¹² When you came to appear before me, who required these things at your hands, that you should walk in my courts?

¹⁷ Thrice a year shall all thy males appear before the Lord thy God.

²³ Three times in the year all thy males shall appear in the sight of the almighty Lord the God of Israel.

¹⁶ Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before the Lord thy God in the place which he shall choose: in the feast of unleavened bread, in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles. No one shall appear with his hands empty before the Lord:

⁸ I will shew thee, O man, what is good, and what the Lord requireth of thee: Verily to do judgment, and to love mercy, and to walk solicitous with thy God.

⁵ And all their works they do for to be seen of men. For they make their phylacteries broad and enlarge their fringes.
