¹⁰ Let the wicked fall into their own nets, while I thus escape.

¹⁰ So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king's wrath abated.

¹⁵ He made a pit, and dug it, and has fallen into the ditch which he made. ¹⁶ His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own crown.

⁸ Let destruction come upon him unawares; and let his net that he has hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall.

¹⁴ The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright behavior. ¹⁵ Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.

⁷ But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded. ⁸ So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away.

⁹ As for the head of those that compass me about, let the mischief of their own lips cover them.

⁸ The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked comes in his stead.
