And all Yisra El gathers to David to Hebron, saying, Behold, your bone and your flesh. ² Also three yesters ago - even when Shaul was sovereign, you led out and brought in Yisra El: and Yah Veh your Elohim said to you, Tend my people Yisra El and be eminent over my people Yisra El! ³ And all the elders of Yisra El come to the sovereign to Hebron: and David cuts a covenant with them in Hebron at the face of Yah Veh: and they anoint David sovereign over Yisra El - according to the word of Yah Veh by the hand of Shemu El. ⁴ And David and all Yisra El go to Yeru Shalem - which is Yebus - of the Yebusiy the settlers of the land. ⁵ And the settlers of Yebus say to David, Come not here. - and David captures the hunthold of Siyon - the city of David. ⁶ And David says, Whoever smites the Yebusiy first becomes head and governor. So Yah Ab the son of Seruyah ascends first and becomes head: ⁷ and David settles in the hunthold; so they call it City of David: ⁸ and he builds the city all around - from Millo and all around: and Yah Ab enlivens the survivors of the city: ⁹ and in walking, David walks greater and greater: for Yah Veh Sabaoth is with him. ¹⁰
THE HEADS OF THE MIGHTY OF DAVID
And these are heads of the mighty of David - who strengthen themselves with him in his sovereigndom and with all Yisra El, to have him reign according to the word of Yah Veh concerning Yisra El. ¹¹ And this is the number of the mighty of David: Yashob Am a son of the Hachmoniy, the head of the tertiaries: he wakened his spear against three hundred - pierced at one time. ¹² And after him El Azar the son of Dodo the Ach Oachiy of the three mighty; ¹³ he is with David at Pas Dammin; and there the Peleshethiy gathered to war; and there was an allotment of field full of barley; and the people fled the face of the Peleshethiy; ¹⁴ and they set themselves midst that allotment and rescued it; and slaughtered the Peleshethiy; and Yah Veh saved them by a great salvation. ¹⁵ And three of the thirty heads descend the rock to David - to the cave of Adullam: and the camp of the Peleshethiy encamp in the valley of Rephaim: ¹⁶ and David is then in the hold and the Peleshethiy station is then at Beth Lechem. ¹⁷ And David desired and said, Oh that one give me drink of the water of the well of Beth Lechem at the portal! ¹⁸ And the three split through the camp of the Peleshethiy and bailed water from the well of Beth Lechem by the portal; and lifted and brought to David. And David willed to not drink of it but poured it out to Yah Veh ¹⁹ and said, My Elohim, far be it from me to work this: I - Drink I the blood of these men with their souls? For by their souls they bring it. - and he willed to not drink. ¹⁴ And Laban says to him, Surely you are my bone and my flesh. - and he settles with him a month of days.

²² and they ascend from the south and come to Hebron; where Achi Man, Sheshay and Talmay are - the birthed of Anak. - and Hebron was built seven years at the face of Soan in Misrayim.

¹⁵ - in setting, set him sovereign over you, whom Yah Veh your Elohim chooses: set one from among your brothers sovereign over you: you cannot give a man - a stranger over you, who is not your brother.

² Word, I beseech you, in the ears of all the masters of Shechem, which is better for you: either that all the sons of Yerub Baal - seventy men reign over you? Or that one reign over you? Remember also that I am your bone and your flesh.

And so be it, after this, David asks of Yah Veh, saying, Ascend I into one of the cities of Yah Hudah? And Yah Veh says to him, Ascend. And David says, Whither ascend I? And he says, To Hebron.

