³⁵ ¶ And answering, Jesus said, while he taught in the temple, How do the scribes say that the Christ is Son of David?

²⁷ ¶ And when Jesus departed from there, two blind men followed him, crying out and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us.

They say unto him, The Son of David. ⁴³ He said unto them, How then does David in Spirit call him Lord, saying, ⁴⁴ The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand until I make thine enemies thy footstool? ⁴⁵ If David then calls him Lord, how is he his son?

⁵⁵ In that same hour Jesus said to the multitude, Are ye come out as against a thief with swords and staves to take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid no hold on me.

²⁷ ¶ And they returned to Jerusalem, and as he was walking in the temple, the princes of the priests and the scribes and the elders came

⁴⁷ And he taught daily in the temple. But the princes of the priests and the scribes and the principals of the people sought to kill him

⁴¹ And he said unto them, How do they say that the Christ is David’s son? ⁴² And David himself says in the book of Psalms, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand ⁴³ until I make thine enemies thy footstool. ⁴⁴ David therefore calls him Lord; how is he then his son?

³⁷ And in the daytime he was teaching in the temple, and at night he went out and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Olives.

⁴² Has not the scripture said, That the Christ comes of the seed of David and out of the town of Bethlehem where David was?

²⁰ Jesus answered him, I spoke openly to the world; I always taught in the synagogue and in the temple, where all the Jews gather; and I have said nothing in secret.
