John 17:8

8 For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.

John 18:37

37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I AM king. To this end I was born, and for this cause I came into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth hears my voice.

John 19:34

34 but one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith blood and water came out. 35 And he that saw it gives testimony, and his testimony is true, and he knows that he says the truth, that ye also might believe.

John 19:37

37 And again another scripture says, They shall look on him whom they pierced.

Acts 1:9-11

9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. 10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, 11 who also said, Ye men of Galilee, what do ye stand gazing at up into heaven? This same Jesus, who is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

Acts 4:20

20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

Acts 10:10-33

10 and he became very hungry and would have eaten; but while they made ready, he fell into a rapture of understanding 11 and saw the heaven opened and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners and let down to the earth, 12 in which were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth and wild beasts and reptiles and fowls of the air. 13 And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter, kill and eat. 14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean. 15 And the voice spoke unto him again the second time, That which God has cleansed, do not call common. 16 This was done three times, and the vessel was received up again into heaven. 17 Now while Peter doubted in himself what this vision which he had seen should mean, behold, the men who were sent from Cornelius had made enquiry for Simon’s house and stood before the gate 18 and called and asked whether Simon, who was surnamed Peter, were lodged there. 19 ¶ While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee. 20 Arise therefore and get thee down and go with them, doubting nothing; for I have sent them. 21 Then Peter went down to the men who were sent unto him from Cornelius and said, Behold, I am he whom ye seek; what is the cause for which ye are come? 22 And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man and one that fears God and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by a holy angel to send for thee into his house and to hear words of thee. 23 Then he called them in and lodged them. And on the morrow Peter went away with them, and certain brethren from Joppa accompanied him. 24 And the next day they entered into Caesarea. And Cornelius waited for them and had called together his kinsmen and near friends. 25 And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him and fell down at his feet and worshipped him. 26 But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man. 27 And as he talked with him, he went in and found many that were come together. 28 And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an abominable thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company or come unto one of another nation; but God has showed me that I should not call any man common or unclean. 29 Therefore I came unto you without doubting, as soon as I was sent for; I ask therefore for what intent ye have sent for me? 30 And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing 31 and said, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God. 32 Send therefore to Joppa, and call here Simon, whose surname is Peter; he is lodged in the house of one Simon a tanner by the sea side, who, when he comes, shall speak unto thee. 33 Immediately therefore I sent to thee, and thou hast done well to come. Now therefore we are all here present before God to hear all things that are commanded thee of God.

Acts 18:19-21

19 And he came to Ephesus and left them there, but he himself entered into the synagogue and reasoned with the Jews. 20 When they desired him to tarry longer time with them, he consented not, 21 but bade them farewell, saying, I must by all means keep this feast that comes in Jerusalem, but I will return again unto you, if God wills. And he sailed from Ephesus.

Acts 18:24

24 ¶ And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.

Acts 19:1-41

1 ¶ And it came to pass that while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul, having passed through the upper coasts, came to Ephesus, and finding certain disciples, 2 he said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Spirit since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there is any Holy Spirit. 3 And he said unto them, Into what then were ye baptized? And they said, Into John’s baptism. 4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people that they should believe on him who should come after him, that is, on Christ, Jesus. 5 When they heard this, they were baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus. 6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied. 7 And all the men were about twelve. 8 ¶ And he went into the synagogue and spoke freely for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God. 9 But when some were hardened and disobedient, but cursing the way before the multitude, he departed from them and separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus. 10 And this continued by the space of two years so that all those who dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.

Acts 19:10-41

10 And this continued by the space of two years so that all those who dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks. 11 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul 12 so that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them. 13 ¶ Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon themselves to invoke over those who had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preaches. 14 (And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew and prince of the priests, who did so.) 15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I am acquainted with, but who are ye? 16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them and overcame them and prevailed against them so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. 17 And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified. 18 And many that believed came, confessing and declaring their deeds. 19 In the same manner many who had practiced vain arts brought their books together and burned them before everyone, and they counted the price of them and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver. 20 So the word of God grew mightily and prevailed. 21 ¶ After these things were ended, Paul purposed by the Spirit to go to Jerusalem, after he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, saying, After I have been there, it behooves me to see Rome also. 22 So he sent into Macedonia two of those that ministered unto him, Timothy and Erastus, but he himself stayed in Asia for a season. 23 And the same time there arose no small stir about the way. 24 For a certain man named Demetrius, a silversmith who made silver shrines for Diana, brought no small gain unto the craftsmen, 25 whom he called together with the workmen of like occupation and said, Sirs, ye know that by this gain we have our wealth. 26 Moreover ye see and hear, that not alone at Ephesus, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul has persuaded and turned away many people, saying that they are not gods which are made with hands 27 so that not only this our craft is in danger to be set at nought, but also that the temple of the great goddess Diana should be despised, and her magnificence should be destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worship. 28 And when they heard these sayings, they were full of wrath and cried out, saying, Great is Diana of the Ephesians. 29 And the whole city was filled with confusion, and having caught Gaius and Aristarchus, men of Macedonia, Paul’s companions in travel, they rushed with one accord into the theatre. 30 And when Paul would have entered in unto the people, the disciples suffered him not. 31 And certain of the chief persons of Asia, who were his friends, sent unto him, asking him that he not present himself in the theatre. 32 Some therefore cried one thing, and some another, for the assembly was confused; and most of them did not know why they were come together. 33 And they drew Alexander out of the multitude, the Jews putting him forward. And Alexander beckoned with the hand and would have made his defense unto the people. 34 But when they knew that he was a Jew, all with one voice about the space of two hours cried out, Great is Diana of the Ephesians. 35 Then the town scribe, appeasing the people, said, Ye men of Ephesus, what man is there that does not know how the city of the Ephesians is honored of the great goddess Diana and of the image which fell down from Jupiter? 36 Seeing then that these things cannot be gainsaid, ye ought to be quiet and to do nothing rashly. 37 For ye have brought here these men, who are neither guilty of sacrilege, nor blasphemers of your goddess. 38 Therefore if Demetrius and the craftsmen who are with him have a matter against any man, the law is open, and there are proconsuls; let them accuse one another. 39 But if ye enquire any thing concerning other matters, it shall be determined in a lawful assembly. 40 For we are in danger of being accused of sedition for this day’s uproar, there being no cause by which we may give an account of this concourse. 41 And when he had thus spoken, he dismissed the assembly.

1 Corinthians 4:9-13

9 For I think that God has set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death; for we are made a spectacle unto the world and to angels and to men. 10 We are fools for Christ’s sake, but ye are prudent in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised. 11 Even unto this present hour we both hunger and thirst and are ill clad and are buffeted and have no certain dwellingplace 12 and labour, working with our own hands; being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it; 13 being blasphemed, we intreat; we are made as the filth of this world and are the offscouring of all things unto this day.

1 Corinthians 6:11

11 And such were some of you, but now ye are washed, but now ye are sanctified, but now ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and in the Spirit of our God.

1 Corinthians 12:4-13

4 Now there is dispersal of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 And there is dispersal of ministries, but the same Lord. 6 And there is dispersal of operations, but it is the same God who works all in each one. 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one to profit with. 8 For to one is given by the Spirit a word of wisdom; to another, a word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; 9 to another, faith by the same Spirit; to another, gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 10 to another, the operation of miracles; to another, prophecy; to another, discerning of spirits; to another, different kinds of tongues; to another, the interpretation of tongues: 11 one and the same Spirit operates all these things, dispersing to each one his own gift as he wills. 12 ¶ For as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also the Christ. 13 For by one Spirit we are all baptized into one body, whether we are Jews or Greeks, whether we are slaves or free, and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

1 Corinthians 15:20-23

20 ¶ But now Christ is risen from the dead and become the firstfruits of those that slept. 21 For since by a man came death, by a man came also the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in the Christ shall all be made alive. 23 But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward, those that are Christ’s at his coming.
