² And he said unto me: 'What seest thou?' And I said: 'I have seen, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and its seven lamps thereon; there are seven pipes, yea, seven, to the lamps, which are upon the top thereof;

¹¹ Then answered I, and said unto him: 'What are these two olive-trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof?'

¹² But ye profane it, in that ye say: 'The table of the LORD is polluted, and the fruit thereof, even the food thereof, is contemptible.'

¹⁵ Neither do men light a lamp, and put it under the bushel, but on the stand, and it shineth unto all that are in the house.

¹⁹ Ye fools and blind; for which is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift?

⁹ according to the custom of the priest's office, his lot was to enter into the temple of the Lord and burn incense. ¹⁰ And the whole multitude of the people were praying without at the hour of incense.

⁴ In him was life, and the life was the light of men. ⁵ And the light shineth in the darkness, and the darkness apprehended it not. ⁶ There came a man, sent from God, whose name was John. ⁷ The same came for witness, that he might bear witness of the light, that all might believe through him. ⁸ He was not the light, but came that he might bear witness of the light. ⁹ There was the true light, even the light which lighteth every man, coming into the world.

¹⁴ And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father), full of grace and truth.

¹⁶ And of his fullness we all received, and grace for grace.

⁵¹ And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see the heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.

³⁴ For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God; for God giveth not the Spirit by measure.

¹⁵ But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way; for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles and kings, and the children of Israel;

²⁵ whom God set forth to be a propitiation, through faith, in his blood, to show his righteousness because of the passing over of the sins done aforetime, in the forbearance of God,

²⁷ but I buffet my body, and bring it into bondage; lest by any means, after that I have preached to others, I myself should be rejected.

²¹ Now he that establisheth us with you in Christ, and anointed us, is God, ²² who also sealed us, and gave us the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

¹⁸ But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord the Spirit.

⁴ but when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth his Son, born of a woman, born under the law,

¹⁰ to the intent that now unto the principalities and the powers in the heavenly places might be made known through the church the manifold wisdom of God,

¹⁵ that ye may become blameless and harmless, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom ye are seen as lights in the world,

⁸ Yea indeed, therefore I count all things to be loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord; for whom I suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but refuse, that I may gain Christ,

²⁷ to whom God was pleased to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, who is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

⁵ Put to death therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry,

¹⁶ And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness, God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the spirit, Seen of angels, Preached among the nations, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory.

²⁰ Now in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth, and some unto honor, and some unto dishonor.

¹⁴ who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a people for his own possession, zealous of good works.

¹⁴ Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to do service for the sake of them that shall inherit salvation?

⁷ Who in the days of his flesh, having offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and having been heard for his godly fear,

²⁵ Wherefore also he is able to save to the uttermost them that draw near unto God through him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

² For there was a tabernacle prepared, the first, wherein were the candlestick, and the table, and the showbread, which is called the Holy place.

⁵ and above it cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy-seat, of which things we cannot now speak severally.

¹⁰ We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat that serve the tabernacle.

⁷ that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold that perisheth though it is proved by fire, may be found unto praise and honor and unto glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ:

¹² To whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto you, did they minister these things, which now have been announced unto you through them that preached the gospel unto you by the Holy Spirit sent forth from heaven, which things angel desire to look into.

¹⁸ knowing that ye were redeemed, not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, from your vain manner of life handed down from your fathers, ¹⁹ but with precious blood, as of a lamb without spot, even the blood of Christ:

⁵ ye also, as living stones, are built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

² and he is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the whole world.

²⁰ And ye have an anointing from the Holy One, and ye know all the things.

²⁷ And as for you, the anointing which ye received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any one teach you, but as the same anointing teacheth you, concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, ye shall abide in him.

²⁰ the mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches; and the seven candlesticks are seven churches.

⁵ And out of the throne proceed lightnings and voices and thunders. And there were seven lamps of fire burning before his throne, which are seven Spirits of God,

⁵ and one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not, behold, the Lion that is of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath overcome to open the book and the seven seals thereof.

³ And another angel came and stood over the altar, having a golden censer, and there was given unto him much incense, that he should add it unto the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. ⁴ And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, went up before God out of the angel's hand.
