A storm wind was coming from the north, a great cloud, and fire flashing back and forth, and brightness around and _⌊within it_⌋,* and from its midst* it was like the outward appearance of amber stone from the midst* of the fire. ⁵ And from its midst* was the likeness of four living creatures, and this was their appearance: _⌊a human form_⌋,* ⁶ and _⌊each had four faces_⌋,* and _⌊each of them had four wings_⌋.* ⁷ And their legs were straight legs, and the sole of their feet was like the sole of the foot of a calf, and they were sparkling like the outward appearance of polished bronze. ⁸ And under their wings were _⌊human hands_⌋* on their four sides. And their faces and their wings for the four of them were as follows: ⁹ _⌊their wings were touching one another_⌋;* _⌊each of them went straight forward_⌋,* _⌊without turning right or left_⌋.* ¹⁰ The likeness of their faces was the face of a human in front, and the face of a lion on the right _⌊of each of them_⌋,* and the face of an ox on the left _⌊of each of them_⌋,* and the face of an eagle _⌊for each of them_⌋.* ¹¹ So were their faces; their wings were spread out _⌊upward_⌋;* each had two touching one another and two covering their bodies. ¹² And each _⌊went straight forward_⌋;* _⌊wherever the spirit went_⌋* they went, and _⌊they did not turn as they went_⌋.* ¹³ As for* the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, like the appearance of torches. It* was moving to and fro between the living creatures, and _⌊the fire was very bright_⌋* and lightning was going out from the fire. ¹⁴ And the living creatures _⌊were speeding to and fro_⌋* like the appearance of lightning. ¹⁵ And I saw the living creatures, and look! A wheel was on the earth* beside _⌊each of the living creatures that had four faces_⌋.* ¹⁶ The appearance of the wheels and their construction was like the appearance of beryl,* and _⌊they all looked alike_⌋,* and their appearance and their construction was _⌊like a wheel within a wheel_⌋.* ¹⁷ When they moved, they went toward their four sides; they did not _⌊veer at all as they went_⌋.* ¹⁸ And their rims _⌊were high and awesome_⌋,* and _⌊all four of_⌋* their rims were full of eyes all around. ¹⁹ And at the going of the living creatures, the wheels next to them also went, and _⌊when the creatures were lifted from the ground_⌋* the wheels also rose. ²⁰ _⌊Wherever_⌋* the spirit went they would go there, and the wheels rose, for the spirit of the living creatures* was in the wheels. ²¹ At their* going, they* go, and at their standing, they stood, and at their being lifted up from on the earth,* the wheels rose,* for the spirit of the living creatures* was in the wheels. ²² Now* the likeness above the heads of the living creatures was an expanse like the outward appearance of _⌊awesome_⌋* _⌊ice_⌋* spread out above their heads _⌊upward_⌋.* ²³ And under the expanse their wings were stretched out straight _⌊one toward the other_⌋;* each had two wings covering them, and each had two wings covering their bodies. ²⁴ And I heard the sound of their wings like the sound of many waters, like the voice of Shaddai,* and _⌊when they moved_⌋* there was a sound of tumult like the sound of an army; _⌊when they stood still_⌋* they lowered their wings. ²⁵ And there was* a sound from above the expanse that was above their heads, _⌊and when they stood_⌋* they lowered their wings. ²⁶ And from above the expanse that was above their heads there was the likeness of a throne, _⌊looking like a sapphire_⌋,* and above the likeness of the throne was a likeness similar to* the appearance of a human on it, but _⌊above it_⌋.* ²⁷ And I saw something like the outward appearance of amber, something like the appearance of fire, with a covering around it, from the likeness of his loins and _⌊upward_⌋.* And from the likeness of his loins and _⌊downward_⌋* I saw something like the appearance of fire, and _⌊it was radiant all around_⌋.* ²⁸ Like the appearance* of a bow that is in the cloud on _⌊a rainy day_⌋,* such was the radiance* around it; thus was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of Yahweh. And I saw, and I fell on my face, and I heard a voice speaking.

¹ After these things the word of Yahweh came* to Abram in a vision, saying: "Do not be afraid, Abram; I am your shield, and your reward shall be very great."

² And God spoke to Israel in visions of the night and said, "Jacob, Jacob." And he said, "Here I am."

¹⁰ And they saw the God of Israel, and what was under his feet was like sapphire tile work and like the very heavens for clearness.

³ from _⌊thirty years old_⌋* and above, up to _⌊fifty years old_⌋,* everyone who comes to the service to do the work in the tent of assembly.

⁶ and he said,
"Please hear my words: If there is a prophet among you, I, Yahweh, will make myself known to him in a vision. I will speak to him in a dream.*

¹ So all this I laid to my heart, and I concluded* that the righteous and the wise, as well as their deeds, are in the hand of God. So no one knows anything that will come to them, whether it will be love or hatred. ² The same fate comes to everyone:
to the righteous and to the wicked, to the good and to the wicked,* to the clean and to the unclean, to those who sacrifice and to those who do not sacrifice. As with the good man, so also to the sinner; as with those who swear an oath, so also those who fear oaths.

¹ The vision of Isaiah son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.

⁵ "Thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, 'Like these good figs, so I will regard as good the exiles* of Judah whom I have sent away from this place to the land of the Chaldeans. ⁶ For I will set my eyes* on them for good, and I will bring them back to this land. And I will build them and not annihilate them, and I will plant them and not uproot them. ⁷ And I will give to them a heart to know me, that I am Yahweh, and _⌊they will be my people_⌋,* and _⌊I will be their God_⌋,* for they will return to me with the whole of their heart.

³ the word of Yahweh _⌊came_⌋* clearly* to Ezekiel the son of Buzi, the priest, in the land of the Chaldeans at the _⌊Kebar River_⌋,* and the hand of Yahweh was on him there.

¹⁵ And I went to the exiles* at Tel Abib, who were dwelling near the _⌊Kebar River_⌋,* and I sat where they were dwelling. I sat there seven days in the midst of them, stunned.

²³ And I rose up, and I went to the valley, and, look, there the glory of Yahweh was standing, like the glory that I saw near the _⌊Kebar River_⌋,* and I fell on my face.

³ And he sent out the form of a hand, and he took me by a lock of hair of my head, and the Spirit lifted me between earth and heaven, and it brought me to Jerusalem in visions of God to the doorway of the inner gate _⌊that faced north_⌋,* at which there was the seat of the image of jealousy, which was making jealous.

¹⁵ And the cherubim rose; that is, the living creatures* that I saw at the _⌊Kebar River_⌋.*

²⁰ This was* the living creature that I saw under the God of Israel at the _⌊Kebar River_⌋,* and I knew that they were cherubim.