Then all the scions of Yisra El come to David to Hebron, and say, saying, Behold, we are your bone and your flesh. ² Also three yesters ago, when Shaul was sovereign over us, it was you who brought out and brought in Yisra El: and Yah Veh said to you, Tend my people Yisra El! Be eminent over Yisra El! ³ So all the elders of Yisra El come to the sovereign to Hebron; and sovereign David cuts a covenant with them in Hebron at the face of Yah Veh: and they anoint David sovereign over Yisra El. ⁴ David is a son of thirty years when he begins to reign; and he reigns forty years. ⁵ In Hebron he reigns over Yah Hudah seven years and six months: and in Yeru Shalem he reigns thirty-three years over all Yisra El and Yah Hudah. ⁶ And the sovereign and his men go to Yeru Shalem to the Yebusiy, the settlers of the land: who say to David, saying, Unless you turn aside the blind and the lame, enter not here: and saying, David enters not here. ⁷ And David captures the stronghold of Siyon the city of David: ⁸ and David says on that day, Whoever touches to the culvert, and smites the Yebusiy and the lame and the blind, whom the soul of David hates. - because they say, The blind and the lame enter not into the house. ⁹ So David settles in the stronghold, and calls it the city of David; and David builds the house all around from Millo: ¹⁰ and in walking, David walks - walks and greatens; and Yah Veh Elohim Sabaoth is with him. ¹¹ And Hiram sovereign of Sor sends angels to David - and cedar trees and artificers of timber and artificers of the stone for the wall; and they build David a house: ¹² and David perceives that Yah Veh establishes him sovereign over Yisra El; and that he lifts his sovereigndom for sake of his people Yisra El. ¹³ And David takes more concubines and women from Yeru Shalem, after coming from Hebron: and sons and daughters are birthed to David. ¹⁴ And these are the names of those birthed unto him in Yeru Shalem: Shammuah and Shobab and Nathan and Shelomoh ¹⁵ and Yibchar and Eli Shua and Nepheg and Yaphia ¹⁶ and Eli Shama and El Ad and Eli Phelet.

¹⁰ and Abi Shalom sends spies throughout all the scions of Yisra El, saying, As soon as you hear the voice of the shophar, say, Abi Shalom reigns in Hebron.

¹² You are my brothers - you are my bones and my flesh. Why then are you the last to return the sovereign? ¹³ And say to Amasa, Are you not of my bone and of my flesh? Elohim work thus to me and add also if you become not governor of the host at my face all days under Yah Ab.

¹¹ and the days David reigns over Yisra El are forty years: he reigns seven years in Hebron and reigns thirty-three years in Yeru Shalem:

And these are the numbers of the heads equipped to the hostility who come to David to Hebron to turn the sovereigndom of Shaul to him according to the mouth of Yah Veh ²⁴ - the sons of Yah Hudah who bear shield and javelin: six thousand and eight hundred equipped to the hostility. ²⁵ Of the sons of Shimon - mighty of valour for the hostility: seven thousand and one hundred. ²⁶ Of the sons of Levi: four thousand and six hundred; ²⁷ and Yah Yada is eminent of the Aharoniy and three thousand and seven hundred with him; ²⁸ and Sadoq - a lad mighty of valour and twenty-two governors of the house of his father. ²⁹ And of the sons of Ben Yamin the brothers of Shaul: three thousand; for until now the increase guarded the guard of the house of Shaul. ³⁰ And of the sons of Ephrayim: twenty thousand and eight hundred - mighty of valour; men of name throughout the house of their fathers. ³¹ And of the half rod of Menash Sheh: eighteen thousand - appointed by name to come and have David reign. ³² And of the sons of Yissachar who know discernment of the times; to know what Yisra El ought to work; their heads: two hundred; with all their brothers at their mouth. ³³ Of Zebulun such as go to hostility; lined up for battle with all instruments of war: fifty thousand who line up for battle without a double heart. ³⁴ And of Naphtali: a thousand governors and thirty-seven thousand with them with shield and spear. ³⁵ And of the Daniy: twenty-eight thousand and six hundred lined up in battle. ³⁶ And of Asher such as go to hostility to line up for battle: forty thousand. ³⁷ And on the other side of Yarden, of the Reu Beniy and the Gadiy and of the half scion of Menash Sheh; a hundred and twenty thousand; with all manner of instruments of hostility for the war. ³⁸ All these men of war, who line up for battle, come to Hebron with a heart of shalom to have David reign over all Yisra El: and all the rest also of Yisra El are of one heart to have David reign. ³⁹ And there they are with David - three days -eating and drinking: for their brothers had prepared for them. ⁴⁰ And those near them bring bread on he burros and on camels and on mules and on oxen; and food, flour, lumps of figs and raisincakes and wine and oil and oxen and flocks in abundance to Yissachar and Zebulun and Naphtali; for there is cheer in Yisra El.

³⁰ for we are members of his body - of his flesh and of his bones.

¹⁷ to go out at their face and go in at their face and to lead them out and to bring them in; so that the witness of Yah Veh become not as flocks having no tender.

