrans." ⁴³ And, calling His disciples to Him, He said to them, "Verily, I am saying to you that this poor widow casts in more than all who are casting into the treasury." ⁴⁴ For all cast out of their superfluity, yet she, out of her want, cast in all, as much as she had - her whole livelihood."

²⁰ These declarations He speaks in the treasury, teaching in the sanctuary, and no one arrests Him, for not as yet had come His hour."

⁴² And one woman, a poor widow, coming, cast in two mites, which is a quadrans."

²¹ then every man whose heart prompted him entered, and everyone whose spirit made him willing brought Yahweh's heave offering for the work of the tent of appointment and for all its service and for the holy garments. ²² The men entered along with their wives, all with a willing heart. They brought clasps and pendants and rings and plaited ornaments, every article of gold. So did every man who would wave a wave offering of gold to Yahweh. ²³ And every man with whom was found blue, purple and double dipped crimson, cambric and goats' hair, reddened rams' hides and azure hides, they brought them. ²⁴ All raising up a heave offering of silver and copper brought Yahweh's heave offering. All with whom was found acacia wood for all the work of the service, they brought it. ²⁵ Every woman wise of heart spun with her hands, and they brought the spinning, the blue, the purple, the double-dipped crimson and the cambric. ²⁶ All the wives whose heart prompted them with wisdom spun the goats' hair. ²⁷ The princes, they brought the onyx stones and the filling stones for the vestment and for the breastplate, ²⁸ also the aromatics and the oil for the luminary and for the anointing oil and for the incense of spices. ²⁹ Every man and woman whose heart made them willing to bring for all the work which Yahweh had instructed to do by the hand of Moses, the sons of Israel brought as a voluntary offering to Yahweh.

⁸ What she had she makes use of. She gets beforehand to anoint My body with attar for burial. ⁹ Now verily I am saying to you, Wheresoever this evangel may be heralded in the whole world, that also which she does shall be spoken of for a memorial of her."

²⁵ Now of a truth I am saying to you, that many widows were in Israel in the days of Elijah, when heaven is locked for three years and six months, as a great famine came to be over the entire land,

²⁷ Now I am saying to you, truly there are some of those standing here who under no circumstances should be tasting death till they should be perceiving the kingdom of God."

⁴⁴ Truly, I am saying to you that over all his possessions will he be placing him."

²⁷ For of a truth, in this city were gathered against Thy holy Boy Jesus, Whom Thou dost anoint, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, together with the nations and the peoples of Israel,

³⁴ Now Peter, opening his mouth, said, "Of a truth I am grasping that God is not partial,

² for, in a test of much affliction, the superabundance of their joy and the corresponding depth of their poverty superabounds to the riches of their generosity, ³ for, according to their ability, I am testifying, and beyond their ability, of their own accord,

¹² For if eagerness lies before, it is most acceptable according to whatever one may have, not according to what he has not."

⁶ yet as this: who is sowing sparingly, sparingly shall be reaping also, and who is sowing bountifully, bountifully shall be reaping also, ⁷ each according as he has proposed in his heart, not sorrowfully, nor of compulsion, for the gleeful giver is loved by God."

⁴³ And a woman, having a hemorrhage for twelve years, whose whole livelihood is being consumed by physicians, is not strong enough to be cured by anyone."

¹² And the younger of them said to the father, 'Father, give me the part of the estate accruing to me.' Now he apportioned to them the livelihood."

⁴⁴ Now all those who believe also were in the same place and had all things in common. ⁴⁵ And they disposed of the acquisitions and the properties, and divided them to all, forasmuch as some would have had need."

³⁴ for neither was there any indigent among them, for whoever belonged to the acquirers of freeholds or of houses, selling these, they brought the price of that which is being disposed of,

¹ And, coming out, Jesus went from the sanctuary. And His disciples approached to exhibit to Him the buildings of the sanctuary." ² Yet He, answering, said to them, "Are you not observing all these? Verily, I am saying to you, Under no circumstances may a stone here be left on a stone, which shall not be demolished." ³ Now at His sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things be? And what is the sign of Thy presence and of the conclusion of the eon? ⁴ And, answering, Jesus said to them, "Beware that no one should be deceiving you." ⁵ For many shall be coming in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ!' and shall be deceiving many." ⁶ Yet you shall be about to be hearing battles, and tidings of battles. See that you are not alarmed, for it must be occurring; but not as yet is the consummation." ⁷ For roused shall be a nation against a nation, and a kingdom against a kingdom, and there shall be famines and quakes in places." ⁸ Yet all these are the beginning of pangs. ⁹ Then shall they be giving you up to affliction, and they shall be killing you, and you shall be hated by all of the nations because of My name." ¹⁰ And then many shall be snared, and they shall be giving one another up and hating one another." ¹¹ And many false prophets shall be roused, and shall be deceiving many." ¹² And, because of the multiplication of lawlessness, the love of many shall be cooling." ¹³ Yet he who endures to the consummation, he shall be saved." ¹⁴ And heralded shall be this evangel of the kingdom in the whole inhabited earth for a testimony to all the nations, and then the consummation shall be arriving." ¹⁵ Whenever, then, you may be perceiving the abomination of desolation, which is declared through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let him who is reading apprehend!);" ¹⁶ then let those in Judea flee into the mountains. ¹⁷ Let him who is on the housetop not descend to take away the things out of his house. ¹⁸ And let him who is in the field not turn back behind him to pick up his cloak. ¹⁹ Now woe to those who are pregnant and those suckling in those days!" ²⁰ Now be praying that your flight may not be occurring in winter, nor yet on a sabbath, ²¹ for then shall be great affliction, such as has not occurred from the beginning of the world till now; neither under any circumstances may be occurring." ²² And, except those days were discounted, no flesh at all would be saved. Yet, because of the chosen, those days shall be discounted." ²³ Then, if anyone should be saying to you, 'Lo! here is the Christ! or 'Here!' you should not be believing it." ²⁴ For roused shall be false christs and false prophets, and they shall be giving great signs and miracles, so as to deceive, if possible, even the chosen." ²⁵ Lo! I have declared it to you beforehand. ²⁶ If, then, they should say to you, 'Lo! in the wilderness is he!' you may not be coming out' 'Lo! in the storerooms!' you should not be believing it." ²⁷ For even as the lightning is coming out from the east and is appearing as far as the west, thus shall be the presence of the Son of Mankind." ²⁸ Wheresoever the corpse may be, there will the vultures be gathered." ²⁹ Now immediately after the affliction of those days the sun shall be darkened and the moon shall not be giving her beams, and the stars shall be falling from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken." ³⁰ And then shall appear the sign of the Son of Mankind in heaven, and then all the tribes of the land shall grieve, and they shall see the Son of Mankind coming on the clouds of heaven with power and much glory." ³¹ And He shall be dispatching His messengers with a loud sounding trumpet, and they shall be assembling His chosen from the four winds, from the extremities of the heavens to their extremities." ³² Now from the fig tree learn a parable: Whenever its bough may already be becoming tender, and the leaves sprouting out, you know that summer is near." ³³ Thus you, also, whenever you may be perceiving all these things, know that He is near-at the doors." ³⁴ Verily, I am saying to you that by no means may this generation be passing by till all these things should be occurring." ³⁵ Heaven and earth shall be passing by, yet My words may by no means be passing by." ³⁶ Now, concerning that day and hour no one is aware, neither the messengers of the heavens, nor the Son; except the Father only." ³⁷ For even as the days of Noah, thus shall be the presence of the Son of Mankind." ³⁸ For as they were in those days before the deluge, masticating and drinking and marrying and taking in marriage until the day on which Noah entered into the ark, ³⁹ and did not know till the deluge came and takes them all away, thus shall be the presence of the Son of Mankind." ⁴⁰ Then two shall be in the field; one is taken along and one left: ⁴¹ two grinding at the millstone; one is taken along and one left. ⁴² Be watching, then, for you are not aware on what day your Lord is coming." ⁴³ Now that be knowing, for if the householder were aware in what watch the thief is coming, he would watch, and would not let his house be tunneled into." ⁴⁴ Therefore you also become ready, for in an hour which you are not supposing, the Son of Mankind is coming." ⁴⁵ Who, consequently, is the faithful and prudent slave whom the lord places over his household to give them nourishment in season? ⁴⁶ Happy is that slave whom his lord, coming, will be finding doing thus." ⁴⁷ Verily, I am saying to you that over all his possessions will he be placing him." ⁴⁸ Now if that evil slave should be saying in his heart, 'Delaying is my lord,'" ⁴⁹ and should begin to beat his fellow slaves, yet may be eating and drinking with the drunken, ⁵⁰ the lord of that slave will be arriving on a day for which he is not hoping, and in an hour which he knows not, ⁵¹ and shall be cutting him asunder, and will be appointing his part with the hypocrites. There shall be lamentation and gnashing of teeth."

¹ And at His going out of the sanctuary, one of His disciples is saying to Him, "Teacher! Lo! what manner of stones and what manner of buildings!" ² And answering, Jesus said to him, "Are you observing these great buildings? Under no circumstances may a stone be left here on a stone, which may not by all means be demolished." ³ And at His sitting on the mount of Olives, facing the sanctuary, Peter and James and John and Andrew inquired of Him privately, ⁴ Tell us, when will these things be? And what is the sign whenever all these things may be about to be concluding? ⁵ Now Jesus, answering, begins to say to them, "Beware that no one should be deceiving you!" ⁶ For many shall be coming in My name, saying that I am! and shall be deceiving many." ⁷ Now whenever you should be hearing battles and tidings of battles, see that you are not alarmed, for it must be occurring, but not as yet is the consummation." ⁸ For roused shall be nation against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there shall be quakes in places. And there shall be famines and disturbances." ⁹ The beginning of pangs are these. Yet you be looking to yourselves, for they shall be giving you up to the sanhedrins, and in synagogues shall you be lashed, and before governors and even kings shall you stand on My account, for a testimony to them." ¹⁰ And to all the nations first must be heralded the evangel. ¹¹ And whenever they may be leading you off, to give you over, do not worry beforehand what you should be speaking, neither be meditating, but whatsoever may be given to you in that hour, this be speaking, for it is not you who are speaking, but the holy spirit." ¹² And brother will be giving up brother to death, and father, child. And children shall be rising up against parents and shall be putting them to death." ¹³ And you shall be hated by all because of My name. Yet he who endures to the consummation, he shall be saved." ¹⁴ Now whenever you may be perceiving the abomination of desolation, declared by Daniel the prophet, standing where it must not (let the reader apprehend), then let those in Judea flee into the mountains." ¹⁵ Now let him who is on the housetop not be descending into the house, neither let him enter, to pick up anything out of his house." ¹⁶ And let him who is in the field not turn back to that behind, to pick up his cloak." ¹⁷ Now woe to those who are pregnant and those suckling in those days!" ¹⁸ Now be praying that your flight may not be occurring in winter, ¹⁹ for in those days will be affliction such as has not occurred from the beginning of the creation which God creates till now, and under no circumstances may be occurring." ²⁰ And, except the Lord discounts the days, no flesh at all would be saved. But because of the chosen, whom He chooses, He discounts the days." ²¹ And then, if anyone should be saying to you, 'Lo! Here is the Christ!' and 'Lo! There!', be not believing." ²² For roused shall be false christs and false prophets, and they shall be giving signs and miracles to lead astray, if possible, even the chosen." ²³ Now you, beware! Lo! Be vigilant and pray, for you are not aware when the era is." ³⁴ It is as a man, a traveler, leaving his home and giving his slaves authority, and to each his work, and he directs the doorkeeper that he may be watching." ³⁵ Watch, then, for you are not aware when the lord of the house is coming, at evening, or midnight, or cockcrowing, or morning, ³⁶ that, coming suddenly, he may not be finding you drowsing." ³⁷ Now what I am saying to you, I am saying to all: 'Watch!'"

²⁰ The Jews, then, said, "In forty and six years was this temple built, and you will be raising it up in three days!"

⁷ then I have cut off Israel from the face of the ground that I have given to them, and the house that I have hallowed for My name I send away from My presence, and Israel has been for a simile and for a byword among all the peoples;" ⁸ as to this house, [that] is high, every one passing by it is astonished, and has hissed, and they have said, Wherefore has Yahweh done thus to this land and to this house? ⁹ and they have said, Because that they have forsaken Yahweh their Elohim, who brought out their fathers from the land of Egypt, and they lay hold on other elohims, and bow themselves to them, and serve them; therefore has Yahweh brought in upon them all this evil..