²² And the likeness of their faces, they were the faces that I saw at the _⌊Kebar River_⌋;* thus was their appearance, and they each went _⌊straight ahead_⌋.*

²⁴ And the Spirit lifted me up, and it brought me to Chaldea, to the exiles,* in the vision by the spirit of God; and the vision that I had seen _⌊left me_⌋.*

² in visions from God. He brought me to the land of Israel and put me on a very high mountain, and on it was something like a structure of a city to the south.

³ And* the appearance of the vision which I saw was as* the vision which I saw at his* coming to destroy the city, and these visions were also as* the vision which I saw by the _⌊Kebar River_⌋,* and I fell on my face.

¹ In the third year of the kingdom of Belshazzar the king, a vision appeared _⌊to me, Daniel_⌋,* after the one that appeared to me _⌊previously_⌋.* ² And I saw in the vision, _⌊and when I saw_⌋,* I was in Susa, the citadel that was in the province of Elam. And I saw in the vision, and _⌊I myself_⌋* was at the stream of Ulai.*

¹⁰ I spoke to the prophets; I myself multiplied revelations* and through the hand of the prophets I will destroy.

²⁸ * And it will happen afterward thus: I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters will prophesy, and your elders will dream dreams; your young men shall see visions.

¹⁶ Now after he* was baptized, Jesus immediately went up from the water, and behold, the heavens opened* and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove coming* upon him.

⁹ And as* they were coming down from the mountain, Jesus commanded them saying, "Tell no one the vision until the Son of Man is raised from the dead."

¹⁰ And immediately as he* was coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens being split apart and the Spirit descending like a dove on him.

²¹ Now it happened that when all the people were baptized, Jesus also was baptized, and while he* was praying, heaven was opened,

²³ And Jesus, when he* began his ministry,* was himself about thirty years old, being the son (as it was believed) of Joseph the son of Eli,

⁵¹ And he said to him, "Truly, truly I say to all of you, you will see heaven opened and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man."

⁵⁶ And he said, "Behold, I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!"

¹⁰ Now there was a certain disciple in Damascus _⌊named_⌋* Ananias, and the Lord said to him in a vision, "Ananias!" And he said, "Behold, here I am, Lord!" ¹¹ And the Lord said to him, "Get up, go to the street called 'Straight' and in the house of Judas look for _⌊a man named Saul from Tarsus_⌋.* For behold, he is praying, ¹² and he has seen in a vision a man _⌊named_⌋* Ananias coming in and placing hands* on him so that he may regain his sight."

³ About the ninth hour of the day, he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God coming to him and saying to him, "Cornelius."

¹¹ And he saw heaven opened and an object something like a large sheet coming down, being let down to the earth by its four corners,

¹ It is necessary to boast; it is not profitable, but I will proceed to visions and revelations of the Lord.

¹ After these things I looked, and behold, an open door in heaven, and the former voice that I had heard like a trumpet speaking with me was saying, "Come up here and I will show you the things which must take place after these things."

¹¹ And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and the one seated on it was called "Faithful" and "True," and with justice* he judges and makes war.

¹² Jehoiachin king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon, he, his mother, his servants, his commanders, and his court officials. The king of Babylon took him in the eighth year of his reign. ¹³ Then he took from there all of the treasures of the temple of Yahweh and the treasures of the palace of the king. He cut up all of the vessels of gold which Solomon the king of Israel had made in the temple of Yahweh, as Yahweh had foretold. ¹⁴ He deported all of Jerusalem: all of the commanders, ten thousand of the skilled warriors, and the artisans; no one was left over except the poorest of the people of the land. ¹⁵ He deported Jehoiachin to Babylon; the mother of the king, the wives of the king, his court officials, and the citizenry of the land he caused to go into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon:

¹ _⌊And then_⌋* in the sixth year, in the sixth month, on the fifth day of the month, I was sitting in my house, and the elders of Judah were sitting _⌊before me_⌋.* And the hand of the Lord Yahweh fell on me there,

¹ And then in the seventh year, in the fifth month, on the tenth day of the month, men from the elders of Israel came to consult Yahweh, and they sat _⌊before me_⌋.*

¹ In the tenth year, in the tenth month, on the _⌊twelfth_⌋* day of the month, the word of Yahweh _⌊came_⌋* to me, _⌊saying_⌋,*

¹⁷ _⌊And then_⌋* in _⌊the twenty-seventh year_⌋,* in the first month, on the first day of the month, the word of Yahweh _⌊came_⌋* to me, _⌊saying_⌋,*

¹ _⌊And then_⌋* _⌊in the eleventh_⌋* year, in the third month, on the first day of the month, the word of Yahweh _⌊came_⌋* to me, _⌊saying_⌋,*

¹ In the twenty-fifth year of our exile, at the beginning of the year, on the tenth day of the month, in the fourteenth year after the city was destroyed, in this day exactly, the hand of Yahweh was on me, and he brought me there

⁴⁶ but the hand of Yahweh was on Elijah; he girded up his loins and ran before Ahab as one comes to Jezreel.

¹⁵ But now, bring me a musician." It happened that at the moment the musician played, the hand of Yahweh came upon him.

² to whom the word of Yahweh came in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, the king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign.

⁴ And the word of Yahweh came to me, _⌊saying_⌋,*

¹ And it was in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, on the fifth day of the month, and I was in the midst of* the exiles* by the _⌊Kebar River_⌋.* The heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.

¹⁴ And the Spirit lifted me and took me, and I went in bitterness in the heat of my spirit, and the hand of Yahweh was strong on me.

²² And the hand of Yahweh was on me there, and he said to me, "Rise up, go out to the valley, and there I will speak with you."

²² And the hand of Yahweh was on me on the evening _⌊before_⌋* the coming of the survivor, and he opened my mouth _⌊before the survivor came to me in the morning_⌋,* and my mouth was opened, and I was _⌊no longer_⌋* dumb.*

¹ The hand of Yahweh was upon me, and he brought me by the Spirit of Yahweh, and he _⌊let me rest_⌋* in the midst of the valley, and it was full of bones.

¹ The word of Yahweh that came to Hosea son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, the kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel.

¹ The word of Yahweh that came to Joel son of Pethuel.