SHEMU EL IN BETH LECHEM
And Yah Veh says to Shemu El, How long mourn you for Shaul, seeing I refuse him to reign over Yisra El? Fill your horn with oil and go! I send you to Yishay the Beth Lechemiy: for I see a sovereign among his sons.

¹³ Then Shemu El takes the horn of oil, and anoints him midst his brothers: and the Spirit of Yah Veh prospers on David from that day onward. - and Shemu El rises and goes to Ramah.

¹³ and Shaul turns aside from him and sets him his governor over a thousand: and he goes and comes at the face of the people.

² Also three yesters ago, when Shaul was sovereign over us, it was you who brought out and brought in Yisra El: and Yah Veh said to you, Tend my people Yisra El! Be eminent over Yisra El!

⁷ In all wherein I walked with all the sons of Yisra El worded I a word with one of the scions of Yisra El, whom I misvahed to tend my people Yisra El, saying, Why not build me a house of cedar?

⁹ give your servant a hearing heart to judge your people - to discern between good and evil: for who is able to judge this - your grievous people?

⁷ Go, say to Yarob Am, Thus says Yah Veh Elohim of Yisra El, Because I exalted you from among the people; and gave you eminence over my people Yisra El;

⁷¹ after the sucklings, great with young, he brought him to tend Yaaqov his people and Yisra El his inheritance;

¹¹ He tends his drove as a tender: he gathers the lambs with his arm, and bears them in his bosom, and gently guides the suckling.

⁴ Behold, I give him - a witness to the nations - eminent and misvaher to the nations.

¹⁵ and according to my heart, I give you tenders to tend you with knowledge and comprehension:

² But you, Beth Lechem Ephrath, being little among the thousands of Yah Hudah, from you he comes to me to become sovereign in Yisra El; whose proceeds are from antiquity - from days eternal.

⁴ and he stands and tends in the strength of Yah Veh in the pomp of the name of Yah Veh his Elohim: and there they settle: for now he greatens to the finalities of the earth:

⁶ And you Beth Lechem, in the land of Yah Hudah, are not the least among the governors of Yah Hudah: for from you comes a Governor, to shepherd my people Yisra El. ^{Michah 5:2}

⁴ and whenever he puts forth his own sheep he goes ahead of them; and the sheep follow him; for they know his voice:

¹¹ And Yiphtach goes with the elders of Gilad; and the people set him their head and commander: and Yiphtach words all his words at the face of Yah Veh in Mispeh.

¹⁵ And all the people go to Gilgal; and have Shaul reign in Gilgal at the face of Yah Veh; and sacrifice sacrifices of shelamim at the face of Yah Veh; and Shaul and all the men of Yisra El cheer mightily.

²⁸ And Shemu El says to him, Yah Veh rips the sovereigndom of Yisra El from you this day; and gives it to your friend - better than you:

³ and call Yishay to the sacrifice and I have you know what to work: and anoint to me whom I say to you.

And he sends and brings him in: and he is ruddy and of beautiful eyes and goodly to see. And Yah Veh says, Rise! Anoint him! For this is he. ¹³ Then Shemu El takes the horn of oil, and anoints him midst his brothers: and the Spirit of Yah Veh prospers on David from that day onward. - and Shemu El rises and goes to Ramah.

¹⁸ And the two cut a covenant at the face of Yah Veh: and David settles in the forest and Yah Nathan goes to his house.

¹⁷ And Yah Veh works to himself as he worded by my hand: for Yah Veh rips the sovereigndom from your hand and gives it to your friend - to David:

⁴ and the men of Yah Hudah come and there they anoint David sovereign over the house of Yah Hudah. And they tell David, saying, The men of Yabesh Gilad entombed Shaul.

³ So all the elders of Yisra El come to the sovereign to Hebron; and sovereign David cuts a covenant with them in Hebron at the face of Yah Veh: and they anoint David sovereign over Yisra El.

¹⁷ And Yah Yada cuts a covenant between Yah Veh and between the sovereign and between the people to be a people to Yah Veh; and between the sovereign and between the people.

³⁰ And from Megiddo, his servants ride him in a chariot - dead; and bring him to Yeru Shalem and entomb him in his own tomb. And the people of the land take Yah Achaz the son of Yoshi Yah and anoint him and have him reign in the stead of his father.

