And Shemu El judges the sons of Yisra El in Mispeh. ⁷
PELESHETHIY SUBDUED
And the Peleshethiy hear that the sons of Yisra El gather to Mispeh, and the ringleaders of the Peleshethiy ascend against Yisra El: and the sons of Yisra El hear and they awe at the face of the Peleshethiy. ⁸ And the sons of Yisra El say to Shemu El, Hush not to cry to Yah Veh our Elohim for us, to save us from the hand of the Peleshethiy. ⁹ And Shemu El takes one milking lamb and holocausts a holocaust totally to Yah Veh: and Shemu El cries to Yah Veh for Yisra El; and Yah Veh answers him. ¹⁰ And as Shemu El holocausts the holocaust, the Peleshethiy draw near to war against Yisra El: but on that day Yah Veh thunders with a great voice on the Peleshethiy; and agitates them and smites them at the face of Yisra El. ¹¹ And the men of Yisra El go from Mispeh and pursue the Peleshethiy and smite them until they come under Beth Kar. ¹² And Shemu El takes one stone and sets it between Mispeh and Shen and calls the name of it Eben Ezer, saying, Hitherto Yah Veh helps us. ¹³ So they subdue the Peleshethiy and they add not to come into the border of Yisra El: and the hand of Yah Veh is against the Peleshethiy all the days of Shemu El: ¹⁴ and the cities the Peleshethiy took from Yisra El are restored to Yisra El - from Eqron even to Gath; and Yisra El rescues the borders thereof from the hands of the Peleshethiy: and shalom becomes between Yisra El and between the Emoriy: ¹⁵ and Shemu El judges Yisra El all the days of his life: ¹⁶ and he goes enough from year to year and turns around to Beth El and Gilgal and Mispeh and judges Yisra El in all those places: ¹⁷ and he returns to Ramah; for his house is there: and there he judges Yisra El; and there he builds a sacrifice altar to Yah Veh.

¹⁴ and the border is surveyed and goes around the edge of the sea southward; from the mountain at the face of Beth Horon southward; and the exits are at Qiryath Baal which is Qiryath Arim, a city of the sons of Yah Hudah; this is the sea edge:

²¹ And they send angels to the settlers of Qiryath Arim saying, The Peleshethiy bring again the ark of Yah Veh; they descend and ascend it to you.

² and David rises with all the people with him and goes from Baal Yah Hudah; to ascend the ark of Elohim from there - which is called by the Name - the Name, Yah Veh Sabaoth - that settles upon the cherubim. ³ And they ride the ark of Elohim on a new wagon; and lift it from the house of Abi Nadab in Gibah: and Uzzah and Achyo the sons of Abi Nadab drive the new wagon: ⁴ and they lift it from the house of Abi Nadab at Gibah, and accompany the ark of Elohim: and Achyo walks at the face of the ark.

⁵ And David congregates all Yisra El from Shichor of Misrayim even to the entering of Hamath; to bring the ark of Elohim from Qiryath Arim. ⁶ And David and all Yisra El ascend to Baal Ah - to Qiryath Arim, Yah Hudah to ascend there the ark of Elohim Yah Veh that settles between the cherubim, where the Name is called upon it. ⁷ And they ride the ark of Elohim in a new wagon from the house of Abi Nadab: and Uzza and Achyo drive the wagon:

⁶ Behold, we heard thereof at Ephrath; we found thereof in the fields of the forest:

¹¹ You, turn aside! Turn aside! Come out from thence! Touch not the foul! You, come from her midst! You, be purified, who bear the instruments of Yah Veh.

⁴ And so be it, when the angel of Yah Veh words these words to all the sons of Yisra El, the people lift their voice and weep:

¹³ only, acknowledge your perversity, that you rebel against Yah Veh your Elohim and scatter your ways to the strangers under every green tree, and hearken not to my voice - an oracle of Yah Veh.

²² Return, you apostate sons, and I heal your apostasies. Behold, we come to you; for you are Yah Veh our Elohim. ²³ Surely in falsehood from the hills and from the multitude of mountains: surely in Yah Veh our Elohim is the salvation of Yisra El. ²⁴ For shame devours the labor of our fathers from our youth - their flocks and their herds their sons and their daughters: ²⁵ we lie down in our shame, and our confusion covers us: for we sin against Yah Veh our Elohim - we and our fathers from our youth even to this day, and hearken not to the voice of Yah Veh our Elohim.

⁹ they come with weeping; and with supplications I lead them: I walk them by the wadies of waters in a straight way wherein they falter not: for I am a father to Yisra El and Ephrayim is my firstbirthed.

THE SPIRIT OF CHARISM
And I pour on the house of David, and on the settlers of Yeru Shalem, the spirit of charism and of supplications: and they look on me whom they pierced, and they chop for him as one chops for his only, and embitter over him as one embitters for his firstbirthed. ¹¹
THE CHOPPING IN YERU SHALEM
In that day, a chopping greatens in Yeru Shalem, as the chopping of Hadad Rimmon in Gay Megiddo/Valley of Troops:

⁴ Blessed - they who mourn: for they are comforted.

¹⁰ For sorrow toward Elohim works repentance to salvation - unrequitable: but the sorrow of the cosmos works death. ¹¹ For behold this, that you sorrowed toward Elohim, how much diligence it worked in you rather, pleading; yes, rather indignation; yes, rather awe; yes, rather yearning; yes, rather zeal; yes, rather vengeance. In all these you commend yourselves to be hallowed in this matter.

² And Yaaqov says to his household and to all with him, Turn aside the strange elohim among you and purify and change your clothes:

¹³ Awe Yah Veh your Elohim and serve him and oath by his name:

²⁰ Awe Yah Veh your Elohim; serve him and adhere to him and oath by his name.

⁴ Walk after Yah Veh your Elohim and awe him and guard his misvoth and hear his voice and serve him and adhere to him:

² and you return to Yah Veh your Elohim and hear his voice according to all I misvah you this day - you and your sons with all your heart and with all your soul; ³ then Yah Veh your Elohim turns your captivity and mercies you and returns and gathers you from all the goyim - wherever Yah Veh your Elohim scattered you: ⁴ and so be it, if you are expelled to the ends of the heavens, from thence Yah Veh your Elohim gathers you; and from thence he takes you: ⁵ and Yah Veh your Elohim brings you to possess the land your fathers possessed: and he well-pleases you and abounds you above your fathers: ⁶ and Yah Veh your Elohim circumcises your heart and the heart of your seed - to love Yah Veh your Elohim with all your heart and with all your soul for your life: ⁷ and Yah Veh your Elohim gives all these oaths on your enemies and on them who hate you - who pursue you. ⁸ And you return and hear the voice of Yah Veh and work all his misvoth which I misvah you this day: ⁹ and Yah Veh your Elohim overflows you in every work of your hand - in the fruit of your belly and in the fruit of your animals and in the fruit of your soil, for good: for Yah Veh returns to rejoice over you for good, as he rejoiced over your fathers: ¹⁰ for you hearken to the voice of Yah Veh your Elohim - to guard his misvoth and his statutes inscribed in this scroll of the torah: for you turn to Yah Veh your Elohim with all your heart and with all your soul.

YAH SHUA CHALLENGES YISRA EL Now awe Yah Veh and serve him in integrity and in truth: and turn aside the elohim your fathers served beyond the river and in Misrayim; and serve Yah Veh:

²³ And now, turn aside the strange elohim among you and spread your heart to Yah Veh Elohim of Yisra El.

YISRA EL ABANDONS YAH VEH
And the sons of Yisra El add to work evil in the eyes of Yah Veh and serve Baalim and Ashtaroth and the elohim of Aram and the elohim of Sidon and the elohim of Moab and the elohim of the sons of Ammon and the elohim of the Peleshethiy and forsake Yah Veh and serve him not.

¹⁶ - and they turn aside the elohim of strangers from among them and serve Yah Veh: and his soul shortens for the toil of Yisra El.

¹⁰ And they set his instruments in the house of Ashtaroth: and they stake his body to the wall of Beth Shaan.

⁴⁸ and return to you with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their enemies who captured them; and pray to you toward the land you gave their fathers - the city you chose and the house I built for your name:

¹⁹ Now, give your heart and your soul to seek Yah Veh your Elohim; and rise and build the holies of Yah Veh Elohim - to bring the ark of the covenant of Yah Veh and the holy instruments of Elohim into the house to be built to the name of Yah Veh.

⁹ And you, Shelomoh my son, know the Elohim of your father; and serve him with a heart of shalom and with a soul of desire: for Yah Veh examines all hearts and discerns all the imaginations of fabrications: if you seek him, you find him; and if you forsake him, he abandons you eternally.

³ But good words are found in you in that you burn the asherim from the land and prepare your heart to seek Elohim.

