¹³ Now when* Jesus came to the region of Caesarea _⌊Philippi_⌋,* he began asking* his disciples, saying, "Who do people say that the Son of Man is?"

¹³ "_⌊I continued watching_⌋* in the visions of the night, and look, with the clouds of heaven one like a son of man* was coming, and he came to the Ancient of Days, and _⌊was presented_⌋* before him.

²⁰ And Jesus said to him, "Foxes have dens and birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head."

⁶ But in order that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins," then he said to the paralytic, "Get up, pick up your stretcher and go to your home."

⁸ For the Son of Man is lord of the Sabbath."

³² And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him. But whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him either in this age or in the coming one!

⁴⁰ For just as Jonah was in the belly of the huge fish three days and three nights, so the Son of Man will be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights.

³⁷ So he answered and* said, "The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man,

⁴¹ The Son of Man will send out his angels and they will gather out of his kingdom all the causes of sin and those who do lawless deeds,

²¹ And departing from there, Jesus went away to the region of Tyre and Sidon.

³¹ Now when the Son of Man comes in his glory and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne.

²⁷ And Jesus and his disciples went out to the villages of Caesarea Philippi, and on the way he asked his disciples, saying to them, "Who do people say that I am?" ²⁸ And they told him, saying, "John the Baptist, and others Elijah, and others that you are one of the prophets." ²⁹ And he asked them, "But who do you say that I am?" Peter answered and* said to him, "You are the Christ!"

³⁸ For whoever is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels."

⁴⁵ For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."

¹⁸ And it happened that while he was praying alone, the disciples were with him. And he asked them, saying, "Who do the crowds say that I am?" ¹⁹ And they answered and* said, "John the Baptist, but others, Elijah, and others, that one of the ancient prophets has risen." ²⁰ And he said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" And Peter answered and* said, "The Christ of God."

⁵¹ And he said to him, "Truly, truly I say to all of you, you will see heaven opened and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man."

¹⁴ And just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness,* thus it is necessary that the Son of Man be lifted up,

²⁷ And he has granted him authority to carry out judgment, because he is the Son of Man.

³⁴ Then the crowd replied to him, "We have heard from the law that the Christ remains _⌊forever_⌋!* And how do you say that the Son of Man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of Man?"

⁵⁶ And he said, "Behold, I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!"

³⁸ Jesus of Nazareth—how God anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, because God was with him.

¹⁴ Therefore, since the children share in blood and flesh, he also in like manner shared in these same things, in order that through death he could destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil, ¹⁵ and could set free these who through fear of death were subject to slavery throughout all their lives. ¹⁶ For surely he is not concerned with angels, but he is concerned with the descendants of Abraham. ¹⁷ Therefore he was obligated to be made like his brothers in all respects, in order that he could become a merciful and faithful high priest in the things relating to God, in order to make atonement for the sins of the people. ¹⁸ For in that which he himself suffered when he* was tempted, he is able to help those who are tempted.
