My mouth has been large over my enemies; for I have rejoiced in Your salvation. ² None is holy like Jehovah, for there is none except You; yea, there is no rock like our God. ³ Do not multiply your haughty words; let not arrogance go out from your mouth; for Jehovah is a God of knowledge, and by Him actions are weighed. ⁴ Bows of the mighty are broken; and they that stumble gird on strength. ⁵ They that were full have hired themselves out for bread; and the hungry have ceased, while the barren has borne seven; yea, she who had many sons has languished. ⁶ Jehovah kills, and keeps alive; He brings down and causes to go to Sheol. ⁷ Jehovah brings down, and He gives riches; He brings low; yea, He lifts up high. ⁸ He raised the poor from the dust; He lifts up the needy from the dunghill, to cause them to sit with nobles; yea, He caused them to inherit a throne of honor; for to Jehovah are the pillars of the earth; and He sets the habitable world on them. ⁹ He keeps the feet of His saints, and the wicked are silenced in darkness; for man does not become mighty by power. ¹⁰ They who strive with Jehovah will be smashed; He thunders in the heavens against him; Jehovah judges the ends of the earth, and gives strength to His king, and exalts the horn of His anointed. ¹¹ And Elkanah went to Ramah, to his house. And the child served Jehovah before Eli the priest. ¹² And the sons of Eli were sons of worthlessness; they did not know Jehovah. ¹³ And the custom of the priests with the people was : any man offering a sacrifice, (and the priest's servant came when the flesh was boiling, with the three-toothed hook in his hand), ¹⁴ even he stuck it into the pan, or kettle, or caldron, or pot; all that the hook brought up, the priest took for himself. So they did to all Israel who came in there to Shiloh. ¹⁵ Yea, before they made the fat to smoke, then the priest's servant came in. And he said to the man who was sacrificing, Give meat to roast for the priest; and he will not take boiled meat from you, but raw. ¹⁶ And if the man said to him, Let the fat be made to smoke as the day, and then take as much as your soul desires; then he would say, No, but you shall give now. And if not, I will take it by force. ¹⁷ And the sin of the young men was very great before Jehovah, for the men had despised the offering of Jehovah. ¹⁸ And Samuel was serving before Jehovah, a boy girded with an ephod of linen. ¹⁹ And his mother made a small coat for him, and she brought it up to him from year to year, as she came up with her husband to offer the sacrifice of the days. ²⁰ And Eli blessed Elkanah and his wife, and said, Jehovah shall give you seed of this woman, because of the petition she prayed to Jehovah. And they went away to their place. ²¹ So Jehovah visited Hannah, and she conceived and bore three sons and two daughters. And the boy Samuel grew up with Jehovah. ²² And Eli was very old, and had heard all that his sons did to Israel, and how they lay with the women who assembled by troops at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. ²³ And he said to them, Why do you do things like these? For I am hearing of your evil doings from all these people. ²⁴ No my sons, for the report which I am hearing is not good, causing the people of Jehovah to transgress. ²⁵ If a man sins against a man, then God shall judge him. But if a man sins against Jehovah, who shall pray for him? But they did not listen to the voice of their father, because Jehovah desired to execute them. ²⁶ And the boy Samuel went on, growing both in stature and in good looks, both with Jehovah and also with men. ²⁷ And a man of God came to Eli, and said to him, So says Jehovah: Did I reveal Myself plainly to the house of your father when they were in Egypt, at the house of Pharaoh, ²⁸ even to choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be priest to Me, to go up on My altar, to cause incense to smoke, to bear an ephod before Me? And did I give to your father's house all the fire offerings of the sons of Israel? ²⁹ Why do you kick at My sacrifice and at My offering which I commanded in My habitation? And why do you honor your sons above Me, to make yourselves fat with the best of all the offerings of My people? ³⁰ So says Jehovah the God of Israel, I said indeed that your house and your father's house should walk before Me until forever. But now Jehovah says, Be it far from Me! For those who honor Me, I will honor; and those despising Me will be despicable. ³¹ Behold, days come when I shall cut off your arm, and the arm of your father's house, that no old man shall be in your house. ³² And you shall see an adversary in My habitation, in all that he does good with Israel. And there shall not be an old man in your house all the days. ³³ And the man of yours that I shall not cut off from My altar shall be to cause your eyes to fail, and to grieve your soul. And all the increase of your house shall die young men. ³⁴ And this shall be the sign to you, that which shall come on your two sons, on Hophni and Phinehas: in one day the both of them shall die. ³⁵ And I shall raise up for Myself a faithful priest. He shall do all that is in My heart and in My soul. And I shall build for him a sure house; and he shall walk before My anointed all the days. ³⁶ And it shall be, everyone who is left in your house shall come in to bow to him for a wage of silver and a loaf of bread. And they shall say, please admit me into one of the priest's offices, to eat a bit of bread.

¹ Then Moses and the sons of Israel sang this song to Jehovah, and spoke, saying, I will sing to Jehovah, for He is highly exalted. He has thrown the horse and his rider into the sea.

²¹ And Miriam answered to them, Sing to Jehovah, for surely He has triumphed gloriously; He has thrown the horse and its rider into the sea.

¹ And Deborah and Barak, the son of Abinoam, sang on that day, saying: ² For the loosing of locks of hair in Israel; for the willing offering of the people, bless Jehovah!

¹⁷ And Mattaniah the son of Micha, the son of Zabdi, the son of Asaph, was the leader of the beginning, he gave thanks with prayer. And Bakbukiah the second from his brothers, and Abda the son of Shammua, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun.

¹⁴ So that I may declare all Your praises in the gates of the daughter of Zion; I will rejoice in Your salvation.

⁵ But I have trusted in Your mercy. My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.

² Jehovah is my rock, and my fortress and my deliverer; my God, my Rock; I seek refuge in Him; He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.

⁵ We will rejoice in your salvation, and in the name of our God set up banners; may Jehovah fulfill all your prayers.

⁹ And my soul shall be joyful in Jehovah; it will rejoice in His salvation.

¹⁵ O Lord, open my lips and my mouth shall declare Your praise.

⁸ My mouth is filled with Your praise, with your glory all the day long.

¹⁰ And I will cut off all the horns of the wicked; but the horns of the righteous shall be lifted up.

¹⁷ For You are the glory of their strength; and by Your favor You lift up our horn.

²⁴ But My faithfulness and My mercy is with him; and his horn shall be exalted in My name.

¹⁰ But You will lift up my horn as the wild ox, and I will be anointed with fresh oil.

⁸ His heart is upheld; he shall not be afraid though he looks on his foes. ⁹ He has scattered; he has given to the needy; his righteousness is standing forever; his horn shall be lifted up with honor.

¹⁴ Jehovah is my strength and my song; and He is my salvation.

² Behold, God is my salvation! I will trust and not be afraid, for my strength and song is Jah Jehovah; yea, He has become my salvation. ³ And you shall draw waters out of the wells of salvation with joy.

¹ A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet concerning erring ones:

¹⁸ yet I will exult in Jehovah; I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.

⁴⁶ And Mariam said, My soul magnifies the Lord, ⁴⁷ and my spirit exulted in God My Savior. ⁴⁸ For He looked upon the humiliation of His slave woman. For, behold, from now on all generations will count me blessed. 1 Sam. 1:11 ⁴⁹ For the Mighty One did great things to me, and holy is His name. ⁵⁰ And His mercy is to generations of generations to those fearing Him. Psa. 103:17 ⁵¹ He performed mightily with His arm; He scattered proud ones in the thought of their heart. ⁵² He put down powerful ones from thrones, and exalted lowly ones. ⁵³ He filled the hungry with good things, and He sent the rich away empty. ⁵⁴ He helped His servant Israel in order to remember mercy, ⁵⁵ even as He spoke to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed forever. ⁵⁶ And Mariam remained with her about three months, and returned to her house.

⁶⁹ And He raised up a Horn of salvation for us in the house of His servant David;

¹¹ and not only so, but also glorying in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we now received the reconciliation.

³ For we are the circumcision, the ones who worship by the Spirit of God, and who glory in Christ Jesus, and who do not trust in flesh.

⁴ Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I say, Rejoice!

⁶ Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and by petition with thanksgivings, let your requests be made known to God;

⁸ whom having not seen, you love; in whom not yet seeing, but believing, you exult with unspeakable and having been glorified,

²⁰ Rejoice over her, Heaven, and the holy apostles, and the prophets, because God judged your judgment on her.

¹¹ Who is like You among the gods, O Jehovah? Who is like You, glorified in holiness, fearful in praises, O Worker of wonders?

² Speak to all the congregation of the sons of Israel, and you shall say to them, You are holy, for I am holy, Jehovah your God.

²⁴ Lord Jehovah, You have begun to show Your servant Your greatness and Your mighty hand (for who is a God in the heavens or in the earth who can do according to Your works and according to Your might?)

³⁵ To you it was revealed, so that you might know that Jehovah is God, and no one else besides Him.

⁴ He is the Rock; His work is perfect. For all His ways are just, a God of faithfulness, and without evil; just and upright is He.

²⁰ And He said, I will hide My face from them; I will see what their end will be; for they are a perverse generation, sons in whom is no faithfulness.

³⁰ How could one chase a thousand, and two put a myriad to flight, if it were not their Rock that sold them, and Jehovah had shut them up? ³¹ For their rock is not our Rock, even our enemies being judges.

³⁹ See now that I, I am He, and there is no other God with Me. I kill, and I keep alive. I wound and I heal, and there is no deliverer from My hand.

³² For who is God except Jehovah? And who is a rock except our God?

³ Be a rock of strength for me, to which I may always go; You have given a command to save me; for You are my rock and my fortress.

¹⁹ And, Your righteousness, O God, is to the heights, You who have done great things. O God, who is like You?

²⁵ Whom have I in Heaven? And I have no desire on earth besides You.

⁸ None among the gods is like You, O Lord, and none are like Your works.

⁶ For who in the sky shall be ranked with Jehovah, who among the sons of the mighty is like Jehovah?

⁸ O Jehovah God of hosts, who is a strong Jehovah like You? And Your faithfulness is all around You.

⁵ Exalt Jehovah our God and worship at His footstool; He is holy.

