³ When my spirit faints within me, you know my way. On the path where I walk, they have hidden a trap for me;

¹⁰ But he knows _⌊the way that I take_⌋;* he tests me—I shall come out like gold.

⁶ for Yahweh knows the way of the righteous,* but the way of the wicked will perish.

³ You have tried my heart; you have examined me by night; you have tested me; you found nothing. I have decided that my mouth will not transgress.

¹⁴ I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint. My heart is like wax; it is melted _⌊within me_⌋.*

⁴ Bring me out of the net that they have secretly set for me, for you are my refuge.

⁷ For without cause they secretly hide the pit with their net for me; without cause they dug it for my life. ⁸ Let _⌊unforeseen ruin_⌋* come on him, and his net that he hid, let it catch him. Let him fall into it in ruin.

⁶ They attack,* they hide, they watch my _⌊steps_⌋,* as they lie in wait for my life.

² From the end of the earth* I call to you when my heart grows faint. You will lead me to a rock that is higher than I.

³ I remember God and I groan loudly; I meditate and my spirit grows faint.

⁴ My heart is struck like grass and withers. Indeed, I forget to eat* my bread.

² You know my sitting down and my rising up. You understand my thought from afar. ³ You search out* my wandering and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. ⁴ For there is not a word yet on my tongue, but behold, O Yahweh, you know it completely.

⁵ The proud have hidden a trap for me, and cords. They have spread out a net along the _⌊side_⌋* of the path. They have set snares for me. Selah

⁹ Protect me from the _⌊grasp_⌋* of the trap they have laid for me, and from the snares of evildoers.

⁴ And so my spirit grows faint within me; my heart _⌊within_⌋* me is desolate.

²² Let a cry for help be heard from their houses when you suddenly bring upon them the raiding band, for they have dug a pit to catch me, and they have fixed secretly a trap for my feet.