³ and all the congregation cuts a covenant with the sovereign in the house of Elohim. And he says to them, Behold, the son of the sovereign reigns, as Yah Veh worded concerning the sons of David.

¹⁶ and the Yebusiy and the Emoriy and the Girgashiy

²¹ and the Emoriy and the Kenaaniy and the Girgashiy and the Yebusiy.

¹⁷ and I say, I ascend you from the humiliation of Misrayim to the land of the Kenaaniy and the Hethiy and the Emoriy and the Perizziy and the Hivviy and the Yebusiy - to a land flowing with milk and honey.

⁸ and the border ascends by the valley of the son of Hinnom/Burning to the south shoulder of the Yebusiy which is Yeru Shalem; and the border ascends to the top of the mountain at the face of the valley of Hinnom/Burning seaward at the end of Gaymek Rephaim northward;

⁶³ As for the Yebusiy, the settlers of Yeru Shalem, the sons of Yah Hudah cannot dispossess them; but the Yebusiy settle with the sons of Yah Hudah at Yeru Shalem to this day.

²⁸ and Sela, Chiliarch and Yebusi which is Yeru Shalem Gibath and Qiryath - fourteen cities with their courts. - this is the inheritance of the sons of Ben Yamin according to their families.

²¹ and the sons of Ben Yamin dispossess not the Yebusiy who settle Yeru Shalem; but the Yebusiy settle with the sons of Ben Yamin in Yeru Shalem to this day.

¹⁰ And the man wills to not stay overnight, and he rises and goes and comes over against Yebus which is Yeru Shalem: and there are a pair of harnessed he burros with him, and his concubine is with him. ¹¹ And they are by Yebus, and the day subdues mightily; and the lad says to his adoni, Come, I beseech you, turn in into this city of the Yebusiy and stay overnight therein. ¹² And his adoni says to him, We turn not aside into the city of a stranger who is not of the sons of Yisra El: but we pass over to Gibah.

⁹ if he is able to fight me and to smite me, then we become your servants: and if I prevail against him and smite him, then you become our servants and serve us. ¹⁰ And the Peleshethiy say, I reproach the ranks of Yisra El this day; give me a man, to fight together.

²⁶ And David says to the men who stand by him, saying, What work you to the man who smites this Peleshethiy and turns aside the reproach from Yisra El? Who is this uncircumcised Peleshethiy, to reproach the ranks of the living Elohim?

³⁶ your servant smote both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Peleshethiy becomes as one of them, seeing he reproaches the ranks of the living Elohim.

⁹ So David settles in the stronghold, and calls it the city of David; and David builds the house all around from Millo:

¹⁰ And David wills to not turn aside the ark of Yah Veh to him to the city of David: and David spreads it to the house of Obed Edom the Gittiy:

¹² And they tell sovereign David, saying, Yah Veh blesses the house of Obed Edom and all he has because of the ark of Elohim. - and David goes and ascends the ark of Elohim from the house of Obed Edom to the city of David with cheerfulness.

THE ARK IN THE HOUSE OF YAH VEH
Then Shelomoh congregates the elders of Yisra El and all the heads of the rods - the hierarchs of the fathers of the sons of Yisra El to sovereign Shelomoh in Yeru Shalem - to ascend the ark of the covenant of Yah Veh from the city of David - Siyon:

⁷ and David settles in the hunthold; so they call it City of David:

² then Shelomoh congregates the elders of Yisra El and all the heads of the rods - hierarch of the fathers of the sons of Yisra El to Yeru Shalem; to ascend the ark of the covenant of Yah Veh from the city of David - Siyon.

⁶ And I - I anointed my sovereign on my holy mount Siyon;

¹¹ Psalm to Yah Veh who settles in Siyon; tell his exploits among the people:

² Beautiful for elevation the joy of the whole earth - mount Siyon on the flanks of the north; the city of the great Sovereign.

¹² Surround Siyon! Surround her! Scribe to the towers! ¹³ Set your heart on her trenches; contemplate her citadels: scribe it to the generation after.

⁶⁸ but chose the scion of Yah Hudah - the mount Siyon he loved:

² Yah Veh loves the portals of Siyon more than all the tabernacles of Yaaqov:

⁵ And of Siyon it says, This man and that man were birthed in her; and Elyon himself establishes her.