¹ Now the Spirit explicitly says that in the last times some will depart from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons,

¹⁶ _⌊And_⌋* on the third day, when it was morning, there was thunder and lightning, and a heavy cloud over the mountain and a very loud ram's horn sound, and all the people who were in the camp trembled. ¹⁷ And Moses brought the people out from the camp to meet God, and they took their stand at the foot of the mountain. ¹⁸ And Mount Sinai was all wrapped in smoke because Yahweh went down on it in the fire, and its smoke went up like the smoke of a smelting furnace, and the whole mountain trembled greatly.

¹⁶ And the glory of Yahweh settled on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it for six days, and he called to Moses on the seventh day from the midst of the cloud. ¹⁷ And the appearance of the glory of Yahweh was like a consuming fire on the top of the mountain to the eyes of* the _⌊Israelites_⌋.*

¹¹ And so you came near, and you stood under the mountain, and the mountain was burning with fire up to the heart of the heaven, _⌊dark with a very thick cloud_⌋.* ¹² And Yahweh spoke to you from the midst of the fire; _⌊you heard_⌋* a sound of words, but _⌊you did not see_⌋* a form—only a voice.

¹³ And it was the primary duty of the trumpeters and singers to make themselves heard with one voice, to praise and give thanks to Yahweh. And when a sound from the trumpets, cymbals, and other instruments of song was raised to Yahweh—for he is good, because his loyal love is everlasting—then the house, the house of Yahweh, was filled with a cloud.

¹ And when Solomon finished praying, then fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of Yahweh filled the house. ² And the priests were not able to go into the house of Yahweh, for the glory of Yahweh had filled the house. ³ When all the _⌊Israelites_⌋* saw the fire come down and the glory of Yahweh upon the house, they knelt down with their faces to the ground on the pavement and worshiped and gave thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his loyal love is everlasting.

¹¹ He made darkness his hiding place; all about him his covering was a darkness of waters, _⌊thick clouds_⌋.* ¹² From the brightness before him his clouds passed over with hail and coals of fire. ¹³ And Yahweh thundered from the heavens, and the Most High uttered his voice with hail and coals of fire.

³ Our God comes and he is not silent. Before him fire devours, and around him it is very tempestuous.

² Cloud and thick darkness are surrounding him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne. ³ Fire goes before him, and devours his enemies round about.

³ the one who sets beams in the waters for his upper chambers, who makes clouds his chariot, who rides* on the wings of the wind, ⁴ who makes his messengers the winds, his attendants a flame of fire.

¹ An oracle of Egypt:
Look! Yahweh is riding on a swift cloud and is coming to Egypt. And the idols of Egypt will tremble in front of him, and the heart of Egypt melts in his inner parts.

¹ The oracle of the wilderness of the sea:
As storm winds passing over in the Negev,
_⌊it comes_⌋* from the desert, from a frightful land.

¹³ And the word of Yahweh came to me a second time, _⌊saying_⌋,* "What are you seeing?" And I said, "I am seeing a _⌊boiling_⌋* pot, and its face is from the face of the north." ¹⁴ Then Yahweh said to me, "From the north disaster will be unleashed* on all the inhabitants of the land.

⁶ Lift up a signal toward Zion, bring yourselves to safety; you must not remain standing, for I am bringing evil from the north, and a great destruction.

¹ Flee for safety, O children of Benjamin, from the midst of Jerusalem. And in Tekoa blow a horn, and on Beth-haccherem lift up a signal, for evil looks down from the north, and a great destruction.

¹⁹ Look, the storm of Yahweh has gone forth in wrath, even a whirling tempest. It will whirl upon the head of the wicked.

⁹ look, I am going to send and take all the clans* of the north,' _⌊declares_⌋* Yahweh, 'and I will send* to Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and I will bring them against this land, and against its inhabitants, and against all these nations all around, and I will destroy them, and I will make them a horror, and an object of hissing, and _⌊everlasting ruins_⌋.*

³² Thus says Yahweh of hosts,
"Look, disaster is going out from nation to nation, and a great tempest is stirred up from the farthest parts of the earth.

²⁷ And I saw something like the outward appearance of amber, something like the appearance of fire, with a covering around it, from the likeness of his loins and _⌊upward_⌋.* And from the likeness of his loins and _⌊downward_⌋* I saw something like the appearance of fire, and _⌊it was radiant all around_⌋.*

² and I saw,* and look! A figure like the appearance of a man;* from the appearance of his waist and below was fire, and from his waist and _⌊upward_⌋* was like the appearance of brightness,* like the _⌊outward appearance of_⌋* amber.

² And he spoke* to the man clothed in linen and said, "Go _⌊in among the wheel area under the cherubim_⌋* and fill the hollow of your hands with coals of fire from among the cherubim, and toss them on the city." And he went right before my eyes. ³ Now* the cherubim were standing on the south of the temple _⌊when the man went_⌋,* and the cloud filled the inner courtyard. ⁴ And the glory of Yahweh rose up from on the cherub toward* the threshold of the house,* and the house* was filled with the cloud, and the courtyard was filled with the brightness of the glory of Yahweh.

⁸ And there appeared for* the cherubim the form of _⌊a human hand_⌋* under their wings. ⁹ And I saw, and look, four wheels beside the cherubim, _⌊one wheel beside each cherub_⌋,* and the appearance of the wheels was like the outward appearance of _⌊turquoise stone_⌋.*

³ Yahweh is slow to anger but great in power; he will certainly not allow the guilty to go unpunished. _⌊He marches_⌋* in storm wind and in gale; storm clouds are the dust of his feet. ⁴ He rebukes the sea and he dries up the rivers; he makes all the rivers run dry. Bashan and Carmel wither;* the blossom of Lebanon languishes. ⁵ Mountains quake before him; the hills shake apart.* The earth heaves before him— the world and all her inhabitants. ⁶ His indignation—who can stand before it? Who can endure _⌊his fierce anger_⌋?* His wrath is poured out like fire; rocks are shattered before* him.

⁸ Their* horses are more swift than leopards; they are more menacing than wolves at dusk. Their* horsemen gallop; their* horsemen come from afar; they fly like an eagle that is swift to devour. ⁹ All of them* come for violence, their faces pressing forward. They gather captives like the sand.

³ God came from Teman; the Holy One from Mount Paran. Selah His splendor covers the heavens, and his praise fills the earth. ⁴ And his brightness was like the light; flashing rays came from his hand for him; And there is the covering of his strength. ⁵ Before him went Disease,* and Pestilence* went out at his feet.

²⁹ For indeed our God is a consuming fire.

¹⁵ and his feet were like fine bronze when it has been fired in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of many waters,

²⁶ And from above the expanse that was above their heads there was the likeness of a throne, _⌊looking like a sapphire_⌋,* and above the likeness of the throne was a likeness similar to* the appearance of a human on it, but _⌊above it_⌋.*

⁶ And before the throne was something like a sea of glass, like crystal, and in the midst of the throne and around the throne were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back. ⁷ And the first living creature was similar to a lion, and the second living creature was similar to an ox, and the third living creature had a face like a man's, and the fourth living creature was similar to an eagle flying. ⁸ And the four living creatures, _⌊each one_⌋* of them, had six wings apiece, full of eyes around and inside, and they do not have rest day and night, saying,
"Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God All-Powerful,* the one who was and the one who is and the one who is coming!"

⁶ And I heard something like a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, "A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius, and do not damage the olive oil and the wine!"

²⁰ And the cherubim will be with outspread wings above, covering with their wings over the atonement cover _⌊and facing each other_⌋;* the faces of the cherubim will be toward the atonement cover.

²⁴ Five cubits was the first wing of the cherub, and five cubits the second wing of the cherub, from the tip of his one wing up to the tip of his other wing. ²⁵ The second cherub was ten cubits according to _⌊the same_⌋* measurement, and there was one shape for the two cherubim. ²⁶ The height of the first cherub was ten cubits and so was the second cherub. ²⁷ He placed the cherubim in the middle of the inner house, and they spread out the wings of the cherubim; the wing of the first cherub touched against the wall and the wing of the second cherub was touching against the second wall; their wings spread to the middle of the house and were touching wing to wing.

² Seraphs were standing above him. _⌊Each had six wings_⌋:* with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.

⁸ And under their wings were _⌊human hands_⌋* on their four sides. And their faces and their wings for the four of them were as follows: ⁹ _⌊their wings were touching one another_⌋;* _⌊each of them went straight forward_⌋,* _⌊without turning right or left_⌋.* ¹⁰ The likeness of their faces was the face of a human in front, and the face of a lion on the right _⌊of each of them_⌋,* and the face of an ox on the left _⌊of each of them_⌋,* and the face of an eagle _⌊for each of them_⌋.* ¹¹ So were their faces; their wings were spread out _⌊upward_⌋;* each had two touching one another and two covering their bodies.

¹⁴ And _⌊each one had four faces_⌋;* the face of the one was the face of a cherub, and the face of the second was the face of a human, and the face of the third was the face of a lion, and the fourth was the face of an eagle.

²¹ _⌊Each one had four faces_⌋,* and there were four wings for each, and the likeness of _⌊human hands_⌋* was under their wings. ²² And the likeness of their faces, they were the faces that I saw at the _⌊Kebar River_⌋;* thus was their appearance, and they each went _⌊straight ahead_⌋.*

³ Any among the animals that has a divided hoof and has a split cleft in* the hoof, such* you may eat.

⁴⁷ to distinguish between the unclean and the clean and between the animal that is to be eaten and the animal that must not be eaten.'"

⁴ who makes his messengers the winds, his attendants a flame of fire.

¹³ As for* the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, like the appearance of torches. It* was moving to and fro between the living creatures, and _⌊the fire was very bright_⌋* and lightning was going out from the fire.

⁶ Now his body was like turquoise,* and his face was like the appearance of lightning, and his eyes were like torches of fire, and his arms and his legs were like the gleam of polished bronze, and the sound of his words was like the sound of a multitude.

⁶ Then one of the seraphs flew to me, and in his hand was a hot coal he had taken from the altar with tongs.

¹⁷ When they moved, they went toward their four sides; they did not _⌊veer at all as they went_⌋.*

² And he spoke* to the man clothed in linen and said, "Go _⌊in among the wheel area under the cherubim_⌋* and fill the hollow of your hands with coals of fire from among the cherubim, and toss them on the city." And he went right before my eyes.

⁷ Then the cherub stretched out his hand from among* the cherubim toward the fire that was among* the cherubim, and he lifted up and gave* it into the hollow of the hand of the man clothed with linen, and he took it, and he went out. ⁸ And there appeared for* the cherubim the form of _⌊a human hand_⌋* under their wings.

¹¹ _⌊When they went_⌋* to the four of their directions that they went, they did not change direction _⌊when they went_⌋,* for the place to which the head* turned, they went behind him; they did not change direction at their going.

¹⁸ And the glory of Yahweh went out from* the threshold of the temple, and it stood above the cherubim.

²¹ _⌊Each one had four faces_⌋,* and there were four wings for each, and the likeness of _⌊human hands_⌋* was under their wings.

¹¹ The length of the outstretched wings of the cherubim were twenty cubits; one wing of five cubits touched the wall of the house, and the other wing of five cubits was touching the outstretched wing of the other cherub. ¹² And the wing of five cubits of the other cherub was touching the wall of the house, and its other wing five cubits long touching the wing of the first* cherub.

²⁵ May your eyes look forward* and your gaze be straight before you. ²⁶ May the path of your foot be balanced and all your ways be sure. ²⁷ Do not swerve right or left; remove your foot from evil.

¹¹ So were their faces; their wings were spread out _⌊upward_⌋;* each had two touching one another and two covering their bodies. ¹² And each _⌊went straight forward_⌋;* _⌊wherever the spirit went_⌋* they went, and _⌊they did not turn as they went_⌋.*

⁵¹ Now it happened that when the days were approaching _⌊for him to be taken up_⌋,* he set his* face to go to Jerusalem.

⁶² But Jesus said,* "No one who puts his* hand on the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God!"

¹⁰ Now I exhort you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all say the same thing and there not be divisions among you, and that you be made complete in the same mind and with the same purpose.

³ The ones who encamp on the eastern side, toward the sunrise, will be of the standard of the camp of Judah according to their divisions; and the leader of the descendants of Judah will be Nahshon son of Amminadab,

¹⁰ "The standard of the camp of Reuben will be to the south according to their divisions. The leader of the descendants will be Elizur son of Shedeur.

¹⁸ "The standard of the camp of Ephraim according to their divisions will be to the west. The leader of the descendants of Ephraim will be Elishama son of Ammihud.

²⁵ "The standard of the camp of Dan according to their divisions will be to the west. The leader of the descendants of Dan will be Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai.

⁴⁹ Yahweh will raise up against you a nation from far off, from the end of the earth, attacking as the eagle swoops down, _⌊a nation whose language you will not understand_⌋,*

¹⁸ The men of the city said to him on the seventh day before the sun went down,
"What is sweeter than honey? What is stronger than a lion?"
And he said to them,
"If you had not plowed with my heifer, you would not have found out my riddle."

⁸ And from the Gadites, valiant mighty warriors, _⌊soldiers fit for war_⌋,* expert with shield and spear, defected to David at the fortress toward the wilderness. And _⌊they had faces like lions_⌋* and were swift as gazelles upon the mountains.

²⁷ Or does the eagle fly high at your command and construct its nest high?

⁴ _⌊When there are no_⌋* oxen the manger is empty, but an abundance of crops comes by the strength of an ox.*

³¹ But* those who wait for Yahweh shall renew their strength. They shall go up with wings* like eagles; they shall run and not grow weary; they shall walk and not be faint.

⁸ Remember this and pluck up courage! Call to _⌊mind_⌋,* you transgressors!

⁴ The first was like a lion and _⌊had_⌋* the wings of an eagle. I was watching until its wings were plucked off, and it was lifted up from the earth and it was raised on its feet like a human, and a human heart was given to it.

¹⁰ In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents."

⁹ For in the law of Moses it is written, "You must not muzzle an ox while it* is threshing."* It is not about oxen God is concerned, is it?* ¹⁰ Or doubtless does he speak _⌊for our sake_⌋*? For it is written _⌊for our sake_⌋*, because the one who plows ought to plow in hope and the one who threshes ought to do so in hope of a share.

²⁰ Brothers, do not become children in your understanding, but with respect to wickedness be as a child, and in your understanding be mature.

⁷ And the first living creature was similar to a lion, and the second living creature was similar to an ox, and the third living creature had a face like a man's, and the fourth living creature was similar to an eagle flying.

⁵ And one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep! Behold, the lion of the tribe of Judah, the root of David, has conquered, so that he can open the scroll and its seven seals.

²³ And under the expanse their wings were stretched out straight _⌊one toward the other_⌋;* each had two wings covering them, and each had two wings covering their bodies.

¹⁶ And _⌊when the cherubim went_⌋,* the wheels beside them went; and _⌊when the cherubim lifted their wings to rise up from the earth_⌋,* the wheels also did not turn aside from beside them.

¹⁹ And the cherubim lifted up their wings, and they rose from the earth before my eyes. At their going out, the wheels were* beside them. And he stood at the doorway of the eastern gate of the temple* of Yahweh, and the glory of the God of Israel _⌊was over them_⌋.*

⁹ _⌊their wings were touching one another_⌋;* _⌊each of them went straight forward_⌋,* _⌊without turning right or left_⌋.*

²⁰ _⌊Wherever_⌋* the spirit went they would go there, and the wheels rose, for the spirit of the living creatures* was in the wheels. ²¹ At their* going, they* go, and at their standing, they stood, and at their being lifted up from on the earth,* the wheels rose,* for the spirit of the living creatures* was in the wheels.

¹⁴ Are they not all spirits engaged in special service, sent on assignment for the sake of those who are going to inherit salvation?

¹⁷ And after the sun had gone down and it was dusk, behold, a smoking firepot and a flaming torch passed between those half pieces.

⁷ And their legs were straight legs, and the sole of their feet was like the sole of the foot of a calf, and they were sparkling like the outward appearance of polished bronze.

⁵ And I lifted up my eyes and I saw,* and there was a man, and he was dressed in linen, and his waist was girded with the gold of Uphaz. ⁶ Now his body was like turquoise,* and his face was like the appearance of lightning, and his eyes were like torches of fire, and his arms and his legs were like the gleam of polished bronze, and the sound of his words was like the sound of a multitude.

³ Now his appearance was like lightning and his clothing white as snow.

⁵ And from the throne came out lightnings and sounds and thunders, and seven torches of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven spirits of God.

¹ And I saw another powerful angel descending from heaven, wrapped in a cloud, and a rainbow over his head, and his face was like the sun, and his feet were like pillars of fire,*

¹ After these things I saw another angel descending from heaven, who had great authority, and the earth was illuminated by his splendor.

¹⁵ He sends out his command* to the earth; his word runs swiftly.

²¹ And I was still speaking in prayer, and the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision _⌊previously_⌋,* _⌊in my weariness touched me_⌋* at the time of the evening offering.

³ And look, the angel who was talking to me was coming forward, and another angel was coming forward to meet him. ⁴ And he said to him, "Run, say to that young man, 'Jerusalem shall be inhabited _⌊like villages without walls_⌋* because of the multitude of people and animals in its midst.

¹⁰ For whoever has despised the day of small things will rejoice and will see the _⌊plumb line_⌋* in the hand of Zerubbabel."
These seven are the eyes of Yahweh which are ranging _⌊throughout the whole earth_⌋.*

²⁷ For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so the coming of the Son of Man will be.

³¹ And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect together from the four winds, from one end of heaven* to the other end of it.

²⁷ And then he will send out the angels, and will gather the* elect together from the four winds, from the end of the earth to the end of heaven.

²⁴ For just as the lightning shines forth, flashing from one place under heaven to another place under heaven, so the Son of Man will be in his day.

⁶ and _⌊each had four faces_⌋,* and _⌊each of them had four wings_⌋.*

¹⁹ And at the going of the living creatures, the wheels next to them also went, and _⌊when the creatures were lifted from the ground_⌋* the wheels also rose.

⁹ And I saw, and look, four wheels beside the cherubim, _⌊one wheel beside each cherub_⌋,* and the appearance of the wheels was like the outward appearance of _⌊turquoise stone_⌋.*

¹³ Concerning the wheels, he was calling them "the wheelwork" _⌊in my hearing_⌋.* ¹⁴ And _⌊each one had four faces_⌋;* the face of the one was the face of a cherub, and the face of the second was the face of a human, and the face of the third was the face of a lion, and the fourth was the face of an eagle. ¹⁵ And the cherubim rose; that is, the living creatures* that I saw at the _⌊Kebar River_⌋.* ¹⁶ And _⌊when the cherubim went_⌋,* the wheels beside them went; and _⌊when the cherubim lifted their wings to rise up from the earth_⌋,* the wheels also did not turn aside from beside them. ¹⁷ _⌊When they stood_⌋,* they stood, and at their rising, they rose with them, for the spirit of the living creatures was in them.

⁹ "_⌊I continued watching_⌋* until thrones were placed and an Ancient of Days sat; his clothing was like white snow and the hair of his head was like pure wool and his throne was a flame* of fire and its wheels* were burning fire.

¹³ and the fourth row was a turquoise, an onyx, and a jasper. They were set with gold filigree settings in their mountings.

¹⁰ He is the one who does great things _⌊beyond understanding_⌋* and marvelous things _⌊beyond number_⌋.*

⁶ Your righteousness is _⌊like the mighty mountains_⌋,* your judgments like the great deep. You save man and beast, O Yahweh.

