³ Your wife will be like a fruitful vine _⌊within_⌋* your house. Your children* will be like olive shoots about your table.

²² Joseph is the bough* of a fruitful vine, a fruitful bough* by a spring. His branches climb over the wall.

⁸ But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house* of God. I trust the loyal love of God forever and ever.

⁵ Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them.* They shall not be put to shame when they speak with enemies at the gate.

¹² that our sons may be like plants, full grown in their youth, our daughters like corner pillars, carved in the style of a palace,

¹⁵ Drink water from your own cistern and flowing waters from inside your own well. ¹⁶ Shall your springs be scattered outward? In the streets, shall there be streams of water? ¹⁷ May they be yours alone, and not for strangers who are with you. ¹⁸ May your fountain be blessed, and rejoice in the wife* of your youth.

¹⁶ Yahweh called your name, 'A leafy olive tree, _⌊beautiful with fine fruit_⌋.'* With the sound of a great storm he will set fire to it, and its branches will be good for nothing.

¹⁰ Your mother was like the vine in your vineyard;* planted _⌊fruitfully_⌋* beside water, and it was full of branches from many waters.*

⁶ His new plant shoots will spread out; his splendor will be like the olive tree, and his scent like the trees of Lebanon. ⁷ _⌊They will again dwell_⌋* in my* shadow; they will grow grain and they will blossom like the plant vine; his fame will be like the wine of Lebanon.

²⁴ For if you were cut off from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and contrary to nature were grafted into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these who are _⌊natural branches_⌋* be grafted into their own olive tree?
