⁵ And when* Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, "Child, your sins are forgiven."

¹² And he said, "Do not stretch out your hand against the boy; do not do anything to him. For now I know that you are _⌊one who fears_⌋* God, since you have not withheld your son, your only child, from me."

¹⁷ to turn human beings aside from their deeds, and he keeps man from pride. ¹⁸ He spares his life from the pit and his life from passing over the river of death. ¹⁹ "And he is reproved with pain on his bed, even* with the strife of his bones continually, ²⁰ _⌊so that_⌋* his life loathes bread, and his inner self* loathes _⌊appetizing food_⌋.* ²¹ His flesh is wasted away from sight, and his bones, which are invisible, are bared. ²² And _⌊he_⌋* draws near to the pit and his life to the killers. ²³ "If there is a messenger beside him, a mediator, one of a thousand,* to declare to a human being his uprightness ²⁴ _⌊so that_⌋* he is gracious to him, and he says, 'Deliver him from descending into the pit; I have found a ransom.' ²⁵ His flesh is renewed with his youth; he returns to the days of his youthful strength. ²⁶ He prays to God, then he accepts him, and he sees his face with a shout of joy, and he repays to the human being his righteousness.

Happy is he whose transgression is taken away, whose sin is covered. ² Happy is a person to whom Yahweh does not impute iniquity and in whose spirit there is not deceit. ³ When I kept silent, my bones were worn out due to my groaning all the day. ⁴ For day and night your hand was heavy upon me. My vigor was changed into the dry heat of summer. Selah ⁵ I made known my sin to you, and my iniquity I did not cover. I said, "I will confess concerning my transgressions to Yahweh," and you took away the guilt of my sin. Selah

⁷ For we are brought to an end by your anger, and we hasten off* by your wrath. ⁸ You have put our iniquities before you, our hidden sins into the light of your countenance. ⁹ For all of our days dwindle away in your rage; we complete our years like a sigh.

³ who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases,

¹⁷ Look! Bitterness was bitter to me for peace. And you were the one who loved* my life from the pit of destruction, for you have cast all my sins behind your back.

¹¹ From the trouble of his life* he will see;* he will be satisfied. In his knowledge, the righteous one, my servant, shall declare many righteous,* and he is the one who will bear their iniquities.

² And behold, they brought to him a paralytic lying on a stretcher, and when* Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, "Have courage, child, your sins are forgiven."

²² But Jesus, turning around and seeing her, said, "Have courage, daughter! Your faith has healed you." And the woman was healed from that hour.

⁹ Which is easier to say to the paralytic, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say 'Get up and pick up your stretcher and walk'? ¹⁰ But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins,"—he said to the paralytic—

³⁴ But he said to her, "Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be well from your suffering."

²⁰ And when he* saw their faith, he said, "Friend, your sins are forgiven you."

⁴⁷ _⌊For this reason_⌋* I tell you, her sins—which were many—have been forgiven, for she loved much. But the one to whom little is forgiven loves little." ⁴⁸ And he said to her, "Your sins are forgiven." ⁴⁹ And those who were reclining at the table with him began to say among themselves, "Who is this who even forgives sins?" ⁵⁰ And he said to the woman, "Your faith has saved you. Go in peace."

⁴⁸ And he said to her, "Daughter, your faith has saved you. Go in peace."

²⁵ and because he did not _⌊need_⌋* anyone _⌊to testify_⌋* about man, for he himself knew what was in man.*

¹⁴ After these things Jesus found him at the temple and said to him, "Look, you have become well! Sin no longer, lest something worse happen to you."

³¹ This one God has exalted to his right hand as Leader and Savior to grant repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.

²³ who, when he* arrived and saw the grace of God, rejoiced and encouraged them all to remain true to the Lord with _⌊devoted hearts_⌋,*

⁹ This man listened while* Paul was speaking. _⌊Paul_⌋,* looking intently at him and seeing that he had faith to be healed,

³⁰ Because of this, many are weak and sick among you, and quite a few _⌊have died_⌋*.

¹⁰ Now to whomever you forgive anything, I also do; for indeed, whatever I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, it is _⌊for your sake_⌋* in the presence of Christ,

⁸ For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God;

¹³ putting up with one another and forgiving one another. If anyone should have a complaint against anyone, just as also the Lord forgave you, thus also you do the same.

³ because we* remember your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the presence of our God and Father, ⁴ knowing, brothers dearly loved by God, _⌊that he has chosen you_⌋*,

¹⁸ But someone will say, "You have faith and I have works."* Show me your faith apart from your* works, and I will show you my* faith by my works. ¹⁹ You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe, and shudder! ²⁰ But do you want to know, O foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless? ²¹ Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he* offered up his son Isaac on the altar? ²² You see that faith was working together with his works, and by the works the faith was perfected.

¹⁵ And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins _⌊he will be forgiven_⌋*.
