How much more, if we come to Qeilah against the ranks of the Peleshethiy? ⁴ And David adds again to ask Yah Veh: and Yah Veh answers him and says, Rise! Descend to Qeilah! For I give the Peleshethiy into your hand. ⁵ So David and his men go to Qeilah and fight the Peleshethiy and drive their chattel and smite them with a great stroke: thus David saves the settlers of Qeilah. ⁶
SHAUL PURSUES DAVID
And so be it, Abi Athar the son of Achiy Melech flees to David to Qeilah, and he descends with an ephod in his hand: ⁷ and they tell Shaul that David comes to Qeilah. And Shaul says, Elohim recognizes him into my hand; for he shut himself in by entering a city with doors and bars. ⁸ And Shaul hearkens all the people to war to descend to Qeilah to besiege David and his men. ⁹ And David knows Shaul plots evil against him; and he says to Abi Athar the priest, Bring near the ephod. ¹⁰ And David says, O Yah Veh Elohim of Yisra El, In hearing, your servant hears that Shaul seeks to come to Qeilah to ruin the city for my sake: ¹¹ The masters of Qeilah, shut they me into his hand? And Yah Veh says, He descends. ¹² Then David says, The masters of Qeilah, shut they me and my men into the hand of Shaul? And Yah Veh says, They shut you. ¹³ Then David and his men - about six hundred men rise and go from Qeilah: and in walking, they walk. And they tell Shaul that David escapes from Qeilah; and he ceases to go: ¹⁴ and David settles in the wilderness in huntholds and settles in a mountain in the wilderness of Ziph; and Shaul seeks him every day but Elohim gives him not into his hand: ¹⁵ and David sees that Shaul goes to seek his soul: and David is in the wilderness of Ziph in a forest: ¹⁶ and Yah Nathan, the son of Shaul rises and goes to David into the forest and strengthens his hand in Elohim. ¹⁷ And he says to him, Awe not: for the hand of Shaul my father finds you not; and you reign over Yisra El and I become second to you; as Shaul my father also knows. ¹⁸ And the two cut a covenant at the face of Yah Veh: and David settles in the forest and Yah Nathan goes to his house. ¹⁹ And the Ziphiy ascend to Shaul to Gibah, saying, Is not David hiding himself with us in huntholds in the forest in the hill of Hachilah on the right of Yeshimon? ²⁰ Now, O sovereign, descend - according as all your soul yearns to descend; and our part is to shut him into the hand of the sovereign. ²¹ And Shaul says, Blessed - you of Yah Veh; for you compassion me. ²² Go, I beseech you, prepare yet, and know and see his place where his foot is. PATTERN FOR THE EPHOD MANTLE
And work the mantle of the ephod totally of blue.

¹⁶ - I also work this to you: I visit terror over you - emaciation and the burning ague to finish off the eyes; and moping of soul: and you seed your seed in vain for your enemies to eat.

And so be it, after the death of Yah Shua, the sons of Yisra El ask Yah Veh, saying, Who ascends for us against the Kenaaniy to begin to fight against them?

⁴ and encamp against them and ruin the produce of the earth unto the entering Azzah; and no invigoration survives for Yisra El - neither lamb nor ox nor he burro:

And an angel comes from Yah Veh, who settles under an oak in Ophrah - of Yah Ash the Abi Ezeriy: and his son Gidon threshes wheat by the winepress so that it flees from the face of the Midyaniy.

And so be it, Shaul returns from after the Peleshethiy, and they tell him, saying, Behold, David is in the wilderness of En Gedi.

⁴ And the men of David say to him, Behold the day of which Yah Veh says to you, Behold, I give your enemy into your hand, to work to him as it well-pleases your eyes. And David rises and cuts off the border of the mantle undercover of Shaul. ⁵ And so be it, afterward, the heart of David smites him, because he cut off the border of Shaul: ⁶ and he says to his men, Far be it, that I work this word to my adoni, the anointed of Yah Veh - to send my hand against him seeing he is the anointed of Yah Veh.

And the Ziphiy come to Shaul to Gibah, saying, Is David not hiding in the hill of Hachilah at the face of Yeshimon?

³ and Shaul encamps in the hill of Hachilah at the face of Yeshimon, by the way. And David settles in the wilderness and he sees that Shaul comes after him into the wilderness:

⁸ Then Abi Shai says to David, Elohim shuts your enemy into your hand this day: now let me smite him, I beseech you, with the spear even to the earth one time - and not a second time. ⁹ And David says to Abi Shai, Ruin him not: for who may send his hand against the anointed of Yah Veh and be exonorated?

