⁶ If you were pure and upright; surely now he would awake for you, and make the habitation of your righteousness prosperous.

⁸ And the LORD said unto Satan, Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a blameless and an upright man, one that fears God, and turns away from evil?

⁶ Is not this your fear, your confidence, your hope, and the uprightness of your ways? ⁷ Remember, I pray you, who ever perished, being innocent? or where were the righteous cut off?

²⁴ And you shall know that your tabernacle shall be in peace; and you shall visit your habitation, and shall find nothing amiss.

¹⁷ Not for any violence in my hands: also my prayer is pure.

¹⁴ Therefore they say unto God, Depart from us; for we desire not the knowledge of your ways. ¹⁵ What is the Almighty, that we should serve him? and what profit should we have, if we pray unto him?

²³ If you return to the Almighty, you shall be built up, you shall put away iniquity far from your tents. ²⁴ Then shall you lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks. ²⁵ Yea, the Almighty shall be your defense, and you shall have plenty of silver. ²⁶ For then shall you have your delight in the Almighty, and shall lift up your face unto God. ²⁷ You shall make your prayer unto him, and he shall hear you, and you shall pay your vows. ²⁸ You shall also decree a thing, and it shall be established for you: and the light shall shine upon your ways. ²⁹ When men are cast down, then you shall say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person. ³⁰ He shall deliver the innocent man: and he is delivered by the pureness of your hands.

⁶ Arise, O LORD, in your anger, lift up yourself because of the rage of my enemies: and awake for me to the judgment that you have commanded.

⁵ I have hated the congregation of evildoers; and will not sit with the wicked. ⁶ I will wash my hands in innocence: so will I go about your altar, O LORD:

²³ Awake, why sleep you, O Lord? arise, cast us not off forever.

⁴ They run and prepare themselves apart from my fault: awake to help me, and behold. ⁵ You therefore, O LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel, awake to punish all the nations: be not merciful to any wicked transgressors. Selah.

⁸ The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight.

¹⁵ And when you spread forth your hands, I will hide my eyes from you: yea, when you make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.

¹⁰ Say you to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their deeds.

⁹ Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. Are you not him who has cut Rahab, and wounded the sea monster?

⁸ I desire therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

¹⁹ And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him. ²⁰ For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. ²¹ Beloved, if our heart condemns us not, then have we confidence toward God. ²² And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
