¹³ The fear of Yahweh means to hate evil; Pride and pomp and the way of evil And a mouth of duplicity I hate.

³ You multiply not--you speak haughtily--The old saying goes out from your mouth, For a El of knowledge [is] Yahweh, And by Him actions are weighed.

⁴ For You are not an El Whose delight is in wickedness; Evil may not sojourn with You. ⁵ No boasters may set themselves up in front of Your eyes; You hate all contrivers of lawlessness;

¹⁰ Hate evil, you who are loving Yahweh, The One guarding the souls of His benign ones; From the hand of the wicked shall He rescue them."

³ I shall not set a worthless matter in front of my eyes; I hate the doing of those who swerve; It shall not cling to me.

¹⁰⁴ From Your precepts I gain understanding; Therefore I hate every false path.

¹²⁸ Therefore all Your precepts do I hold upright; Every false path do I hate.

⁶ Though Yahweh is exalted, yet He discerns the lowly, And He knows the haughty one from afar."

²⁴ Put away from you a perverse mouth, And devious lips put far from you."

¹² A worthless human, a lawless man Is one who goes about with a perverse mouth,

¹⁶ These are six things Yahweh hates, Even seven that are abhorrences to His soul:" ¹⁷ Exalted eyes, a false tongue, And hands shedding innocent blood;" ¹⁸ A heart engrossed with lawless devisings, Feet hastening to run to evil, ¹⁹ A false witness who blows out lies, And one who instigates quarrels between brothers."

³¹ The mouth of the righteous is producing wisdom, Yet the tongue of duplicity shall be cut off."

⁶ By benignity and faithfulness depravity shall be sheltered, And by the fear of Yahweh a man will withdraw from evil."

¹⁸ Pride goes before a breaking, And a haughty spirit before a stumbling."

¹⁵ Hate evil and love good, and put judgment in the gateway; perhaps Yahweh, Elohim of hosts, will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph."

¹⁷ and each man evil to his associate you must not devise in your heart, and a false oath you must not love; for all these I hate, (averring is Yahweh of hosts)."

⁹ Let love be unfeigned. Abhorring that which is wicked, clinging to good,

²² From everything wicked to the perception, abstain."

¹⁹ Howbeit, the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: The Lord knew those who are His, and, Let everyone who is naming the name of the Lord withdraw from injustice. "

⁵ Likewise, younger men may be subject to the elder, yet all wear the servile apron of humility with one another, for God "is resisting the proud, yet is giving grace to the humble."
