1 Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover. 2 And the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might put him to death, for they feared the people. 3 And Satan entered into Judas who was surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve. 4 And he went away, and communed with the chief priests and captains, how he might deliver him unto them. 5 And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money. 6 And he consented, and sought opportunity to deliver him unto them in the absence of the multitude. 7 And the day of unleavened bread came on which the passover must be sacrificed. 8 And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and make ready for us the passover, that we may eat. 9 And they said unto him, Where wilt thou that we make ready? 10 And he said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water, follow him into the house whereinto he goeth. 11 And ye shall say unto the master of the house, The Teacher saith unto thee, Where is the guest-chamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples? 12 And he will show you a large upper room furnished; there make ready. 13 And they went, and found as he had said unto them; and they made ready the passover. 14 And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him. 15 And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer; 16 for I say unto you, I shall no more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God. 17 And he received a cup, and when he had given thanks, he said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves; 18 for I say unto you, I shall not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come. 19 And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he brake it, and gave to them, saying, This is my body which is given for you; this do in remembrance of me. 20 And the cup in like manner after supper, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood, even that which is poured out for you. 21 But behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table. 22 For the Son of man indeed goeth, as it hath been determined; but woe unto that man through whom he is betrayed! 23 And they began to question among themselves, which of them it was that should do this thing. 24 And there arose also a contention among them, which of them was accounted to be greatest. 25 And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles have lordship over them, and they that have authority over them are called Benefactors. 26 But ye shall not be so; but he that is the greater among you, let him become as the younger, and he that is chief, as he that doth serve. 27 For which is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am in the midst of you as he that serveth. 28 But ye are they that have continued with me in my temptations, 29 and I appoint unto you a kingdom, even as my Father appointed unto me, 30 that ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and ye shall sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan asked to have you, that he might sift you as wheat; 32 but I made supplication for thee, that thy faith fail not, and do thou, when once thou hast turned again, establish thy brethren. 33 And he said unto him, Lord, with thee I am ready to go both to prison and to death. 34 And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me. 35 And he said unto them, When I sent you forth without purse, and wallet, and shoes, lacked ye anything? And they said, Nothing. 36 And he said unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise a wallet, and he that hath none, shall sell his cloak, and shall buy a sword. 37 For I say unto you, that this which is written must be fulfilled in me, And he was reckoned with transgressors; for that which concerneth me hath fulfilment. 38 And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough. 39 And he came out, and went, as his custom was, unto the mount of Olives, and the disciples also followed him. 40 And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation. 41 And he was parted from them about a stone's cast, and he kneeled down and prayed, 42 saying, Father, if thou be willing to remove this cup from me—nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. 43 And there appeared unto him an angel from heaven, strengthening him. 44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat became as it were great drops of blood falling down upon the ground. 45 And when he rose up from his prayer, he came unto the disciples, and found them sleeping for sorrow, 46 and said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, that ye enter not into temptation. 47 While he yet spake, behold, a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and he drew near unto Jesus to kiss him. 48 But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss? 49 And when they that were about him saw what would follow, they said, Lord, shall we smite with the sword? 50 And a certain one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and struck off his right ear. 51 But Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye them thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him. 52 And Jesus said unto the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and elders, that were come against him, Are ye come out, as against a robber, with swords and staves? 53 When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched not forth your hands against me; but this is your hour, and the power of darkness. 54 And they seized him, and led him away, and brought him into the high priest's house. But Peter followed afar off. 55 And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the court, and had sat down together, Peter sat in the midst of them. 56 And a certain maid seeing him as he sat in the light of the fire, and looking stedfastly upon him, said, This man also was with him. 57 But he denied, saying, Woman, I know him not. 58 And after a little while another saw him, and said, Thou also art one of them. But Peter said, Man, I am not. 59 And after the space of about one hour another confidently affirmed, saying, Of a truth this man also was with him, for he is a Galilaean. 60 But Peter said, Man, I know not what thou sayest. And immediately, while he yet spake, the cock crew. 61 And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how that he said unto him, Before the cock crow thou shalt deny me thrice. 62 And he went out, and wept bitterly. 63 And the men that held Jesus mocked him, and beat him. 64 And when they had blindfolded him, they struck him on the face, and asked him, saying, Prophesy; who is he that struck thee? 65 And many other things spake they against him, reviling him. 66 And as soon as it was day, the assembly of the elders of the people, chief priests and scribes, were gathered together, and they led him away into their council, saying, 67 If thou art the Christ, tell us. But he said unto them, If I tell you, ye will not believe; 68 and if I ask you, ye will not answer me, nor let me go. 69 But from henceforth shall the Son of man be seated at the right hand of the power of God. 70 And they all said, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said unto them, Ye say that I am. 71 And they said, What further need have we of witness? for we ourselves have heard from his own mouth.