²⁰ and this house that I have sanctified for My name, I cast from before My face, and make it for a proverb, and for a byword, among all the peoples. ²¹ `And this house that has been high, to every one passing by it, is an astonishment, and he has said, Wherefore has Yahweh done thus to this land, and to this house? ²² and they have said, Because that they have forsaken Yahweh, Elohim of their fathers, who brought them out from the land of Egypt, and lay hold on other elohims, and bow themselves to them, and serve them, therefore He has brought upon them all this evil..

¹⁰ The cities of Your holy place come to be a wilderness. Zion becomes as a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation." ¹¹ The house, our holy place, and our beauty, where our forefathers praised You, came to be burned with fire, and all that we covet came to be demolished."

¹¹ A den of burglars has this house, On which My name is called, been in your eyes? Even I, lo, I have seen, an affirmation of Yahweh." ¹² But go you, I pray you, Unto My place that [is] in Shiloh, Where I caused My name to dwell at first, And see that which I have done to it, For the wickedness of My people Israel." ¹³ And now, because of your doing all these works, An affirmation of Yahweh, And I speak unto you, rising early and speaking, And you have not hearkened, And I call you, and you have not answered, ¹⁴ I also to the house on which My name is called, In which you are trusting, And to the place that I gave to you, and to your fathers, Have done, as I have done to Shiloh."

⁶ Then I have given up this house as Shiloh, and this city I give up for a reviling to all nations of the earth.'"

⁹ Wherefore have you prophesied in the name of Yahweh, saying, `As Shiloh this house shall be, and this city is wasted, without inhabitant?' and all the people are assembled unto Jeremiah in the house of Yahweh."

¹⁸ `Micah the Morashtite has been prophesying in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and he said unto all the people of Judah, saying:Thus said Yahweh of Hosts:Zion is a plowed field, and Jerusalem is heaps, And the mountain of the house is for high places of a forest."

⁶ He is casting down His booth as in a garden; He has ruined His appointed festivals; Yahweh has made appointed festivals and sabbath forgotten in Zion, And in the indignation of His anger He is spurning king and priest." ⁷ Yahweh has cast off His altar; He has disowned His sanctuary; He has surrendered the walls of her citadels into the hand of the enemy. They have raised their voice in the House of Yahweh as on the day of an appointed festival. ⁸ Yahweh has designed to ruin the wall of the daughter of Zion; He has stretched out the measuring tape; He has not turned back His hand from dismantling; So He makes the rampart and wall mourn; together they are enfeebled.

¹ How the gold is tarnished! the good certified gold is altered; The holy stones are strewn about at the head of all the streets.

¹⁸ Because of Mount Zion which is desolate, foxes prowl about it."

²⁰ As to the beauty of his ornament, For excellency He set it, And the images of their abominations, Their detestable things--they made in it, Therefore I have given it to them for impurity, ²¹ And I have given it into the hand of the strangers for a prey, And to the wicked of the land for a spoil, And they have polluted it." ²² And I have turned My face from them, And they have polluted My hidden place, Yea, come into it have destroyers, and polluted it."

²⁶ After the sixty-two sevens, Messiah will be cut off, and there is no adjudication for Him. The city and the holy place shall be laid in ruins with the other governor's coming; then its end is by an overflow, and till the end of the war desolations will be decided." ²⁷ Then he will be master of a covenant with many for one seven:At half of the seven, he will cause to cease the sacrifice and the approach present; on a wing of the sanctuary shall be desolating abominations. Till the conclusion of the era the decided conclusion will be poured forth on the desolation."

¹² Wherefore, due to you, Zion shall be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become rubbish heaps, and the mountain of the house fane heights of a wildwood."

¹ Open your doors, O Lebanon, and the fire shall devour among your cedars."

² Yet I will gather all nations to Jerusalem to battle, and the city shall be seized, and the houses are rifled, and the women ravished. And half the city shall fare forth into deportation. Yet the rest of My people shall not be cut off from the city."

² Yet He, answering, said to them, "Are you not observing all these? Verily, I am saying to you, Under no circumstances may a stone here be left on a stone, which shall not be demolished."

² And answering, Jesus said to him, "Are you observing these great buildings? Under no circumstances may a stone be left here on a stone, which may not by all means be demolished."

⁴⁴ and will be leveling you and your children in you, and they will not be leaving a stone on a stone in you, because you knew not the era of your visitation." ⁴⁵ And, entering into the sanctuary, He begins to cast out those who are selling and buying in it, ⁴⁶ saying to them, "It is written, My house shall also be a house of prayer,' yet you make it a burglars' cave." ⁴⁷ And He was teaching daily in the sanctuary, yet the chief priests and the scribes and the foremost of the people sought to destroy Him." ⁴⁸ And they found not what they should be doing, for all the people, hearing, hung on Him."

¹³ Besides, they put false witnesses on the stand, who say, "This man does not cease speaking, making declarations against this holy place and the law, ¹⁴ for we have heard him saying that this Jesus the Nazarene will be demolishing this place and will be changing the customs which Moses gives over to us."

⁶ I am saying to the man clothed in linen who is above the waters of the waterway, "Till when is the end of the marvels of which you speak, and this cleansing?

⁸ I hear, yet I am not understanding. Hence I am saying, "My lord, what is there after these things?

³ Now at His sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things be? And what is the sign of Thy presence and of the conclusion of the eon?

¹⁵ Whenever, then, you may be perceiving the abomination of desolation, which is declared through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let him who is reading apprehend!);" ¹⁶ then let those in Judea flee into the mountains.

³ And at His sitting on the mount of Olives, facing the sanctuary, Peter and James and John and Andrew inquired of Him privately, ⁴ Tell us, when will these things be? And what is the sign whenever all these things may be about to be concluding?

¹⁴ Now whenever you may be perceiving the abomination of desolation, declared by Daniel the prophet, standing where it must not (let the reader apprehend), then let those in Judea flee into the mountains."

²⁰ Now whenever you may be perceiving Jerusalem surrounded by encampments, then know that her desolation is near." ²¹ Then let those in Judea flee into the mountains, and let those in her midst be coming out into the country, and let not those in the country be entering into her,

²⁷ And then they shall be seeing the Son of Mankind coming in a cloud with power and much glory. ²⁸ Now at the beginning of these occurrences, unbend and lift up your heads, because your deliverance is drawing near."

³² Verily, I am saying to you that by no means may this generation be passing by till all should be occurring."

²¹ Peter, then, perceiving this one, is saying to Jesus, "Lord, yet what of this man? ²² Jesus is saying to him, "If I should be wanting him to be remaining till I am coming, what is it to you? You be following Me!"

⁶ Those, indeed, then, who are coming together, asked Him, saying, "Lord, art Thou at this time restoring the kingdom to Israel? ⁷ Yet He said to them, "Not yours is it to know times or eras which the Father placed in His own jurisdiction."

⁸ `For thus said Yahweh of Hosts, Elohim of Israel, Let not your prophets who [are] in your midst, and your diviners, lift you up, nor hearken you unto their dreams, that you are causing [them] to dream;"

² saying: "Repent! for near is the kingdom of the heavens!"

¹⁷ Thenceforth begins Jesus to be heralding and saying, "Repent! for near is the kingdom of the heavens!"

⁴ And, answering, Jesus said to them, "Beware that no one should be deceiving you." ⁵ For many shall be coming in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ!' and shall be deceiving many."

¹¹ And many false prophets shall be roused, and shall be deceiving many."

²³ Then, if anyone should be saying to you, 'Lo! here is the Christ! or 'Here!' you should not be believing it." ²⁴ For roused shall be false christs and false prophets, and they shall be giving great signs and miracles, so as to deceive, if possible, even the chosen." ²⁵ Lo! I have declared it to you beforehand.

⁵ Now Jesus, answering, begins to say to them, "Beware that no one should be deceiving you!" ⁶ For many shall be coming in My name, saying that I am! and shall be deceiving many."

²¹ And then, if anyone should be saying to you, 'Lo! Here is the Christ!' and 'Lo! There!', be not believing." ²² For roused shall be false christs and false prophets, and they shall be giving signs and miracles to lead astray, if possible, even the chosen." ²³ Now you, beware! Lo! I have declared it all to you beforehand."

²³ And they shall be declaring to you, 'Lo! there!' or 'Lo! here!' You may not come away, nor yet should you be pursuing."

⁴³ I have come in the name of My Father, and you are not getting Me. If another should be coming in his own name, him you will get."

²⁴ I said, then, to you, that you shall be dying in your sins. For if ever you should not be believing Me that I am, you shall be dying in your sins."

³⁶ For before these days rose Theudas, saying that he is somebody himself, to whom men numbering about four hundred inclined, who was assassinated, and all, whoever were persuaded by him, were disbanded, and came to nothing." ³⁷ After this, one rose, Judas, the Galilean, in the days of the registration, and draws away people after him, and he perished, and all, whoever were persuaded by him, are scattered."

⁹ Yet, before this, a certain man named Simon existed in the city by using magic and amazing the nation of Samaria, saying himself to be some great one, ¹⁰ whom they all heeded, from the small to the great, saying, "This man is the power of the god which is called Great."

¹³ For such are false apostles, fraudulent workers, being transfigured into apostles of Christ. " ¹⁴ And no marvel, for Satan himself is being transfigured into a messenger of light. " ¹⁵ It is no great thing, then, if his servants also are being transfigured as dispensers of righteousness - whose consummation shall be according to their acts. "

⁶ Let no one be seducing you with empty words, for because of these things the indignation of God is coming on the sons of stubbornness."

³ No one should be deluding you by any method, for, should not the apostasy be coming first and the man of lawlessness be unveiled, the son of destruction,

⁹ whose presence is in accord with the operation of Satan, with all power and signs and false miracles" ¹⁰ and with every seduction of injustice among those who are perishing, because they do not receive the love of the truth for their salvation." ¹¹ And therefore God will be sending them an operation of deception, for them to believe the falsehood,

¹³ Yet wicked men and swindlers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived."

¹ Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see if they are of God, for many false prophets have come out into the world."

⁷ for many deceivers came out into the world, who are not avowing Jesus Christ coming in flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist."

³ Happy is he who is reading and those who are hearing the word of the prophecy, and who are keeping that which is written in it, for the era is near."

⁹ And the great dragon was cast out, the ancient serpent called Adversary and Satan, who is deceiving the whole inhabited earth. It was cast into the earth, and its messengers were cast with it."

¹ {Davidic{ Yahweh is my Light and my Salvation; Whom should I fear? Yahweh is the Stronghold of my life; Of whom should I be afraid? ² When evildoers drew near against me To devour my flesh, They who were to me my foes and my enemies, They stumbled and fell." ³ Though an armed force should encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; Though war should rise up against me, In spite of this I am trusting."

¹ {For the Sons of Korah{ {Concerning the Eons{ {A Song{ Elohim is our Refuge and Strength, A very providing Help in distresses." ² Therefore, we shall not fear when the earth is made to change, Or when the mountains slide into the heart of the seas."

⁷ He shall not fear an evil report; His heart is established, trusting in Yahweh."

²⁵ You shall certainly not fear sudden alarm Or the ruination of the wicked that is coming; ²⁶ For Yahweh Himself shall be your confidence, And He will keep your foot from seizure."

¹² You shall not say what is obstinate, for all that this people are saying is obstinacy. And you shall not fear their fear nor be terrified."

¹² I, I am He, your Comforter. Who are you, that you are fearing a mortal who is dying, and a son of Adam who as grass is drying? ¹³ And you are forgetting Yahweh, your Maker, the One Who stretches out the heavens, and Founder of the earth. And you are afraid continually, the entire day, in view of the fury of the constrainer? As he prepares to ruin. Yet where is the fury of the constrainer?

¹⁹ My bowels, my bowels! I am pained [at] the walls of my heart, Make a noise for me does My heart, I am not silent, For the voice of a trumpet I have heard, O my soul--a shout of battle!" ²⁰ Destruction on destruction is proclaimed, For spoiled has been all the land, Suddenly spoiled have been my tents, In a moment--my curtains."

⁶ Yet you shall be about to be hearing battles, and tidings of battles. See that you are not alarmed, for it must be occurring; but not as yet is the consummation." ⁷ For roused shall be a nation against a nation, and a kingdom against a kingdom, and there shall be famines and quakes in places." ⁸ Yet all these are the beginning of pangs.

⁷ Now whenever you should be hearing battles and tidings of battles, see that you are not alarmed, for it must be occurring, but not as yet is the consummation." ⁸ For roused shall be nation against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there shall be quakes in places. And there shall be famines and disturbances."

