³ concerning his Son, who was born of the seed of David according to the flesh,

¹ The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham:

⁶ and Jesse the father of King David. David was the father of Solomon by the wife of Uriah,

¹⁶ and Jacob the father of Josnt the husband of Mary, of whom Jesus was born, who is called Christ.

²⁰ But as he considered this, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. ²¹ And she will give birth to a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins." ²² All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet: ²³ "Behold, the virgin shall be with child and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel," which means, "God with us."

¹⁷ And behold, a voice from heaven, saying, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased."

²⁷ And as Jesus passed on from there, two blind men followed him, crying out, "Have mercy on us, Son of David."

²³ And all the people were amazed and said, "Could this be the Son of David?"

²² And behold, a Canaanite woman from that region came out and cried to him, "Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely demon-possessed."

⁴² "What do you think about the Christ? Whose son is he?" They said to him, "The son of David." ⁴³ He said to them, "How is it then that David, inspired by the Spirit, calls him 'Lord', saying, ⁴⁴ 'The Lord said to my Lord, "Sit at my right hand, till I put your enemies under your feet"'? ⁴⁵ If David then calls him 'Lord,' how is he his son?"

⁶³ But Jesus remained silent. And the high priest said to him, "I charge you under oath by the living God: tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God."

⁴³ He trusts in God; let God deliver him now, if he desires him; for he said, 'I am the Son of God.'"

³¹ And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. ³² He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give him the throne of his father David. ³³ And he will reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there will be no end."

³⁵ And the angel answered her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the Holy One to be born will be called the Son of God.

⁶⁹ and has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David,

⁴ And Josnt also went up from Galilee, from the city of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, ⁵ to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife, who was with child. ⁶ And while they were there, the time came for her to be delivered.

¹⁴ And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, the glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

³⁴ And I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God."

⁴⁹ Nathanael answered him, "Rabbi, you are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!"

¹⁶ For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. ¹⁷ For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved. ¹⁸ He who believes in him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

³⁵ The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into his hand. ³⁶ He who believes in the Son has eternal life; he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him."

²⁵ Truly, truly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live.

⁴² Has not the scripture said that the Christ comes from David, and from Bethlehem, the town where David was?"

³⁰ I and the Father are one."

³⁶ do you say of him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, 'You are blaspheming,' because I said, 'I am the Son of God'?

²⁸ Thomas answered him, "My Lord and my God!"

³¹ but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name.

³⁰ And so, because he was a prophet, and knew that God had sworn with an oath to him that he would set one of his descendants on his throne,

¹³ The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus, the one whom you delivered and disowned in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to release him.

³⁶ And as they went along the road they came to some water; and the eunuch said, "Look, here is water! What prevents me from being baptized?"

²⁰ And immediately he began to proclaim Jesus in the synagogues, saying, "He is the Son of God."

²² And after he had removed him, he raised up David to be their king; concerning whom he testified and said, 'I have found in David the son of Jesse a man after my heart, who will do all my will.' ²³ From this man's descendants God has brought to Israel a Savior, Jesus, as he promised.

⁹ For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I mention you always in my prayers,

² For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death. ³ For what the law could not do, in that it was weakened through the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin: he condemned sin in the flesh,

²⁹ For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. ³⁰ And those whom he predestined, he also called; those whom he called, he also justified; and those whom he justified, he also glorified. ³¹ What then shall we say to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? ³² He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all, how will he not also give us all things with him?

⁵ Of them are the patriarchs, and from them, according to the flesh, is the Christ, who is God over all, forever blessed. Amen.

⁹ God is faithful, by whom you were called into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

⁴ But when the time had fully come, God sent forth his Son, born of a woman, born under the law,

¹³ For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of his beloved Son, ¹⁴ in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. ¹⁵ He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

¹⁰ and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead Jesus, who rescues us from the wrath to come.

¹⁶ By common confession, great is the mystery of godliness: he was revealed in the flesh, was vindicated in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.

⁸ Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, descended from David according to my gospel,

³ that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you may have fellowship with us; and our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.

⁸ He who commits sin is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.

²³ And this is his commandment: that we should believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as he has commanded us.

² By this you know the Spirit of God: every Spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, ³ and every spirit which does not confess Jesus is not of God. This is the spirit of the Antichrist, of which you have heard that it was coming, and now it is in the world already.

⁹ In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. ¹⁰ In this is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.

¹⁵ Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.

¹ Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the parent loves the child.

⁵ Who is it that overcomes the world but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

¹⁰ He who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. He who does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given of his Son. ¹¹ And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. ¹² He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. ¹³ I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.

²⁰ And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

⁷ For many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist.

¹⁸ "And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write: 'These are the words of the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and whose feet are like burnished bronze:
