⁴ and misvah the people, saying, You are passing through the border of your brothers the sons of Esav, who settle in Seir; and they awe you: guard mightily:

¹⁵ Then the chiliarchs of Edom terrify; the mighty of Moab, trembling, take hold on them; all who settle Kenaan melt away.

¹⁴ And Mosheh sends angels from Qadesh to the sovereign of Edom, Thus says your brother Yisra El, You know all the travail that found us: ¹⁵ how our fathers descend into Misrayim and settle in Misrayim many days; and the Misrayim vilify us and our fathers: ¹⁶ and when we cry to Yah Veh, he hears our voice and sends an angel and brings us from Misrayim: and behold, we are in Qadesh, a city in the end of your border: ¹⁷ Let us pass, I beseech you, through your land: we neither pass through the fields or through the vineyards, nor drink of the water of the wells: we go by the way of the sovereign; we deviate neither to the right nor to the left until we pass your borders. ¹⁸ And Edom says to him, You pass not by me, lest I confront you with the sword. ¹⁹ And the sons of Yisra El say to him, We ascend by the high way: and if I and my chattel drink of your water, then I give their price: I only, without a word, pass through on my feet. ²⁰ And he says, You pass not through. - and Edom confronts him heavy with people and with a strong hand. ²¹ Thus Edom refuses Yisra El to pass through his border: and Yisra El deviates from him.

³ And Moab is mighty afraid at the face of the people, because they are many: and Moab abhors the face of the sons of Yisra El. ⁴ And Moab says to the elders of Midyan, Now this congregation licks up all who are all around us as the ox licks the green of the field. And Balaq the son of Sippor is sovereign of Moab at that time.

¹⁴ And now, behold, I go to my people: come, and I counsel you what this people work to your people in the final days. ¹⁵
ORACLE OF BILAM TO THE SON OF BEOR
And he lifts his proverb and says, - an oracle of Bilam the son of Beor - an oracle of the master whose eyes were shut but now unveiled: ¹⁶ - an oracle of him who hears the sayings of El and knows the knowledge of Elyon: who sees the vision of Shadday, falling, with eyes uncovered: ¹⁷ I see him, but not now: I observe him, but not near: a Star treads from Yaaqov and a Scion rises from Yisra El and strikes the edges of Moab and undermines all the sons of Sheth. ¹⁸
ORACLE OF BILAM TO YISRA EL
And Edom becomes a possession, and Seir becomes a possession for his enemies; and Yisra El works valiantly.

⁷ Neither abhor an Edomiy; for he is your brother: nor abhor a Misrayim; because you were a sojourner in his land.

¹⁰ For your violence against your brother Yaaqov, shame covers you; and you are severed eternally. ¹¹ In the day you stand on the other side, in the day the strangers capture his valiant, and strangers enter his portals, and handle pebbles on Yeru Shalem, even you are as one of them: ¹² and you neither see the day of your brother - the day he is estranged; nor cheer over the sons of Yah Hudah in the day of their destruction; nor greaten your mouth in the day of tribulation. ¹³ nor enter the portal of my people in the day of their calamity; yes, nor see their evil in the day of their calamity; nor spread over their valiant in the day of their calamity;

¹⁶ Thus radiate your light in front of humanity; so they see your good works and glorify your Father in the heavens.

¹⁵ And he says to them, See, and guard against avarice: for the life of one is not in the super abundance of his holdings.

¹⁵ So see that you walk precisely - not as unwise, but as wise,

¹⁵ that you be blameless and unadulterated - the children of Elohim - unblemished midst a crooked and perverted generation; in whom you manifest as lights in the cosmos:

⁵ Walk in wisdom toward those outside, marketing the season