⁵ Many things, O Yahweh my God, you have done— your wonderful deeds and your thoughts toward us. There is none to compare with you. If I tried to proclaim and tell of them, they would be too numerous to count.

⁹ And I saw, and look, four wheels beside the cherubim, _⌊one wheel beside each cherub_⌋,* and the appearance of the wheels was like the outward appearance of _⌊turquoise stone_⌋.* ¹⁰ Their appearance* _⌊was the same for each of the four of them_⌋,* as if the wheel was in the midst of a wheel. ¹¹ _⌊When they went_⌋* to the four of their directions that they went, they did not change direction _⌊when they went_⌋,* for the place to which the head* turned, they went behind him; they did not change direction at their going.

³³ Oh, the depth of the riches and the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how incomprehensible are his ways!

¹⁰ in order that the many-sided wisdom of God might be made known now to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places through the church,

¹¹ so shall be my word that goes out from my mouth. It shall not return to me without success, but shall accomplish* what I desire and be successful in the thing for which I sent it.

¹² And each _⌊went straight forward_⌋;* _⌊wherever the spirit went_⌋* they went, and _⌊they did not turn as they went_⌋.*

¹ And I looked, and look! On the expanse that was above the head of the cherubim something like a stone of sapphire,* and like the appearance of the shape of a throne it appeared above them. ² And he spoke* to the man clothed in linen and said, "Go _⌊in among the wheel area under the cherubim_⌋* and fill the hollow of your hands with coals of fire from among the cherubim, and toss them on the city." And he went right before my eyes. ³ Now* the cherubim were standing on the south of the temple _⌊when the man went_⌋,* and the cloud filled the inner courtyard. ⁴ And the glory of Yahweh rose up from on the cherub toward* the threshold of the house,* and the house* was filled with the cloud, and the courtyard was filled with the brightness of the glory of Yahweh. ⁵ And the sound of the wings of the cherubim was heard _⌊as far as_⌋* the outer courtyard; it was like the voice of God Shaddai* _⌊when he speaks_⌋.* ⁶ And then at his command* to the man clothed in linen, _⌊saying_⌋,* "Take fire from among the wheel area from among the cherubim," he went and stood beside the wheel. ⁷ Then the cherub stretched out his hand from among* the cherubim toward the fire that was among* the cherubim, and he lifted up and gave* it into the hollow of the hand of the man clothed with linen, and he took it, and he went out. ⁸ And there appeared for* the cherubim the form of _⌊a human hand_⌋* under their wings.

²² From the north comes gold— awesome majesty is around God. ²³ As for Shaddai, we cannot attain him; he is exalted in power, and he does not oppress justice and abundant righteousness. ²⁴ Therefore people revered him; he does not regard any* _⌊who think that they are wise_⌋."*

¹⁶ Waters saw you, O God; waters saw you and they trembled. Surely the deeps shook. ¹⁷ The clouds poured out water. The skies _⌊thundered_⌋.* Your arrows also _⌊flew about_⌋.* ¹⁸ The sound of your thunder was in the whirlwind;* lightnings lit the world; the earth shook and quaked. ¹⁹ Your way was through the sea, and your path* through many waters. Yet your footprints were not discerned.*

² Cloud and thick darkness are surrounding him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne. ³ Fire goes before him, and devours his enemies round about. ⁴ His lightnings light the world; the earth sees and trembles. ⁵ The mountains melt like wax at the presence of Yahweh, at the presence of the Lord of all the earth.

³ In every place, the eyes of Yahweh keep watch over the evil and the good.

⁹ "For as the heavens are _⌊higher_⌋* than the earth, so my ways are _⌊higher_⌋* than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

¹² And _⌊their whole body_⌋,* and their rims, and their spokes, and their wings, and the wheels were full of eyes all around—_⌊the wheels for the four of them_⌋.*

⁶ And before the throne was something like a sea of glass, like crystal, and in the midst of the throne and around the throne were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back.

⁸ And the four living creatures, _⌊each one_⌋* of them, had six wings apiece, full of eyes around and inside, and they do not have rest day and night, saying,
"Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God All-Powerful,* the one who was and the one who is and the one who is coming!"

²⁰ Bless Yahweh, you his angels, you mighty heroes who do his word by _⌊obeying_⌋* the sound of his word.

¹⁷ _⌊When they stood_⌋,* they stood, and at their rising, they rose with them, for the spirit of the living creatures was in them.

¹ _⌊I looked up again_⌋,* and I saw, and look!—four chariots coming out from between two mountains, and the mountains were mountains of bronze. ² With the first chariot there were red horses, and with the second chariot there were black horses. ³ And with the third chariot there were white horses, and with the fourth chariot there were strong* dappled horses. ⁴ And I answered and said to the angel that was talking to me, "What are these, my lord?" ⁵ And the angel answered and said to me, "These are the four winds* of the heavens going out after presenting themselves before the Lord of all the earth. ⁶ _⌊The one with_⌋* the black horses is going out to the north country, and the white horses go after them,* while the dappled ones go to the south country." ⁷ When the strong horses went out, they were anxious to go to patrol the earth. And he* said, "Go, patrol the earth." And they patrolled the earth. ⁸ And he cried out to me and said to me, "See those going out to the north country have set my spirit at rest in the north country."

³² and the spirits of prophets are subject to prophets.

¹⁹ And at the going of the living creatures, the wheels next to them also went, and _⌊when the creatures were lifted from the ground_⌋* the wheels also rose. ²⁰ _⌊Wherever_⌋* the spirit went they would go there, and the wheels rose, for the spirit of the living creatures* was in the wheels.

² For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death.

¹ And I looked, and look! On the expanse that was above the head of the cherubim something like a stone of sapphire,* and like the appearance of the shape of a throne it appeared above them.

³ And the one seated was similar in appearance to jasper and carnelian stone, and a rainbow was around the throne similar in appearance to emerald.

¹¹ that has the glory of God. Its radiance is like a precious stone, something like a jasper stone, shining like crystal.

¹⁸ Look, he does not trust in his servants and he charges his angels with error.

⁷ a God feared greatly in the council of the holy ones, and awesome above all surrounding him?

²⁴ And I heard the sound of their wings like the sound of many waters, like the voice of Shaddai,* and _⌊when they moved_⌋* there was a sound of tumult like the sound of an army; _⌊when they stood still_⌋* they lowered their wings.

¹⁰ Thus you also, when you have done all the _⌊things you were ordered to do_⌋,* say, 'We are unworthy slaves; we have done what we were obligated to do.'"