⁸ Now He said, "Beware that you may not be deceived, for many shall be coming in My name, saying that I am!' and 'The season is near!' You may not, then, be going after them."

¹⁸ And a hair of your head should by no means be perishing. ¹⁹ By your endurance shall you be acquiring your souls.

²⁸ Now at the beginning of these occurrences, unbend and lift up your heads, because your deliverance is drawing near."

⁵ and in those times there is no peace to him who is going out, and to him who is coming in, for many troubles [are] on all the inhabitants of the lands, ⁶ and they have been beaten down, nation by nation, and city by city, for Elohim has troubled them with every adversity;"

² And I tangle Egypt with Egypt, and they will fight, each man against his brother, and each man against his associate. And city shall rouse against city, kingdom against kingdom."

²¹ Speak to Zerubbabel, son of Shealtiel, viceroy of Judah, saying:I am quaking the heavens and the earth, and the sea and the drained land." ²² And I will overturn the thrones of kingdoms, and I will exterminate the steadfastness of the kingdoms of the nations, and overturn the chariot and its riders, and the horses and their riders go down, each man by the sword of his brother."

² Yet I will gather all nations to Jerusalem to battle, and the city shall be seized, and the houses are rifled, and the women ravished. And half the city shall fare forth into deportation. Yet the rest of My people shall not be cut off from the city." ³ Then Yahweh shall fare forth and fight against those nations, as the day He fought in the day of attack."

¹³ And it comes to be in that day, much discomfiture is coming from Yahweh among them. And they take fast hold, each to the hand of his associate. Yet his hand will come up against the hand of his associate."

⁸ For roused shall be nation against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there shall be quakes in places. And there shall be famines and disturbances."

¹⁹ And I will give miracles in heaven above, And signs on the earth below, Blood and fire and vapor pillars of smoke, ²⁰ The sun shall be converted into darkness And the moon into blood Ere the coming of the day of the Lord, The great and advent day."

²⁸ Now one of them, named Agabus, rising, signifies through the spirit, the great famine which is about to be on the whole inhabited earth, which occurred under Claudius."

²⁷ Now the "Still once moreis making evident the transference of that which is being shaken, as of that having been made, that what is not being shaken would be remaining."

² And I perceived, and lo! a white horse, and he who is sitting on it has a bow, and to him was given a wreath. And he came forth conquering and that he should be conquering." ³ And when It opens the second seal, I hear the second animal saying, "Come!" ⁴ And forth came another horse, fiery-red, and to him who is sitting on it was given to take peace out of the earth, and that they should be slaying one another. And a huge sword was given to him." ⁵ And when It opens the third seal, I hear the third animal saying, "Come!And I perceived and lo! a black horse, and he who is sitting on it has a pair of balances in his hand." ⁶ And I hear as it were a voice in the midst of the four animals saying, "A choenix of wheat a denarius, and three choenix of barley a denarius, and the oil and the wine you should not be injuring!" ⁷ And when It opens the fourth seal, I hear the voice of the fourth animal saying, "Come!" ⁸ And I perceived, and lo! a greenish horse, and the name of him who is sitting upon it is Death, and the Unseen followed him. And jurisdiction was given them over the fourth of the earth, to kill with the blade and with famine and with death and by the wild beasts of the earth." ⁹ And when It opens the fifth seal, I perceived underneath the altar the souls of those who have been slain because of the word of God and because of the testimony which they had." ¹⁰ And they cry with a loud voice, saying, "Till when, O Owner, holy and true, art Thou not judging and avenging our blood on those dwelling on the earth? ¹¹ And to each of them was given a white robe, and it was declared to them that they should be resting still a little time, till their number should be completed by their fellow slaves also, and their brethren, who are about to be killed even as they were." ¹² And I perceived, when It opens the sixth seal, and a great cataclysm occurred, and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the whole moon became as blood,

²⁹ Now immediately after the affliction of those days the sun shall be darkened and the moon shall not be giving her beams, and the stars shall be falling from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken." ³⁰ And then shall appear the sign of the Son of Mankind in heaven, and then all the tribes of the land shall grieve, and they shall see the Son of Mankind coming on the clouds of heaven with power and much glory."

²⁵ And there shall be signs in the sun and the moon and the constellations, and on the earth pressure of nations in perplexity, at the resounding of the sea and the shaking, ²⁶ at the chilling of men from fear and apprehensiveness of that which is coming on the inhabited earth, for the powers of the heavens shall be shaken." ²⁷ And then they shall be seeing the Son of Mankind coming in a cloud with power and much glory.

¹⁶ Lo! I am dispatching you as a sheep in the midst of wolves. Become, then, prudent as serpents and artless as doves." ¹⁷ Now take heed of men, for they will be giving you up to Sanhedrins, and in their synagogues will they be scourging you." ¹⁸ Now before governors and kings also shall you be led on My account, for a testimony to them and to the nations." ¹⁹ Now, whenever they may be giving you up, you should not be worrying about how or what you should be speaking, for it shall be given you in that hour what you should be speaking, ²⁰ for not you are speaking, but the spirit of your Father is speaking in you." ²¹ Now brother shall be giving up brother to death, and father, child, and children shall be rising up against parents, and shall be putting them to death." ²² And you shall be hated by all because of My name. Yet he who endures to the consummation, he shall be saved." ²³ Now, whenever they may be persecuting you in this city, flee into a different one, for, verily, I am saying to you, Under no circumstances should you be finishing the cities of Israel till the Son of Mankind may be coming." ²⁴ A disciple is not above his teacher, neither a slave above his lord." ²⁵ Sufficient is it for the disciple that he may be becoming as his teacher, and the slave as his lord. If they surname the householder Beezeboul, how much rather those of his household."

⁶ Yet the rest, taking hold of his slaves, outrage and kill them."

³⁴ Therefore, lo! I am dispatching to you prophets and wise men and scribes. Of them, some you will be killing and crucifying, and of them, some you will be scourging in your synagogues and persecuting from city to city, ³⁵ so that on you should be coming all the just blood shed on the earth, from the blood of just Abel until the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom you murder between the temple and the altar." ³⁶ Verily, I am saying to you: All these things will be arriving on this generation."

⁹ Then shall they be giving you up to affliction, and they shall be killing you, and you shall be hated by all of the nations because of My name." ¹⁰ And then many shall be snared, and they shall be giving one another up and hating one another."

⁹ The beginning of pangs are these. Yet you be looking to yourselves, for they shall be giving you up to the sanhedrins, and in synagogues shall you be lashed, and before governors and even kings shall you stand on My account, for a testimony to them." ¹⁰ And to all the nations first must be heralded the evangel. ¹¹ And whenever they may be leading you off, to give you over, do not worry beforehand what you should be speaking, neither be meditating, but whatsoever may be given to you in that hour, this be speaking, for it is not you who are speaking, but the holy spirit." ¹² And brother will be giving up brother to death, and father, child. And children shall be rising up against parents and shall be putting them to death." ¹³ And you shall be hated by all because of My name. Yet he who endures to the consummation, he shall be saved."

⁴⁹ Therefore, also, God's Wisdom said, 'I shall be dispatching to them prophets and apostles, and some of them they will be killing and banishing,'" ⁵⁰ that the blood of all the prophets which is shed from the disruption of the world may be exacted from this generation, ⁵¹ from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who perished between the altar and the house. Yea, I am saying to you, It will be exacted from this generation!"

²⁰ Remember the word which I said to you, 'A slave is not greater than his lord.' If Me they persecute, you they will be persecuting also. If My word they keep, yours also will they be keeping."

² for they will be putting you out of the synagogues; but coming is the hour that everyone who is killing you should suppose he is offering divine service to God. ³ And these things will they be doing to you, for they know not the Father nor even Me."

³ And they laid hands on them, and they were placed in custody for the morrow, for it was already dusk." ⁴ Now many of those who hear the word, believe, and the number of men became about five thousand." ⁵ Now it occurred on the morrow that their chiefs and the elders and the scribes gathered in Jerusalem, ⁶ and Hannas, the chief priest, and Caiaphas and John and Alexander, and whoever were of the chief priestly race." ⁷ And, standing them in the midst, they inquired to ascertain, "By what power or in what name do you do this?

¹⁷ Now when the chief priest and all those with him rise (being the sect of the Sadducees), they are filled with jealousy, ¹⁸ and laid hands on the apostles and place them in public custody. ¹⁹ Yet a messenger of the Lord, during the night, opens the doors of the jail. Besides, leading them out, he said,

⁴⁰ Now they are persuaded by him, and, calling the apostles to them, and lashing them, they charge them not to be speaking in the name of Jesus, and release them."

¹² They stir up the people as well as the elders and the scribes, and standing by, they grip him, and led him into the Sanhedrin." ¹³ Besides, they put false witnesses on the stand, who say, "This man does not cease speaking, making declarations against this holy place and the law, ¹⁴ for we have heard him saying that this Jesus the Nazarene will be demolishing this place and will be changing the customs which Moses gives over to us." ¹⁵ And looking intently at him, all those seated in the Sanhedrin perceived his face as if it were the face of a messenger."

⁵⁷ Now, crying with a loud voice, they pressed their ears and rush on him with one accord." ⁵⁸ And, casting him out, outside of the city, they pelted him with stones. And the witnesses put off their garments at the feet of a young man called Saul." ⁵⁹ And they pelted Stephen with stones, while he is invoking and saying, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit!" ⁶⁰ Now, kneeling, he cries with a loud voice, "Lord, Thou shouldst not stand against them this sin!And saying this, he was put to repose."

³ Now Saul devastated the ecclesia; going into the homes, dragging out both men and women, he gave them over to jail."

⁴ And falling on the earth, he hears a voice saying to him, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?

¹ Now at that season Herod the king put forth his hands to illtreat some from the ecclesia. ² Now he assassinated James, the brother of John, with the sword." ³ Now perceiving that it is pleasing to the Jews, he proceeded to apprehend Peter also (now they were the days of unleavened bread), ⁴ whom, arresting also, he placed in jail, giving him over to four quaternions of soldiers to guard him, intending after the Passover to lead him up to the people."

²² And the throng assailed them, and the officers, tearing off their garments, ordered them to be flogged with rods." ²³ Besides, placing on them many blows, they cast them into jail, charging the warden to keep them securely, ²⁴ who, getting such a charge, casts them into the interior jail, and secures their feet in the stocks." ²⁵ Now at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and sang hymns to God. Now the prisoners listened to them. ²⁶ Now suddenly a great quake occurred, so that the foundations of the prison are shaken. Now instantly all the doors were opened, and the bonds of all were slacked."

³⁰ Besides, stirred was the whole city, and there came to be a running together of the people. And getting hold of Paul, they drew him outside of the sanctuary, and immediately the doors are locked." ³¹ And while they are seeking to kill him, the allegation came up to the captain of the squadron that the whole of Jerusalem is in confusion,

³⁰ Now on the morrow, resolved to know the certainty of that of which he is being accused by the Jews, he looses him and orders the chief priests and the entire Sanhedrin to come together. And, leading Paul down, he stands him among them."

¹ Now after five days, Ananias, the chief priest, descended with some elders and an orator, a certain Tertullus, who inform the governor against Paul." ² Now at his being called, Tertullus begins to accuse him, saying, "Happening upon much peace through you, and reforms in this nation coming to be through your providence, ³ both in every way and everywhere, we are welcoming it, most mighty Felix, with all thankfulness." ⁴ Now, lest I may be hindering you still more, I am entreating you to hear us concisely in your leniency." ⁵ For, finding this man a pestilence and stirrer of insurrections among all the Jews who are on the inhabited earth, besides a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes, ⁶ who tries to profane the sanctuary also, of whom we lay hold also, ⁷ -⁸ from whom you yourself will, by examining him, be able to recognize all of these things concerning which we are accusing him." ⁹ Now the Jews also agreed, alleging these things to have been thus."

¹ Festus, then, stepping into the prefecture, after three days went up to Jerusalem from Caesarea." ² Besides, the chief priests and the foremost of the Jews inform him against Paul, and they entreated him,

¹¹ If, indeed, then, I am injuring, and I have committed anything deserving of death, I am not refusing to die. Yet if there is nothing in that of which these are accusing me, no one can surrender me to them as a favor. To Caesar am I appealing!" ¹² Then Festus, conferring with the council, answered, "To Caesar have you appealed. To Caesar shall you go!"

