²¹ "Not every one who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

⁵⁰ For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother."

³¹ Which of the two did the will of his father?" They said, "The first." Jesus said to them, "Truly, I say to you, the tax collectors and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.

³⁵ Whoever does the will of God is my brother, and sister, and mother."

²¹ For from within, out of the heart of men, come evil thoughts, fornications, theft, murder, adultery,

¹³ who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.

¹⁷ If anyone is willing to do his will, he shall know whether the teaching is from God or whether I speak on my own authority.

² Certainly not! How can we who died to sin live any longer in it?

¹¹ So you also, consider yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

⁴ Likewise, my brethren, you have died to the law through the body of Christ, so that you may belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we may bear fruit to God.

² Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

⁷ For none of us lives to himself, and none of us dies to himself.

¹⁵ And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.

¹⁹ For through the law I died to the law, so that I might live to God. ²⁰ I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me; and the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

³ Among them we all once lived in the lusts of our flesh, following the desires of flesh and mind, and so we were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.

¹⁷ Now this I affirm and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds,

²² You were taught, with regard to your former manner of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful lusts; ²³ and be renewed in the spirit of your minds, ²⁴ and put on the new nature, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.

⁷ Therefore do not be partners with them; ⁸ for once you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of light

¹⁷ Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

⁶ not in the way of eye-service, as men-pleasers, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart.

⁹ For this reason also, since the day we heard it, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,

⁷ In these you once walked, when you lived in them. ⁸ But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and filthy language from your mouth.

¹² Epaphras, who is one of your number, a servant of Jesus Christ, sends you his greetings, always laboring earnestly for you in his prayers, that you may stand mature and fully assured in all the will of God.

¹⁸ give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

³ For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by men and hating one another. ⁴ But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, ⁵ he saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but because of his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal in the Holy Spirit, ⁶ whom he poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, ⁷ so that we might be justified by his grace and become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. ⁸ This is a trustworthy saying; and concerning these things I want you to speak confidently, so that those who have believed God may be careful to devote themselves to good deeds. These things are excellent and profitable for men.

²¹ equip you with every good thing to do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

¹⁸ Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures.

¹⁴ As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance,

¹ Therefore, put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander.

¹⁴ or to governors as sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to praise those who do right. ¹⁵ For it is God's will that by doing right you should silence the ignorance of foolish men.

¹⁷ And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.
