³ They will keep guard of you and guard of the entire tent; only to the furnishings of the holy place and to the altar they shall not come near so that they may not die, both they and you.

⁵¹ When the tabernacle is to journey the Levites shall take it down; and when the tabernacle is to encamp the Levites shall set it up. But any alien who comes near shall be put to death.

²⁵ The charge of the sons of Gershon at the tent of appointment was the tabernacle and the tent, its covering and the portiere of the opening of the tent of appointment,

⁷ Yet you and your sons with you shall keep your priesthood as to every matter of the altar and to that inside the curtain. Thus you will serve in the service. As a gift am I giving your priesthood. Yet the alien who comes near shall be put to death.