1 (88:1) A Song, a Psalm of the sons of Korah; for the Leader; upon Mahalath Leannoth. Maschil of Heman the Ezrahite. (88:2) O LORD, God of my salvation, what time I cry in the night before Thee, 2 (88:3) Let my prayer come before Thee, incline Thine ear unto my cry. 3 (88:4) For my soul is sated with troubles, and my life draweth nigh unto the grave. 4 (88:5) I am counted with them that go down into the pit; I am become as a man that hath no help; 5 (88:6) Set apart among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave, whom Thou rememberest no more; and they are cut off from Thy hand. 6 (88:7) Thou hast laid me in the nethermost pit, in dark places, in the deeps. 7 (88:8) Thy wrath lieth hard upon me, and all Thy waves Thou pressest down. Selah 8 (88:9) Thou hast put mine acquaintance far from me; Thou hast made me an abomination unto them; I am shut up, and I cannot come forth. 9 (88:10) Mine eye languisheth by reason of affliction; I have called upon Thee, O LORD, every day, I have spread forth my hands unto Thee. 10 (88:11) Wilt Thou work wonders for the dead? Or shall the shades arise and give Thee thanks? Selah 11 (88:12) Shall Thy mercy be declared in the grave? or Thy faithfulness in destruction? 12 (88:13) Shall Thy wonders be known in the dark? and Thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness? 13 (88:14) But as for me, unto Thee, O LORD, do I cry, and in the morning doth my prayer come to meet Thee. 14 (88:15) LORD, why castest Thou off my soul? Why hidest Thou Thy face from me? 15 (88:16) I am afflicted and at the point of death from my youth up; I have borne Thy terrors, I am distracted. 16 (88:17) Thy fierce wrath is gone over me; Thy terrors have cut me off. 17 (88:18) They came round about me like water all the day; they compassed me about together. 18 (88:19) Friend and companion hast Thou put far from me, and mine acquaintance into darkness.

Luke 22:20-20

20 And the cup in like manner after supper, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood, even that which is poured out for you. 21 But behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table. 22 For the Son of man indeed goeth, as it hath been determined; but woe unto that man through whom he is betrayed!

30 that ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and ye shall sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Luke 22:32

32 but I made supplication for thee, that thy faith fail not, and do thou, when once thou hast turned again, establish thy brethren. 33 And he said unto him, Lord, with thee I am ready to go both to prison and to death. 34 And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.

Luke 22:34

34 And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.

3 And Pilate asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answered him and said, Thou sayest.

Luke 23:32

32 And there were also two others, malefactors, led with him to be put to death.

Luke 24:25-27

25 And he said unto them, O foolish men, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! 26 Behooved it not the Christ to suffer these things, and to enter into his glory? 27 And beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, he interpreted to them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

Luke 24:30

30 And it came to pass, when he had sat down with them to meat, he took the bread and blessed, and breaking it he gave to them.

Luke 24:44-46

44 And he said unto them, These are my words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must needs be fulfilled, which are written in the law of Moses, and the prophets, and the psalms, concerning me. 45 Then opened he their mind, that they might understand the scriptures, 46 and he said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and rise again from the dead the third day,

Luke 24:46-46

46 and he said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and rise again from the dead the third day,

34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to accomplish his work.

John 5:30

30 I can of myself do nothing; as I hear, I judge; and my judgment is righteous, because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father that sent me.

John 5:39-47

39 Ye search the scriptures, because ye think that in them ye have eternal life, and these are they which bear witness of me, 40 and ye will not come to me, that ye may have life. 41 I receive not glory from men. 42 But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in yourselves. 43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not; if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. 44 How can ye believe, who receive glory one of another, and the glory that cometh from the only God ye seek not? 45 Think not that I will accuse you to the Father; there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, on whom ye have set your hope. 46 For if ye believed Moses, ye would believe me, for he wrote of me. 47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

John 6:23

23 (howbeit there came boats from Tiberias nigh unto the place where they ate the bread after the Lord had given thanks):

John 6:27

27 Work not for the food which perisheth, but for the food which abideth unto eternal life, which the Son of man shall give unto you; for him the Father, even God, hath sealed.

John 6:38

38 For I am come down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

John 6:50-58

50 This is the bread which cometh down out of heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. 51 I am the living bread which came down out of heaven; if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever; yea and the bread which I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

John 6:51

51 I am the living bread which came down out of heaven; if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever; yea and the bread which I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. 52 The Jews therefore strove one with another, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat? 53 Jesus therefore said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, ye have not life in yourselves. 54 He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. 56 He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood abideth in me, and I in him. 57 As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so he that eateth me, he also shall live because of me. 58 This is the bread which came down out of heaven; not as your fathers ate the manna, and died, he that eateth this bread shall live for ever.

John 6:67-68

67 Jesus said therefore unto the twelve, Would ye also go away? 68 Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.

John 6:70-71

70 Jesus answered them, Did not I choose you the twelve, and one of you is a devil? 71 Now he spake of Judas the son of Simon Iscariot, for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.

John 7:25-26

25 Some therefore of them of Jerusalem said, Is not this he whom they seek to kill? 26 And lo, he speaketh openly, and they say nothing unto him. Can it be that the rulers indeed know that this is indeed the Christ?

John 7:30

30 They sought therefore to take him; and no man laid his hand on him, because his hour was not yet come.

John 7:45

45 The officers therefore came to the chief priests and Pharisees, and they said unto them, Why did ye not bring him?

John 8:31

31 Jesus therefore said to those Jews that had believed him, If ye abide in my word, then are ye truly my disciples,

John 8:43-45

43 Why do ye not understand my speech? Even because ye cannot hear my word. 44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father it is your will to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and standeth not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own; for he is a liar, and the father thereof. 45 But because I say the truth, ye believe me not.

John 9:27-28

27 He answered them, I told you even now, and ye did not hear, wherefore would ye hear it again? would ye also become his disciples? 28 And they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple, but we are disciples of Moses.

John 10:24-26

24 The Jews therefore came round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou hold us in suspense? If thou art the Christ, tell us plainly. 25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believe not; the works that I do in my Father's name, these bear witness of me. 26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.

John 10:30

30 I and the Father are one.

John 10:35

35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came (and the scripture cannot be broken), 36 say ye of him, whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest, because I said, I am the Son of God?

John 11:28

28 And when she had said this, she went away, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Teacher is her, and calleth thee.

John 11:40

40 Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou believedst, thou shouldest see the glory of God?

John 11:47-53

47 The chief priests therefore and the Pharisees gathered a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many signs. 48 If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him; and the Romans will come and take away both our place and our nation. 49 But a certain one of them, Caiaphas, being high priest that year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all, 50 nor do ye take account that it is expedient for us that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not. 51 Now this he said not of himself; but, being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for the nation, 52 and not for the nation only, but that he might also gather together into one the children of God that are scattered abroad. 53 So from that day forth they took counsel that they might put him to death.

John 11:55-57

55 Now the passover of the Jews was at hand; and many went up to Jerusalem out of the country before the passover, to purify themselves. 56 They sought therefore for Jesus, and spake one with another, as they stood in the temple, What think ye? That he will not come to the feast? 57 Now the chief priests and the Pharisees had given commandment, that, if any man knew where he was, he should show it, that they might take him.