⁶ Now the Lord had caused the camp of the Arameans to hear the sound of chariots, the sound of horses, and the sound of a great army. So they said _⌊to one another_⌋,* "Look, the king of Israel has hired the kings of the Hittites and the kings of Egypt to come against us!"

² Listen carefully to his voice's thunder and the rumbling that goes out from his mouth.

⁴ After it, his voice roars; it thunders _⌊with his majestic voice_⌋,* and he does not restrain it when his voice is heard. ⁵ "God thunders with his voice in marvelous ways; he does great things, and we cannot comprehend.

¹³ And Yahweh thundered from the heavens, and the Most High uttered his voice with hail and coals of fire.

³ The voice of Yahweh is over the waters; the God of glory thunders. Yahweh is over many waters. ⁴ The voice of Yahweh is powerful. The voice of Yahweh is majestic. ⁵ The voice of Yahweh breaks the cedars. Yahweh shatters even the cedars of Lebanon. ⁶ And he makes them skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild ox. ⁷ The voice of Yahweh flashes* flames of fire. ⁸ The voice of Yahweh shakes the wilderness. Yahweh shakes the wilderness of Kadesh. ⁹ The voice of Yahweh causes deer* to give birth and strips the forests bare. And at his temple all in it say, "Glory!"

³³ to the one who rides in the highest heavens of old. See, he gives forth his voice, a mighty voice.

⁵ And the sound of the wings of the cherubim was heard _⌊as far as_⌋* the outer courtyard; it was like the voice of God Shaddai* _⌊when he speaks_⌋.*

² And, look! The glory of the God of Israel, it came from the way of the east, and its sound was like the sound of many waters* and the land radiated due to his glory!

⁶ And I heard something like the sound of a great crowd and something like the sound of many waters and something like the sound of powerful thunder, saying,
"Hallelujah! For the Lord God,* the All-Powerful, reigns!

²² Now* the likeness above the heads of the living creatures was an expanse like the outward appearance of _⌊awesome_⌋* _⌊ice_⌋* spread out above their heads _⌊upward_⌋.*

²⁴ And Jacob remained alone, and a man wrestled with him until the breaking of the dawn. ²⁵ And when he* saw that he could not prevail against him, he struck his hip socket, so that Jacob's hip socket was sprained as he wrestled with him. ²⁶ Then he* said, "Let me go, for dawn is breaking." But he answered, "I will not let you go unless you bless me." ²⁷ Then he said to him, "What is your name?" And he said, "Jacob." ²⁸ And he said, "Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel,* for you have struggled with God and with men and have prevailed." ²⁹ Then Jacob asked and said, "Please tell me your name." And he said, "Why do you ask this—for my name?" And he blessed him there. ³⁰ Then Jacob called the name of the place Peniel which means "I have seen God face to face and my life was spared."

¹³ And it happened, when Joshua was by Jericho, _⌊he looked up_⌋,* and he saw a man standing _⌊opposite him_⌋* with his sword drawn in his hand. And Joshua went to him and said, "Are you with us, or with our adversaries?"

⁶ Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. A scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom.

¹ In the year of the death of Uzziah the king, I saw the Lord sitting on a high and raised throne, and the hem of his robe was filling the temple.

⁶ For a child has been born for us; a son has been given to us. And the dominion will be on his shoulder, and his name is called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. ⁷ _⌊His dominion will grow continually, and to peace there will be no end_⌋* on* the throne of David and over* his kingdom, to establish it* and sustain it with justice and righteousness now and forever. The zeal of Yahweh of hosts will do this.

¹¹ "O afflicted one, driven away, who is not consoled. Look! I am about to set your stones in hard mortar, and I will lay your foundation with sapphires.

⁵ "Look, days are coming," _⌊declares_⌋* Yahweh, "when I will raise up for David a righteous branch, and he will reign as king, and he will achieve success, and he will do justice and righteousness in the land. ⁶ In his days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell _⌊in safety_⌋,* and this is his name by which he will be called: 'Yahweh is our righteousness.'

⁹ "_⌊I continued watching_⌋* until thrones were placed and an Ancient of Days sat; his clothing was like white snow and the hair of his head was like pure wool and his throne was a flame* of fire and its wheels* were burning fire. ¹⁰ A stream of fire issued forth and flowed _⌊from his presence_⌋;* thousands upon thousands served him and ten thousand upon ten thousand stood before him. The judge sat, and the books were opened.

¹⁴ And to him was given dominion and glory and kingship that* all the peoples, the nations, and languages would serve him; his dominion is a dominion _⌊without end_⌋* that will not cease, and his kingdom is one that will not be destroyed.

¹⁸ And _⌊he again touched_⌋* me, _⌊the one in the form of a human_⌋,* and he strengthened me.

¹³ And he will build the temple of Yahweh, and he will bear majesty and will sit and rule on his throne. And he shall be a priest on his throne, and the counsel of peace will be between the two of them." '*

¹³ Therefore be on the alert, because you do not know the day or the hour!

¹⁸ And Jesus approached and* spoke to them, saying, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

²¹ above all rule and authority and power and lordship and every name named, not only in this age but also in the coming one, ²² and he subjected all things under his feet* and gave him as head over all things to the church,

⁹ Therefore also God exalted him and graciously granted him the name above every name, ¹⁰ so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven and of those on earth and of those under the earth,

⁸ but concerning the Son,
"Your throne, O God, is _⌊forever and ever_⌋*, and the scepter of righteous is the scepter of your kingdom.

¹ Now this is the main point in what has been said: we have a high priest such as this, who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven,

² fixing our eyes on Jesus, the originator and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, disregarding the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

²² who is at the right hand of God, having gone into heaven, with angels and authorities and powers having been subjected to him.

¹³ and in the midst of the lampstands one like a son of man, dressed in a robe reaching to the feet and girded around his* chest with a golden belt,

²¹ The one who conquers, I will grant to him to sit down with me on my throne, as I also have conquered and have sat down with my Father on his throne.

² Immediately I was in the Spirit, and behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one was seated on the throne. ³ And the one seated was similar in appearance to jasper and carnelian stone, and a rainbow was around the throne similar in appearance to emerald.

¹³ And I heard every creature that is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and in the sea and everything in them saying,
"To the one who is seated on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power* _⌊forever and ever_⌋*."

¹⁴ And I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and on the cloud was seated one like a son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.

¹¹ And I saw a great white throne and the one who was seated on it, _⌊from whose presence_⌋* earth and heaven fled, and a place was not found for them.

²⁴ for Yahweh your God is a devouring fire, a jealous* God.

² Cloud and thick darkness are surrounding him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.