¹⁹ who prepares his heart to seek Elohim - Yah Veh Elohim of his fathers; though not according to the purification of the holies.

¹³ If you prepare your heart and spread your palms toward him; ¹⁴ if mischief be in your hand, remove it far away; tabernacle no wickedness in your tents.

¹ The arrangements of the heart are from humanity; and the answer of the tongue is from Yah Veh.

⁷ the wicked forsake his way; and the man of mischief, his fabrications: and he returns to Yah Veh, and he mercies him; and to our Elohim, for he abounds to forgive.

³ For thus says Yah Veh to the men of Yah Hudah and Yeru Shalem, Till your tillage; seed not among thorns: ⁴ circumcise yourselves to Yah Veh and turn aside the foreskins of your heart, you men of Yah Hudah and settlers of Yeru Shalem: lest my fury comes forth as fire and burns so that no one can quench it at the face of the evil of your exploitations.

³¹ Cast from you all the rebellions you rebelled; and work yourself a new heart and a new spirit: and why die, O house of Yisra El?

Come, and return to Yah Veh: for he tears, and he heals us; he smites, and he binds us: ² after two days he enlivens us; in the third day he raises us; and we live at his face.

YAH VEH APPEALS TO YISRA EL
O Yisra El, return to Yah Veh your Elohim; for you falter by your perversity.

¹² And also now - an oracle of Yah Veh you, turn to me with all your heart, and with fasting and with weeping and with chopping: ¹³ and rip your heart and not your clothes; and turn to Yah Veh your Elohim: for he is charismatic and merciful slow to wrath and of great mercy; and he sighs concerning the evil.

¹⁰ Then Yah Shua words to him, Go, Satan: for it is scribed, Worship Yah Veh your Elohim, and liturgize him only. ^{Deuteronomy 6:13, 10:20}

SERVING TWO ADONIM
No one can serve two adonim: for either he hates the one and loves the other; or else he upholds the one and disesteems the other: you cannot serve Elohim and mammon.

⁸ This people approaches me with their mouth and honors me with their lips; but their heart is far from me:

⁸ And Yah Shua answers him, saying, You, Go behind me, Satan: for it is scribed, Worship Yah Veh your Elohim; and him only liturgize. ^{Deuteronomy 6:13, 10:20}

²⁴ Elohim is a Spirit: and they who worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

¹⁵ And the sons of Yisra El say to Yah Veh, We sin! Work to us whatever seems good in your eyes; only, rescue us, we beseech you, this day. ¹⁶ - and they turn aside the elohim of strangers from among them and serve Yah Veh: and his soul shortens for the toil of Yisra El.

³³ because they forsake me and prostrate to Ashtoreth elohim of the Sidoniy, Kemosh elohim of the Moabiy, and Milchom elohim of the sons of Ammon; and walk not in my ways to work straight in my eyes and in my statutes and in my judgments as David his father:

³ Neither Ashshur saves us; nor ride we on horses: nor say we any more to the work of our hands, Our elohim: for in you the orphan is mercied.

⁸ Ephrayim, What have I to do any more with idols? I - I answer and observe him: I am as a green fir tree: from me your fruit is found.

²³ I also, far be it that I sin against Yah Veh, in ceasing to pray for you; but I direct you to the good and the straight way:

²³ And all the governors of the valiant - they and their men hear that the sovereign of Babel makes Gedal Yah overseer; and there comes to Gedal Yah to Mispeh even Yishma El the son of Nethan Yah and Yah Hanan the son of Qareach and Sera Yah the son of Tanchumeth the Netophathiy and Yaazan Yah the son of a Maachahiy - they and their men:

Now in the twenty-fourth day of this month the sons of Yisra El gather with fasting and with saqs and soil on them:

¹⁶ Gather the people! Hallow the congregation! Gather the elders! Gather the sucklings! And they who suck the breasts! Have the bridegroom come from his chamber! And the bride from her canopy!