⁹ Exalt Jehovah our God and worship at His holy hill; for Jehovah our God is holy.

⁹ He sent redemption to His people; He has commanded His covenant forever; holy and awesome is His name.

³ And one cried to the other and said, Holy, holy, holy is Jehovah of Hosts; all the earth is full of His glory!

¹⁸ And to whom will you liken God? Or what likeness will you array to Him?

¹⁰ You are My witnesses, says Jehovah; and My servant whom I have chosen; that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed; nor shall any be after Me. ¹¹ I, I am Jehovah; and there is no Savior besides Me.

⁶ So says Jehovah, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, Jehovah of Hosts: I am the First and I am the last; and there is no God except Me.

⁸ Do not dread, nor be afraid. Have I not declared and made you hear since then? So you are My witnesses: Is there a God besides Me? Yea, there is none. I have not known a Rock.

¹⁵ For so says the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, and His name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place, even with the contrite and humble of spirit; to make live the spirit of the humble and to make live the heart of the contrite ones.

⁶ There is none like You, O Jehovah; You are great, and Your name is great in might.

⁸ blessed the man to whom the Lord will in no way charge sin." LXX-Psa. 31:1, 2; MT-Psa. 32:1, 2

⁴ For whatever things were written before were written for our instruction, that through patience and encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

¹⁶ because it has been written, "Be holy," "because I am holy." Lev. 19:2

⁷ And Jehovah said to Samuel, Do not look on his appearance, nor to the height of his stature, for I have rejected him. For man does not see what He sees. For man looks for the eyes, but Jehovah looks for the heart.

³⁹ then You shall hear in Heaven Your dwellingplace and shall forgive and shall act, and shall give to each according to all his ways, whose heart You know (for You have known, You alone, the heart of all the sons of Adam),

⁶ let me be weighed in a just balance so that God may know my integrity.

²¹ shall not God search out this? For He knows the secrets of the heart.

⁴ They gush, they speak impudent things; all the workers of evil speak proudly.

⁷ Yet they say, The Lord shall not see, nor shall the God of Jacob observe. ⁸ Understand you beastly ones among the people; yea, you fools, when will you be wise? ⁹ He who planted the ear, shall He not hear? He who formed the eye, shall He not see? ¹⁰ He who chastises the nations, shall He not punish, He who teaches man knowledge?

⁵ Our Lord is great and of great might; there is no limit to His understanding.

¹³ The fear of Jehovah is to hate evil; I hate pride and loftiness, and the evil way, and the perverse mouth.

² All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, but Jehovah weighs the spirits.

¹² For you say, Behold, we did not know this. Does not He who weighs the heart consider it? And the Keeper of your soul, does He not know? Yea, He repays to a man according to his work.

⁷ The path for the just is uprightness. Upright One, level the track of the just.

²³ Whom have you mocked and reviled? And against whom have you lifted your voice, and lifted your eyes on high? Against the Holy One of Israel!

¹⁰ I, Jehovah, search the heart, I try the reins, even to give to each man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.

³⁰ The king spoke and said, is this not great Babylon that I have built for the house of the kingdom, by the might of my power, and for the honor of my majesty? ³¹ The word was still in the king's voice when a voice fell from the heaven, saying, O king Nebuchadnezzar, to you it is declared: The kingdom has been taken from you!

³⁷ Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and honor the King of Heaven, for all His works are truth, and His ways are justice. And He is able to humble those who walk in pride.

²⁷ A SHEKEL: You are weighed in the balances and found lacking.

¹³ Your words have been strong against Me, says Jehovah. Yet you say, What have we spoken against you?

¹² For the word of God is living, and powerfully working, and sharper than every two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of both soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge of the thoughts and intentions of the heart;

¹⁵ "to do judgment against all, and to rebuke all" the ungodly of them concerning all their ungodly works which :they ungodly" did, "and concerning all the hard things ungodly sinners spoke against Him." I Enoch 1:9; 5:4; 60:8 ¹⁶ These are murmurers, complainers, having gone according to their lusts, and their mouth speaks proud things, admiring faces for the sake of gain.

²³ And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches will know that I am the One searching the inner parts and hearts. And I will give to each of you according to your works.

¹⁵ Their sword shall enter into their heart, and their bows shall be broken.

¹⁷ For the arms of the wicked shall be broken; but Jehovah upholds the righteous.

⁹ causing to cease wars to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts apart spears; He burns the chariots in the fire.

³ There He broke the fiery arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah.

⁴ Surely, he will grovel under the prisoners, and they will fall under the slain. In all this His anger does not turn away, but His hand is still stretched out.

¹⁰ For though you had stricken the entire army of the Chaldeans who fight against you, and only wounded men remained among them, yet they would rise up, each man in his tent, and burn this city with fire.

⁹ being persecuted, but not having been forsaken; being thrown down, but not having been destroyed; ¹⁰ always bearing about the dying of the Lord Jesus in the body, that also the life of Jesus may be revealed in our body.

⁹ And He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness. Therefore, I will rather gladly boast in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may overshadow me.

¹⁴ Then stand firm, "having girded your loins about with truth" and having put "on the breastplate of righteousness," Isa. 11:5; 59:17

¹³ I can do all things through Christ, the One giving me power.

³⁴ quenched the power of fire, escaped the mouths of the sword, acquired power from weakness, became strong in war, made armies of foreigners to yield.

⁶ And even to vexation her rival provoked her, so as to make her tremble, because Jehovah had shut up her womb.

²⁰ And it happened when the time had come around, Hannah conceived and bore a son. And she called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of Jehovah.

¹⁰ The young lions have lacked and been hungry; but they who seek Jehovah shall not lack any good thing.

⁹ He causes the barren to live in the house as the joyful mother of sons. Praise Jehovah!

¹ Rejoice, unfruitful one who never bore; break out a song and shout, you who never travailed. For the sons of the desolate one are more than the sons of the married woman, says Jehovah.

⁹ She who bore seven now languishes; she has breathed out her life; her sun has gone down while it was still day. She has been ashamed and humiliated, and I will deliver the rest of them to the sword before their enemies, says Jehovah.

⁵³ He filled the hungry with good things, and He sent the rich away empty.

²⁵ But Abraham said, Child, remember that you fully received your good things in your lifetime, and Lazarus likewise the bad things. But now he is comforted, and you are suffering.

²⁷ for it has been written, "Be glad, barren one not bearing; break forth and shout, the one not travailing; for more are the children of the desolate rather than she having the husband." Isa. 54:1

³ And David again swore and said, Your father has certainly known that I have found favor in your eyes; and he said, Do not let Jonathan know this, that he not be grieved. And yet, as Jehovah lives, and your soul lives, there is only a step between me and death.

⁷ And it happened, when the king of Israel read the letter, he tore his garments and said, Am I God, to kill and to keep alive, that this one is sending to me to recover a man from his leprosy? For consider now, and see for he is coiling himself toward me.

¹⁸ For He wounds, and He binds up. He shatters, and His hands heal.

²⁰ Our God is the God of salvation; and to Jehovah the Lord are the issues of death.

³ The cords of death hemmed me in; and the pains of Sheol found me; I find distress and sorrow;

¹⁹ Your dead ones shall live, my dead body, they shall rise up. Awake and sing, dust dwellers; for the dew of lights is your dew; and the earth shall cast out departed spirits.

¹ Come and let us return to Jehovah. For He has torn, and He will heal us. He has stricken, and He will bind us up. ² After two days He will bring us to life. In the third day He will raise us up, and we shall live before Him.

² And he said, I cried out to Jehovah from my distress. And He answered me. Out of the belly of Sheol I cried for help, and You heard my voice. ³ For You cast me into the deep, into the heart of the seas, and the current surrounded me; all Your breakers and Your waves passed over me. ⁴ And I said, I am cast off from Your eyes; yet I will again look to Your holy temple. ⁵ Waters encompassed me, even to my soul; the depth closed around me; seaweed was clinging to my head. ⁶ I went down to the bases of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me forever. But You brought up my life from the pit, O Jehovah my God.

⁴⁰ And even as "Jonah was in the belly of the huge fish three days and three nights," so shall the Son of man be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights. Jon. 1:17

²⁵ Truly, truly, I say to you that an hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and the ones hearing will live. ²⁶ For even as the Father has life in Himself, so He gave also to the Son to have life in Himself. ²⁷ And He also gave authority to Him to execute judgment, for He is the Son of man. ²⁸ Do not marvel at this, for an hour is coming in which all those in the tombs will hear His voice. ²⁹ And they will come out, the ones having done good into a resurrection of life; and the ones having practiced evil into a resurrection of judgment.

²⁵ Jesus said to her, I am the Resurrection and the Life. The one believing into Me, though he die, he shall live.

⁹ But we ourselves have the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust on ourselves, but on God, the One raising the dead, ¹⁰ who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver; in whom we have hope that He will still deliver us,

¹⁸ and the Living One; and I became dead; and, behold, I am living forever and ever. Amen. And I have the keys to Hades, and of death.

¹⁷ that you not say in your heart, My power and the might of my hand have gotten me this wealth. ¹⁸ But you shall remember Jehovah your God, for it is He who gives to you power to get wealth; that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as this day.

²¹ And he said, I came naked out of my mother's womb, and naked I shall return there. Jehovah gave, and Jehovah has taken away. Blessed be the name of Jehovah.

¹¹ to set the lowly on high; yea, the mourners become very high in safety;

⁷ but God is the judge; He puts down this one and lifts up this other .

¹⁰ because of Your anger and Your wrath; for You have lifted me and cast me down.

¹² For the day of Jehovah of Hosts shall be on all the proud and lofty ones, and on all that is lifted up; and it will be abased;

⁹ But let the lowly brother rejoice in his lifting up; ¹⁰ and the rich one rejoice in his humiliation, because he will pass away like the flower of the grass.

¹⁰ Be humbled before the Lord, and He will exalt you.

¹⁴ And Pharaoh sent and called Joseph; and they rushed him from the dungeon. And he shaved and changed his clothing and came in to Pharaoh.

⁴⁰ You shall be over my house, and at your mouth all my people shall kiss the hand . Only in respect to the throne will I be greater than you.

