¹⁸ The spirit of the Lord is on Me, On account of which He anoints Me to bring the evangel to the poor. He has commissioned Me to heal the crushed heart, To herald to captives a pardon, And to the blind the receiving of sight; To dispatch the oppressed with a pardon."

¹⁵ And enmity am I setting between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed. He shall hurt your head and you shall hurt his heel.

²⁷ Because your heart [is] tender, and you are humbled before Elohim in your hearing His words concerning this place, and concerning its inhabitants, and are humbled before Me, and do rend your garments, and weep before Me:even I also have heard--the affirmation of Yahweh.

² The kings of the earth are standing by, And the chancellors are gathered together Against Yahweh and against His Anointed, saying,

⁶ I will pour a libation on My King, On Zion, My holy mountain.

¹⁸ Yahweh is near to the broken of heart, And He shall save those crushed of spirit."

⁷ You love righteousness and hate wickedness; Therefore Elohim Your Elohim has anointed You With the oil of elation beyond Your partners.

¹⁷ The sacrifices to Elohim are a broken spirit; A broken and crushed heart, O Elohim, You shall not despise."

²⁰ To hear the groaning of the prisoner, To unloose the sons of death,

¹⁰ Those dwelling in darkness and the shadow of death, The bound ones in humiliation and iron, ¹¹ Because they had rebelled against the sayings of El, And had spurned the counsel of the Supreme, ¹² He brought their heart into submission with toil; They stumbled, and there was no one to help." ¹³ Then they cried out to Yahweh in their distress:He saved them from their constraints; ¹⁴ He brought them forth from darkness and the shadow of death, And He pulled away their bonds." ¹⁵ Let them acclaim Yahweh for His benignity And His marvelous works to the sons of humanity. ¹⁶ For He broke the doors of bronze And hacked down the bars of iron.

⁷ He is the One executing right judgment for those being exploited, The Giver of bread to the famished, Yahweh, letting loose those who are bound, ⁸ Yahweh, unclosing the eyes of the blind, Yahweh, making erect those who are bent down, Yahweh, loving those who are righteous,

³ The One healing the broken heart And binding up their grievous wounds;

² And the spirit of Yahweh shall rest on Him:A spirit of wisdom and understanding, a spirit of counsel and mastery, a spirit of knowledge and the fear of Yahweh." ³ And His scent is in the fear of Yahweh. And not by the sight of His eyes will He judge, and not by the hearing of His ears will He correct." ⁴ Yet He will judge with righteousness the poor, and correct with equity for the humble of the land. And He will smite the earth with the club of His mouth, and with the spirit of His lips will He put to death the wicked." ⁵ And it comes that righteousness is the belt of His waist, and faithfulness the band of His loins."

¹⁸ And the deaf will hear, in that day, the words of a scroll, and from gloom, and from darkness, blind eyes shall see, ¹⁹ and the humble will continue to rejoice in Yahweh, and the needy of humanity will exult in the Holy One of Israel."

³ And the eyes of the seers shall not squint, and the ears of the hearers shall be attentive,

⁵ Then unclosed shall be the eyes of the blind, and the ears of the deaf shall be opened."

¹ Behold My Servant! I am upholding Him. My Chosen! Accepted by My soul! I bestow My spirit upon Him, and He shall bring forth judgment to the nations." ² He shall not cry, nor make a tumult, nor cause His voice to be heard outside." ³ A bruised reed He will not break, and dimmed flax He will not quench, for truth will He bring forth judgment." ⁴ And He will not dim nor bruise till He shall place judgment in the earth. And the coastlanders will wait for His law."

⁷ to unclose the eyes that are blind, to bring forth the prisoner from his enclosure, and those dwelling in darkness from the house of detention."

¹⁶ And I will conduct the blind in a way they do not know, and in tracks they do not know will I cause them to tread. I will convert darkness before them into light, and the perverse into straightness. These things I do for them, ¹⁷ nor do I forsake them, when they are turned away back. Ashamed, yea ashamed shall be those trusting in a carving, who are saying to a molten image, `You are our elohim!'" ¹⁸ You deaf, hear! And you blind, look, to see!"

¹³ I, I rouse him in righteousness, and all his ways am I straightening. He shall build My city, and My deportation he will let go, not for a price, and not for a bribe,says Yahweh of hosts."

⁹ to say to those bound, `Fare forth,' and to those in darkness, `Be revealed!' And on all their mountains shall they graze. And all ridges shall be their pasture."

²⁴ Taken from a master is the booty? And would the captive of a terrifier escape? ²⁵ For thus says Yahweh, "Even the captive of a master will be taken, and the booty of the terrifier will escape. Yet with your contender I will contend, and your sons I will save."

⁴ My Lord Yahweh gives me the tongue of the taught, to know in season to counsel with a word. And He is rousing morning by morning, and He is rousing my ear to hear as the taught."

² Shake yourself from the soil! And rise, captive Jerusalem! Unloose for yourself the bonds of your neck, captive daughter of Zion!" ³ For thus says Yahweh, "Gratuitously were you sold, and not with silver shall you be redeemed."

¹⁵ For thus says Yahweh, high and lifted up, who tabernacles the future, and holy is His name:"In the high and holy place am I tabernacling, and with the crushed and lowly spirit, to preserve alive the spirit of the lowly, and to preserve alive the heart of the crushed."

²¹ And I--this is My covenant with them,says Yahweh. "My spirit, which is on you, and My word, which I place in your mouth, shall not remove from your mouth, or from the mouth of your seed, or from the mouth of your seed's seed,says Yahweh, "Henceforth and till the eon."

