At that time Merodach Bel Adoni the son of Bel Adoni sovereign of Babel, sends scrolls and an offering to Yechizqi Yah: for he hears he is sick - and strengthens.

¹⁰ and Toi sends Yah Ram his son to sovereign David, to ask shalom of him and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadad Ezer and smote him - for Hadad Ezer was a man of wars with Toi. And in his hand are instruments of silver and instruments of gold and instruments of copper:

THE BABEL ENVOYS
At that time Berodach Bel Adoni, the son of Bel Adan sovereign of Babel sends scrolls and an offering to Yechizqi Yah: for he hears Yechizqi Yah is sick: ¹³ and Yechizqi Yah hearkens to them and has them see all the house of his spicery - the silver and the gold and the spices and the best ointment and all the house of his instruments and all they find in his treasures - neither word in his house nor in all his reign that Yechizqi Yah has them not see. ¹⁴ And Yesha Yah the prophet comes to sovereign Yechizqi Yah and says to him, What say these men? And whence come they to you? And Yechizqi Yah says, They come from a far land - from Babel. ¹⁵ And he says, What saw they in your house? And Yechizqi Yah says, I had them see all that is in my house: there is no word among my treasures that I had them not see. ¹⁶ And Yesha Yah says to Yechizqi Yah, Hear the word of Yah Veh. ¹⁷ Behold, the days come, that all in your house which your fathers treasure to this day, is lifted to Babel - no word remains, says Yah Veh. ¹⁸ And of your sons who emerge from you, whom you birth, they take away; to be eunuchs in the temple of the sovereign of Babel. ¹⁹ Then Yechizqi Yah says to Yesha Yah, Good is the word of Yah Veh you worded. And he says, But not if shalom and truth become in my days.

²³ And many bring offerings to Yah Veh to Yeru Shalem; and preciousnesses to Yechizqi Yah sovereign of Yah Hudah: so that he is lifted in the eyes of all goyim thereafter.

³¹ And thus, by the interpreters of the governors of Babel, who send to him to enquire of the omen in the land, Elohim left him, to test him, to know all that is in his heart.

THE BURDEN OF BABEL
The burden of Babel Yesha Yah the son of Amos saw:

¹⁹ And Babel, the splendour of sovereigndoms, the adornment of the pomp of the Kesediym, becomes as when Elohim overthrew Sedom and Amorah

⁴ - to lift this proverb against the sovereign of Babel, and say, How the exactor shabbathizes! The extortioners of gold shabbathize!

¹³ Behold the land of the Kesediym: this people was not; the Ashshuri founded it for the desert dwellers: they raise the towers; they strip bare the citadels; and he sets it to ruin.

And Yechizqi Yah says, They come to me from a land afar - from Babel. ⁴ And he says, What saw they in your house? And Yechizqi Yah says, All that is in my house they saw: there is no word among my treasures that I had them not see. ⁵ And Yesha Yah says to Yechizqi Yah, Hear the word of Yah Veh Sabaoth: ⁶ Behold, days come, that all that is in your house, and what your fathers treasured until this day, is lifted to Babel: no word remains, says Yah Veh. ⁷ And of your sons who issue from you, whom you birthed, they take away to become eunuchs in the manse of the sovereign of Babel. ⁸ And Yechizqi Yah says to Yesha Yah, Good is the word of Yah Veh which you speak. and he says, For shalom and truth become in my days.