And David says in his heart, And now I become scraped away one day by the hand of Shaul: there is naught better for me than to speedily escape into the land of the Peleshethiy; so that Shaul quits seeking me any more in any border of Yisra El: and in escaping, I escape from his hand.

⁶ And Shaul asks of Yah Veh, and Yah Veh answers him not - neither by dreams nor by Urim nor by prophets.

⁶ and David is mighty depressed; for the people say of stoning him, because the soul of all the people embitters - every man for his sons and for his daughters. Overtake them? And he says to him, Pursue! In overtaking, overtake! And David says, Remain there yet any of the house of Shaul to work mercy for sake of Yah Nathan?

¹⁴ And David says to all his servants with him at Yeru Shalem, Rise! Flee! For in escaping, we escape not the face of Abi Shalom. Hasten to go, lest he hasten and overtake us and drive evil on us and smite the city with the mouth of the sword.

²⁰ Yesterday you come - and this day do I have you wander in going with us? Seeing that I go wherever I go, return - return with your brothers: mercy and truth be with you.

¹ He who settles in the covert of Elyon stays under the shadow of Shadday. ² I say of Yah Veh, My refuge and my stronghold; my Elohim; in him I confide:

¹⁰ The wicked sees and vexes - gnashes his teeth and melts away; the desire of the wicked destructs.

³ the cords of death surround me and the straits of sheol find me: I find tribulation and grief:

⁸ Better to seek refuge in Yah Veh than to confide in humanity;

³⁰ There is neither wisdom nor discernment nor counsel against Yah Veh.

⁹ Oil and incense cheer the heart; thus the sweetness of the friend of a man by counsel of the soul.

¹⁷ Iron sharpens iron; thus a man sharpens the face of his friend.

¹⁵ As a growling lion and a ranging bear; thus a wicked sovereign over the poor people.

¹² A sovereign who hearkens to false words - all his ministers are wicked.

²⁶ Many seek the face of the sovereign; and the judgment of man is from Yah Veh.

⁹ Two are better than one because they have a good hire for their toil; ¹⁰ for if they fall, the one raises his companion: but woe to the one when he falls, who has no second to raise him. ¹¹ Yes, if two lie together, they heat; but how warms the one? ¹² And if one prevails against him, two withstand him: a triple thread is not quickly torn.

¹⁴ a little city and few men within; and a great sovereign came against it and surrounded it and built great lairs against it: ¹⁵ and within they found a poor wise man; and by his wisdom he rescued the city; yet no human remembered that same poor man.

³ strengthen the weak hands and strengthen the faltering knees. ⁴ Say to the hasty heart, Be strong! Awe not! Behold, your Elohim! Avengement comes - the dealing of Elohim; he comes and saves you.

¹⁰ awe not; for I am with you: look not around; for I am your Elohim: I strengthen you; yes, I help you; yes, I uphold you with the right of my justness.

¹⁴ Awe not, you maggot Yaaqov, and you men of Yisra El; I help you - an oracle of Yah Veh your redeemer, the Holy One of Yisra El.

¹⁷ No instrument formed against you prospers; and every tongue rising against you in judgment, you declare wicked. This is the inheritance of the servants of Yah Veh and their justness is of me - an oracle of Yah Veh.

⁵ Hear the word of Yah Veh, you who tremble at his word; your brothers who hate you, who cast you out for sake of my name, say, Yah Veh is honored: and we see your cheerfulness, and they shame:

²³ O Yah Veh, I know that the way of humanity is not within humanity: it is not within man who walks to establish his paces.

So Yah Hudah takes a squad and attendants of the archpriests and Pharisees, and goes there with lanterns and lamps and weapons.

³⁹ but if it is of Elohim, you cannot disintegrate it; lest ever you are even found to be Elohim-opponents.

²⁴ but Shaul knows of their plotting: and they observe the gates day and night to take him out:

⁶ and being aware, they flee to Lystra and Derbe - cities of Lycaonia, and to the surrounding region:

And when we come to Rome, the centurion delivers the prisoners to the arch warrior: but allows Paulos to abide by himself with a warrior to guard him.

NINE QUESTIONS, DIRECT AND RHETORICAL
So what say we to these? If Elohim is for us, who is against us?

²⁴ whenever I depart to Spania, I come to you: for I hope to observe you in my going through and have you forward me, whenever you first partly enrich me.

⁸ For we will not, brothers, that you be unknowing of our tribulation which became us in Asia; that we were excessively burdened beyond dynamis insomuch that we even despaired of living:

¹⁰ Finally, my brothers, be dynamized in Adonay and in the power of his might.

¹ ENDURING HARDSHIP

¹¹ the persecutions, the sufferings; such as became me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what manner persecutions I endured: and Adonay rescued me from all.
