¹ For this Melchisedec, King of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from smiting the kings, and blessed him;

¹⁸ And Melchisedec king of Salem brought out bread and wine. And he was priest of the Most High ?God. ¹⁹ And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the Most High ?God, possessor of heavens and earth. ²⁰ And blessed be the Most High ?God, who has delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him the tenth of all.

¹⁴ Therefore the well was named Beer-lahai-roi: behold, it is between Kadesh and Bered. ¹⁵ And Hagar bore Abram a son; and Abram called the name of his son whom Hagar bore, Ishmael. ¹⁶ And Abram was eighty-six years old when Hagar bore Ishmael to Abram.

² I will call unto God, the Most High; unto ?God that performeth [all] for me.

² And in Salem is his tent, and his dwelling-place in Zion.

³⁵ And they remembered that God was their rock, and ?God, the Most High, their redeemer.

⁵⁶ But they tempted and provoked God, the Most High, and kept not his testimonies,

² Who raised up from the east him whom righteousness calleth to its foot? He gave the nations before him, and caused him to have dominion over kings; he gave them as dust to his sword, as driven stubble to his bow. ³ He pursued them, he passed on in safety, by a way he had never come with his feet.

² It hath seemed good unto me to declare the signs and wonders that the Most High God hath wrought toward me.

¹⁸ O thou king, the Most High God gave Nebuchadnezzar thy father the kingdom, and greatness, and glory, and majesty;

²¹ and he was driven from the sons of men, and his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild asses; they fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was bathed with the dew of heaven; till he knew that the Most High God ruleth over the kingdom of men, and that he appointeth over it whomsoever he will.

⁶ Wherewith shall I come before Jehovah, bow myself before the high God? Shall I come before him with burnt-offerings, with calves of a year old?

⁷ and crying with a loud voice he says, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I adjure thee by God, torment me not.

¹⁷ She, having followed Paul and us, cried saying, These men are bondmen of the Most High God, who announce to you [the] way of salvation.

²⁰ where Jesus is entered as forerunner for us, become for ever a high priest according to the order of Melchisedec.