THE REWARD FOR WRINGING HANDS
And if they wring hands for their perversity and the perversity of their fathers, and the treason they treason against me and also for walking contrary to me;

⁴⁷ and they turn their hearts to the land they were captured and turn and beseech to you in the land of them who captured them, saying, We sinned and perverted; we did wickedly;

⁵ And at the evening offering I rise and fast and rip my clothes and my mantle: I bow on my knees and spread my palms to Yah Veh my Elohim, ⁶ and say, O my Elohim, I shame and blush to lift my face to thee, my Elohim: for our perversities abound over our head, and our guilt grows to the heavens: ⁷ since the days of our fathers we are in a great guilt - unto this day: and for our perversities, our sovereigns and our priests, are given into the hand of the sovereigns of the lands - to the sword, to captivity, and to a plunder, and to shamed face, as this day. ⁸ And now for a little blink, supplication becomes from Yah Veh our Elohim - to allow escapees to survive, and to give us a stake in his holies, so that our Elohim lighten our eyes, and give us a little invigoration in our servitude. ⁹ For we are servants; yet our Elohim forsakes us not in our servitude; but spreads us mercy at the face of the sovereigns of Persia - to give us an invigoration - to lift the house of our Elohim and to stand the parched areas thereof and to give us a wall in Yah Hudah and in Yeru Shalem. ¹⁰ And now, O our Elohim, what say we? THE SONS OF YISRA EL FAST
Now in the twenty-fourth day of this month the sons of Yisra El gather with fasting and with saqs and soil on them: ² and the seed of Yisra El separate from all sons of strangers; and stand and spread hands for their sins and the perversities of their fathers: ³ and they rise in their station and call out in the scroll of the torah of Yah Veh their Elohim a fourth of the day; and a fourth they spread hands and prostrate to Yah Veh their Elohim.

²⁷ and you gave them into the hand of their tribulators who tribulated them: and in the time of their tribulation they cried to you; and you heard from the heavens; and according to your abundant mercies you gave them saviours to save them from the hand of their tribulators:

²⁰ My friends scorn me; but my eye drips to Elohah.

²⁷ He observes men, and if any say, I sinned and perverted the straight and it profits me not;

⁴ Behold, I am abased; What respond I to you? I set my hand to my mouth.

⁶ so I spurn and sigh in dust and ashes.

⁶ I belabor with my sighing; all night my bed swims: I flow my bedstead with my tears;

³ There is neither integrity in my flesh at the face of your rage; nor any shalom in my bones at the face of my sin. ⁴ For my perversities pass over my head; as a heavy burden, too heavy for me: ⁵ my wounds stink and dissolve at the face of my folly: ⁶ I bend; I prostrate mightily; I go darkened all the day long: ⁷ for my flanks are filled with scorching - no soundness in my flesh. ⁸ I am exhausted and mighty crushed; I roar from the growling of my heart:

³ My tears are my bread day and night, while all day they say to me, Where is your Elohim?

⁸ Confide in him at all times, you people; pour out your heart at his face: Elohim is our refuge. Selah.

⁶ We sinned with our fathers; we perverted; we did wickedly.

¹³⁶ Rivulets of waters descend my eyes, because they guard not your torah.

¹³ only, acknowledge your perversity, that you rebel against Yah Veh your Elohim and scatter your ways to the strangers under every green tree, and hearken not to my voice - an oracle of Yah Veh. ¹⁴ Turn, O apostate sons - an oracle of Yah Veh for I am married to you: and I take you, one of a city and two of a family and I bring you to Siyon:

A LAMENTATION OVER SIYON
Oh that it be, that my head be as waters; and my eyes as a fountain of tears; and I weep day and night for the pierced of the daughter of my people!

¹⁹ Surely after I returned, I sighed; and after I was instructed, I slapped my flank: I shamed, yes, even confounded, because I bore the reproach of my youth.

¹¹ My eyes finish off with tears; my inwards foam; my liver pours on the earth for the breech of the daughter of my people; because the infants and the sucklings languish in the broadways of the city.

¹⁸ Their heart cries to Adonay, O wall of the daughter of Siyon, they cascade tears as a wadi day and night; give yourself no breather; may the daughter of your eye not be stilled. ¹⁹ Rise! Cry out in the night, in the head of the watches; pour your heart as water at the face of Adonay; lift your palms toward him for the soul of your infants who languish for famine in the top of all the outways.

⁴⁹ my eye flows and ceases not - without any relaxation.