⁴ And I looked,* and look! A storm wind was coming from the north, a great cloud, and fire flashing back and forth, and brightness around and _⌊within it_⌋,* and from its midst* it was like the outward appearance of amber stone from the midst* of the fire.

⁸ with burning flame* giving punishment to those who do not know God and who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus,

¹⁴ and his head and hair were white like wool, white as snow, and his eyes were like a fiery flame, ¹⁵ and his feet were like fine bronze when it has been fired in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of many waters, ¹⁶ and he had in his right hand seven stars, and a sharp double-edged sword coming out of his mouth, and his face was like the sun shining in its strength.

¹³ My bow I have set in the clouds, and it shall be for a sign of the covenant between me and between the earth. ¹⁴ And when I make clouds appear over the earth the bow shall be seen in the clouds. ¹⁵ Then* I will remember my covenant that is between me and you, and between every living creature, with all flesh. And the waters of a flood will never again _⌊cause the destruction_⌋* of all flesh. ¹⁶ The bow shall be in the clouds, and I will see it, so as to remember the everlasting covenant between God and between every living creature, with all flesh that is upon the earth."

³ Then Abram fell upon his face and God spoke with him, saying,

⁷ and in the morning, you will see the glory of Yahweh, _⌊for he hears_⌋* your grumblings against Yahweh, and what are we that you grumble against us?"

¹⁰ And at the moment of Aaron's speaking to all the community of the _⌊Israelites_⌋,* they turned to the desert, _⌊and just then_⌋* the glory of Yahweh appeared in the cloud.

¹⁶ And the glory of Yahweh settled on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it for six days, and he called to Moses on the seventh day from the midst of the cloud.

¹⁸ And he said, "Please show me your glory." ¹⁹ And he said, "I myself will cause all my goodness to pass over before you, and I will proclaim the name of Yahweh before you, and I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will show compassion to whom I will show compassion." ²⁰ But he said, "You are not able to see my face, because a human will not see me and live." ²¹ And Yahweh said, "There is a place with me, and you will stand on the rock. ²² _⌊And_⌋* when my glory passes over, I will put you in the rock's crevice, and I will cover you with my hand until I pass over. ²³ And I will remove my hand, and you will see my back, but my face will not be visible."

²⁴ Then* a fire went out _⌊from before_⌋* Yahweh, and it consumed the burnt offering and the fat portions on the altar. And all the people saw it, so* they shouted for joy, and they fell on their faces.

⁶ and he said,
"Please hear my words: If there is a prophet among you, I, Yahweh, will make myself known to him in a vision. I will speak to him in a dream.* ⁷ Not so with my servant Moses; in all my house he is faithful. ⁸ I will speak to him mouth to mouth, in clearness, not in riddles; and he will look at the form of Yahweh.
Why were you not afraid to speak against my servant, against Moses?"

¹⁰ When the priests went out from the holy place, the cloud filled the house of Yahweh. ¹¹ The priests were not able to stand to minister _⌊because of the presence of_⌋* the cloud, for the glory of Yahweh filled the house of Yahweh.

⁸ I hid my face from you for a moment, in the flowing of anger, but* I will have compassion on you with everlasting faithfulness" says your redeemer, Yahweh. ⁹ "For this is like the waters of Noah to me, when I swore _⌊that the waters of Noah would never again pass_⌋* over the earth, so I swore _⌊that I would not be_⌋* angry at you and rebuke you. ¹⁰ For the mountains may depart, and the hills may sway, but* my faithfulness shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not sway," says Yahweh, who has compassion on you,

⁴ And look! There was the glory of the God of Israel like the vision that I saw in the valley.

¹⁹ And the cherubim lifted up their wings, and they rose from the earth before my eyes. At their going out, the wheels were* beside them. And he stood at the doorway of the eastern gate of the temple* of Yahweh, and the glory of the God of Israel _⌊was over them_⌋.* ²⁰ This was* the living creature that I saw under the God of Israel at the _⌊Kebar River_⌋,* and I knew that they were cherubim.

²² Then* the cherubim lifted up their wings, and their* wheels were beside them, and the glory of the God of Israel _⌊was over them_⌋.* ²³ And the glory of Yahweh went up from the midst of the city, and it stood still on the mountain that is to the east of the city.

³ And* the appearance of the vision which I saw was as* the vision which I saw at his* coming to destroy the city, and these visions were also as* the vision which I saw by the _⌊Kebar River_⌋,* and I fell on my face. ⁴ And then the glory of Yahweh came to the temple _⌊by the way of the gate facing east_⌋.* ⁵ And the Spirit lifted me and it brought me to the inner courtyard and, look! The glory of Yahweh filled the temple!

⁴ Then he brought me by the way of the gate of the north to the front of the temple,* and I looked,* and look! The glory of Yahweh filled the temple* of Yahweh, and I fell on my face.

¹⁷ And he came beside _⌊where I was standing_⌋,* and _⌊when he came_⌋* I became terrified and I fell prostrate on my face. And he said to me, "Understand, son of man,* that the vision is for the time of the end."

⁷ And I saw, I, Daniel _⌊alone_⌋,* the vision; and the people who were with me _⌊did not see_⌋* the vision; nevertheless, a great trembling fell upon them and they fled in order to hide themselves. ⁸ And I myself, Daniel, alone saw this great vision, and as a result _⌊no strength was left in me_⌋* and _⌊my complexion grew deathly pale_⌋,* and I did not retain any strength. ⁹ And I heard the sound of his words, and _⌊when I heard_⌋* the sound of his words I myself began falling into a trance on my face, _⌊with my face to the ground_⌋.*

¹⁶ Then look, there was _⌊one in the form of a human_⌋;* he touched my lips and I opened my mouth and I spoke and I said to the one standing _⌊before me_⌋,* "My lord, because of the vision my anxieties fell upon me and I have not retained my strength. ¹⁷ So _⌊how am I, a servant of my lord_⌋* to speak with _⌊you, my lord_⌋,* and I _⌊just now_⌋* _⌊have no strength in me_⌋?"*

⁵ While* he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and behold, a voice from the cloud said, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased. Listen to him!" ⁶ And when* the disciples heard this,* they fell down on their faces and were extremely frightened.

⁴ And falling to the ground, he heard a voice saying to him, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?"

¹² For now we see through a mirror _⌊indirectly_⌋*, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know completely, just as I have also been completely known.

¹⁷ And when I saw him, I fell at his feet like a dead person, and he placed his right hand on me, saying, "Do not be afraid! I am the first and the last, ¹⁸ and the one who lives, and I was dead, and behold, I am living _⌊forever and ever_⌋*, and I hold the keys of death and of Hades.