¹ The spirit of My Lord Yahweh is on Me, because Yahweh anoints Me to bear tidings to the humble. He sends Me to bind up the broken hearted, to herald to captives, liberty, and, to the blind, the unclosing of the eyes, and, to the bound, to take the jubilee,

² Yet all these were made by My hand, and all these are coming to be Mine,averring is Yahweh. "Yet to this one will I look:to the humble and smitten spirit, and he who trembles at My word."

⁴ And He calls unto the man who is clothed with linen, who has the scribe's inkhorn at his loins, and Yahweh said unto him, `Pass on into the midst of the city, into the midst of Jerusalem, and you have made a mark on the foreheads of the men who are sighing and who are groaning for all the abominations that are done in its midst.'"

²⁴ Seventy sevens are segregated for your people and for your holy city:To detain transgression, to cause sin to end, to make a propitiatory shelter for depravity; to bring the righteousness of the eons, to seal the vision and the prophet, to anoint the holy of holies."

¹² And I will cause a humble and poor people to remain within you; and they will take refuge in the name of Yahweh.

¹¹ Moreover, you, by the blood of your covenant, I send your prisoners away from a cistern without water in it." ¹² Return to the fortress, prisoners of expectation. Moreover, this day is telling, I will restore a second portion to you."

¹¹ And it will be annulled in that day. And the traffickers of the flock, who are observing me, shall know that it is the word of Yahweh."

² Yet the Sun of righteousness shall radiate to you who fear My name, and healing is in its wings. And you shall come forth, and you prance as calves of the stall."

¹⁶ The people sitting in darkness perceived a great light,
And to those sitting in the province and shadow of death, light arises for them.

³ "Happy, in spirit, are the poor, for theirs is the kingdom of the heavens.

²⁷ And as Jesus is passing by thence, two blind men follow Him, clamoring and saying, "Be merciful to us, Son of David!" ²⁸ Now on His coming into the house, the blind men come to Him. And Jesus is saying to them, "You are believing that I am able to do this?They are saying to Him, "Yes, Lord." ²⁹ Then He touches their eyes, saying, "According to your faith let it be with you." ³⁰ And opened were their eyes. And Jesus mutters to them, saying, "See! Let no one know!"

⁵ The blind are receiving sight, and the lame are walking; lepers are being cleansed, and the deaf are hearing, and the dead are being roused, and to the poor the evangel is being brought."

²⁰ A reed that is bruised He will not be fracturing. And flax that is smouldering He will not be extinguishing...Till He should ever be casting out judging for victory.

²⁰ And He, lifting up His eyes to His disciples, said "Happy are the poor, for yours is the kingdom of God."

²² And answering, Jesus said to them, "Go, report to John what you perceived and hear: that the blind are receiving sight, the lame are walking, lepers are being cleansed, and the deaf are hearing, the dead are being roused, and to the poor the evangel is being brought."

⁴¹ This one first is finding his own brother, Simon, and is saying to him, "We have found the Messiah!(which is, being construed, "Christ")."

³⁴ For He Whom God commissions is speaking God's declarations, for God is not giving the spirit by measure."

³⁹ And Jesus said, "For judgment came I into this world, that those who are not observing may be observing, and those observing may be becoming blind." ⁴⁰ And those of the Pharisees who are with Him hear these things, and they said to Him, "Not we also are blind? ⁴¹ Jesus said to them, "If you were blind, you would have had no sin. Yet now you are saying that 'We are observing.' Your sin, then, is remaining."

⁴⁶ I have come into the world a Light, that everyone who is believing in Me should not be remaining in darkness."

²⁷ For of a truth, in this city were gathered against Thy holy Boy Jesus, Whom Thou dost anoint, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, together with the nations and the peoples of Israel,

³⁸ Jesus from Nazareth, as God anoints Him with holy spirit and power, Who passed through as a benefactor and healer of all those who are tyrannized over by the Adversary, for God was with Him."

¹⁸ to open their eyes, to turn them about from darkness to light and from the authority of Satan to God, for them to get a pardon of sins and an allotment among those who have been hallowed by faith that is in Me.'"

⁸ for you were once darkness, yet now you are light in the Lord." ⁹ As children of light be walking (for the fruit of the light is in all goodness and righteousness and truth), ¹⁰ testing what is well pleasing to the Lord. ¹¹ And be not joint participants in the unfruitful acts of darkness, yet rather be exposing them also, ¹² for it is a shame even to speak of the hidden things occurring, done by them." ¹³ Now all that which is being exposed, by the light is made manifest, for everything which is making manifest is light." ¹⁴ Wherefore He is saying, 'Rouse! O drowsy one, and rise from among the dead, and Christ shall dawn upon you!'"

¹³ Who rescues us out of the jurisdiction of Darkness, and transports us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,

⁵ for you are all sons of the light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of the darkness. ⁶ Consequently, then, we may not be drowsing, even as the rest, but we may be watching and be sober."

⁵ Hear, my beloved brethren! Does not God choose the poor in the world, rich in faith and enjoyers of the allotment of the kingdom which He promises to those who are loving Him?

⁹ Yet you are a chosen race, a "royal priesthood,a "holy nation,a procured people, so that you should be recounting the virtues of Him Who calls you out of darkness into His marvelous light,

⁸ Again, a new precept am I writing to you, which is true in Him and in you, for the darkness is passing by, and the true light already is appearing." ⁹ He who is saying that he is in the light and is hating his brother is a liar and is in darkness hitherto. ¹⁰ He who is loving his brother is remaining in the light, and there is no snare in him."