John 11:57

57 Now the chief priests and the Pharisees had given commandment, that, if any man knew where he was, he should show it, that they might take him.

John 12:6

6 Now this he said, not because he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and having the bag took away what was put therein.

John 12:27-28

27 Now is my soul troubled, and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour. But for this cause came I unto this hour.

John 12:27

27 Now is my soul troubled, and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour. But for this cause came I unto this hour. 28 Father, glorify thy name. There came therefore a voice out of heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.

John 12:37-43

37 But though he had done so many signs before them, yet they believed not on him: 38 that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? And to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed? 39 For this cause they could not believe, for that Isaiah said again, 40 He hath blinded their eyes, and he hardened their heart, Lest they should see with their eyes, and perceive with their heart, And should turn, And I should heal them. 41 These things said Isaiah, when he saw his glory, and he spake of him. 42 Nevertheless even of the rulers many believed on him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess it, lest they should be put out of the synagogue: 43 for they loved the glory that is of men more than the glory that is of God.

John 13:1

1 Now before the feast of the passover, Jesus knowing that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto his Father, having loved his own that were in the world, he loved them unto the end. 2 And supper being ended, the devil having already put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him,

John 13:5-16

5 Then he poureth water into the basin, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded. 6 So he cometh to Simon Peter; and he saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet? 7 Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now, but thou shalt understand hereafter. 8 Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me. 9 Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head. 10 Jesus saith to him, He that is bathed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit; and ye are clean, but not all. 11 For he knew him that should betray him, therefore said he, Ye are not all clean. 12 So when he had washed their feet, and taken his garments, and sat down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you? 13 Ye call me, Teacher, and, Lord; and ye say well, for so I am. 14 If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, have washed your feet, ye also ought to wash one another's feet. 15 For I have given you an example, that ye also should do as I have done to you. 16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, a servant is not greater than his lord, neither one that is sent greater than he that sent him.

John 13:18

18 I speak not of you all; I know whom I have chosen; but that the scripture may be fulfilled; He that eateth bread with me lifted up his heel against me.

John 13:18-19

18 I speak not of you all; I know whom I have chosen; but that the scripture may be fulfilled; He that eateth bread with me lifted up his heel against me. 19 From henceforth I tell you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe that I am he.

John 13:21-22

21 When Jesus had thus said, he was troubled in the spirit, and testified, and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me. 22 The disciples looked one on another, doubting of whom he spake.

John 13:22-25

22 The disciples looked one on another, doubting of whom he spake. 23 There was at the table reclining in Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved. 24 Simon Peter therefore beckoneth to him, and saith unto him, Tell us who it is of whom he speaketh. 25 He leaning back, as he was, on Jesus' breast saith unto him, Lord, who is it? 26 Jesus answereth, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it. And when he had dipped the sop, he giveth it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon.

John 13:26

26 Jesus answereth, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it. And when he had dipped the sop, he giveth it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon. 27 And after the sop, then entered Satan into him. Jesus therefore saith unto him, What thou doest, do quickly.

John 13:36-37

36 Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, whither goest thou? Jesus answered, Whither I go, thou canst not follow now, but thou shalt follow afterwards. 37 Peter saith unto him, Lord, why cannot I follow thee even now? I will lay down my life for thee. 38 Jesus answereth, Wilt thou lay down thy life for me? Verily, verily, I say unto thee, The cock shall not crow, till thou hast denied me thrice.

John 14:19

19 Yet a little while, and the world beholdeth me no more, but ye behold me; because I live, ye shall live also.

John 14:30

30 I will no more speak much with you, for the prince of the world cometh; and he hath nothing in me,

John 15:20

20 Remember the word that I said unto you, A servant is not greater than his lord. If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you, if they kept my word, they will keep yours also.

John 16:4

4 But these things have I spoken unto you, that when their hour is come, ye may remember them, how that I told you. And these things I said not unto you from the beginning, because I was with you.

