⁴ having heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have toward all the saints,

⁷ and not by his coming only, but also by the comfort wherewith he was comforted in you, while he told us your longing, your mourning, your zeal for me, so that I rejoiced yet more.

⁶ For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision, but faith working through love.

¹⁵ For this cause I also, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which is among you, and the love which ye show toward all the saints,

⁹ For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray and make request for you, that ye may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,

³ remembering without ceasing your work of faith and labor of love and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father,

⁶ But when Timothy came even now unto us from you, and brought us glad tidings of your faith and love, and that ye have good remembrance of us always, longing to see us, even as we also to see you,

⁹ But concerning love of the brethren ye have no need that one write unto you; for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another, ¹⁰ for indeed ye do it toward all the brethren that are in all Macedonia. But we exhort you, brethren, that ye abound more and more,

³ We are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren, even as it is meet, for that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the love of each one of you all toward one another aboundeth,

⁵ hearing of thy love, and of the faith which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all the saints,

¹⁰ for God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love which ye showed toward his name, in that ye ministered unto the saints, and still do minister.

²¹ who through him believe in God, that raised him from the dead, and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope might be in God. ²² Seeing ye have purified your souls in your obedience to the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, love one another from a pure heart fervently: ²³ having been begotten again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

¹⁴ We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

²³ And this is his commandment, that we should believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, even as he gave commandment.

¹⁶ And we know and have believed the love which God hath in us. God is love, and he that abideth in love abideth in God, and God abideth in him.

³ For I rejoiced greatly, when brethren came and bare witness unto thy truth, even as thou walkest in truth. ⁴ Greater joy have I none than this, to hear of my children walking in truth.
