Nehemiah 9:17 Cross References - CLV

¹⁷ yea, they refuse to hearken, and have not remembered Your wonders that You have done with them, and harden their neck and appoint a head, to turn back to their service, in their rebellion; and You [are] a Eloah of pardons, gracious, and merciful, long-suffering, and abundant in kindness, and have not forsaken them.

⁶ Now Yahweh passed by before his face and called: Yahweh, Yahweh El, Who is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and with much kindness and truth, ⁷ preserving kindness to thousands, bearing with depravity, transgression and sin, yet He is not immediately making innocent in order to make innocent, but visiting the depravity of the fathers on the sons and on the sons' sons, on the third and on the fourth generation.

³ Why is Yahweh bringing us to this land to fall by the sword? Our wives and our little ones shall be taken as plunder. Is it not better for us to return to Egypt? ⁴ And they said each to his brother:Let us appoint a head, and let us return to Egypt.

¹¹ Yahweh said to Moses:How long shall this people spurn Me? And how long shall they not believe in Me despite all the signs which I have done among them?

¹⁸ Yahweh, slow to anger and with much kindness and truth, bearing with depravity and transgression and sin, yet He is not immediately making innocent in order to make innocent, but is visiting the depravity of the fathers on the sons, on the third and on the fourth generation. ¹⁹ Pardon, I pray, the depravity of this people according to the greatness of Your kindness just as You bore with this people from Egypt and hitherto.

⁴¹ Moses said:Why is this? You are trespassing the bidding of Yahweh, so this shall not prosper.

¹⁴ Indeed, into a land gushing with milk and honey you did not bring us that you might give to us an allotment of field and vineyard. Are you picking out the eyes of these men? We shall not come up!"

¹³ and have tabernacled in the midst of the sons of Israel, and do not forsake My people Israel..

⁵⁷ `Yahweh our Elohim is with us as He has been with our fathers; He does not forsake us nor leave us;

¹¹ They forgot all His activity And His marvelous works that He had shown them.

³⁸ Yet He was compassionate; He made a propitiatory shelter for depravity, And He did not bring ruin; He acted many times to reverse His anger, And He would not rouse all His fury."

⁴² They did not remember His hand:The day when He ransomed them from the foe, ⁴³ When He placed His signs in Egypt, And His miracles in the field of Zoan."

⁵ For You, O Yahweh, are good and pardoning, And with much benignity to all calling on You."

¹⁵ Yet You, O Yahweh, are an El compassionate and gracious, Slow to anger and with much benignity and faithfulness."

⁸ Compassionate and gracious is Yahweh, Slow to anger and with much benignity." ⁹ He shall not contend permanently, And He shall not hold resentment for the eon." ¹⁰ He has neither done to us according to our sins, Nor has He requited us according to our depravities." ¹¹ For as the heavens are lofty over the earth, So is His benignity masterful over those fearing Him." ¹² As far as the east is from the west, So He removes our transgressions far from us." ¹³ As a father shows compassion over his sons, So Yahweh shows compassion over those fearing Him." ¹⁴ For He knows our formation, Remembering that we are soil." ¹⁵ As for mortal man, his days are like grass, Like a blossom of the field, so is he blossoming." ¹⁶ For the wind, it passes over him, and he is no more, And his place shall not recognize him any longer." ¹⁷ Yet the benignity of Yahweh is from eon unto eon over those fearing Him, And His righteousness continues for the sons of sons, ¹⁸ To those keeping His covenant And to those remembering His precepts, to obey them."

⁷ Our fathers in Egypt did not contemplate Your marvelous works; They did not remember Your many benignities, And they defied the Supreme by the Sea of Weeds."

¹³ But they quickly forgot His deeds; They did not tarry for His counsel.

²⁴ Then they rejected the coveted land; They did not believe His word, ²⁵ And they murmured in their tents; They did not hearken to the voice of Yahweh.

⁴³ Many times He rescued them, But they were rebellious in their counsel, And they were reduced lower in their depravity." ⁴⁴ Yet He saw their distress, On His hearing of their appeal, ⁴⁵ And, for them, He remembered His covenant, So that He was merciful according to His many benignities." ⁴⁶ He gave them over to compassions Before all those holding them captive.

⁴ For with You is pardon That You may be devoutly feared.

⁸ Gracious and compassionate is Yahweh, Slow to anger and with great benignity." ⁹ Yahweh is good to all, And His compassions are over all His works."

²⁴ Because I called, and you refused, I stretched out my hand, and no one attended,

⁷ Forsake shall the wicked one his way, and the lawless man his devices, and he shall return to Yahweh, and He will have compassion on him, and to our Elohim, for he will increasingly pardon your sins." ⁸ For not as My devices are your devices, and not as your ways are My ways,averring is Yahweh." ⁹ For as the heavens are loftier than the earth, so are My ways loftier than your ways, and my devices than your devices."

¹³ and tear your heart and not your garments, and return to Yahweh, your Elohim. For gracious and compassionate is He, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and He regrets over the evil."

¹⁸ Who is an El as You are, bearing with depravity, and passing over transgression, for the remnant of His allotment? He does not hold fast His anger for the future. For He delights in kindness." ¹⁹ He will return, having compassion on us. He will subdue our depravities. And You wilt fling into the shadowy depths of the sea all our sins."

⁹ Not as yet are you apprehending, neither remembering the five cakes of bread of the five thousand and how many panniers you got? ¹⁰ Neither the seven cakes of bread of the four thousand and how many hampers you got? ¹¹ How is it you are not apprehending that I spoke not to you concerning bread? Now take heed of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees."

³⁹ to whom our fathers are not willing to become obedient, but they thrust him away, and turned to Egypt in their hearts,

¹⁵ For to Moses He is saying, "I shall be merciful to whomever I may be merciful, and I shall be pitying whomever I may be pitying."

⁶ for the laud of the glory of His grace, which graces us in the Beloved:" ⁷ in Whom we are having the deliverance through His blood, the forgiveness of offenses in accord with the riches of His grace,

²⁵ Beware! You should not be refusing Him Who is speaking! For if those escaped not, refusing the One apprizing on earth, much rather we, who are turning from the One from the heavens,

¹² Wherefore I shall ever be about to be reminding you concerning these things, even though you are aware of, and have been established in, the present truth." ¹³ Now I am deeming it just, for as much time as I am in this tabernacle, to be rousing you by a reminder, ¹⁴ being aware that my tabernacle is to be put off swiftly according as our Lord, Jesus Christ, also makes evident to me." ¹⁵ Yet I shall endeavor to have you, after my exodus, to make mention of these things, ever and anon, also."
