¹ But of the times and moments, brethren, you need not, that we should write to you:

³ And when he was sitting on mount Olivet, the disciples came to him privately, saying: Tell us when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of thy coming and of the consummation of the world?

³⁶ But of that day and hour no one knoweth: no, not the angels of heaven, but the Father alone.

³⁰ Amen, I say to you that this generation shall not pass until all these things be done. ³¹ Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my word shall not pass away. ³² But of that day or hour no man knoweth, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father.

⁷ But he said to them: It is not for you to know the time or moments, which the Father hath put in his own power:

¹ For concerning the ministry that is done towards the saints, it is superfluous for me to write unto you.

⁹ But as touching the charity of brotherhood, we have no need to write to you: for yourselves have learned of God to love one another.

³ Dearly beloved, taking all care to write unto you concerning your common salvation, I was under a necessity to write unto you: to beseech you to contend earnestly for the faith once delivered to the saints.
