⁵ because David worked straight in the eyes of Yah Veh and turned not aside from all he misvahed him all the days of his life, except only, in the word of Uri Yah the Hethiy:

³ And David sends and enquires after the woman and says, Is not this Bath Sheba the daughter of Eli Am the woman of Uri Yah the Hethiy? ⁴ And David sends angels and takes her; and she comes in to him and he lies down with her; and she hallows herself from her foulness and returns to her house.

You smote Uri Yah the Hethiy with the sword and took his woman to be your woman and slaughtered him with the sword by the sons of Ammon: ¹⁰ and now the sword turns not aside from your house eternally; finally, you despised me and took the woman of Uri Yah the Hethiy to be your woman.

⁴ And you, if you walk at my face, as David your father walked in integrity of heart and in straightness; to work according to all I misvah you and guard my statutes and my judgments;

⁸ and ripped the sovereigndom from the house of David; and gave it to you: and you became not as my servant David - who guarded my misvoth - who walked after me with all his heart - to work only, straight in my eyes:

³ And he walks in all the sins his father worked at his face: and his heart is not at shalom with Yah Veh his Elohim as the heart of David his father:

² And he works straight in the eyes of Yah Veh and walks in all the way of David his father and turns not aside to the right or to the left.