John 16:20-22

20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, that ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice; ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy. 21 A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come; but when she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for the joy that a man is born into the world. 22 And ye therefore now have sorrow; but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no one taketh away from you.

John 16:33

33 These things have I spoken unto you, that in me ye may have peace. In the world ye have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.

John 17:1

1 These things spake Jesus, and lifting up his eyes to heaven, he said, Father, the hour is come, glorify thy Son, that the son may glorify thee;

John 17:4

4 I glorified thee on the earth, having accomplished the work which thou hast given me to do.

John 17:9-11

9 I pray for them; I pray not for the world, but for those whom thou hast given me, for they are thine; 10 and all things that are mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them. 11 { And I am no more in the world, and these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep them in thy name which thou hast given me, that they may be one, even as we are. 12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name; those that thou gavest me I have guarded, and not one of them perished, but the son of perdition, that the scripture might be fulfilled.

John 17:15-21

15 { I pray not that thou shouldest take them from the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world even as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them in thy truth; thy word is truth. 18 As thou didst send me into the world, even so sent I them into the world. 19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth. 20 Neither for these only do I pray, but for them also that believe on me through their word, 21 that they may all be one, even as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us; that the world may believe that thou didst send me.

John 18:1-2

1 When Jesus had spoken these words, he went forth with his disciples over the brook Kidron, where was a garden, into which he entered, himself and his disciples. 2 Now Judas also, who betrayed him, knew the place; for Jesus oft-times resorted thither with his disciples.

John 18:2-11

2 Now Judas also, who betrayed him, knew the place; for Jesus oft-times resorted thither with his disciples. 3 Judas then, having received the band of soldiers, and officers from the chief priests and the Pharisees, cometh thither with lanterns and torches and weapons. 4 Jesus therefore, knowing all the things that were coming upon him, went forth, and saith unto them, Whom seek ye? 5 They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, who betrayed him, was standing with them. 6 When therefore he said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground. 7 Again therefore he asked them, Whom seek ye? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth. 8 Jesus answered, I told you that I am he, if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way;

John 18:8-9

8 Jesus answered, I told you that I am he, if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way; 9 that the word might be fulfilled which he spake, Of those whom thou hast given me I lost not one.

John 18:9-9

9 that the word might be fulfilled which he spake, Of those whom thou hast given me I lost not one. 10 Simon Peter therefore having a sword drew it, and struck the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. Now the servant's name was Malchus. 11 Jesus therefore said unto Peter, Put up the sword into the sheath; the cup which the Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?

John 18:11-11

11 Jesus therefore said unto Peter, Put up the sword into the sheath; the cup which the Father hath given me, shall I not drink it? 12 So the band and the chief captain, and the officers of the Jews, seized Jesus and bound him, 13 and led him to Annas first, for he was father in law to Caiaphas, who was high priest that year. 14 Now Caiaphas was he that gave counsel to the Jews, that it was expedient that one man should die for the people. 15 And Simon Peter followed Jesus, and so did another disciple. Now that disciple was known unto the high priest, and entered in with Jesus into the court of the high priest, 16 but Peter was standing at the door without. So the other disciple, who was known unto the high priest, went out and spake unto her that kept the door, and brought in Peter.

John 18:16-18

16 but Peter was standing at the door without. So the other disciple, who was known unto the high priest, went out and spake unto her that kept the door, and brought in Peter. 17 The maid therefore that kept the door saith unto Peter, Art thou also one of this man's disciples? He saith, I am not.

John 18:17-18

17 The maid therefore that kept the door saith unto Peter, Art thou also one of this man's disciples? He saith, I am not.

John 18:17

17 The maid therefore that kept the door saith unto Peter, Art thou also one of this man's disciples? He saith, I am not. 18 Now the servants and the officers were standing there, having made a fire of coals, for it was cold, and they were warming themselves; and Peter also was with them, standing and warming himself.

John 18:22

22 And when he had said this, one of the officers standing by struck Jesus with his hand, saying, Answerest thou the high priest so?