²² Now Agrippa to Festus: "I myself also intended to hear the man."Tomorrow,he is averring, "you shall hear him." ²³ On the morrow, then, at Agrippa and Bernice's coming with much pageantry and entering the audience chamber together, besides captains and prominent men of the city, and at Festus' order, Paul was led forth." ²⁴ And Festus is averring, "King Agrippa, and all men present with us, you are beholding this man concerning whom the entire multitude of the Jews pled with me, both in Jerusalem and in this place, imploring that he must not by any means be living longer." ²⁵ Now I grasped that he has committed nothing deserving of death, yet as he himself appeals to the Imperial judge, I decide to send him -"

² Concerning all that which I am being indicted by the Jews, king Agrippa, I have deemed myself happy to be about to make my defense before you today, ³ especially as you are an expert, versed in all, both the customs and questions of the Jews. Wherefore I beseech you to hear me patiently." ⁴ My life, indeed, then, from youth, which came to be from the beginning among my nation, besides in Jerusalem, all the Jews are acquainted with, ⁵ knowing me before, from the very first, if they should be willing to testify, that, according to the strictest sect of this ritual of ours, I live a Pharisee." ⁶ And now, in expectation of the promise which came by God to our fathers, ⁷ I stand being judged, to which our twelve-tribed people, earnestly offering divine service night and day, is expecting to attain. Concerning which expectation I am being indicted by Jews, O King!" ⁸ Why is it being judged unbelievable by you, if God is rousing the dead? ⁹ I, indeed, then, suppose myself bound to commit much contrary to the name of Jesus the Nazarene, which I do also in Jerusalem." ¹⁰ And besides, many of the saints I lock up in jails, obtaining authority from the chief priests. Besides, I deposit a ballot to despatch them." ¹¹ And at all the synagogues, often punishing them, I compelled them to blaspheme. Besides, being exceedingly maddened against them, I persecuted them as far as the outside cities also."

¹⁵ who kill the Lord Jesus as well as the prophets, and banish us, and are not pleasing to God, and are contrary to all men, ¹⁶ forbidding us to speak to the nations that they may be saved, to fill up their sins always. Yet the indignation outstrips to them to a consummation."

¹³ You may be subject to every human creation because of the Lord, whether to the king, as a superior,

¹² Beloved, do not think strange the conflagration among you, which is becoming a trial to you, as of something strange befalling you, ¹³ but, according as you are participating in the sufferings of Christ, rejoice, that you may be rejoicing, exulting in the unveiling of His glory also." ¹⁴ If you are being reproached in the name of Christ, happy are you, for the spirit of glory and power, and that of God, has come to rest on you."

¹⁰ Fear nothing that you are about to be suffering. Lo! the Adversary is about to be casting some of you into jail that you may be tried, and you will be having affliction ten days. Become faithful until death, and I shall be giving you the wreath of life."

¹² Now I am intending you to know, brethren, that my affairs have rather come to be for the progress of the evangel,

²⁸ and not being startled by those who are opposing in anything, which is to them a proof of destruction, yet of your salvation, and this from God,

³ No one is to be swayed by these afflictions, for you yourselves are aware that we are located for this." ⁴ For even when we were with you, we predicted to you that "we are about to be afflicted,according as it came to be also, and you are aware."

⁵ a display of the just judging of God, to deem you worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering also,

¹⁹ Now, whenever they may be giving you up, you should not be worrying about how or what you should be speaking, for it shall be given you in that hour what you should be speaking, ²⁰ for not you are speaking, but the spirit of your Father is speaking in you."

¹¹ And whenever they may be leading you off, to give you over, do not worry beforehand what you should be speaking, neither be meditating, but whatsoever may be given to you in that hour, this be speaking, for it is not you who are speaking, but the holy spirit."

¹¹ Now whenever they may be bringing you before the synagogues and the chiefs and the authorities, you should not be worrying about how or what your defense should be or what you may say, ¹² for the holy spirit will be teaching you in the same hour what you must be saying."

¹¹ Yahweh said to him: Who make the mouth for a human or Who is making one mute or deaf or with eye unclosed or blind? Is it not I, Yahweh? ¹² And now go, and I shall come to be with your mouth and direct you what you shall speak.

⁶ For Yahweh Himself gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and comprehension;

⁹ And Yahweh puts forth His hand, and strikes against my mouth, and Yahweh said unto me, `Lo, I have put my words in your mouth."

¹² for the holy spirit will be teaching you in the same hour what you must be saying."

⁴⁵ Then He opens up their mind to understand the scriptures,

⁴ And they are all filled with holy spirit, and they begin to speak in different languages, according as the spirit gave them to declaim."

⁸ Then Peter, being filled with holy spirit, said to them, "Chiefs of the people and elders!" ⁹ If we today are being examined as to the benefaction to the infirm man, by what he has been saved, ¹⁰ let it be known to you all and to the entire people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ, the Nazarene, Whom you crucify, Whom God rouses from among the dead, in this name, this man stands by before you sound." ¹¹ This is the Stone that is being scorned by you builders, which is becoming the head of the corner." ¹² And there is no salvation in any other one, for neither is there any other name, given under heaven among men, in which we must be saved." ¹³ Now on beholding the boldness of Peter and John, and grasping that they are unlettered and plain men, they marveled. Besides, they recognized them, that they were with Jesus."

³¹ And at their beseeching, shaken was the place in which they were gathered, and they are all filled with the holy spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness." ³² Now the multitude of those who believe were of one heart and soul, and not even one said that any of his possessions are his own, but it was all theirs in common." ³³ And with great power the apostles rendered testimony to the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Lord. Besides, great grace was on them all,

¹⁰ And they were not strong enough to withstand the wisdom and the spirit with which he spoke.

²⁵ Now as he is arguing concerning righteousness, and self-control, and the impending judgment, Felix, becoming affrighted, answered, "Now go. Yet, given occasion, I shall be calling for you,

²⁸ Yet Agrippa to Paul: "Briefly are you persuading me, to make me a Christian!"

¹⁹ and for me), that to me expression may be granted, in the opening of my mouth with boldness, to make known the secret of the evangel,

³ praying at the same time concerning us also, that God should be opening for us a door of the word, to speak the secret of Christ, because of which I am bound also, ⁴ that I should be making it manifest, as I must speak."

¹⁶ At my first defense no one came along with me, but all forsook me." ¹⁷ May it not be reckoned against them! Yet the Lord stood beside me, and He invigorates me, that through me the heralding may be fully discharged, and all the nations should hear; and I am rescued out of the mouth of the lion."

⁵ Now if anyone of you is lacking wisdom, let him be requesting it from God, Who is giving to all generously and is not reproaching, and it shall be given to him."

⁴ Each of his friend--beware you, And on any brother, do not trust, For every brother does utterly supplant, For every friend slanderously does walk,

⁶ For even your brethren and the house of your father, Even they dealt treacherously against you, Even they--they called after you fully, Trust not in them, when they speak to you good things."

⁵ You must not believe in an associate. You must not trust in a mentor. From her who is lying in your bosom, keep the portals of your mouth, ⁶ for the son is disgracing the father, the daughter is rising against her mother, the daughter-in-law against her husband's mother. The enemies of a man are all the mortals of his house."

²¹ Now brother shall be giving up brother to death, and father, child, and children shall be rising up against parents, and shall be putting them to death."

⁵³ father against son and son against father, and mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law."

⁵⁹ And they pelted Stephen with stones, while he is invoking and saying, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit!"

² Now he assassinated James, the brother of John, with the sword."

¹³ '"I am aware where you are dwelling-where the throne of Satan is-and you are holding My name, and do not disown My faith in the days in which Antipas, My faithful witness, was killed among you, where Satan is dwelling."

⁹ And when It opens the fifth seal, I perceived underneath the altar the souls of those who have been slain because of the word of God and because of the testimony which they had."

¹¹ And they conquer him through the blood of the Lambkin, and through the word of their testimony, and they love not their soul, until death."

¹¹ "Happy are you whenever they should be reproaching and persecuting you and, falsifying, saying every wicked thing against you, on my account.

²² And you shall be hated by all because of My name. Yet he who endures to the consummation, he shall be saved."

⁹ Then shall they be giving you up to affliction, and they shall be killing you, and you shall be hated by all of the nations because of My name."

²² Happy are you whenever men should be hating you, and whenever they should be severing from you and reproaching you and casting out your name as wicked, on account of the Son of Mankind."

⁷ The world can not be hating you, yet Me it is hating, for I am testifying concerning it that its acts are wicked."

¹⁹ If you were of the world, the world would be fond of its own. Now, seeing that you are not of the world, but I choose you out of the world, therefore the world is hating you."

²¹ But all these things will they be doing to you because of My name, seeing that they are not acquainted with Him Who sends Me."

¹⁴ I have given them Thy word. And the world hates them, for they are not of the world, according as I am not of the world."

¹⁶ for I shall be intimating to him how much he must be suffering for My name's sake."

⁵ For we are not heralding ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, yet ourselves your slaves because of Jesus,

¹¹ For we who are living are ever being given up to death because of Jesus, that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our mortal flesh."

¹⁰ Wherefore I delight in infirmities, in outrages, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake, for, whenever I may be weak, then I am powerful. "

²⁹ for to you it is graciously granted, for Christ's sake, not only to be believing on Him, but to be suffering for His sake also,

¹⁴ If you are being reproached in the name of Christ, happy are you, for the spirit of glory and power, and that of God, has come to rest on you."

³ and you have endurance, and you bear because of My name, and are not wearied."

⁴⁵ And the people say unto Saul, `Does Jonathan die who wrought this great salvation in Israel? --a profanation! Yahweh lives, if there falls from the hair of his head to the earth, for with Elohim he has wrought this day;' and the people rescue Jonathan, and he has not died.

²⁹ And man rises to pursue you and to seek your soul, and the soul of my lord has been bound in the bundle of life with Yahweh your Elohim; as to the soul of your enemies, He does sling them out in the midst of the hollow of the sling.

¹¹ And she said, `Let, I pray you, the king remember by Yahweh your Elohim, that the redeemer of blood add not to destroy, and they destroy not my son;' and he said, `Yahweh lives; if there does fall of the hair of your son to the earth..

³⁰ Now of your head even the hairs are all numbered.

⁷ But even the hairs of your head have all been numbered. Then do not fear! You are of more consequence than many sparrows.

³⁴ Wherefore I am entreating you to partake of nourishment, for this belongs to this salvation of yours, for not a hair from the head of one of you shall perish."

¹³ I believe that I will see the goodness of Yahweh in the land of the living. ¹⁴ Be expectant toward Yahweh; Be steadfast, and let your heart be resolute. Yea, be expectant toward Yahweh."

⁷ Be still before Yahweh, and wait for Him; Do not grow hot because someone prospers his way, Because a man is carrying out his schemes;"

¹ {A Davidic Psalm{ Expectantly I have expected Yahweh, And He stretched out to me and heard my imploring;"

¹³ Yet he who endures to the consummation, he shall be saved."

¹⁵ Now that in the ideal earth, these are they who, in a heart ideal and good, hearing the word, are retaining it and are bearing fruit with endurance."

⁷ to those, indeed, who by endurance in good acts are seeking glory and honor and incorruption, life eonian;"

³ Yet not only so, but we may be glorying also in afflictions, having perceived that affliction is producing endurance,

²⁵ Now, if we are expecting what we are not observing, we are awaiting it with endurance."

⁴ For whatever was written before, was written for this teaching of ours, that through the endurance and the consolation of the scriptures we may have expectation."

³ unintermittingly remembering your work of faith and toil of love and endurance of expectation of our Lord Jesus Christ, in front of our God and Father,

⁵ Now may the Lord be directing your hearts into the love of God and into the endurance of Christ!

¹¹ Now we are yearning for each one of you to be displaying the same diligence toward the assurance of the expectation until the consummation,

¹⁵ And thus, being patient, he happened on the promise."

³⁶ for you have need of endurance that, doing the will of God, you should be requited with the promise."

³ knowing that the testing of your faith is producing endurance.

⁷ Be patient, then, brethren, till the presence of the Lord. Lo! the farmer is waiting for the precious fruit of the land, being patient about it, till it should be getting the early and late showers." ⁸ You also, then, be patient; establish your hearts, for the presence of the Lord is near." ⁹ Be not groaning, brethren, against one another, lest you may be judged. Lo! the Judge stands before the doors." ¹⁰ Be taking, my brethren, the example of suffering evil and patience you have: the prophets who speak in the name of the Lord." ¹¹ Lo! we are counting those happy who endure. You hear of the endurance of Job, and you perceived the consummation of the Lord, for very compassionate and pitiful is the Lord."

