¹ But we beseech you, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our gathering unto him;

³¹ And He will send forth His angels with a great trumpet, and they will gather His elect out of the four winds, from the extremities of the heavens, unto the extremities of the same.

³² and all nations shall be gathered before Him: and He will separate them from one another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats:

²⁷ And then He will send forth His angels, and will gather His elect from the four winds, from the extremity of the earth unto the extremity of heaven.

¹ I exhort you, therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, your reasonable service:

¹⁰ in the economy of the fulness of the times, to rehead all things in Christ, those in the heavens, and those upon the earth; in him,

¹⁹ For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing, except you, in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?

¹³ in order to establish your hearts blameless in holiness in the presence of God even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints: amen.

¹⁴ For if we believe that Jesus died and is risen, so also will God bring with him those who sleep in Jesus. ¹⁵ For we speak this to you in the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left unto the coming of the Lord, can not anticipate those who are asleep, ¹⁶ because the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first; ¹⁷ then we who are alive, who are left, will at the same time along with them be caught up in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so we will be always with the Lord.

¹ In the presence of God, and Jesus Christ, the one about to judge the living and the dead, I testify to, both his appearing and his kingdom;
