And the Peleshethiy take the ark of Elohim and bring it from Eben Ezer to Ashdod:

⁸ So they send and gather all the ringleaders of the Peleshethiy to them and say, What work we with the ark of Elohim of Yisra El? And they say, The ark of Elohim of Yisra El goes to Gath. And they turn around the ark of Elohim of Yisra El:

¹⁰ So they send the ark of Elohim to Eqron: and so be it, as the ark of Elohim comes to Eqron, the Eqroniy cry out, saying, They turn around the ark of Elohim of Yisra El to us, to deathify us and our people.

⁴ Then they say, What return we to him for the guilt? They say, Five golden hemorrhoids and five golden mice, according to the number of the ringleaders of the Peleshethiy: for one plague is on you all and on your ringleaders.

²⁰ Neither tell in Gath, nor evangelize in the outskirts of Ashqelon; lest the daughters of the Peleshethiy cheer, lest the daughters of the uncircumcised jump for joy.

⁵ Ashkelon sees and awes; Azzah also sees and writhes mightily; and Eqron shames for her expectation; and the sovereign destructs from Azzah, and Ashkelon settles not: ⁶ and a mongrel settles in Ashdod, and I cut off the pomp of the Peleshethiym:
