³³ Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

⁶ Forsake follies and live, and go in the way of intelligence.

²⁰ He that walketh with wise [men] becometh wise; but a companion of the foolish will be depraved.

⁴ And Jesus answering said to them, See that no one mislead you.

¹¹ and many false prophets shall arise and shall mislead many;

²⁴ For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall give great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect.

⁶ Your boasting [is] not good. Do ye not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump?

⁹ Do ye not know that unrighteous [persons] shall not inherit [the] kingdom of God? Do not err: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor those who make women of themselves, nor who abuse themselves with men,

⁷ Be not deceived: God is not mocked; for whatever a man shall sow, that also shall he reap.

⁶ Let no one deceive you with vain words, for on account of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.

¹⁰ and in all deceit of unrighteousness to them that perish, because they have not received the love of the truth that they might be saved.

¹⁶ But profane, vain babblings shun, for they will advance to greater impiety, ¹⁷ and their word will spread as a gangrene; of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus; ¹⁸ [men] who as to the truth have gone astray, saying that the resurrection has taken place already; and overthrow the faith of some.

¹⁵ watching lest [there be] any one who lacks the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble [you], and many be defiled by it;

² and many shall follow their dissolute ways, through whom the way of the truth shall be blasphemed.

¹⁸ For [while] speaking great highflown words of vanity, they allure with [the] lusts of [the] flesh, by dissoluteness, those who have just fled those who walk in error, ¹⁹ promising them liberty, while they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a man is subdued, by him is he also brought into slavery. ²⁰ For if after having escaped the pollutions of the world through [the] knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, again entangled, they are subdued by these, their last state is worse than the first.

⁹ And the great dragon was cast out, the ancient serpent, he who is called Devil and Satan, he who deceives the whole habitable world, he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

⁸ and all that dwell on the earth shall do it homage, [every one] whose name had not been written from [the] founding of [the] world in the book of life of the slain Lamb. ⁹ If any one has an ear, let him hear. ¹⁰ If any one [leads] into captivity, he goes into captivity. If any one shall kill with [the] sword, he must with [the] sword be killed. Here is the endurance and the faith of the saints. ¹¹ And I saw another beast rising out of the earth; and it had two horns like to a lamb, and spake as a dragon; ¹² and it exercises all the authority of the first beast before it, and causes the earth and those that dwell in it to do homage to the first beast, whose wound of death was healed. ¹³ And it works great signs, that it should cause even fire to come down from heaven to the earth before men. ¹⁴ And it deceives those that dwell upon the earth by reason of the signs which it was given to it to work before the beast, saying to those that dwell upon the earth to make an image to the beast, which has the wound of the sword, and lived.
