¹⁸ For I tell you,* from now on I will not drink of the product of the vine until the kingdom of God comes."

¹³ But the vine said to them, 'Should I stop producing my wine that makes the gods and men happy, to go sway over the trees?'

¹⁵ and wine that makes glad the heart of man, so that their faces shine from oil, and bread that strengthens the heart of man.

⁶ Give strong drink to him who is perishing, and wine to those _⌊in bitter distress_⌋.* ⁷ He will drink and forget his poverty, and his misery he will not remember any more.

¹ I have come to my garden, my sister bride, I have gathered my myrrh with my spice, I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey, I have drunk my wine with my milk! Eat, O friends! _⌊Drink and become drunk with love_⌋!*

⁹ They do not drink wine with song; strong drink is bitter to those who drink it. ¹⁰ The city of emptiness is broken; every house is shut _⌊so that no one can enter_⌋;* ¹¹ there is an outcry over the wine in the streets. All joy turns into _⌊darkness_⌋;* the joy of the earth disappears.

⁶ And on this mountain Yahweh of hosts will make for all peoples a _⌊rich feast_⌋,* a feast of aged wines, fat filled with marrow, filtered aged wine.

¹ "Ho! Everyone thirsty, come to the waters! And whoever has no money, come, buy and eat, and come, buy without money, wine and milk without price!

⁴⁴ And _⌊in the day of those kings_⌋,* the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will _⌊never_⌋* be destroyed, and the kingdom will not be left for another nation,* and it will bring an end to all these kingdoms, but it will stand _⌊forever_⌋.*

¹⁵ Yahweh of hosts will defend them, and they will devour and subdue the slingstones;* they will drink, they will make noise* like wine, and they will be full like the sacrificial basin,* drenched like the corners of an altar.

¹⁷ For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! Grain will make the young men thrive, and new wine the young women.

¹⁸ And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overpower it!

²⁹ But I tell you, from now on I will never drink of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new with you in the kingdom of my Father."

¹ And he said to them, "Truly I say to you, that there are some of those standing here who will never experience death until they see the kingdom of God having come with power."

²³ And after* taking the cup and* giving thanks, he gave it* to them, and they all drank from it.

²⁵ Truly I say to you that I will never drink of the fruit of the vine any longer until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God."

²³ And they attempted to give* him wine mixed with myrrh, but he did not take it.

²⁷ But I tell you truly, there are some of those standing here who will never experience death until they see the kingdom of God."

³¹ So also you, when you see these things happening, know* that the kingdom of God is near.

¹⁶ For I tell you that I will not eat it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God."

³⁰ Therefore, because he* was a prophet and knew that God had sworn to him with an oath to seat _⌊one of his descendants_⌋* on his throne, ³¹ by* having foreseen this,* he spoke about the resurrection of the Christ,* that neither was he abandoned in Hades nor did his flesh experience decay. ³² This Jesus God raised up, of which* we all are witnesses. ³³ Therefore, having been exalted to the right hand of God and having received the promise of the Holy Spirit from the Father, he has poured out this that you see and hear.* ³⁴ For David did not ascend into heaven, but he himself says,
'The Lord said to my Lord, "Sit at my right hand, ³⁵ until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet." '* ³⁶ Therefore let all the house of Israel know beyond a doubt, that God has made him both Lord and Christ—this Jesus whom you crucified!"

¹⁸ And do not be drunk with wine (in which is dissipation), but be filled by the Spirit, ¹⁹ speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and singing praise in your heart to the Lord,

¹³ who has rescued us from the domain of darkness and transferred us* to the kingdom of the Son _⌊he loves_⌋*,