¹⁷ And Samuel said, Were you not, even you, little in your own eyes before becoming leader of the tribes of Israel? And Jehovah anointed you as king over Israel.

⁸ And now, so you shall say to My servant, to David, So says Jehovah of hosts, I have taken you from the resting place, from following the flock, to be ruler over My people, over Israel.

⁸ And he took a broken piece of pottery with which to scrape himself. And he sat down among the ashes.

⁶ He will not keep the wicked alive, but He gives justice to the afflicted. ⁷ He does not withdraw His eyes from the righteous, but they are like kings on the throne; yea, He causes them to sit forever, and they are very high.

⁴ Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare if you know understanding. ⁵ Who has set its measurements, for you know? Or who has stretched a line on it? ⁶ On what were its bases sunk? Or who cast its cornerstone,

¹⁰ And when he prayed for his friends, Jehovah turned the captivity of Job; and Jehovah added to Job all which had been his, to double. ¹¹ And all his brothers and all his sisters came to him; and all knowing him before. And they ate bread with him in his house and consoled him and comforted him as to all the evil that Jehovah had brought on him. And they each gave him a piece of money, and each one ring of gold. ¹² And Jehovah blessed the latter days of Job more than the earlier days . And to him were fourteen thousand sheep and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she-asses.

² For He has founded it on the seas, and established it on the rivers.

²⁵ You have laid the foundation of the earth of old; and the heavens are the work of Your hands.

⁵ He founded the earth on its foundations; it shall not be shaken forever and ever.

⁷ He raises up the poor from the dust; He lifts the needy out of the dunghill; ⁸ in order to make him sit with nobles, with the nobles of his people.

¹⁴ For from the house of the imprisoned he goes forth to reign, although in his kingdom he was born poor.

⁴⁸ Then the king made Daniel great and gave many great gifts to him. And he made him ruler over all the province of Babylon, and chief of the prefects over all the wise men of Babylon.

¹⁷ This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the command by the word of the holy ones, so that the living may know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men and gives it to whomever He will. And He sets up over it the lowest of men.

³ Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him. And the king was planning to set him over all the kingdom.

⁵¹ He performed mightily with His arm; He scattered proud ones in the thought of their heart. ⁵² He put down powerful ones from thrones, and exalted lowly ones.

³ who being the shining splendor of His glory, and the express image of His essence, and upholding all things by the word of His power, having made purification of our sins through Himself, He sat down on the right of the Majesty on high, Psa. 110:1

⁵ Hear, my beloved brothers, did not God choose the poor of this world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to the ones loving Him?

⁶ and made us kings and priests to God, even His Father. To Him is the glory and the might forever and ever. Amen.

²¹ The one overcoming, I will give to him to sit with Me in My throne, as I also overcame and sat with My Father in His throne.

¹⁰ and made us kings and priests to our God; and we shall reign over the earth.

⁵ And night will not be there; and they have no need of a lamp or a light of the sun, because the Lord God will shed light on them. And they shall reign forever and ever.

³ Yes, He loves the peoples; all His holy ones are in Your hand; and they sit down at Your feet; He lifts up each at Your words.

⁴⁹ And David put his hand into the pouch and took a stone from there. And he slung it and struck the Philistine in his forehead. And the stone sank into his forehead, and he fell on his face to the earth. ⁵⁰ And David was stronger than the Philistine with the sling and with the stone. And he struck the Philistine and killed him. And there was no sword in David's hand.

¹⁶ And there is hope for the weak; and injustice shuts her mouth.

²⁴ And you shall know that your tent is in peace; and you shall visit your home and shall miss nothing.

¹⁶ The king is not saved by great force; a mighty man is not saved by great strength. ¹⁷ A horse is a vain thing for safety; nor does he save by his great strength.

²³ The steps of a man are ordered from Jehovah, and He will delight in his way. ²⁴ Though he falls, he is not cast down; for Jehovah upholds his hand.

²⁸ For Jehovah loves judgment and does not forsake His saints; they are preserved forever; but the wicked's seed shall be cut off.

¹¹ For He shall give His angels charge over You, to keep You in all Your ways. ¹² They shall bear You up in their hands, that You not dash Your foot on a stone.

¹⁸ If I said, My foot slides, O Jehovah, Your mercy has held me up.

¹⁰ You who love Jehovah, hate evil. He keeps the souls of His saints; He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.

³ He will not give your foot to slip; He who keeps you will not slumber.

⁵ Jehovah is your keeper; Jehovah is your shade on your right hand.

⁸ Jehovah shall keep your going out, and your coming in, from now on and till forever.

⁸ to guard the paths of judgment, and He protects the way of His saints.

²⁶ For Jehovah shall be at your side, and He shall keep your foot from being caught.

⁹ A man's heart plans his way, but Jehovah fixes his step.

¹⁷ Also all his days he eats in darkness, and with much grief, along with his sickness and wrath.

¹¹ I returned and saw under the sun that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the mighty; nor even bread to the wise; nor even riches to the men of discernment; nor even favor to knowing men. For time and occurrence happen to them all.

¹⁴ Why do we sit still? Gather yourselves, and let us enter into the fortified cities; and let us stand still there. For Jehovah our God has made us stand still there, and He has made us drink poisonous water, because we have sinned against Jehovah.

²³ So says Jehovah, Do not let the wise glory in his wisdom, and do not let the mighty glory in his might. Do not let the rich glory in his riches.

¹⁵ That day is a day of wrath, a day of adversity and distress, a day of waste and ruin, a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and thick darkness,

⁶ Then he answered and spoke to me, saying, This is the word of Jehovah to Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, says Jehovah of hosts.

¹² but the sons of the kingdom shall be cast out into the outer darkness. There shall be weeping and gnashing of the teeth.

¹² And he said to him, Friend, how did you come in here, not having a wedding garment? But he was speechless. ¹³ Then the king said to the servants, Binding his feet and hands, take him away and throw him out into the outer darkness. There shall be weeping and gnashing of the teeth.

¹⁹ But we know that whatever the Law says, it speaks to those within the Law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world be under judgment to God.

⁵ by the power of God, having been guarded through faith to a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time;

¹⁷ These are springs without water, clouds being driven by tempest, for whom the blackness of darkness is kept forever.

¹ Jude, a slave of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to the ones called in God the Father, having been set apart, and having been kept to Jesus Christ:

³ Having made all haste to write to you about the common salvation, beloved, I had need to write to you to exhort you to contend earnestly for the faith once delivered to the saints.

¹³ wild waves of the sea foaming up their shames, wandering stars for whom blackness of darkness has been kept forever.

⁶ Your right hand, O Jehovah, is glorious in power; O Jehovah, Your right dashes the enemy to pieces.

³¹ So all Your enemies shall perish, O Jehovah, and those who love Him shall be as the sun when it goes forth in its might. And the land had rest forty years.

¹⁰ And it happened as Samuel offered up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel. And Jehovah thundered with a great noise on that day, on the Philistines, and troubled them. And they were stricken before Israel.

³ Behold, I am here! Testify against me before Jehovah and before His anointed: Whose ox have I taken, and whose ass have I taken, and whom have I offended? Whom have I abused, and from whose hand have I taken a bribe that I might hide my eyes with it; and I will give back to you.

¹³ And now, behold the king whom you chose, whom you requested. And behold Jehovah gave a king over you.

¹⁸ And Samuel called to Jehovah. And Jehovah gave sounds and rain in that day. And all the people greatly feared Jehovah and Samuel.

²⁸ And Samuel said to him, Jehovah has torn the kingdom of Israel from you today, and has given it to your neighbor who is better than you.

¹ And Jehovah said to Samuel, Until when will you mourn for Saul, for I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? Fill your horn with oil and go. I will send you to Jesse the Bethlehemite, for I have seen a king for Me among his sons.

¹³ He shall build a house for My Name, and I shall establish the throne of his kingdom forever.

¹⁴ Jehovah thundered from the heavens, and the Most High gave forth His voice.

⁹ And have you an arm like God; or can you thunder with a voice like His?

² The kings of the earth set themselves; yea, the rulers have plotted together against Jehovah and His anointed, saying,

⁶ Yea, I have set My king on My holy mount on Zion.

⁹ You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.

¹³ Jehovah also thundered in the heavens; and the Highest uttered His voice, hailstones and coals of fire. ¹⁴ Yea, He sent out His arrows and scattered them; and He shot out lightnings and confounded them.

⁶ Now I know that Jehovah saves His anointed; He answers him from His holy Heaven with the saving strengths of His right hand.

¹ To the chief musician. A Psalm of David. The king rejoices in Your strength, O Jehovah; and how greatly does he rejoice in Your salvation.

⁷ For the king trusts in Jehovah, and in the mercy of the Most High; he will not be shaken. ⁸ Your hand shall find out all Your enemies; Your right hand shall find out Your haters. ⁹ You shall set them as a fiery furnace in the time of Your presence; Jehovah will swallow them up in His wrath, and the fire will devour them.

⁸ Jehovah is their strength, and He is the stronghold of the salvations of His anointed.

⁷ You love righteousness and hate wickedness; on account of this God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your fellows.

¹ A Psalm of Asaph God, Jehovah God has spoken, and calls to the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting. ² Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God has shone. ³ Our God comes, and He is not silent; a fire shall devour before Him; and it shall be very stormy around Him. ⁴ He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, to judge His people. ⁵ Gather My saints together to Me, those who cut My covenant by sacrifice. ⁶ And the heavens shall declare His righteousness, for God Himself is judge. Selah.

¹ To the chief musician. A Psalm of David. A Song. God rises up and His enemies are scattered; and those who hate Him flee from His face. ² As smoke is driven away, You drive them away; as wax melts before the fire, the wicked perish in God's presence.

⁹ For, lo, Your enemies, O Jehovah; for, lo, Your enemies shall perish; all the evildoers shall be scattered. ¹⁰ But You will lift up my horn as the wild ox, and I will be anointed with fresh oil.

¹³ before Jehovah; for He comes; for He comes to judge the earth; He shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with His faithfulness.

⁹ before Jehovah; for He comes to judge the earth; with righteousness He shall judge the world, and the peoples in uprightness.

¹⁴ He also lifts up the horn of His people, the praise of all His saints, of the sons of Israel, a people near to Him, Praise Jehovah.

⁹ Rejoice, O young man, in your youth. And make your heart glad in the days of your youth, and walk in the ways of your heart, and in the sight of your eyes; but know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment.

¹⁴ For God shall bring every work into judgment, with all that is hidden, whether it is good, or whether it is evil.

¹ Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment.

²⁴ He shall say, Only in Jehovah do I have righteousness and strength; to Him he comes; and they are ashamed, all who are angry with Him.

³¹ But when the Son of man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. ³² And before Him shall be gathered all the nations; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

³⁴ Then the King will say to those on His right, Come, the blessed of My Father. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

¹⁸ And coming up Jesus talked with them, saying, All authority in Heaven and on earth was given to Me.

²⁷ But these enemies of mine, those not desiring me to reign over them, bring them here and execute them before me.

²¹ For even as the Father raises the dead, and gives life, so also the Son gives life to whomever He wills. ²² For the Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son,

²⁷ For truly both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the nations and the peoples of Israel, were gathered together against Your holy child Jesus, whom You anointed,

³⁸ Jesus the One from Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good, and healing all those having been oppressed by the Devil, because God was with Him.

¹⁰ But why do you judge your brother? Or why also do you despise your brother? For all shall stand before the judgment seat of Christ. ¹¹ For it has been written, " As I live, says the Lord, that every knee will bow to Me, and every tongue confess to God." Isa. 49:18; 45:23 ¹² So then each one of us will give account concerning himself to God.

¹⁰ For we all must appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive the things done through the body, according to what he did, whether good or bad.

¹¹ And I saw a great white throne, and the One sitting on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled; and a place was not found for them. ¹² And I saw the dead, the small and the great, standing before God. And books were opened. And another Book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged out of the things written in the books, according to their works. ¹³ And the sea gave up the dead in it. And death and Hades gave up the dead in them. And they were each judged according to their works. ¹⁴ And death and Hades were thrown into the Lake of Fire. This is the second death. ¹⁵ And if anyone was not found having been written in the Book of Life, he was thrown into the Lake of Fire.

¹⁹ And they rose up early in the morning and worshiped before Jehovah. And they went back and came to their house in Ramah. And Elkanah knew his wife Hannah, and Jehovah remembered her.

²⁸ And I also have loaned him to Jehovah; all the days which he shall be, he is loaned to Jehovah. And he worshiped there before Jehovah.

¹⁸ And Samuel was serving before Jehovah, a boy girded with an ephod of linen.

¹ And the boy Samuel was serving Jehovah before Eli. And the word of Jehovah was rare in those days. There was no breaking-through vision.

¹⁵ And Samuel lay until the morning. And he opened the doors of the house of Jehovah. And Samuel was afraid to tell the vision to Eli.

¹³ Certain men, sons of Belial, have gone out from among you and have drawn away those who live in their city, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which you have not known;

¹⁰ And also all that generation was gathered to their fathers, and another generation arose after them who had not known Jehovah, nor yet the works which He had done for Israel.

²² They were making their hearts merry. And, behold, men of the city, sons of worthless men, went around the house, beating on the door. And they spoke to the old man, the house-master, saying, Bring out the man who has come into your house, and we shall know him.

⁷ And Samuel did not yet know Jehovah, and the word of Jehovah had not yet been revealed to him.

²⁷ But the sons of worthlessness said, How can this one deliver us? And they despised him and did not bring a gift to him. But he was as one keeping silent.

¹⁷ And now, know and consider what you should do; for evil has been determined against our lord, and on all his house. And he is a son of worthlessness, no one can speak to him.

¹⁰ And set two men, sons of worthlessness, across from him; and they shall testify of him, saying, You have cursed God and the king. And they shall bring him out and stone him; and he shall die.

¹³ And two men, sons of worthlessness, came in and sat across from him. And the men of worthlessness testified of him before the people, even Naboth, saying, Naboth has cursed God and the king. And they took him out to the outside of the city, and stoned him with stones. And he died.

⁸ The priests did not say, Where is Jehovah? And they who handle the law did not know Me. And the shepherds rebelled against Me; and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and went after things not profitable.

⁶ Your home is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know Me says Jehovah.

¹⁶ He judged the cause of the poor and needy, then it was well. Was this not to know Me, says Jehovah?

⁶ My people are cut off for lack of knowledge. Because you rejected the knowledge, I also rejected you from being priest to Me. Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I will forget your sons, even I. ⁷ As they were increased, so they sinned against Me. I will change their glory into shame. ⁸ They eat up the sin of My people, and they lift their vitality to their iniquity. ⁹ And it will be, Like people, like priest. And I will visit their ways on them and repay them for their deeds.

¹ And now, O priests, this command is to you. ² If you will not hear, and if you will not set it on your heart to give glory to My name, says Jehovah of hosts, then I will send the curse on you, and I will curse your blessings. And indeed, I have cursed it, because you are not setting it on your heart. ³ Behold, I am rebuking your seed, and I will spread dung on your faces, the dung of your solemn feasts; and one will lift you up to it. ⁴ And you shall know that I have sent this command to you, to be My covenant with Levi, says Jehovah of hosts. ⁵ My covenant with him was life and peace, and I gave them to him for fear; and he feared Me, and he is put in awe before My name. ⁶ The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips. In peace and in uprightness he walked with Me, and he turned many from iniquity. ⁷ For the lips of the priest should guard knowledge, and they should seek the law from his mouth; for he is the messenger of Jehovah of hosts. ⁸ But you have turned out of the way; you have caused many to stumble at the law. You have corrupted the covenant of Levi, says Jehovah of hosts. ⁹ So I have also made you despised and low to all the people, just as you have not kept My ways, but are lifting up faces in the law.

⁵⁵ And you have not known Him; but I know Him, And if I say that I do not know Him, I shall be like you, a liar. But I know Him, and I keep His Word.

³ And they will do these things to you because they do not know the Father nor Me.

³ And this is everlasting life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.

²¹ Because knowing God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful. But they became vain in their reasonings, and their undiscerning heart was darkened.

²⁸ And even as they did not think fit to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do the things not right, ²⁹ having been filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, iniquity, covetousness, malice, being full of envy, murder, quarrels, deceit, evil habits, becoming whisperers, ³⁰ slanderers, God-haters, insolent, proud, braggarts, devisers of evil things, disobedient to parents,

¹⁵ And what agreement does Christ have with Belial? Or what part does a believer have with an unbeliever?

²⁹ Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, He who brings near the sacrifice of his peace offerings to Jehovah shall bring his offering to Jehovah from the sacrifice of his peace offerings; ³⁰ his own hands shall bring in the fire offerings of Jehovah; the fat beside the breast he shall bring in with the breast, to wave it as a wave offering before Jehovah. ³¹ And the priest shall burn the fat on the altar as incense; and the breast shall be Aaron's and his sons. ³² And you shall make a heave offering of the right leg to the priest of the sacrifices of your peace offerings; ³³ one of the sons of Aaron who is bringing near the blood of the peace offerings, and the fat, the right leg is his for a portion. ³⁴ For the breast of the wave and the leg of the heave offering, I have taken from the sons of Israel, from the sacrifices of their peace offerings, and I have given them to Aaron the priest, and to his sons, by a never ending statute, from the sons of Israel.

²⁷ And you shall sanctify the breast of the wave offering, and the thigh of the heave offering, which is waved and which is lifted from the ram of consecration, from what is Aaron's, and from what is to his sons. ²⁸ And it shall be for Aaron and for his sons for a never ending statute from the sons of Israel; it is for a heave offering, and it shall be a heave offering from the sons of Israel from the sacrifices of their peace offerings, their heave offering to Jehovah.

³⁴ For the breast of the wave and the leg of the heave offering, I have taken from the sons of Israel, from the sacrifices of their peace offerings, and I have given them to Aaron the priest, and to his sons, by a never ending statute, from the sons of Israel.

²⁹ Why do you kick at My sacrifice and at My offering which I commanded in My habitation? And why do you honor your sons above Me, to make yourselves fat with the best of all the offerings of My people?

¹¹ yea, dogs greedy of soul; they do not know satisfaction. And they are shepherds; they know not discernment; they all look to their own way, each one for his own gain, from his own end, saying:

¹⁰ Who is even among you that will shut the doors, and you not kindle fire on My altar in vain? There is no delight to Me in you, says Jehovah of hosts. I will not be pleased with a food offering from you.

¹³ being about to receive the wages of unrighteousness, having deemed indulgence in the day to be pleasure; spots and blemishes reveling in their deceits, feasting along with you, ¹⁴ having eyes full of an adulteress, and never ceasing from sin; alluring unsettled souls; having a heart busied with covetousness; cursed children; ¹⁵ forsaking a straight path, they went astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness,

³ And he shall bring near from the sacrifice of the peace offering a fire offering to Jehovah, the fat which covers the inward parts, and all the fat on the inward parts, ⁴ and the two kidneys, and the fat on them, on the loins, and the fatty fold by the liver beside the kidneys; he shall remove. ⁵ And the sons of Aaron shall burn it as incense on the altar, on the burnt offering on the wood on the fire, a fire offering of a soothing fragrance to Jehovah.

¹⁶ And the priest shall burn them as incense on the altar, bread of the fire offering for a soothing fragrance; all the fat is Jehovah's.

¹⁸ For such ones do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth speaking and flattering they deceive the hearts of those without guile.

¹⁹ whose end is destruction, whose god is the belly, and who glory in their shame, those who mind earthly things.

¹² These are sunken rocks in your love feasts, feasting together with you, feeding themselves without fear, waterless clouds being carried about by winds, fruitless autumn trees, having died twice, having been plucked up by the roots;

²³ Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, You shall not eat any fat of ox, or of sheep, or of goat. ²⁴ And the fat of a dead body, and the fat of a thing torn may be used for any work, but you certainly shall not eat it; ²⁵ for whoever eats the fat of the animal, of which one brings near a fire offering to Jehovah, even the person who eats shall be cut off from his people.

²⁵ And the sons of Dan said to him, Do not let your voice be heard among us, that men bitter in soul not fall on you, and you lose your life, and the lives of your household.

¹⁵ The former governors that had been before me were too heavy on the people, and had taken bread and wine from them, besides forty shekels of silver. Yes, even their servants bore rule over the people. But I did not do this, because of the fear of God.

¹ Woe to those plotting wickedness and preparing evil on their beds! In the light of the morning they practice it, because it is in the power of their hand. ² And they covet and seize fields and houses, and carry them away. And they oppress a man and his household, even a man and his inheritance.

⁵ So says Jehovah concerning the prophets who make My people err, who bite with their teeth and call out, Peace! And whoever does not give for their mouth, they even sanctify a war against him.

² Shepherd the flock of God among you, exercising oversight, not by compulsion, but willingly; nor eagerly for base gain, but readily; ³ nor as exercising lordship over the ones allotted to you, but becoming examples of the flock.

¹¹ And the earth was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.

⁹ He was a mighty hunter before Jehovah; so it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before Jehovah.

¹³ And the men of Sodom were evil and sinners before Jehovah, exceedingly so.

⁶ And he made his son to pass through the fire, used magic, and used divination, and dealt with mediums and soothsayers. He expanded to work the evil in the eyes of Jehovah, to provoke Him to anger.

⁴ Against You, You only, I have sinned, and done evil in Your eyes; that You might be justified in Your speaking and be clear when You judge.

⁸ For Jerusalem has stumbled, and Judah has fallen; because their tongue and their deeds toward Jehovah are to rebel against the eyes of His glory.

¹³ And this is a second thing you have done: covering the altar of Jehovah with tears, with weeping and groaning; yet not facing toward the food offering, and taking it with delight from your hand.

⁷ Woe to the world from its offenses! It is a necessity for the offenses to come, yet woe to that man through whom the offense comes!

⁴ And these are the garments which they shall make: a breast pocket, and an ephod, and a robe, and a tunic of woven stuff, a miter, and a girdle. And they shall make holy garments for your brother Aaron and for his sons, even for him to serve as priest to Me.

⁷ and put on him the tunic, and girded him with the girdle, and clothed him with the upper robe, and put the ephod on him, and girded him with the ephod on him, and girded him with the girdle of the ephod, and bound it to him with it;

¹¹ And Elkanah went to Ramah, to his house. And the child served Jehovah before Eli the priest.

²⁸ even to choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be priest to Me, to go up on My altar, to cause incense to smoke, to bear an ephod before Me? And did I give to your father's house all the fire offerings of the sons of Israel?

¹⁸ And the king said to Doeg, You turn and fall on the priests. And Doeg the Edomite turned and fell on the priests and killed eighty five men bearing a linen ephod in that day.

¹⁴ And David was dancing with all his might before Jehovah. And David was girded with a linen ephod.

²⁷ And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites that carried the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah, the master of the song with the singers. David also had an ephod of linen on him.

¹⁴ Three times in the year you shall make a feast to Me.

³ And that man went up from his city from year to year to worship and to sacrifice before Jehovah of hosts in Shiloh. And the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were priests to Jehovah there.

²¹ And the man Elkanah and all his house went up to sacrifice to Jehovah a sacrifice of the days, and to vow his vow.

¹⁹ And he blessed him and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of Heaven and earth;

²⁷ And he came near and kissed him. And he smelled the smell of his clothes. And he blessed him, and said, See, the smell of my son is as the smell of a field which Jehovah has blessed. ²⁸ And may God give you of the dew of the heavens, and of the fatness of the earth, and much grain and wine. ²⁹ May the nations serve you and peoples bow to you; be a ruler to your brothers, and may your mother's sons bow to you, and cursed be those who curse you, and blessed be those who bless you.

²³ Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying, In this way you shall bless the sons of Israel, saying to them: ²⁴ Jehovah bless you and keep you; ²⁵ Jehovah cause His face to shine on you, and be gracious to you; ²⁶ Jehovah lift up His face to you, and give you peace. ²⁷ So they shall put My name on the sons of Israel, and I Myself will bless them.

¹² Jehovah shall repay your work, and your reward shall be complete from Jehovah the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.

¹¹ And all the people who were in the gate and the elders, said, We are witnesses. May Jehovah make the woman who is coming into your house to be as Rachel and as Leah, both of whom built the house of Israel. And may you do worthily in Ephratah, and proclaim the name in Bethlehem.

¹¹ And she vowed a vow, and said, O Jehovah of hosts, if You will certainly look upon the affliction of Your handmaid, and shall remember me, and not forget Your handmaid, and shall give to Your maidservant a man-child, then I will give him to Jehovah all the days of his life; and a razor shall not go up on his head.

²⁷ I prayed for this boy, and Jehovah has given my petition which I asked of Him to me. ²⁸ And I also have loaned him to Jehovah; all the days which he shall be, he is loaned to Jehovah. And he worshiped there before Jehovah.

³⁴ And Simeon blessed them and said to His mother Mariam, Behold, this One is set for the fall and rising up of many in Israel, and for a sign spoken against;

¹ And Jehovah visited Sarah as He had said. And the Lord did to Sarah as He had spoken.

²⁴ And the woman bore a son, and called his name Samson. And the youth grew, and Jehovah blessed him.

¹⁹ And they rose up early in the morning and worshiped before Jehovah. And they went back and came to their house in Ramah. And Elkanah knew his wife Hannah, and Jehovah remembered her. ²⁰ And it happened when the time had come around, Hannah conceived and bore a son. And she called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of Jehovah.

²⁶ And the boy Samuel went on, growing both in stature and in good looks, both with Jehovah and also with men.

¹⁹ And Samuel grew up, and Jehovah was with him, and did not let any of his words fall to the earth.

⁶⁸ Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, because He visited and worked redemption for His people.

⁸⁰ And the child grew, and became strong in spirit. And he was in the deserts until the day of his showing to Israel.

⁴⁰ And the Child grew, and became strong in spirit, being filled with wisdom. And the grace of God was upon Him.

⁵² And Jesus progressed in wisdom and stature and favor before God and men. see 1 Sam. 2:26

⁸ And he made the laver bronze, and its base bronze, from the mirrors of the serving women, those assembling, who served at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

¹³ And the custom of the priests with the people was : any man offering a sacrifice, (and the priest's servant came when the flesh was boiling, with the three-toothed hook in his hand), ¹⁴ even he stuck it into the pan, or kettle, or caldron, or pot; all that the hook brought up, the priest took for himself. So they did to all Israel who came in there to Shiloh. ¹⁵ Yea, before they made the fat to smoke, then the priest's servant came in. And he said to the man who was sacrificing, Give meat to roast for the priest; and he will not take boiled meat from you, but raw. ¹⁶ And if the man said to him, Let the fat be made to smoke as the day, and then take as much as your soul desires; then he would say, No, but you shall give now. And if not, I will take it by force. ¹⁷ And the sin of the young men was very great before Jehovah, for the men had despised the offering of Jehovah.

¹ And it happened when Samuel was old, he made his sons judges over Israel.

⁹ Will you steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense to Baal, and walk after other gods whom you do not know? ¹⁰ And will you then come and stand before Me in this house on which My name is called, and say, We are delivered in order to do all those detestable things.

²⁶ Her priests have violated My law and have profaned My holy things. They have not divided between the holy and the common, and between the unclean and clean they have not taught. And they have hidden their eyes from the sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.

⁹ And it will be, Like people, like priest. And I will visit their ways on them and repay them for their deeds. ¹⁰ For they shall eat and not have enough. They shall fornicate and not increase, because they have ceased heeding Jehovah. ¹¹ Fornication and wine, and new wine, take away the heart.

⁶ And his father had not troubled him all his days, saying, Why have you done so? And he also was very good of form, and one had borne him after Absalom.

⁹ The look of their faces witnesses against them; they have declared their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it . Woe to their soul! For they have dealt evil to themselves.

³ And the showers are withheld, and there has been no latter rain. And the forehead of a woman, a harlot was to you; you refused to be ashamed.

¹² Were they ashamed when they had done hateful things? They were not even at all ashamed, nor did they know how to blush. So they shall fall among those who fall. In the time of their punishment they will stumble, says Jehovah.

⁴ And falling on the earth he heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul! Why do you persecute Me?

¹⁵ and saying, Men, why do you do these things? We also are men of like feelings to you, announcing the gospel to you to turn you from these vanities to the living God, who "made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and all things in them," Ex. 20:11

²¹ And Moses said to Aaron, What has this people done to you that you have made to come on them a great sin?

¹⁷ And the sin of the young men was very great before Jehovah, for the men had despised the offering of Jehovah.

²² And Eli was very old, and had heard all that his sons did to Israel, and how they lay with the women who assembled by troops at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

¹⁸ And he said to him, I also am a prophet like yourself, and an angel spoke to me by the word of Jehovah, saying, Bring him back with you into your house, and he shall eat bread and water (he lied to him). ¹⁹ And he turned back with him and ate bread in his house and drank water. ²⁰ And it happened as they were sitting at the table, and a word of Jehovah came to the prophet who brought him back; ²¹ and he cried to the man of God who came from Judah, saying, So says Jehovah, Because you have resisted the mouth of Jehovah, and have not kept the command that Jehovah your God charged you,

³⁰ because of the sins of Jeroboam which he sinned, and that he caused Israel to sin by his provocation with which he provoked Jehovah the God of Israel to anger.

³¹ And Jehu did not take heed to walk in the law of Jehovah, the God of Israel, with all his heart. He did not turn from the sins of Jeroboam, who caused Israel to sin.

⁸ But you have turned out of the way; you have caused many to stumble at the law. You have corrupted the covenant of Levi, says Jehovah of hosts.

³ Then brothers, be looking for men among you receiving testimony, seven men full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we shall appoint over this need.

⁸ through glory and dishonor, through evil report and good report; as deceivers, and yet true;

⁷ But he must also have a good witness from those outside, that he not fall into reproach and into a snare of the Devil.

¹⁸ For speaking great swelling words of vanity, by the lusts of the flesh, by unbridled lusts, they allure those indeed escaping the ones living in error,

¹² Witness has been borne to Demetrius by all, and by the truth itself. And we also bear witness, and you know that our witness is true.

²⁰ But I have a few things against you, that you allow the woman Jezebel to teach, she saying herself to be a prophetess, and to cause My slaves to go astray, and to commit fornication, and to eat idol sacrifices.