⁴ Judge you them, son of humanity? Judge you them? Have them know the abhorrences of their fathers:

¹² And also now - an oracle of Yah Veh you, turn to me with all your heart, and with fasting and with weeping and with chopping:

THE SECOND WORD OF YAH VEH TO YONAH
And so be the word of Yah Veh to Yonah secondly, saying, ² Rise, go to Nineveh, that great city; and call out to it the calling I word you. ³ And Yonah rises, and goes to Nineveh according to the word of Yah Veh - Nineveh is a great city of Elohim of a walk of three days. ⁴ And Yonah begins to enter the city a walk of one day; and he calls out, and says, Yet forty days, and Nineveh is turned against. ⁵ So the men of Nineveh trust Elohim and call a fast and enrobe saq - from their greatest even to their lesser. ⁶ And word touches to the sovereign of Nineveh; and he rises from his throne and passes his mighty mantle from him and covers himself with saq and sits in ashes: ⁷ and he cries throughout Nineveh, saying by the taste of the sovereign and his nobles, saying, Neither humanity nor animal, herd nor flock, tastes aught: neither grazes, nor drinks water: ⁸ and humanity and animal covers with saq and calls out severely to Elohim: yes, every man turns from his evil way and from the violence in their palms. ⁹ Who knows? Perhaps Elohim turns and sighs - turns from his fuming wrath, and we destruct not! ¹⁰ And Elohim sees their works - that they turn from their evil way; and Elohim sighs of the evil he worded to work to them; and he works it not.

¹⁸ I rise and go to my father, and say to him, Father, I sinned against the heavens and in your sight;

¹⁰ And when Paroh approaches, the sons of Yisra El lift their eyes, and behold, the Misrayim pull stakes after them; and they awe mightily. And the sons of Yisra El cry out to Yah Veh,

⁶ And the men of Yisra El see they are tribulated - that the people are exacted - and the people hide themselves in caves and in crevices and in rocks and in towers and in wells:

¹¹ And Shaul and all Yisra El hear the words of the Peleshethiy, and they are terrified and mighty awed.

¹⁹ And all the people say to Shemu El, Pray to Yah Veh your Elohim that we your servants not die: for we added to all our sins this evil - to ask us a sovereign. ²⁰ And Shemu El says to the people, Awe not: for all this evil you worked: only, turn not aside from after Yah Veh, but serve Yah Veh with all your heart; ²¹ turn not aside: for then you go after wasteness, which neither benefits nor rescues; for they are waste. ²² For Yah Veh abandons not his people for sake of his great name: because Yah Veh wills to work you to be his people. ²³ I also, far be it that I sin against Yah Veh, in ceasing to pray for you; but I direct you to the good and the straight way: ²⁴ only, awe Yah Veh and serve him in truth with all your heart: for see how he greatens you.

⁴ Perhaps Yah Veh your Elohim hears the words of Rab Shaqeh, whom the sovereign of Ashshur his adoni sent to reproach the living Elohim, and to reprove the words Yah Veh your Elohim heard: and to lift your prayer for the survivors who survive.

THE NEW HOME OF SIYON
For sake of Siyon, I hush not; and for sake of Yeru Shalem, I rest not; until the justness goes forth as brilliance and the salvation thereof as a flambeau that burns:

⁶ I guard to oversee on your walls, O Yeru Shalem, which hush not continually day and night: you who remember Yah Veh, quiet not; ⁷ and give him no quiet until he establishes and until he sets Yeru Shalem a halal in the earth.

¹⁶ Confess your backslidings to one another and vow for one another, to be healed. The energized petition of the just is mighty enough.

²⁶ and build a sacrifice altar to Yah Veh your Elohim on top of this stronghold by the arrangement; and take the second bullock and holocaust a holocaust with the timber of the asherah you cut down.

²⁸ And the men of the city start early in the morning; and behold, the sacrifice altar of Baal is pulled down and the asherah by it is cut down; and the second bullock is holocausted on the sacrifice altar he built.

¹² And they answer them and say, He is! Behold, he is at your face: hasten now, for he comes today to the city; for today there is a sacrifice of the people in the bamah:

And the Peleshethiy fight Yisra El: and the men of Yisra El flee the face of the Peleshethiy and fall pierced in mount Gilboa: ² and the Peleshethiy adhere to Shaul and his sons; and the Peleshethiy smite Yah Nathan and Abi Nadab and Malki Shua - sons of Shaul: ³ and the war is heavy against Shaul and the bow shooter men find him; and he is mighty writhed by the shooters. ⁴ And Shaul says to his instrument bearer, Draw your sword and stab me; lest these uncircumcised come and stab me and exploit me. ⁶ And they gather to Mispeh and bail water and pour it out at the face of Yah Veh and fast on that day, and say there, We sinned against Yah Veh. And Shemu El judges the sons of Yisra El in Mispeh.

And Shemu El says to all Yisra El, Behold, I hearken to your voice in all you say to me; and have a sovereign reign over you:
