²² And the glory which thou hast given me I have given them, that they may be one, as we are one;

⁷ And he calls the twelve to [him]; and he began to send them out two [and] two, and gave to them power over the unclean spirits;

¹⁷ And these signs shall follow those that have believed: in my name they shall cast out demons; they shall speak with new tongues; ¹⁸ they shall take up serpents; and if they should drink any deadly thing it shall not injure them; they shall lay hands upon the infirm, and they shall be well. ¹⁹ The Lord therefore, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven, and sat at the right hand of God. ²⁰ And they, going forth, preached everywhere, the Lord working with [them], and confirming the word by the signs following upon [it].

³⁰ that ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

¹⁴ And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us (and we have contemplated his glory, a glory as of an only-begotten with a father), full of grace and truth;

¹⁶ for of his fulness we all have received, and grace upon grace.

²⁰ In that day ye shall know that I [am] in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

¹⁸ If the world hate you, know that it has hated me before you. ¹⁹ If ye were of the world, the world would love its own; but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on account of this the world hates you.

²⁴ Father, [as to] those whom thou hast given me, I desire that where I am they also may be with me, that they may behold my glory which thou hast given me, for thou lovedst me before [the] foundation of [the] world.

²¹ [Jesus] said therefore again to them, Peace [be] to you: as the Father sent me forth, I also send you. ²² And having said this, he breathed into [them], and says to them, Receive [the] Holy Spirit: ²³ whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted to them; whose soever [sins] ye retain, they are retained.

⁴¹ They therefore went their way from [the] presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to be dishonoured for the name.

¹⁵ But I have written to you the more boldly, [brethren,] in part, as putting you in mind, because of the grace given to me by God, ¹⁶ for me to be minister of Christ Jesus to the nations, carrying on as a sacrificial service the [message of] glad tidings of God, in order that the offering up of the nations might be acceptable, sanctified by [the] Holy Spirit. ¹⁷ I have therefore [whereof to] boast in Christ Jesus in the things which pertain to God. ¹⁸ For I will not dare to speak anything of the things which Christ has not wrought by me, for [the] obedience of [the] nations, by word and deed, ¹⁹ in [the] power of signs and wonders, in [the] power of [the] Spirit of God; so that I, from Jerusalem, and in a circuit round to Illyricum, have fully preached the glad tidings of the Christ; ²⁰ and so aiming to announce the glad tidings, not where Christ has been named, that I might not build upon another`s foundation;

¹⁸ But *we* all, looking on the glory of the Lord, with unveiled face, are transformed according to the same image from glory to glory, even as by [the] Lord [the] Spirit.

²⁰ We are ambassadors therefore for Christ, God as [it were] beseeching by us, we entreat for Christ, Be reconciled to God.

¹ But [as] fellow-workmen, we also beseech that ye receive not the grace of God in vain:

²⁰ being built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the corner-stone,

²⁹ because to you has been given, as regards Christ, not only the believing on him but the suffering for him also,

²⁴ Now, I rejoice in sufferings for you, and I fill up that which is behind of the tribulations of Christ in my flesh, for his body, which is the assembly;

⁵ a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, to the end that ye should be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for the sake of which ye also suffer; ⁶ if at least [it is a] righteous thing with God to render tribulation to those that trouble you, ⁷ and to you that are troubled repose with us, at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven, with [the] angels of his power, ⁸ in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who know not God, and those who do not obey the glad tidings of our Lord Jesus Christ; ⁹ who shall pay the penalty [of] everlasting destruction from [the] presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his might, ¹⁰ when he shall have come to be glorified in his saints, and wondered at in all that have believed, (for our testimony to you has been believed,) in that day.

³ that which we have seen and heard we report to you, that *ye* also may have fellowship with us; and our fellowship [is] indeed with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

²⁴ And he that keeps his commandments abides in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit which he has given to us.

¹⁴ And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