⁹ I, John, your brother and joint participant in the affliction and kingdom and endurance in Jesus Christ, came to be in the island called Patmos, because of the word of God, and because of the testimony of Jesus Christ."

² I am aware of your acts, and your toil, and your endurance, and that you can not bear evil men, and you try those saying that they themselves are apostles, and they are not, and you found them false;" ³ and you have endurance, and you bear because of My name, and are not wearied."

¹⁰ Seeing that you keep the word of My endurance, I, also, will be keeping you out of the hour of trial which is about to be coming on the whole inhabited earth to try those dwelling on the earth."

¹⁰ If anyone is for captivity, into captivity he is going. If anyone will be killing with the sword, he must with the sword be killed. Here is the endurance and faith of the saints."

¹² Here is the endurance of the saints, who are keeping the precepts of God and the faith of Jesus."

²⁷ Then he will be master of a covenant with many for one seven:At half of the seven, he will cause to cease the sacrifice and the approach present; on a wing of the sanctuary shall be desolating abominations. Till the conclusion of the era the decided conclusion will be poured forth on the desolation."

¹⁵ Whenever, then, you may be perceiving the abomination of desolation, which is declared through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let him who is reading apprehend!);"

⁴³ for the days will be arriving on you, and your enemies will be casting up a rampart about you, and will be surrounding you, and will be pressing you everywhere,

⁷ Now they inquire of Him, saying, "Teacher, when, then, will these things be, and what is the sign whenever these things may be about to be occurring?

¹⁷ And coming is it, as they bring them forth outside. They are saying also, "Be sure to escape with your soul! You must not look behind you, and you must not stand in any part of the basin. Escape to the mountain, lest you be swept up!"

²⁶ Yet looking back is his wife from behind him, and becoming is she a monument of salt.

²⁰ The one fearful of the word of Yahweh among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee to the houses. ²¹ Yet he who was not setting his heart on the word of Yahweh, forsook his servants and his cattle in the field.

²⁶ He spoke to the congregation, saying:Withdraw, I pray, from the tents of these wicked men! Do not touch anything which belongs to them lest you be swept up in all their sins.

³ A prudent man sees peril and conceals himself, Yet the simple pass along and are mulcted."

¹ Strengthen yourselves, sons of Benjamin, From the midst of Jerusalem, And in Tekoa blow you a trumpet, And over Beth-Haccerem lift you up a flame, For evil has been seen from the north, And great destruction."

¹¹ and it comes to pass, in the coming up of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon unto the land, that we say, Come, and we enter Jerusalem, because of the force of the Chaldeans, and because of the force of Aram--and we dwell in Jerusalem.'"

¹² that Jeremiah goes out from Jerusalem to go [to] the land of Benjamin, to receive a portion thence in the midst of the people."

¹⁶ then let those in Judea flee into the mountains.

¹⁵ Now let him who is on the housetop not be descending into the house, neither let him enter, to pick up anything out of his house."

³¹ In that day, he who shall be on the housetop and his gear in his house, let him not be descending to pick it up. And let the one in the field likewise not turn back to that behind him." ³² Remember Lot's wife. ³³ Whosoever should be seeking to procure his soul will be destroying it, yet whoever should be destroying it will cause it to live."

⁴ And I hear another voice out of heaven, saying, "Come out of her, My people, lest you should be joint participants in her sins, and lest you should be getting of her calamities,

¹⁴ Yet if you neither hearken to Me nor observe all these instructions, ¹⁵ and if you reject My statutes, and if your soul loathes My judgments so as not to observe all My instructions, to cause you to annul My covenant, ¹⁶ indeed, I Myself shall do this to you:I will visit panic upon you, attenuation and fever, making the eyesight vanish and causing the soul to pine; and you will sow your seed for naught, for your enemies will eat it. ¹⁷ I will set My face against you, and you will be struck down before your enemies; those hating you will hold sway over you, and you will flee even when there is no one pursuing you. ¹⁸ And if, after these things, you should not hearken to Me, then I will continue to discipline you sevenfold for your sins. ¹⁹ I will break the pomp of your strength and make your heavens like iron and your land like copper. ²⁰ Your vigor will be spent for naught, and your land shall not give its crop, and the tree of the field shall not give its fruit. ²¹ If you go contrary to Me and are not willing to hearken to Me, then I will add smitings to you sevenfold according to your sins. ²² I will send the animal of the field against you, and it will bereave you, cut off your domestic beasts and so decrease you that your roads will be desolated. ²³ If by these you should not be disciplined for Me and go contrary to Me, ²⁴ then I will, indeed, go contrary to you, and I Myself will even smite you sevenfold for your sins. ²⁵ I will bring the sword on you avenging the vengeance of the covenant. When you will be gathered into your cities then I will send the plague into your midst, and you will be given into the hand of the enemy. ²⁶ When I break the stock of bread for you then ten women will bake your bread in one stove and return your bread by weight so that you will eat and not be satisfied. ²⁷ If by this you should not hearken to Me and go contrary to Me, ²⁸ then I will go contrary to you in fury. And I Myself, indeed, will discipline you sevenfold for your sins. ²⁹ You will eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall you eat. ³⁰ I will exterminate your fane heights, cut down your incense stands and bestow your corpses upon the corpses of your idol clods; thus My soul will loathe you. ³¹ I will turn your cities into a desert and make your sanctuary desolate; I shall not smell your fragrant odor. ³² I will make the land so desolate, that your enemies, the ones dwelling in it, will be dejected over it. ³³ And you I shall winnow among the nations, and I will unsheathe a sword after you so that your land will become a desolation and your cities become a desert.

¹⁵ It will come to be if you do not hearken to the voice of Yahweh your Elohim to observe and to do all His instructions and His statutes that I am enjoining on you today, that all these maledictions will come on you and overtake you. ¹⁶ Cursed be you in the city, and cursed be you in the field. ¹⁷ Cursed be your basket and your kneading-trough. ¹⁸ Cursed be the fruit of your belly, the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your beast, the calving of your domestic animals and the lambing of your flock. ¹⁹ Cursed be you in your coming in, and cursed be you in your going forth. ²⁰ Yahweh shall send the curse, the discomfiture and the rebuke on you in every undertaking of your hand that you shall do, until you are exterminated and you perish quickly, in view of the evil of your actions in which you have forsaken Me. ²¹ Yahweh shall cause the plague to cling to you until He finishes you off the ground where you are entering to tenant it. ²² Yahweh shall smite you with attenuation, with fever and inflammation, with hot heat and drought, with blasting and mildew, and they will pursue you until you perish. ²³ Your heavens that are over your head will come to be as copper, and the earth that is beneath you as iron. ²⁴ Yahweh shall make the rain of your land to be dust and soil-drifts; from the heavens it shall descend on you until you are exterminated. ²⁵ Yahweh shall make you to be struck down before your enemies. By a single road shall you go forth to them, and by seven roads shall you flee before them. So you will become an object of commotion to all the kingdoms of the earth. ²⁶ Your carcass will become food for every flyer of the heavens and for the beast of the earth, and there will be no one causing them to tremble. ²⁷ Yahweh shall smite you with the boil of Egypt, with piles, with eczema and with the itch, from which you cannot be healed. ²⁸ Yahweh shall smite you with madness, with blindness and with derangement of heart;" ²⁹ and you will come to be groping at noon just as the blind one gropes in the gloom, and you shall not prosper in your ways and will only become extorted and pillaged all the days, and there will be no saviour. ³⁰ A wife shall you betroth, yet another man shall ravish her. A house shall you build, yet you shall not dwell in it. A vineyard shall you plant, yet you shall not take it for profane use. ³¹ Your bull shall be slaughtered before your eyes, yet you shall not eat of it. Your donkey shall be snatched from before you, yet it shall not return to you. Your flock shall be given to your enemies, yet there will be no saviour for you. ³² Your sons and your daughters shall be given to another people, and your eyes shall be staring and wasting away for them all the day, yet there will be nothing at the disposal of your hand. ³³ A people you do not know shall devour the fruit of your ground and all your labor, and you will surely be extorted and bruised all the days, ³⁴ so that you will become mad because of the sight of your eyes that you shall see. ³⁵ Yahweh shall smite you with an evil boil on both the knees and on both the legs, of which you cannot be healed, from the sole of your foot and unto your scalp. ³⁶ Yahweh shall conduct you and your king, whom you shall set up over you, to a nation whom you have not known, neither you nor your fathers, and you will serve there other elohim of wood and stone. ³⁷ You will become an object of astonishment, a proverb and a byword among all the peoples where Yahweh shall lead you. ³⁸ Much seed shall you bring forth to the field, yet little shall you gather, for the locust shall eat it up. ³⁹ You shall plant vineyards, and you will service them, yet you shall neither drink the wine, nor shall you hoard it, for the worm shall devour it. ⁴⁰ You shall come to have olives in all your territory, yet you shall not rub yourself with oil because your olives shall drop off. ⁴¹ You shall generate sons and daughters, yet they shall not become yours, for they shall go into captivity. ⁴² The cicada shall make all your trees and the fruit of your ground destitute. ⁴³ The sojourner who is among you shall ascend over you upward and upward, yet you shall descend downward and downward. ⁴⁴ He shall obligate you, yet you shall not obligate him. He shall become the head, and you shall become the tail. ⁴⁵ All the maledictions will come on you, and they will pursue you and overtake you until you are exterminated, for you would not hearken to the voice of Yahweh your Elohim to observe His instructions and His statutes that He enjoined on you. ⁴⁶ They will be a sign and a miracle against you and your seed until the eon. ⁴⁷ Inasmuch as you would not serve Yahweh your Elohim with rejoicing and with goodness of heart over the abundance of everything, ⁴⁸ then you will serve your enemies whom Yahweh shall send forth against you, in famine and in thirst, in nakedness and in lack of everything. He will put an iron yoke on your neck until He has exterminated you. ⁴⁹ Yahweh shall lift up against you a nation from afar, from the end of the earth, just as the vulture swoops down, a nation whose tongue you have not heard, ⁵⁰ a nation strong of face who neither lifts the face of the old one with partiality nor is gracious to the youth. ⁵¹ It will devour the fruit of your beast and the fruit of your ground until you are exterminated, a nation who shall not let grain, grape juice or clarified oil, the calving of your domestic animals or the lambing of your flock remain for you, until it destroys you. ⁵² It will lay siege against you in all your gates until your lofty and defended walls in which you will be trusting come down in all your land; and he will lay siege against you in all your gates in all your land that Yahweh your Elohim will have given to you. ⁵³ Then you will eat the fruit of your own belly, the flesh of your sons and your daughters whom Yahweh your Elohim will have given to you, in the siege and in the constraint with which your enemy shall constrain you. ⁵⁴ The tender-hearted man among you and the one very fastidious, his eye shall be evil toward his brother and toward the wife of his bosom and toward the rest of his sons whom he shall have left, ⁵⁵ so as to keep from giving to one of them the flesh of his sons that he is eating because nothing at all remains for him in the siege and in the constraint with which your enemy shall constrain you in all your gates. ⁵⁶ The tender-hearted woman among you, and the fastidious one, who would not try to put the sole of her foot on the earth because of fastidiousness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom and toward her son and toward her daughter, ⁵⁷ even for her afterbirth coming forth from between her feet, even for her sons whom she is bearing, for she shall eat them for lack of everything, in concealment during the siege and during the constraint with which your enemy shall constrain you in your gates. ⁵⁸ Should you not observe to obey all the words of this law, the ones written in this scroll, to fear the name of this glorified and fear-inspiring One, Yahweh your Elohim, ⁵⁹ then Yahweh will make your smitings and the smitings of your seed extraordinary:smitings that are great and constant, and illnesses that are bad and constant. ⁶⁰ Thus He will bring back to you every disease of Egypt from the presence of which you shrank away, and they will cling to you. ⁶¹ Moreover, every illness and every smiting that is not written in the scroll of this law, Yahweh shall bring them up on you until you are exterminated. ⁶² Thus you will remain few in adult males, whereas you would have become as the stars of the heavens for multitude, for you did not hearken to the voice of Yahweh your Elohim. ⁶³ So it will come to be, just as Yahweh was elated over you to bring you good and to let you increase, so Yahweh shall be elated over you to destroy you and to exterminate you, so that you will be swept away off the ground where you are entering to tenant it. ⁶⁴ And Yahweh will scatter you among all the peoples from one end of the earth unto the other end of the earth. There you will serve other elohim, those of wood and stone which you have not known, neither you nor your fathers. ⁶⁵ And among those nations you shall neither find respite, nor shall there be a resting place for the sole of your foot, and Yahweh will give to you there a disturbed heart, a failure of the eyes and pining of the soul. ⁶⁶ Then your lives will come to be hung in suspense in front of you. You will be afraid by night and by day, and you shall not put trust in your lives. ⁶⁷ In the morning you shall say:O that it were evening! And in the evening you shall say:O that it were morning! because of the awe of your heart with which you shall be afraid and because of the sight of your eyes which you shall see. ⁶⁸ Then Yahweh will bring you back complaining to Egypt by the way of which I said to you:You should not again see it further. There you will put yourselves up for sale to your enemies as servants and as maids, yet there will be no buyer.

¹⁹ And it will come to be when he hears the words of this imprecation that he will bless himself in his heart, saying:I shall come to have peace, though I am going in the obduracy of my own heart, seeing that the satiated may be swept up with the thirsty. ²⁰ Yahweh shall not be willing to pardon him, because then Yahweh's anger and His jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the imprecation that is written in this scroll will lie on him. Yahweh will wipe out his name from under the heavens;" ²¹ and Yahweh will separate him from all the tribes of Israel for the evil visitation according to all the imprecations of the covenant that is written in this scroll of the law. ²² The latter generation of your sons who shall rise after you and the foreigner who shall come from a country afar will ask, when they see the smitings of that land of yours and its ailments with which Yahweh has made it ill-. ²³ its whole land a burnt waste of sulfur and salt; it shall not be sown, neither shall it sprout, nor shall any herbage ascend in it, like the overturning of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, which Yahweh overturned in His anger and in His fury-. ²⁴ hence all the nations will ask:Why did Yahweh do thus to this land? Why the heat of this great anger? ²⁵ Then some will answer:Because they forsook the covenant of Yahweh Elohim of their fathers, that He had contracted with them when He brought them forth from the country of Egypt, ²⁶ for they went off and served other elohim and bowed themselves down to them, elohim whom they had neither known, nor had He apportioned for them. ²⁷ Hence the anger of Yahweh grew hot against that land so as to bring upon it all the malediction that is written in this scroll. ²⁸ So Yahweh plucked them up off their ground in anger, in fury and in great wrath, and He flung them into another country as it is this day.

³⁴ Is it not amassed with Me, sealed among My treasure.

⁴³ Jubilate, O heavens, together with Him, and worship Him, all the messengers of Elohim! Jubilate, O nations, with His people! For the blood of His servants shall He avenge, vengeance to His foes shall He return, and a propitiatory shelter shall He make for the ground of His people.

²² Let their table become a trap before them, And a repayment and a snare." ²³ Let their eyes be darkened, kept from seeing, And let their waist be bowed low continually." ²⁴ Pour out Your indignation upon them, And let Your hot anger overtake them." ²⁵ Let their domicile become desolate; Let no one be dwelling in their tents. ²⁶ As for You, they persecute those whom You have smitten, And they are recounting the pain of those wounded by You." ²⁷ Do bestow depravity on their depravity, And let them not come into Your righteousness." ²⁸ Let them be wiped out from the scroll of life, And let them not be written with the righteous."

⁷ To execute vengeance on the nations, Corrections on the national groups;" ⁸ To bind their kings with manacles And their glorious nobles with fetters of iron, ⁹ To execute the written judgment against them, This is the honor of all His benign ones. Praise Yah."

⁸ For a day of vengeance is it for Yahweh, a year of repayments for the contention of Zion."

² to herald an acceptable year for Yahweh, and a day of vengeance for our Elohim. To comfort all mourners,

⁴ For the day of vengeance came for them, and the year of My redeemed has come."

¹² I count you for the sword, and all of you for slaughter shall be hacked down. Because I called, yet you did not answer, I spoke, yet you did not hearken. And you are doing evil in My eyes. And what I do not desire, that you choose." ¹³ Therefore, thus says my Lord Yahweh, "Behold! My servants shall eat, yet you shall be famished. Behold! My servants shall drink, yet you shall thirst. Behold! My servants shall rejoice, yet you shall be ashamed." ¹⁴ Behold! My servants shall jubilate from a good heart, yet you shall cry from pain of heart, and from breaking of spirit shall you howl." ¹⁵ And you leave your name for an oath to My chosen.And you are put to death by my Lord Yahweh; yet He shall call His servants by another name." ¹⁶ The one blessing himself in the land, shall bless himself by the Elohim of truth, and the one swearing in the land, shall swear by the Elohim of truth. "For forgotten are the former distresses, for they are concealed also from My eyes."

⁶ Flee you from the midst of Babylon, And deliver you each his soul, Be not cut off in its iniquity, For a time of vengeance it [is] to Yahweh, Recompence He is rendering to her."

²⁴ Seventy sevens are segregated for your people and for your holy city:To detain transgression, to cause sin to end, to make a propitiatory shelter for depravity; to bring the righteousness of the eons, to seal the vision and the prophet, to anoint the holy of holies." ²⁵ And you shall know and be intelligent:From the faring forth of the word to cause a return and to rebuild Jerusalem--from then till Messiah the Governor is seven sevens, and sixty-two sevens. It will return and will be rebuilt, square and salient, even in eras of constraint."

⁷ The days of visitation shall come; the days of repayment shall come, and Israel shall know it. The prophet is foolish; the man of the spirit is mad on account of the multitude of your depravity, and the vast grudging."

¹ Open your doors, O Lebanon, and the fire shall devour among your cedars." ² Howl, fir tree, for the cedar falls, when the noble ones are devastated. Howl, oaks of Bashan, for the defended wildwood comes down." ³ The sound of the howling of the shepherds--for their nobility is devastated. The sound of the roaring of sheltered lions--for the pomp of the Jordan is devastated.

¹ Behold a day coming for Yahweh, and your loot shall be apportioned within you." ² Yet I will gather all nations to Jerusalem to battle, and the city shall be seized, and the houses are rifled, and the women ravished. And half the city shall fare forth into deportation. Yet the rest of My people shall not be cut off from the city."

¹ For behold! The day of Yahweh is coming, consuming as a stove, and it devours them. And all the arrogant and all doing wickedness become straw. And the coming day sets them aflame, says Yahweh of hosts, which will not leave to them root or bough."

²² Now the whole of this has occurred that that may be fulfilled which is declared by the Lord through the prophet, saying:

¹⁹ for in those days will be affliction such as has not occurred from the beginning of the creation which God creates till now, and under no circumstances may be occurring." ²⁰ And, except the Lord discounts the days, no flesh at all would be saved. But because of the chosen, whom He chooses, He discounts the days."

⁵ Yet, in accord with your hardness and unrepentant heart you are hoarding for yourself indignation in the day of indignation and revelation of the just judgment of God,

⁹ the Lord is acquainted with the rescue of the devout out of trial, yet is keeping the unjust for chastening in the day of judging,

⁷ Yet the heavens now, and the earth, by the same word, are stored with fire, being kept for the day of the judging and destruction of irreverent men."

⁵⁶ The tender-hearted woman among you, and the fastidious one, who would not try to put the sole of her foot on the earth because of fastidiousness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom and toward her son and toward her daughter, ⁵⁷ even for her afterbirth coming forth from between her feet, even for her sons whom she is bearing, for she shall eat them for lack of everything, in concealment during the siege and during the constraint with which your enemy shall constrain you in your gates.

¹⁰ The hands of compassionate women cook their own children; They become a repast for them in the brokenness of the daughter of my people.

⁴¹ They are saying to Him, "Evil men! Evilly will he be destroying them, and the vineyard will he be leasing to other farmers, who will be rendering the fruits to him in their seasons."

⁴⁴ And he who is falling on this stone shall be shattered, yet on whomever it should be falling, it will be scattering him like chaff."

¹⁹ Now woe to those who are pregnant and those suckling in those days!"

¹⁷ Now woe to those who are pregnant and those suckling in those days!"

²⁷ However, these, my enemies, who are not willing for me to reign over them-lead them here and slay them in front of me.'"

²⁹ for lo! coming are days in which they will be declaring, 'Happy are the barren, and the wombs which bear not, and the breasts which do not nourish!'"

¹⁶ forbidding us to speak to the nations that they may be saved, to fill up their sins always. Yet the indignation outstrips to them to a consummation."

¹² not even through the blood of he-goats and calves, but through His own blood, entered once for all time into the holy places, finding eonian redemption." ¹³ For if the blood of he-goats and of bulls, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling the contaminated, is hallowing to the cleanness of the flesh, ¹⁴ how much rather shall the blood of Christ, Who, through the eonian spirit offers Himself flawless to God, be cleansing your conscience from dead works to be offering divine service to the living and true God? ¹⁵ And therefore He is the Mediator of a new covenant, so that at a death occurring for the deliverance of the transgressions of those under the first covenant, those who are called may be obtaining the promise of the eonian enjoyment of the allotment." ¹⁶ For where there is a covenant, it is necessary to bring in the death of the covenant victim, ¹⁷ for a covenant is confirmed over the dead, since it is not availing at any time when the covenant victim is living."

²⁶ For at our sinning voluntarily after obtaining the recognition of the truth, it is no longer leaving a sacrifice concerned with sins, ²⁷ but a certain fearful waiting for judging and fiery jealousy, about to be eating the hostile." ²⁸ Anyone repudiating Moses' law is dying without pity on the testimony of two or three witnesses. ²⁹ Of how much worse punishment, are you supposing, will he be counted worthy who tramples on the Son of God, and deems the blood of the covenant by which he is hallowed contaminating, and outrages the spirit of grace? ³⁰ For we are acquainted with Him Who is saying, Mine is vengeance! I will repay! the Lord is saying, and again, "The Lord will be judging His people" ³¹ Fearful is it to be falling into the hands of the living God!

¹⁶ Now of well doing and contributing be not forgetful, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased."

¹ Come now, you rich, lament, howling for your wretchedness which is coming on you! "

¹⁷ seeing that it is the era for the judgment to begin from the house of God. Now if first from us, what is the consummation of those who are stubborn as to God's evangel?

⁵ And now, pray, I shall make known to you what I will do to My vineyard:I will take away its hedge, and it comes to be consumed. I breach its stone dike, and it comes to be tramped."

¹⁸ Why do the wicked march in Your holy place; our foes trample Your sanctuary?

¹² For thus says Yahweh, "Behold Me stretching out welfare to her, as a stream, and, as a watercourse overflowing, the glory of the nations. And suck do you. On the side are you being borne, and on the knees are you being dandled."

¹⁹ And I place among them a sign, and I send, from those delivered, to the nations, to Tharshish and Pul and Lud and Meshech and Quesheth, Tubal and Javan, and the coastlands afar, who have not heard of My fame, nor have seen My glory. And they tell of My glory, among the nations."

¹⁵ Yahweh has cast aside all my sturdy ones in my midst; He has called an appointed assembly against me to break apart my choice young men; Yahweh has trodden the winetrough of the virgin daughter of Judah.

¹³ Now I am hearing one saint speaking. And saying is one other saint to so-and-so, the speaking one, "Till when is the vision of the continuous ritual--the cessation of the sacrifice and the desolating transgression which gives over even the holy place and the host to tramping?

⁷ I am hearing the man clothed in linen who is above the waters of the waterway, "Till the era of the end.Then he is holding high his right and his left hands to the heavens and is swearing by Him Who is living for the eon, that it is for an appointed time, two appointed times and half an appointed time. And as is concluded the shattering of the hand of the holy people, concluding are all these things."

¹¹ For from the rising of the sun unto its setting, great is My name among the nations, and in every place incense is being brought close for My name, and a clean approach present. For My name is great among the nations, says Yahweh of hosts."

²⁵ For I am not willing for you to be ignorant of this secret, brethren, lest you may be passing for prudent among yourselves, that callousness, in part, on Israel has come, until the complement of the nations may be entering."

² And the court outside of the temple cast outside, and you should not be measuring it, for it was given to the nations, and the holy city will they be treading forty-two months."

³ Its waters clamor; they foam; The mountains quake at its swelling. {Interlude{

³ The streams lift up, O Yahweh, The streams lift up their voice; The streams shall lift up their crushing waves." ⁴ Greater than the sounds of mighty waters, Nobler than the breakers of the sea, Is Yahweh noble in the height."

³⁰ And he is growling over him in that day as the growling of the billowing sea. And behold! Darkness, distress, and the light is kept back in terror."

¹⁰ For the stars of the heavens are not appearing, and their constellations are not irradiating their light. Dark is the sun in its faring forth, and the moon is not brightening with its light."

¹³ Therefore the heavens will I disturb, and the earth shall quake from its place, in the furious rage of Yahweh of hosts, and in the day of His hot anger." ¹⁴ And the remainder becomes as a gazelle running away, and as a flock straying with no one to get it together. Each man toward his people shall face, and each man to his land shall flee."

⁴ Therefore said I, "Squint away from me. I am embittering in my lament. You must not rush to comfort me over the devastation of the daughter of my people." ⁵ For a day of discomfiture and destruction is it, and trampling and lamentation, to my Lord Yahweh of hosts. In the ravine of Zion is a scooping through the side wall, small and great are straying to the mountain."

²³ And the brick will melt, and the wall will fall, for Yahweh of hosts is King in mount Zion and in Jerusalem, and in front of His elders is He glorified."

¹⁵ And I am Yahweh, your Elohim, Luller of the sea, when clamoring are its billows. Yahweh of hosts is My name."

²³ I looked [to] the land, and lo, waste and void, And unto the heavens, and their light is not."

⁷ And in quenching you I have covered the heavens, And have made black their stars, The sun with a cloud I do cover, And the moon causes not its light to shine." ⁸ All luminaries of light in the heavens, I make black over you, And I have given darkness over your land, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh,

¹ In that era shall stand up Michael, the great chief, standing over the sons of your people. Then comes to be an era of distress such as has not occurred since there came to be a nation on the earth, till that era. Now in that era your people shall escape--all those found written in the scroll."

³⁰ And I will give miracles in the heavens above, and signs on the earth, blood and fire and pillars of smoke." ³¹ The sun shall be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the coming of the day of Yahweh, the great and fearful day."

⁹ And it comes in that day (averring is my Lord Yahweh) that I will bring in the sun at noon, and I will darken the land in daylight;" ¹⁰ and I will turn your celebrations to mourning, and all your songs to a dirge. And I will bring up sackcloth on all waists, and on every head baldness, and I will make it as the mourning for an only child, and the last of it as a day that is bitter."

⁴ Their good is as prickly nightshade; their uprightness is a hedge. The day of your watchmen, your visitation, comes; now shall be their perplexity."

²⁹ Now immediately after the affliction of those days the sun shall be darkened and the moon shall not be giving her beams, and the stars shall be falling from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken."

⁴⁵ Now from the sixth hour darkness came over the entire land till the ninth hour.

²⁴ But in those days, after that affliction, the sun shall be darkened,

²⁶ And then shall they be seeing the Son of Mankind coming in clouds with much power and glory.

³³ And at the coming of the sixth hour, darkness came over the whole land till the ninth hour."

¹⁹ And I will give miracles in heaven above, And signs on the earth below, Blood and fire and vapor pillars of smoke,

¹⁰ Now the day of the Lord will be arriving as a thief, in which the heavens shall be passing by with a booming noise, yet the elements shall be dissolved by combustion, and the earth and the works in it shall be found." ¹¹ At these all, then, dissolving, to what manner of men must you belong in holy behavior and devoutness, ¹² hoping for and hurrying the presence of God's day, because of which the heavens, being on fire, will be dissolved, and the elements decompose by combustion!"

¹² And I perceived, when It opens the sixth seal, and a great cataclysm occurred, and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the whole moon became as blood, ¹³ and the stars of heaven fall on the earth as a fig tree is casting its shriveled figs, quaking under a great wind." ¹⁴ And heaven recoils as a scroll rolling up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place."

¹¹ And I perceived a great white throne, and Him Who is sitting upon it, from Whose face earth and heaven fled, and no place was found for them."

³⁶ As for the remainder among you, I will also bring timidity into their heart in the lands of their enemies so that the sound of a leaf being whisked away will pursue them, and they will flee as if in flight from the sword; they will fall even when there is no one pursuing.

³² Your sons and your daughters shall be given to another people, and your eyes shall be staring and wasting away for them all the day, yet there will be nothing at the disposal of your hand. ³³ A people you do not know shall devour the fruit of your ground and all your labor, and you will surely be extorted and bruised all the days, ³⁴ so that you will become mad because of the sight of your eyes that you shall see.

⁶⁵ And among those nations you shall neither find respite, nor shall there be a resting place for the sole of your foot, and Yahweh will give to you there a disturbed heart, a failure of the eyes and pining of the soul. ⁶⁶ Then your lives will come to be hung in suspense in front of you. You will be afraid by night and by day, and you shall not put trust in your lives. ⁶⁷ In the morning you shall say:O that it were evening! And in the evening you shall say:O that it were morning! because of the awe of your heart with which you shall be afraid and because of the sight of your eyes which you shall see.

²⁵ and the moon shall not be giving her beams, and the stars shall be falling out of heaven, and the powers in the heavens shall be shaken."

¹³ Perceiving am I in the visions of the night, and behold, on the clouds of the heavens, One as a son of a mortal is arriving:Unto the Transferrer of Days He reaches, and they bring Him near before Him;"

²⁷ Verily I am saying to you that there are some of those standing here who under no circumstances should be tasting death till they should be perceiving the Son of Mankind coming in His kingdom."

³⁰ And then shall appear the sign of the Son of Mankind in heaven, and then all the tribes of the land shall grieve, and they shall see the Son of Mankind coming on the clouds of heaven with power and much glory."

³¹ Now, whenever the Son of Mankind may be coming in His glory, and all the holy messengers with Him, then shall He be seated on the throne of His glory,

⁶⁴ Saying to him is Jesus, "You say it! Moreover, I am saying to you, Henceforth you shall be seeing the Son of Mankind sitting at the right hand of power and coming on the clouds of heaven."

⁹ And saying these things, while they are looking, He was lifted up, and a cloud took Him up from their eyes." ¹⁰ And as they were looking intently into heaven at His going, lo! two men stand beside them in white attire, ¹¹ who say also, "Men! Galileans! Why do you stand, looking into heaven? This Jesus Who is being taken up from you into heaven shall come thus, in the manner in which you gaze at Him going into heaven."

⁷ Lo! He is coming with clouds, and every eye shall be seeing Him-those, also, who stab Him-and all the tribes of the land shall be grieving over Him. Yea! Amen!"

¹⁴ And I perceived, and lo! a white cloud, and on the cloud One sitting like a son of mankind, having a golden wreath on His head, and a sharp sickle in His hand."

⁵ Make melody to Yahweh with the harp, With the harp and the sound of melody." ⁶ With bugles and the sound of the trumpet, Raise a joyful shout before Yahweh the King." ⁷ Let the sea thunder, and its fullness, The habitance and those dwelling in it." ⁸ The streams, let them clap with the palm, ⁹ The mountains, let them be jubilant together before Yahweh. For He comes to judge the earth; He shall judge the habitance in righteousness, And the peoples with equity."

¹ And you will say, in that day, "I am acclaiming You, Yahweh, for You wast angry with me, yet reversing is Your anger, and You are comforting me." ² Behold! El is my Salvation. I am trusting in Him and am not afraid. For my Strength and Melody is Yah, Yahweh, and He is becoming mine for salvation." ³ And you will bail water with elation from the springs of salvation.

⁸ He swallows up death permanently. And my Lord Yahweh will wipe every tear off of all faces, and the reproach of His people will He take away off all the earth, for the mouth of Yahweh speaks." ⁹ And they will say in that day, "Behold! This is Yahweh, our Elohim. We expected Him, and He will save us! This is Yahweh! We expected Him, and we will exult! And we will rejoice in His salvation,

¹ Light up! Light up, Jerusalem! For come has your light, and the glory of Yahweh over you is radiant." ² For behold! The darkness is covering the earth, and murkiness the folkstems, yet, over you, radiant is Yahweh, and His glory over you is appearing."

⁷ Yet should not God by all means be doing the avenging of His chosen ones, who are imploring Him day and night? And He is patient with them."

¹⁹ For the premonition of the creation is awaiting the unveiling of the sons of God.

²³ Yet not only so, but we ourselves also, who have the firstfruit of the spirit, we ourselves also, are groaning in ourselves, awaiting the sonship, the deliverance of our body."

¹⁴ (which is an earnest of the enjoyment of our allotment, to the deliverance of that which has been procured) for the laud of His glory!"

³⁰ And do not be causing sorrow to the holy spirit of God by which you are sealed for the day of deliverance.

³² Now from the fig tree learn a parable: Whenever its bough may already be becoming tender, and the leaves sprouting out, you know that summer is near." ³³ Thus you, also, whenever you may be perceiving all these things, know that He is near-at the doors." ³⁴ Verily, I am saying to you that by no means may this generation be passing by till all these things should be occurring." ³⁵ Heaven and earth shall be passing by, yet My words may by no means be passing by."

²⁸ Now from the fig tree be learning a parable: Whenever its bough may already be becoming tender and the leaves sprouting out, you know that summer is near." ²⁹ Thus you, also, whenever you may be perceiving these things occurring, know that He is near - at the doors." ³⁰ Verily, I am saying to you that by no means may this generation be passing by until the time when all these things may be occurring."

⁵⁷ Now why, even of yourselves, are you not deciding what is just?

¹ And, approaching, the Pharisees and the Sadducees, trying Him, inquire to have Him exhibit a sign out of heaven to them." ² Now He, answering, said to them, ³ -⁴ A generation, wicked and an adulteress, for a sign is seeking, and a sign will not be given to it except the sign of Jonah.And leaving them, He came away."

⁵¹ Are you supposing that I came along to give peace to the earth? No, I am saying to you, but rather division, ⁵² For from now on there will be five in one home divided, three against two, and two against three will be divided, ⁵³ father against son and son against father, and mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law." ⁵⁴ Now He said to the throngs, also, "Whenever you should be perceiving a cloud rising in the west, immediately you are saying that 'A rainstorm is coming,' and it is occurring thus." ⁵⁵ And whenever it is blowing from the south, you are saying that 'There will be a scorching heat,' and it is occurring." ⁵⁶ Hypocrites! The aspect of the sky and the earth you are aware how to be testing, yet this era you are not aware how to be testing!" ⁵⁷ Now why, even of yourselves, are you not deciding what is just?

³⁷ For still how very little, He Who is coming will be arriving and not delaying."

⁹ Be not groaning, brethren, against one another, lest you may be judged. Lo! the Judge stands before the doors."

⁷ Now the consummation of all is near. Be sane, then, and sober for prayers,

³⁶ Verily, I am saying to you: All these things will be arriving on this generation."

³⁴ Verily, I am saying to you that by no means may this generation be passing by till all these things should be occurring."

³⁰ Verily, I am saying to you that by no means may this generation be passing by until the time when all these things may be occurring."

²⁶ They shall perish, yet You shall stand. All of them shall decay like a cloak; You shall change them like clothing, and they shall pass by."

⁸ Dry is the grass; decayed is the blossom. Yet the word of our Elohim shall be confirmed for the eon."

⁶ Lift your eyes to the heavens, and look to the earth beneath. For the heavens, as with smoke, are full, and the earth, as a garment, is decaying, and its dwellers likewise, as a louse, are dying. Yet My salvation for the eon shall come. And My righteousness shall not be dismayed."

¹⁸ For verily, I am saying to you, Till heaven and earth should be passing by, one iota or one serif may by no means be passing by from the law till all should be occurring.

³⁵ Heaven and earth shall be passing by, yet My words may by no means be passing by."

³¹ Heaven and earth shall be passing by, yet My words shall by no means be passing by."

²⁵ Yet the declaration of the Lord is remaining for the eon. Now this is the declaration which is being brought to you in the evangel.

⁷ Yet the heavens now, and the earth, by the same word, are stored with fire, being kept for the day of the judging and destruction of irreverent men." ⁸ Now of this one thing you are not to be oblivious, beloved, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day." ⁹ The Lord is not tardy as to the promise, as some are deeming tardiness, but is patient because of you, not intending any to perish, but all to make room for repentance." ¹⁰ Now the day of the Lord will be arriving as a thief, in which the heavens shall be passing by with a booming noise, yet the elements shall be dissolved by combustion, and the earth and the works in it shall be found." ¹¹ At these all, then, dissolving, to what manner of men must you belong in holy behavior and devoutness, ¹² hoping for and hurrying the presence of God's day, because of which the heavens, being on fire, will be dissolved, and the elements decompose by combustion!" ¹³ Yet we, according to His promises, are hoping for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness is dwelling." ¹⁴ Wherefore, beloved, hoping for these things, endeavor to be found by Him in peace, unspotted and flawless."

⁹ Do not drink wine or intoxicant, you or your sons with you, when you come into the tent of appointment, so that you may not die. It shall be an eonian statute throughout your generations,

¹⁹ And it will come to be when he hears the words of this imprecation that he will bless himself in his heart, saying:I shall come to have peace, though I am going in the obduracy of my own heart, seeing that the satiated may be swept up with the thirsty.

³⁶ And Abigail comes in unto Nabal, and lo, he has a banquet in his house, like a banquet of the king, and the heart of Nabal [is] glad within him, and he [is] drunk unto excess, and she has not declared to him anything, less or more, till the light of the morning.

⁸ May ruination come upon him when he is not knowing it, And may his net that he has buried seize him; Let him fall into it to ruination."

⁴ Conceited eyes and pretentious heart, The lamp of the wicked, are sin."

¹ Woe! Proud crown of the drunkards of Ephraim! And decaying blossom of its stately beauty, which is at the head of the fertile ravine, drunkards for whom there is no wine!" ² Behold! The anger of Yahweh is steadfast and resolute as a hail storm, a stinging horror, as a storm of waters, abundant, overflowing. And He drags it to the earth by His hand." ³ With their feet will they tramp the proud crown of the drunkards of Ephraim,

⁷ And, moreover, these by wine, do err, and by an intoxicant they stray. Priest and prophet err by an intoxicant. They are swallowed up because of the wine. They stray because of the intoxicant. They err in sight, quaver in mediation,

¹⁰ His watchmen are blind, all of them. They do not know to call. All of them are mute curs. They can not bark. They are having nightmares while lying, loving to slumber, ¹¹ and curs strongly soulish. No satisfaction do they know. And they are evil. They do not know to understand. All of them face to their own way, each man for his own gain, for his own end." ¹² Arrive! We will take wine, and we will carouse with an intoxicant! And it comes, as this day, so the morrow, great, exceedingly exuberant!"

¹¹ and wine and grape juice shall take their heart.

²² Now he who is being sown in the thorns, this is he who is hearing the word, and the worry of this eon and the seduction of riches are stifling the word, and it is becoming unfruitful."

³⁹ and did not know till the deluge came and takes them all away, thus shall be the presence of the Son of Mankind." ⁴⁰ Then two shall be in the field; one is taken along and one left: ⁴¹ two grinding at the millstone; one is taken along and one left. ⁴² Be watching, then, for you are not aware on what day your Lord is coming." ⁴³ Now that be knowing, for if the householder were aware in what watch the thief is coming, he would watch, and would not let his house be tunneled into." ⁴⁴ Therefore you also become ready, for in an hour which you are not supposing, the Son of Mankind is coming." ⁴⁵ Who, consequently, is the faithful and prudent slave whom the lord places over his household to give them nourishment in season? ⁴⁶ Happy is that slave whom his lord, coming, will be finding doing thus." ⁴⁷ Verily, I am saying to you that over all his possessions will he be placing him." ⁴⁸ Now if that evil slave should be saying in his heart, 'Delaying is my lord,'" ⁴⁹ and should begin to beat his fellow slaves, yet may be eating and drinking with the drunken, ⁵⁰ the lord of that slave will be arriving on a day for which he is not hoping, and in an hour which he knows not,

¹⁹ and the worries of this eon, and the seduction of riches and the desires about the rest, going in, are stifling the word, and it is becoming unfruitful."

⁹ The beginning of pangs are these. Yet you be looking to yourselves, for they shall be giving you up to the sanhedrins, and in synagogues shall you be lashed, and before governors and even kings shall you stand on My account, for a testimony to them."

¹⁴ Now that falling among the thorns, these are those who hear and, by worries and riches, and by the gratifications of life, going on, stifle, and are bringing nothing to maturity."

⁴¹ Now, answering, the Lord said to her, "Martha, Martha, you are worrying and in a tumult about many things."

⁴⁰ You also become ready, then, for, in an hour which you are not supposing, the Son of Mankind is coming."

⁴⁵ Now if that slave should be saying in his heart, 'My lord is delaying his coming,' and should be beginning both to beat the boys and the maids and to be eating and drinking and to be drunk, ⁴⁶ the lord of that slave will be arriving on a day for which he is not hoping and at an hour which he does not know, and shall be cutting him asunder and shall be appointing his part with the unfaithful."

³ Take heed to yourselves. Yet if your brother should be sinning, rebuke him, and if he should ever indeed repent, forgive him."

¹¹ This, also, do, being aware of the era, that it is already the hour for us to be roused out of sleep, for now is our salvation nearer than when we believe." ¹² The night progresses, yet the day is near. We, then, should be putting off the acts of darkness, yet should be putting on the implements of light." ¹³ As in the day, respectably, should we be walking, not in revelries and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and jealousy,

¹¹ Yet now I write to you not to be commingling with anyone named a brother, if he should be a paramour, or greedy, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner. With such a one you are not even to be eating."

¹⁰ nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards; no revilers, no extortioners shall be enjoying the allotment of God's kingdom."

²⁰ idolatry, enchantment, enmities, strife, jealousies, furies, factions, dissensions, sects,

⁶ Do not worry about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God,

² for you yourselves are accurately aware that the day of the Lord is as a thief in the night - thus is it coming! ³ Now whenever they may be saying "Peace and security,then extermination is standing by them unawares, even as a pang over the pregnant, and they may by no means escape." ⁴ Now you, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day may be overtaking you as a thief, ⁵ for you are all sons of the light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of the darkness. ⁶ Consequently, then, we may not be drowsing, even as the rest, but we may be watching and be sober." ⁷ For those who are drowsing are drowsing at night, and those who are drunk are drunk at night." ⁸ Yet we, being of the day, may be sober, putting on the cuirass of faith and love, and the helmet, the expectation of salvation,

¹⁵ supervising, that no one be wanting of the grace of God, nor any root of bitterness, sprouting up, may be annoying you, and through this the majority may be defiled,

³ For sufficient is the time which has passed by to have effected the intention of the nations, having gone on in wantonness, lusts, debauches, revelries, drinking bouts, and illicit idolatries, ⁴ while they are thinking it strange of you not to race together into the same puddle of profligacy, calumniating you;" ⁵ who shall be rendering an account to Him Who is holding Himself in readiness to judge the living and the dead. ⁶ For for this an evangel is brought to the dead also, that they may be judged, indeed, according to men in flesh, yet should be living according to God, in spirit." ⁷ Now the consummation of all is near. Be sane, then, and sober for prayers,

¹⁰ Now the day of the Lord will be arriving as a thief, in which the heavens shall be passing by with a booming noise, yet the elements shall be dissolved by combustion, and the earth and the works in it shall be found."

¹⁴ Wherefore, beloved, hoping for these things, endeavor to be found by Him in peace, unspotted and flawless."

³ Remember, then, how you have obtained, and hear; keep it and repent. If ever, then, you should not be watching, I shall be arriving on you as a thief, and under no circumstances will you be knowing what hour I shall be arriving on you."

⁴ For, seven days further, I will cause it to rain on the earth forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe every risen thing which I have made off the surface of the entire ground.

⁶ Let Him rain coals of fire and sulfur on the wicked, And let a simoon wind be the assigned portion of their cup.

¹² For, moreover, a man does not know his season; Like fish that are held in a vicious weir, And like birds that are held in a snare, So the sons of humanity themselves are trapped by a season of evil, When it falls on them suddenly."

¹⁷ Afraidness and a pit and a snare are on you, dweller of the land." ¹⁸ And it comes that the one fleeing from the awful sound shall fall into the pit. And the ascender from the midst of the pit shall be seized in a snare. For the crevices of the heights are opened, and the foundations of the earth shall quake."

⁴³ Fear, and a snare, and a gin, [are] for you, O inhabitant of Moab--an affirmation of Yahweh, ⁴⁴ Whoso is fleeing because of the fear falls into the snare, And whoso is coming up from the snare is captured by the gin, For I bring in unto her--unto Moab--The year of their inspection, An affirmation of Yahweh."

³⁷ And answering, they are saying to Him, "Where, Lord?Yet He said to them, "Wherever the body is, there the vultures also will be assembled."

²⁶ Besides, He makes out of one every nation of mankind, to be dwelling on all the surface of the earth, specifying the setting of the seasons and the bounds of their dwelling, for them to be seeking God, if, consequently,

¹⁵ ("Lo! I am coming as a thief! Happy is he who is watching and keeping his garments, that he may not be walking naked and they may be observing his indecency!") "

¹⁰ Would he find pleasure in Him Who Suffices? Would he call to Eloah on every occasion?

⁵ Therefore, the wicked shall not rise up in judgment, Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

² Yet who will endure the day of His coming? And who will stand when He appears? For He is coming like a refiner's fire, and as launderers' soap."

⁴² Be watching, then, for you are not aware on what day your Lord is coming."

¹³ Watch, then, for you are not aware of the day, neither the hour."

⁴¹ Watch and pray, lest you may be entering into trial. The spirit, indeed, is eager; yet the flesh is infirm."

³³ Beware! Be vigilant and pray, for you are not aware when the era is."

³⁷ Now what I am saying to you, I am saying to all: 'Watch!'"

³⁷ Happy are those slaves, whom the Lord, coming, will be finding watching. Verily, I am saying to you that He will be girding Himself about and causing them to recline, and, coming by, will be serving them." ³⁸ And if He should be coming in the second watch, and if in the third watch, and should be finding them thus, happy are those slaves." ³⁹ Now this you know, that if the householder were aware at what hour the thief is coming, he would watch and would not let his house be tunneled into." ⁴⁰ You also become ready, then, for, in an hour which you are not supposing, the Son of Mankind is coming."

¹ Now He told them a parable also, so that they must always be praying and not be despondent,

³⁵ Yet those deemed worthy to happen upon that eon and the resurrection from among the dead are neither marrying nor taking out in marriage.

² devout and fearing God with his entire house, doing many alms to the people and beseeching God continually,

¹³ Watch! Stand firm in the faith! Be manly! Be staunch!

¹³ Therefore take up the panoply of God that you may be enabled to withstand in the wicked day, and having effected all, to stand." ¹⁴ Stand, then, girded about your loins with truth, with the cuirass of righteousness put on."

¹⁸ During every prayer and petition be praying on every occasion (in spirit being vigilant also for it with all perseverance and petition concerning all the saints, ¹⁹ and for me), that to me expression may be granted, in the opening of my mouth with boldness, to make known the secret of the evangel,

² In prayer be persevering, watching in it with thanksgiving,

¹⁷ Be praying unintermittingly.

⁵ a display of the just judging of God, to deem you worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering also, ⁶ if so be that it is just of God to repay affliction to those afflicting you,

⁵ Yet you be sober in all things; suffer evil as an ideal soldier of Christ Jesus; do the work of an evangelist; fully discharge your service.

⁸ Be sober! Watch! For your plaintiff, the Adversary, is walking about as a roaring lion, seeking someone to swallow up;"

²⁸ And now, little children, remain in Him, that, if He should be manifested, we should be having boldness and not be put to shame by Him in His presence."

²⁴ Now to Him Who is able to guard you from tripping, and to stand you flawless in sight of His glory, in exultation,

⁴ And His feet shall stand in that day on the mount of Olives, which is adjoining Jerusalem on the east. And the mount of Olives is rent in half; toward sunrise and seaward is a very great ravine, and half of the mountain removes northward, and half of it toward the south rim."

¹ And when they draw near to Jerusalem and came into Bethphage on the Mount of Olives, then Jesus dispatches two disciples,

¹⁷ And, leaving them, He came out of the city into Bethany and is camped out there."

³⁰ And, singing a hymn, they came out to the mount of Olives."

⁵⁵ In that hour Jesus said to the throngs, "As for a robber, you come out with swords and cudgels to apprehend Me! Daily was I seated with you, teaching in the sanctuary, and you do not hold Me."

¹² And on the morrow, at their coming out from Bethany, He hungers."

¹⁹ And whenever it came to be evening, they went out, outside the city."

³⁷ Now at His already drawing near to the descent of the mount of Olives, the entire multitude of the disciples begins rejoicing, praising God with a loud voice concerning all the powerful deeds which they perceived,

³⁹ And, coming out, He went, according to His custom, into the mount of Olives. Now the disciples also follow Him."

¹ Jesus, then, six days before the Passover, came to Bethany, where Lazarus was who had died, whom Jesus rouses from among the dead."

¹² Then they return into Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem a sabbath's journey."

¹ Yet Jesus went to the mount of Olives. ² Now early He again came along into the sanctuary, and the entire people came to Him. And, being seated, He taught them."
