RUTH AND BOAZ
And Noomiy has a kin of her man; a mighty man of valuables of the family of Eli Melech; and his name, Boaz. 2 And Ruth the Moabiyth says to Noomiy, Let me go, I beseech, to the field and glean ears after him in whose eyes I find charism. And she says to her, Go, my daughter. 3 And she goes and comes and gleans in the field after the harvesters; and her happening happens to light on an allotment of the field to Boaz of the family of Eli Melech. 4 And, behold, Boaz comes from Beth Lechem and says to the harvesters, Yah Veh be with you. And they say to him, Yah Veh bless you. 5 Then Boaz says to his lad who is stationed over the harvesters, Whose lass is this? 6 And the lad stationed over the harvesters answers and says, The Moabitish lass who returned with Noomiy from the fields of Moab; 7 and she says, I beseech you, let me glean and gather after the harvesters among the omers; so she comes and stays from the morning until now, and settles a little in the house. 8 And Boaz says to Ruth, Hear you not, my daughter? Neither go to glean in another field, nor pass from here; but adhere here by my lasses; 9 may your eyes be on the field they harvest, and you go after them. Misvahed I not the lads to not touch you? And when you thirst, go to the instruments and drink from what the lads bail. 10 And she falls on her face and prostrates herself to the earth and says to him, Why find I charism in your eyes, that you recognize me - and I, a stranger? 11 And Boaz answers and says to her, In being told, I am told, of all you worked to your mother in law after the death of your man; and how you left your father and your mother and the land of your nativity and come to a people you knew not three yesters ago. 12 May Yah Veh shalam your deed and a complete hire be given you of Yah Veh Elohim of Yisra El, under whose wings you come to seek refuge. 13 And she says, May I find charism in your eyes, my adoni; for sighing over me and for wording to the heart of your maid though I - I am not as one of your maids. 14 And Boaz says to her, Approach at food time and eat of the bread and dip your morsel in the fermentation. And she settles beside the harvesters; and he snatches her parched and she eats and is satisfied and remains. 15 And she rises to glean, and Boaz misvahs his lads, saying, Let her glean even among the omers and shame her not; 16 and of the spoilings, let fistfuls be spoiled for her and leave them so that she gleans them - and rebuke her not. 17 And she gleans in the field until evening and threshes what she gleaned - about an ephah of barley. 18 And she lifts it and goes into the city; and her mother in law sees what she gleaned; and she brings and gives her what remained after she was satisfied. 19 And her mother in law says to her, Where have you gleaned today? And where have you worked? Blessed - he who recognizes you. And she tells her mother in law whom she worked with, and says, The name of the man I worked with today, Boaz. 20 And Noomiy says to her daughter in law, Blessed - he of Yah Veh who forsakes not his mercy to the living and to the dead. And Noomiy says to her, The man is near to us - of our redeemers. 21 And Ruth the Moabiyth says, He says to me also, Stick by my lads until they finish all my harvest. 22 And Noomiy says to Ruth her daughter in law, It is good, my daughter, to go with his lasses, so that they not meet you in any other field. 23 - and she sticks by the lasses of Boaz to glean the finish of barley harvest and of wheat harvest; and settles with her mother in law.