John 18:24

24 Annas therefore sent him bound unto Caiaphas the high priest. 25 Now Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. They said therefore unto him, Art thou also one of his disciples? He then denied, and said, I am not.

John 18:25

25 Now Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. They said therefore unto him, Art thou also one of his disciples? He then denied, and said, I am not. 26 One of the servants of the high priest, being a kinsman of him whose ear Peter cut off, saith, Did not I see thee in the garden with him? 27 Peter therefore denied again; and straightway the cock crew.

John 18:27-27

27 Peter therefore denied again; and straightway the cock crew. 28 They lead Jesus therefore from Caiaphas into the Praetorium; and it was early, and they themselves entered not into the Praetorium, that they might not be defiled, but might eat the passover.

John 18:36

36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world; if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now is my kingdom not from hence. 37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end have I been born, and to this end am I come into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

John 19:7

7 The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.

John 19:28-30

28 After this Jesus, seeing that all things are now finished, that the scripture might be accomplished, saith, I thirst. 29 There was set there a vessel full of vinegar; so they put a sponge full of the vinegar upon hyssop, and brought it to his mouth. 30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished; and he bowed his head, and gave up his spirit.

John 21:15-17

15 So when they had broken their fast, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonah, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord, thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. 16 He saith to him again a second time, Simon, son of Jonah, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord, thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Tend my sheep. 17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonah, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things, thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

John 21:17-17

17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonah, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things, thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

13 And when they were come in, they went up into the upper chamber, where they were abiding, both Peter and John and James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon the Zealot, and Judas the son of James.

16 Brethren, it was needful that the Scripture should be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spake before by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who was guide to them that took Jesus.

Acts 1:16-18

16 Brethren, it was needful that the Scripture should be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spake before by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who was guide to them that took Jesus. 17 For he was numbered among us, and received his portion in this ministry.

Acts 1:17-18

17 For he was numbered among us, and received his portion in this ministry. 18 (Now this man obtained a field with the reward of his iniquity, and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.

Acts 1:18-18

18 (Now this man obtained a field with the reward of his iniquity, and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out. 19 And it became known to all the dwellers at Jerusalem, insomuch that in their language that field was called Akeldama, that is, The field of blood.) 20 For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be made desolate, And let no man dwell therein; and, His office let another take. 21 Of the men therefore that have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and went out among us, 22 beginning from the baptism of John, unto the day that he was received up from us, of these must one become a witness with us of his resurrection. 23 And they put forward two, Joseph called Barsabbas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias. 24 And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, who knowest the hearts of all men, show of these two the one whom thou hast chosen, 25 to take the portion in this ministry and apostleship from which Judas fell away, that he might go to his own place.

Acts 1:25

25 to take the portion in this ministry and apostleship from which Judas fell away, that he might go to his own place.

1 Corinthians 5:7

For our passover also hath been sacrificed for us, even Christ: 8 wherefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

1 Corinthians 6:2-3

1 Corinthians 10:16-21

16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not a communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not a communion of the body of Christ? 17 seeing that we, who are many, are one bread, one body; for we are all partake of the one bread. 18 Behold Israel after the flesh; have not they that eat the sacrifices communion with the altar? 19 What say I then? that a thing sacrificed to idols is anything, or that an idol is anything? 20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons, and not to God; and I would not that ye should have communion with demons. 21 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of demons; ye cannot partake of the table of the Lord, and of the table of demons.

1 Corinthians 11:23-29

23 For I received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which he was betrayed took bread, 24 and when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat; this is my body, which is broken for you; this do in remembrance of me. 25 In like manner also the cup, after supper, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood; this do, as often as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

1 Corinthians 11:25

25 In like manner also the cup, after supper, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood; this do, as often as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. 26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink the cup, ye proclaim the Lord's death till he come. 27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat the bread or drink the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner, shall be guilty of the body of the Lord and of the blood of the Lord. 28 But let a man prove himself, and so let him eat of the bread, and drink of the cup. 29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh judgment unto himself, not discerning the Lord's body.

