⁴⁰ Now as* the sun was setting, all who had those who were sick with various diseases brought them to him, and placing his* hands on every one of them, he healed them.

²³ And he went around through all of Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and every sickness among the people. ²⁴ And a report about him went out _⌊throughout_⌋* Syria, and they brought to him all those _⌊who were sick_⌋* with various diseases and afflicted by torments, demon-possessed* and epileptics and paralytics, and he healed them.

¹⁶ Now when it* was evening, they brought to him many who were demon-possessed, and he expelled the spirits with a word. And he healed all _⌊those who were sick_⌋,* ¹⁷ in order that what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah would be fulfilled, who said,
"He himself took away our sicknesses, and carried away our diseases."*

⁵ the blind receive sight and the lame walk, lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, and the dead are raised, and the poor have good news announced to them.*

¹³ Now when* Jesus heard it,* he withdrew from there in a boat to an isolated place by himself. And when* the crowds heard it,* they followed him by land from the towns.

³² Now when it* was evening, when the sun had set, they began bringing* to him all those _⌊who were sick_⌋* and those who were demon-possessed. ³³ And the whole town was gathered together at the door. ³⁴ And he healed many _⌊who were sick_⌋* with various diseases and expelled many demons. And he did not permit the demons to speak, because they knew him.

¹⁰ For he had healed many, so that all those who _⌊were suffering from diseases_⌋* pressed about him in order that they could touch him.

²³ And he was imploring him many times, saying, "My little daughter _⌊is at the point of death_⌋!* Come, lay your* hands on her, so that she will get well and will live."

⁵ And he was not able to do any miracle in that place except to lay his* hands on a few sick people and* heal them.*

⁵⁵ They ran about through that whole region and began to carry around those _⌊who were sick_⌋* on stretchers, wherever they heard that he was. ⁵⁶ And wherever he would go, into villages or into towns or to farms, they would put those who were sick in the marketplaces and would implore him that if they could touch even the edge of his cloak. And all those who touched it were healed.

²¹ In that hour he healed many people of diseases and suffering and evil spirits, and he granted sight to many blind people. ²² And he answered and* said to them, "Go and* tell John what you have seen and heard: the blind receive sight, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear;* the dead are raised, the poor have good news announced to them.* ²³ And whoever is not offended by me is blessed."

¹⁵ so that they even carried out the sick into the streets and put them* on cots and mats* so that when* Peter came by, at least his* shadow would fall on some of them.

¹² so that even handkerchiefs or work aprons _⌊that had touched his skin_⌋* were carried away to those who were sick, and their* diseases left them and the evil spirits came out of them.*