⁵ for there the thrones of judgment settle - the thrones of the house of David.

¹ A Song of Degrees. They who confide in Yah Veh are as mount Siyon; it totters not; it settles eternally. ² As the mountains surround Yeru Shalem, thus Yah Veh surrounds his people - from this time - even eternally.

¹³ For Yah Veh chose Siyon; he desires it for his settlement:

¹¹ Yah Veh accomplishes his fury - pours out his fierce wrath and kindled a fire in Siyon; and it consumes the foundations. ¹² The sovereigns of the earth and all who settle the world, had never trusted for the tribulator and the enemy to enter into the portals of Yeru Shalem.

³³ exactly as scribed, Behold, I place in Siyon a stumblingstone and a rock of scandal: and whoever trusts thereon, shames not. ^{Psalm 118:22, Isaiah 8:14, 28:16}

²² But you come to Mount Siyon to the city of the living Elohim - the Yeru Shalem of the heavenlies and to myriads of angels,

THE SEVEN VISIONS THE FIRST VISION
And I perceive, and behold, a Lamb standing on the Mount Siyon: and with him an hundred and forty-four thousand having the name of his Father scribed in their foreheads.

¹⁶ And Kaleb says, He who smites Qiryath Sepher and captures it, I give him Achsah my daughter to woman. ¹⁷ - and Othni El the son of Qenaz, the brother of Kaleb, captures it: and he gives him Achsah his daughter to woman.

²⁵ and the men - the Yisra Eliy say, See you this man who ascends? He ascends to reproach Yisra El: and so be it, the man who smites him, the sovereign enriches him with great riches and gives him his daughter and works to liberate the house of his father in Yisra El.

¹⁸ And three sons of Seruyah are there: Yah Ab and Abi Shai and Asa El: and Asa El is as swift of foot as one of the gazelles in the field:

²⁷ And Abi Ner returns to Hebron and Yah Ab turns him aside midst the portal to word with him serenely; and smites him under the fifth, so that he dies for the blood of Asa El his brother.

¹⁶ And Yah Ab the son of Seruyah is over the host; and Yah Shaphat the son of Achiy Lud is remembrancer;

²³ And Yah Ab is over all the host of Yisra El: and Bena Yah the son of Yah Yada is over the executioners and over the couriers:

⁷ And David captures the stronghold of Siyon the city of David:

⁶ and all the masters of Shechem and all the house of Millo gather together and go and have sovereign Abi Melech reign by the mighty oak of the station in Shechem.

²⁰ and if not, fire comes from Abi Melech to consume the masters of Shechem and the house of Millo; and fire comes from the masters of Shechem and from the house of Millo and consumes Abi Melech.

¹⁵ and this is the word of the vassal sovereign Shelomoh lifts to build the house of Yah Veh and his own house and Millo and the wall of Yeru Shalem and Hasor and Megiddo and Gezer.

²⁷ and this is the word that he lifts a hand against the sovereign: Shelomoh built Millo and shut the breaches of the city of David his father:

²⁰ And his servants rise and conspire a conspiracy and smite Yah Ash in the house of Millo, which descends to Silla.

² and he says at the face of his brothers and the men of valour of Shomeron, and says, What work these languid Yah Hudiym? Forsake they to themselves? Sacrifice they? Finish they in a day? Enliven they the stones from the heaps of the dust that are burnt?

THE HOUSE OF DAVID STRENGTHENS
And the war is long between the house of Shaul and between the house of David: and David walks on strengthened and the house of Saul walks on poor.

¹⁰ and in walking, David walks - walks and greatens; and Yah Veh Elohim Sabaoth is with him.

²⁰ and Pinechas the son of El Azar formerly eminent over them; Yah Veh is with him.

⁴ for Mordekay is great in the house of the sovereign and his fame goes throughout all the jurisdictions; for this man Mordekay walks and greatens.

⁹ and the just holds his way; and in strengthening, he who has pure hands, strengthens.

⁷ Yah Veh Sabaoth is with us; the Elohim of Yaaqov is our secure loft. Selah.

⁹ Be broken, O you people - be broken; and hearken, all you of lands afar: gird, and be broken; gird, and be broken: ¹⁰ in counselling, counsel; and it breaks; word the word, and it rises not: for El is with us.