4 who comforteth us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort them that are in any affliction, through the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. 5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound unto us, even so our comfort also aboundeth through Christ. 6 But whether we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation, which worketh in the patient enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer; and our hope for you is stedfast. Whether we are comforted, it is for your comfort, 7 knowing that, as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so also are ye of the comfort.

15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what portion hath a believer with an unbeliever? 16 And what agreement hath a temple of God with idols? for ye are a temple of the living God, even as God said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore Come ye out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, And touch no unclean thing, And I will receive you,

2 Corinthians 7:9-11

9 I now rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye were made sorry unto repentance, for ye were made sorry after a godly sort, that ye might suffer loss by us in nothing. 10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance unto salvation, a repentance which bringeth no regret; but the sorrow of the world worketh death. 11 For behold, this selfsame thing, that ye were made sorry after a godly sort, what earnest care it wrought in you, yea what clearing of yourselves, yea what indignation, yea what fear, yea what longing, yea what zeal, yea what avenging! In everything ye approved yourselves to be pure in the matter.

4 (for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the casting down of strongholds),

2 Corinthians 12:7-10

7 And by reason of the exceeding greatness of the revelations, that I should not be exalted overmuch, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, that I should not be exalted overmuch. 8 Concerning this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. 9 And he hath said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee; for my power is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Wherefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake; for when I am weak, then am I strong.

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of the darkness of this world, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Ephesians 6:12

12 For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of the darkness of this world, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Wherefore take up the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace, 16 withal taking up the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 with all prayer and supplication praying at all seasons in the Spirit, and watching thereunto in all perseverance and supplication for all the saints,

1 Timothy 1:14-14

14 and the grace of our Lord abounded exceedingly with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. 15 Faithful is the saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief: 16 howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me as chief might Jesus Christ show forth all his longsuffering, for an ensample of them that should thereafter believe on him unto eternal life.

Hebrews 8:6-13

6 But now hath he obtained a ministry the more excellent, by so much as he is also the mediator of a better covenant, which hath been enacted upon better promises. 7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then would no place have been sought for a second. 8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, That I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, 9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers In the day that I took them by the hand to lead them forth out of the land of Egypt, For they continued not in my covenant, And I regarded them not, saith the Lord. 10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their mind, And on their heart also will I write them; And I will be to them a God, And they shall be to me a people: 11 And they shall not teach every man his fellow-citizen, And every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord; For all shall know me, From the least to the greatest of them. 12 For I will be merciful to their iniquities, And their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. 13 In that he saith, A new covenant he hath made the first old. But that which is becoming old and waxeth aged is nigh unto vanishing away.

Hebrews 10:1-10

1 For the law having a shadow of the good things to come, not the very image of the things; with the same sacrifices year by year, which they offer continually, they can never make perfect them that draw nigh. 2 Else would they not have ceased to be offered? because the worshippers, having been once cleansed, would have had no more consciousness of sins. 3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance made of sins year by year. 4 For it is impossible that the blood of bulls and goats should take away sins. 5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, But a body didst thou prepare for me, 6 In whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hadst no pleasure: 7 Then said I, Lo, I am come (In the roll of the book it is written of me) To do thy will, O God. 8 Saying above, Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein (the which are offered according to the law), 9 then hath he said, Lo, I am come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. 10 By which will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

1 Peter 5:5

5 Likewise, ye younger, be subject unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another. Gird yourselves with humility, for God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace to the humble. 6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time,

2 Peter 1:10-12

2 Peter 3:17-18

17 Ye therefore, beloved, knowing these things beforehand, beware lest, being carried away with the error of the wicked, ye fall from your own stedfastness. 18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and for ever. Amen.

9 I wrote unto the church; but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not. 10 Therefore, if I come, I will bring to remembrance his works which he doeth, prating against us with wicked words; and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and them that would he forbiddeth and casteth them out of the church. 11 Woe unto them! For they went in the way of Cain, and ran riotously in the error of Balaam for hire, and perished in the gainsaying of Korah.