³⁰ And the soul that does anything with a high hand, whether of a homeborn or of the alien, the same blasphemes Jehovah. And that person shall be cut off from the midst of his people.

¹⁷ You shall not respect persons in judgment; you shall hear the small as well as the great; you shall not be afraid because of the face of a man, for the judgment is God's; and the thing too hard for you, you shall bring near to me, and I shall hear it.

³⁰ And Sihon the king of Heshbon was not willing to let us pass by him, for Jehovah your God had hardened his spirit, and had emboldened his heart, so as to give him into your hand, as it is this day.

⁸ If a matter is too hard for you in judgment, between blood and blood, between cause and cause, or between stroke and stroke, matters of strife within your gates, then you shall rise and go up to the place which Jehovah your God shall choose. ⁹ And you shall come in to the priest, of the Levites, and to the judge who is in those days, and shall inquire. And they shall declare the sentence of judgment to you. ¹⁰ And you shall do according to the word which they declare to you from that place which Jehovah shall choose. And you shall be careful to do according to all that they direct you. ¹¹ You shall do according to the mouth of the law which they direct you, and according to the judgment which they deliver to you. You shall not turn aside from the word which they declare to you, right or left. ¹² And the man who acts with pride so as not to listen to the priest who is standing to serve Jehovah your God there, or to the judge, even that man shall die; and you shall put away evil from Israel.

¹ If there is a contention between men, and they come to judgment, and they have been judged, and the righteous one is declared righteous, and the wrong doer declared guilty; ² then it shall be, if the wrongdoer is a son of stripes, the judge shall cause him to fall down. And one shall strike him before his face, enough for his wickedness, by number. ³ He may give him forty stripes; he shall not add more, lest, if he should exceed and beat him above with many stripes, then your brother would be dishonored before your eyes.

²⁰ For it was of Jehovah to harden their hearts, so that they should come against Israel in battle, so that they might be destroyed, so that they might have no favor, but that He might destroy them, as Jehovah commanded Moses.

¹⁴ And so I have sworn to the house of Eli, the iniquity of the house of Eli shall not be atoned for, by sacrifice or by offering, until forever.

¹⁶ And it happened, as he spoke with him, that he said to him, Have we appointed you a counselor to the king? Stop! Why should they strike you? And the prophet stopped, and said, I know that God has counseled to destroy you because you have done this, and have not listened to my counsel.

¹⁶ For you do not desire sacrifice, or I would give it; You do not delight in burnt offering.

¹⁰ Discipline is grievous to him who forsakes the way, he who hates reproof shall die.

³⁹ Because of this they could not believe, because Isaiah said again, ⁴⁰ "He has blinded their eyes" and "has hardened their heart," "that they might not see with the eyes" and "understand with the heart," "and be converted," "and I should heal them." Isa. 6:10

⁵ For God is one, also there is one Mediator of God and of men, the Man Christ Jesus,

²⁵ From this also He is able to save to perfection those who come to God through Him, ever living to intercede on their behalf.

²⁶ For if we are willfully sinning after receiving the full knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice concerning sins,

²¹ So Jehovah visited Hannah, and she conceived and bore three sons and two daughters. And the boy Samuel grew up with Jehovah.

³ Mercy and truth will not forsake you; tie them on your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart;

⁴⁷ praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church those being saved from day to day.

¹⁸ For the one serving Christ in these things is pleasing to God, and approved by men.

¹⁴ And the anger of Jehovah glowed against Moses. And He said, Do I not know your brother, Aaron the Levite, that he can speak well? And, behold, he also is coming out to meet you, and he will see you and be glad in his heart. ¹⁵ And you shall speak to him, and you shall put the words in his mouth. And I will be with your mouth, and with his mouth, and I will teach you what you shall do. ¹⁶ And he shall speak for you to the people. And it shall be, he shall be a mouth for you, and you shall be a god for him.

²⁷ And Jehovah said to Aaron, Go to the wilderness to meet Moses. And he went and met him in the mountain of God; and he kissed him.

¹ And Jehovah said to Moses and to Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying,

⁴³ And Jehovah said to Moses and Aaron, This is the ordinance of the Passover. No stranger may eat of it.

¹ And this is the blessing with which Moses the man of God blessed the sons of Israel before his death.

⁸ Jehovah sent a man, a prophet, to the sons of Israel. And he said to them, So says Jehovah the God of Israel, I have brought you up out of Egypt; and I have brought you out from a house of slaves.

⁶ And the woman came and spoke to her husband, saying, A Man of God has come to me, and His appearance was like the appearance of the Angel of God, very terrifying. And I did not ask Him where He was from, and He did not tell me His name.

⁴ And he passed through the hills of Ephraim, and passed through the land of Shalisha. And they did not find them . And they passed through the land of Shaalim, and they were not there . And he passed through the land of Benjamin, and they did not find them .

¹ And, behold, a man of God had come from Judah to Bethel, by the word of Jehovah, and Jeroboam was standing by the altar to burn incense.

¹¹ But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and meekness.

²¹ for prophecy was not at any time borne by the will of man, but having been borne along by the Holy Spirit, holy men of God spoke.

¹ And you shall take to yourself your brother Aaron, and his sons with him, from among the sons of Israel, for him to serve as priest to Me; Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar, the sons of Aaron.

⁶ And they shall make the ephod of gold, blue, and purple, crimson and bleached, twined linen, skilled work. ⁷ It shall have two shoulder pieces at its two ends; and it shall be joined together. ⁸ And the band of the ephod which is on it, like its work, shall be of it, gold, blue, and purple, and crimson, and bleached, twined linen . ⁹ And you shall take two onyx stones; and you shall engrave on them the names of the sons of Israel. ¹⁰ Six of their names shall be on the one stone, and six of the remaining names on the second stone, according to their birth. ¹¹ You shall engrave the two stones, the work of an stone engraver, the engravings of a signet, according to the names of the sons of Israel; you shall make them set in plaited work of gold. ¹² And you shall put the two stones on the shoulderpieces of the ephod, stones of remembrance for the sons of Israel. And Aaron shall bear their names before the face of Jehovah, on his two shoulders for a remembrance. ¹³ And you shall make plaited work of gold: ¹⁴ and two chains of pure gold, you shall make them woven work, a work of cord; and you shall put chains of the cords on the plaited work. ¹⁵ And you shall make a breast pocket of judgment, skilled work, like the work of the ephod you shall make it: gold, blue, and purple, and crimson, and bleached, twined linen you shall make it. ¹⁶ It shall be square, being doubled, its length a span and its width a span. ¹⁷ And you shall fill in it settings of stones, four rows of stones: a row of sardius, topaz, and carbuncle shall be the first row. ¹⁸ And the second row: turquoise, sapphire and diamond. ¹⁹ And the third row: opal, agate and amethyst. ²⁰ And the fourth row: chrysolite, onyx and jasper. They shall be plaited with gold in their settings. ²¹ And the stones shall be according to the names of the sons of Israel, twelve according to their names, the engraving of a signet; they shall be each according to his name for the twelve tribes. ²² And you shall make chains of woven work on the breast pocket, a work of cords, in pure gold. ²³ And you shall make two rings of gold on the breast pocket. And you shall put the two rings on the two ends of the breast pocket. ²⁴ And you shall put the two cords of gold on the two rings, at the end of the breast pocket. ²⁵ And you shall put the two ends of the two cords on the two plaitings. And you shall put them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod, to the front of it. ²⁶ And you shall make two rings of gold, and you shall put them on the two ends of the breast pocket, on its edge, inward across from the ephod. ²⁷ And you shall make two rings of gold, and you shall put them on the two shoulderpieces of the ephod, from beneath, at its front. near its joining, above the band of the ephod. ²⁸ And they shall fasten the breast pocket from its rings to the rings of the ephod with a blue ribbon, to be above the band; and the breast pocket may not move itself from the ephod. ²⁹ And Aaron shall bear the names of the sons of Israel on the breast pocket of judgment on his heart, in his going into the holy place, for a memorial before the face of Jehovah continually. ³⁰ And you shall put the Urim and the Thummim into the breast pocket of judgment; and they shall be on the heart of Aaron in his going before the face of Jehovah. And Aaron shall bear the judgment of the sons of Israel on his heart before the face of Jehovah continually.

⁴ And you shall take Aaron and his sons to the door of the tabernacle of congregation. And you shall wash them in water. ⁵ And you shall take the garments, and you shall clothe Aaron with the tunic, and the robe of the ephod, and the ephod, and the breast pocket. And you shall bind it to him with the band of the ephod. ⁶ And you shall put the miter on his head; and you shall put the holy crown on the miter. ⁷ And you shall take the oil of anointing and shall pour on his head, and shall anoint him. ⁸ And you shall take his sons and clothe them with tunics. ⁹ And you shall gird them with girdles, Aaron and his sons; and you shall bind on bonnets for them; and it shall be a never ending statute for them in the priest's office. And you shall consecrate Aaron and his sons. ¹⁰ And you shall bring near the bullock before the tabernacle of the congregation. And Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on he head of the bullock. ¹¹ And you shall slaughter the bullock before the face of Jehovah, at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. ¹² And you shall take of the bullock's blood and shall put it on the horns of the altar with your finger. And you shall pour out all the blood at the base of the altar. ¹³ And you shall take all the fat that covers the inward parts, and the lobe on the liver, and the two kidneys, and the fat on them, and you shall burn on the altar. ¹⁴ And you shall burn the flesh of the bullock, and its skin, and its dung, with fire outside the camp; it is a sin offering. ¹⁵ And you shall take one ram, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the ram. ¹⁶ And you shall slaughter the ram, and you shall take its blood and shall sprinkle it on the altar all around. ¹⁷ And you shall cut the ram into pieces; and you shall wash its inward parts, and its legs, and shall place them on its pieces and on its head. ¹⁸ And you shall burn all the ram on the altar; it is a burnt offering to Jehovah, a soothing fragrance; it is a fire offering to Jehovah. ¹⁹ And you shall take the second ram, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the ram. ²⁰ And you shall slaughter the ram; and you shall take of its blood and shall put it on the tip of Aaron's ear, and on the tip of the ear his sons, and on the thumb of the right hand, and on the big toe of their right foot; and you shall sprinkle the blood on the altar all around. ²¹ And you shall take of the blood on the altar, and the oil of anointing, and you shall sprinkle on Aaron and on his garments, and on his sons, and on his sons' garments with him. ²² And you shall take the fat from the ram, and the fat tail, and the fat that covers the inward parts, and the lobe of the liver, and the two kidneys, and the fat on them, and the right leg; for it is a ram of consecration; ²³ also one loaf of bread, and one cake of oil bread, and one wafer, from the basket of unleavened bread which is before the face of Jehovah. ²⁴ And you shall put all on the palms of Aaron and on the palms of his sons. And you shall wave them a wave offering before the face of Jehovah. ²⁵ And you shall take them from their hands, and you shall burn the burnt offering on the altar for a soothing fragrance before the face of Jehovah; it is a fire offering to Jehovah. ²⁶ And you shall take the breast from the ram of consecration which is on Aaron. And you shall wave it a wave offering before the face of Jehovah; it shall be your portion. ²⁷ And you shall sanctify the breast of the wave offering, and the thigh of the heave offering, which is waved and which is lifted from the ram of consecration, from what is Aaron's, and from what is to his sons. ²⁸ And it shall be for Aaron and for his sons for a never ending statute from the sons of Israel; it is for a heave offering, and it shall be a heave offering from the sons of Israel from the sacrifices of their peace offerings, their heave offering to Jehovah. ²⁹ And the holy garments which are Aaron's shall be his sons' after him, for anointing in them and for filling their hands in them. ³⁰ The priest shall put them on seven days, the one from his sons taking his place; the one who comes into the tabernacle of the congregation to minister in the sanctuary. ³¹ And you shall take the ram of consecration, and you shall boil its flesh in a sanctuary. ³² And Aaron and his sons shall eat the flesh of the ram and the bread which is in the basket at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. ³³ And they shall eat those things by which atonement is made to consecrate them, to sanctify them; and a stranger shall not eat, for they are holy. ³⁴ And if any is left of the flesh of consecration, and of the bread, until the morning, you shall burn what is left with fire; it shall not be eaten, for it is holy. ³⁵ And so you shall do to Aaron and to his sons, according to all which I have commanded you; you shall consecrate them seven days. ³⁶ And you shall offer a bull of a sin offering daily for atonement; and you shall purify the altar in your making atonement for it; and you shall anoint it to sanctity it. ³⁷ You shall make atonement seven days for the altar, and shall sanctity it; and the altar shall become most holy, all touching the altar becomes holy.

¹ And from the blue and the purple and the crimson they made woven garments for serving in the sanctuary. And they made the holy garments which were for Aaron, as Jehovah commanded Moses. ² And he made the ephod of gold, blue, and purple, and crimson, and twined bleached linen . ³ And they beat out sheets of gold, and cut threads to work into the midst of the blue, and into the midst of the purple, and into the midst of the crimson, and into the midst of the bleached linen, the work of an artisan. ⁴ They made shoulderpieces for it, joined together; it was joined on its two ends. ⁵ And its fastening band was on it; it was of it, like its work, gold, blue, and purple, and crimson, and twined bleached linen, as Jehovah commanded Moses. ⁶ And they made stones of onyx set in plaited work of gold, engraved with engravings of a signet, according to the names of the sons of Israel. ⁷ And he put them on the shoulderpieces of the ephod, memorial stones for the sons of Israel, as Jehovah commanded Moses.

³ And the rest of the food offering is for Aaron and for his sons, most holy, of the fire offerings of Jehovah.

¹⁶ And Aaron and his sons shall eat the rest. It shall be eaten with unleavened things in the holy place, in the court of the tabernacle of the congregation they shall eat it.

⁷ As a sin offering is, so a guilt offering. One law is for them The priest who makes atonement by it, it is his. ⁸ And the priest who brings near any man's burnt offering, the skin of the burnt offering which he has brought near, it is the priest's, his own.

³² And you shall make a heave offering of the right leg to the priest of the sacrifices of your peace offerings;

³⁴ For the breast of the wave and the leg of the heave offering, I have taken from the sons of Israel, from the sacrifices of their peace offerings, and I have given them to Aaron the priest, and to his sons, by a never ending statute, from the sons of Israel. ³⁵ This is the portion of the anointing of Aaron, and the anointing of his sons out of the fire offerings of Jehovah, in the day he shall bring them near to act as priests to Jehovah,

⁷ and put on him the tunic, and girded him with the girdle, and clothed him with the upper robe, and put the ephod on him, and girded him with the ephod on him, and girded him with the girdle of the ephod, and bound it to him with it; ⁸ and put the breast pocket on him, and put the Urim and the Thummim into the breast pocket,

¹⁴ And the breast of the wave offering, and the leg of the heave offering, you shall eat in a clean place, you and your sons, and your daughters with you. For they have been given for your portion and the portion of your sons out of the sacrifices of peace offerings of the sons of Israel. ¹⁵ The leg of the heave offering, and the breast of the wave offering, besides fire offerings of the fat, they shall bring in to wave a wave offering before Jehovah; and it shall be to you, and to your sons with you, a never ending statute, as Jehovah has commanded.

⁹ And every heave offering of all the holy things of the sons of Israel which they bring to the priest shall be his. ¹⁰ And any man's dedicated things shall become his, that which any man gives to the priest becomes his.

⁵ And he spoke to Korah, and to all his company, saying, In the morning Jehovah will show who are His, and him who is holy, and shall cause him to come near Him; even him whom He may choose, He will cause to come near to Him.

⁵ And it shall be that the man's rod which I choose shall blossom. And I shall cause the murmurings of the sons of Israel, which they are murmuring against you, to cease from Me. ⁶ And Moses spoke to the sons of Israel, and all their rulers gave to him one rod for each ruler, one rod for a ruler, for their fathers' house, twelve rods, and the rod of Aaron was among the rods. ⁷ And Moses placed the rods before Jehovah, in the tabernacle of the testimony. ⁸ And it happened on the next day, Moses went into the tabernacle of the testimony, and, behold! The rod of Aaron for the house of Levi had budded, and put forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and bore ripe almonds.

¹ And Jehovah said to Aaron, You, and your sons, and your father's house with you shall bear the iniquity of the sanctuary. And you, and your sons with you, shall bear the iniquity of your priesthood; ² and also your brothers, the tribe of Levi, the tribe of your father, you shall bring near with you, that they may be joined to you and may minister to you, you and your sons in your being before the tabernacle of the testimony. ³ And they shall keep your charge and the charge of all the tabernacle; only, they shall not go near to the vessels of the sanctuary and to the altar. And they shall not die either they or you. ⁴ And they shall be joined to you, and shall keep the charge of the tabernacle of the congregation, for all the service of the tabernacle, and a stranger shall not go near to you. ⁵ And you shall keep the charge of the sanctuary, and the charge of the altar, and there shall be no more wrath against the sons of Israel. ⁶ And I, behold, I have taken your brothers the Levites from the midst of the sons of Israel; as a gift they are given to you by Jehovah, to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation. ⁷ And you, and your sons with you, shall keep your priesthood, in everything that pertains to the altar, and to that inside the veil. And you shall serve; I have given you the priesthood as a service of gift; and the stranger who comes near shall be put to death. ⁸ And Jehovah spoke to Aaron, saying, And I, behold, I have given to you the charge of My heave offerings, of all the dedicated things of the sons of Israel. I have given them to you for the anointing, and to your sons, by a never ending statute.

¹⁹ All the heave offerings of the holy things which the sons of Israel shall lift up to Jehovah, I have given to you and to your sons, and to your daughters with you, by a never ending statute, a covenant of salt, it shall be forever before Jehovah to you and to your seed with you.

¹ The priests, the Levites, all the tribe of Levi shall have no portion or inheritance with Israel. They shall eat fire offerings of Jehovah, even His inheritance. ² And he shall have no inheritance among his brothers. Jehovah Himself is his inheritance, as He has spoken to him. ³ And this shall be the priest's due from the people, from those that offer a sacrifice, whether an ox or sheep, that they shall give to the priest the leg, and the two cheeks, and the stomach, ⁴ the first of your grain, of your new wine, and of your oil, and the first of the fleece of your flock, you shall give to him. ⁵ For Jehovah your God has chosen him out of all your tribes to stand to serve in the name of Jehovah, he and his sons continually. ⁶ And if a Levite comes from one of your gates of all Israel, where he has been living, and comes with all the desire of his soul to the place which Jehovah shall choose, ⁷ then he shall serve in the name of Jehovah his God, as all his brothers the Levites who stand before Jehovah do. ⁸ They shall eat portion like portion, except of the sales of what belonged to his father.

⁷ And Nathan said to David, You are the man! So says Jehovah, the God of Israel, I anointed you as king over Israel, and I delivered you out of the hand of Saul.

¹⁵ You shall do no unrighteousness in judgment; you shall not respect the person of the poor, nor favor the person of the mighty; but in righteousness you shall judge your neighbor.

⁵ But you shall seek to the place which Jehovah your God shall choose out of all your tribes; for you shall seek His dwelling, to put His name there. And you shall go there. ⁶ And you shall bring your burnt offerings there, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and the heave offering of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offering, and the firstlings of your herd and of your flock.

¹⁵ But Jeshurun grew fat, and kicked; you grew fat, thick and sated. And he abandoned God who made him, and fell away from the Rock of his salvation.

⁹ who said of his father and his mother, I have not seen him. And he has not acknowledged his brothers, and did not know his own son, for they have kept Your word, and observed Your covenant.

¹ And all the company of the sons of Israel were gathered at Shiloh. And they established the tabernacle of the congregation there. And the land had been subdued before them.

¹¹ yea, dogs greedy of soul; they do not know satisfaction. And they are shepherds; they know not discernment; they all look to their own way, each one for his own gain, from his own end, saying: ¹² Come, and let me bring wine, and let us gulp down fermented drink; and tomorrow shall be as this day, great, exceedingly abundant.

¹⁹ And will you profane Me among My people for handfuls of barley, and for bits of bread, to put to death the souls that should not die, and to save alive the souls that should not live, by your lying to My people who listen to lies?

² Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel. Prophesy and say to them, to the shepherds, So says the Lord Jehovah: Woe to the shepherds of Israel who are feeding themselves! Should not the shepherds feed the flock?

⁸ They eat up the sin of My people, and they lift their vitality to their iniquity.

¹² But you are profaning it when you say, The table of the Lord, it is polluted; and its fruit, His food is despicable. ¹³ And you have said, Behold, what weariness! And you have sniffed at it, says Jehovah of hosts. And you bring plunder, and the lame, and the sick; and you bring the meal offering. Should I accept it from your hand? says Jehovah.

³⁷ He that loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he that loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.

¹⁶ And they sent to Him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that you are true, and teach the way of God in truth, and it does not concern you about anyone, for you do not look to the face of men.

²⁶ If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brothers and sisters, and besides, even his own life, he cannot be My disciple.

¹⁶ So as we now know no one according to flesh, but even if we have known Christ according to flesh, yet now we no longer know Him so .

¹⁷ But the wisdom from above is firstly truly pure, then peaceable, forbearing, yielding, full of mercy and of good fruits, not partial and not pretended.

⁴³ And they shall be on Aaron and on his sons in their going into he tabernacle of the congregation, or in their drawing near to the altar to minister in the sanctuary, and so that they shall not raise up iniquity and die. It is a never ending statute to him and to his seed after him.

⁹ And you shall gird them with girdles, Aaron and his sons; and you shall bind on bonnets for them; and it shall be a never ending statute for them in the priest's office. And you shall consecrate Aaron and his sons.

²⁰ but to a month of days, until it comes out of your nostrils, and it shall become to you a loathsome thing; because you have loathed Jehovah, who is in your midst, and weep before Him, saying, Why is it that we have come out of Egypt?

¹¹ Phinehas the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, has turned My wrath away from the sons of Israel while he was zealous for My sake among them, so that I did not consume the sons of Israel in My jealousy. ¹² Therefore say, behold, I give to him My covenant of peace; ¹³ And it shall be to him, and to his seed after him, the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was zealous for his God, and atone for the sons of Israel.

³⁴ and you shall not defile the land in which you are living. I dwell in its midst, for I, Jehovah, am dwelling among the sons of Israel.

¹⁰ And the trees said to the fig, You come, reign over us.

⁹ Why have you despised the word of Jehovah, to do the evil in His eyes? You have stricken Uriah the Hittite by the sword, and you have taken his wife to yourself for a wife. And you have killed him by the sword of the sons of Ammon. ¹⁰ And now the sword shall not turn aside from your house continually, because you have despised Me, and have taken the wile of Uriah the Hittite to be a wife to you.

² And he went out before Asa, and said to him, Hear me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin. Jehovah is with you while you are with Him. And if you seek Him, He will be found by you. But if you forsake Him, He will forsake you.

²⁰ Jehovah rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands, He has repaid me.

²³ Whoever offers thanks glorifies Me; and he who prepares a way, I will show the salvation of God to him.

¹⁴ Because he has set his love on Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set Him on high because He has known My name.

⁹ Honor Jehovah with your substance, and with the firstfruits of all your increase, ¹⁰ and your barns shall be filled with plenty, and your presses shall burst with new wine.

¹³ And the Lord says, Because this people draws near with its mouth, and they honor Me with its lip; but its heart is far from Me, and their fear of Me is taught by the command of men;

⁹ And the instant I speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it; ¹⁰ if it does evil in My eye, not to obey My voice, then I will repent of the good which I had said to do good to it.

³⁴ And at the end of the days, I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted up my eyes to the heaven, and my understanding returned to me, and I blessed the Most High. And I praised and honored Him who lives forever, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and His rule from generation to generation.

⁶ A son honors his father, and a servant his master. If then I am a father, where is My honor? And if I am a master, where is My fear? says Jehovah of hosts to you, O priests who despise My name. But you say, In what have we despised Your name?

²³ so that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. The one not honoring the Son does not honor the Father who has sent Him.

⁴⁴ How are you able to believe, you who receive glory from one another, and the glory which is from the only God you do not seek?

⁴⁹ Jesus answered, I do not have a demon; but I honor My Father, and you dishonor Me.

²⁶ If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will also be. And if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.

³¹ Then when he had gone out, Jesus said, Now the Son of man was glorified, and God was glorified in Him. ³² If God was glorified in Him, God also will glorify Him in Himself, and immediately will glorify Him.

⁴ I have glorified You on the earth. I finished the work that You gave Me to do. ⁵ And now Father, glorify Me with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the existence of the world.

⁵ Then do not judge anything before time, until the Lord comes, who will both shed light on the hidden things of darkness and will reveal the counsels of the hearts. And then praise will be to each one from God.

⁷ so that the proving of your faith, much more precious than perishing gold, but having been proved through fire, may be found to praise and honor and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

² And the Philistines set themselves in order to meet Israel, and the battle was spread. And Israel was stricken before the Philistines. And they struck about four thousand men from the battle line in the field.

¹¹ And the ark of God was taken, and the two sons of Eli died, Hophni and Phinehas. ¹² And a man of Benjamin ran out of the battle line and came to Shiloh on that day. And his clothes were torn, and earth on his head. ¹³ And he came in. And, behold, Eli was sitting on the seat by the side of the highway, watching. For his heart trembled for the ark of God. And the man came in to report in the city. And all the city cried out. ¹⁴ And Eli heard the noise of the cry, and said, What is the noise of this tumult? And the man hurried and came and reported to Eli. ¹⁵ And Eli was ninety eight years old, and his eyes were set, and he was not able to see. ¹⁶ And the man said to Eli, I am he who has come from the ranks, and I fled today out of the battle line. And he said, How did the matter go, my son? ¹⁷ And he bearing the news answered and said, Israel has fled before the Philistines; and also there has been a great slaughter among the people. And also your two sons have died, Hophni and Phinehas. And the ark of God has been taken. ¹⁸ And it happened when he mentioned the ark of God, Eli fell off the seat backward, by the side of the gate. And his neck was broken, and he died. For the man was old and heavy. And he judged Israel forty years. ¹⁹ And his daughter-in-law, the wife of Phinehas, was with child, about to bear. And she heard the report of the taking of the ark of God, and that her father-in-law and her husband had died. And she bowed and bore, for her pains had turned in on her. ²⁰ And at the time of her death, when the women who stood by her said, Fear not, for you have borne a son; she did not even answer, nor set her heart.

³ And Ahijah, the son of Ahitub, the brother of Ichabod, the son of Phinehas, the son of Eli the priest of Jehovah in Shiloh, was wearing the ephod. And the people did not know that Jonathan had left.

¹⁷ And the king said to the runners that stood by him, Turn and kill the priests of Jehovah, because their hand also is with David, and because they knew that he was fleeing, and did not reveal it in my ear. But the king's servants were not willing to put forth their hand to fall on the priests of Jehovah. ¹⁸ And the king said to Doeg, You turn and fall on the priests. And Doeg the Edomite turned and fell on the priests and killed eighty five men bearing a linen ephod in that day. ¹⁹ And he struck Nob, the city of the priests with the mouth of the sword, from man even to woman, from child even to suckling, and ox, and ass, and sheep, with the mouth of the sword. ²⁰ And one son escaped of Ahimelech the son of Ahitub. And his name was Abiathar, and he fled after David.

²⁶ And the king said to Abiathar the priest, Go to Anathoth, to your fields. For you are deserving of death. But I will not at this time put you to death, because you have borne the ark of the Lord Jehovah before my father David, and because you were afflicted in all the things with which my father was afflicted. ²⁷ And Solomon drove Abiathar from being priest to Jehovah, to fulfill the word of Jehovah which He spoke concerning the house of Eli in Shiloh.

³⁵ And the king put Benaiah the son of Jehoiada in his place over the army. And the king put Zadok the priest in the place of Abiathar.

⁹ You have sent widows away empty, and have crushed the arms of orphans.

²¹ Son of man, I have shattered the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt. and behold, it shall not be bound up to give healing, to set a bandage to bind it, to make it strong to handle the sword. ²² So the Lord Jehovah says this: Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and I will shatter his arms, the strong one, and the shattered one. And I will cause the sword to fall out of his hand. ²³ And I will scatter Egypt among the nations, and will sow them through the lands. ²⁴ And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon and put My sword in his hand. But I will shatter the arms of Pharaoh, and he will groan with the groanings of the slain before him.

¹⁰ But the Levites who have gone far from Me, when Israel went astray, who went astray from Me, going after their idols, even they shall bear their iniquity.

⁴ And the people sent to Shiloh, and they took from there the ark of the covenant of Jehovah of hosts, who dwells between the cherubs. And the two sons of Eli were there with the ark of the covenant of God, Hophni and Phinehas.

¹¹ And the ark of God was taken, and the two sons of Eli died, Hophni and Phinehas.

²² And she said, The glory has departed from Israel, for the ark of God has been taken.

⁵⁹ When God heard, He was angry, and He utterly rejected Israel. ⁶⁰ And He left the tabernacle of Shiloh; the tent He dwelt in among men; ⁶¹ and delivered His strength into captivity, and His glory into the enemy's hands. ⁶² And He gave His people to the sword, and was angry with His inheritance. ⁶³ The fire burned up their young men; and their virgins were not praised. ⁶⁴ Their priests fell by the sword; and their widows were not able to weep.

⁴ So says Jehovah of hosts: There shall yet be old men and old women sitting in the streets of Jerusalem; and each man with his staff in his hand because of their many days.

²¹ And Abiathar told David that Saul had killed the priests of Jehovah. ²² And David said to Abiathar, I knew on that day when Doeg the Edomite was there, that he certainly would tell Saul. I am accountable for all the lives of your father's house. ²³ Stay with me. Do not fear. For he who seeks my life seeks your life. For with me you will be under protection.

⁷ And his words were with Joab the son of Zeruiah, and with Abiathar the priest. And they helped, going after Adonijah.

¹⁹ And he sacrifices oxen, and fatlings, and sheep in abundance, and has called all the king's sons, and Abiathar the priest and Joab the commander of the army. But he has not called to your servant Solomon.

¹⁶ Then seeing that he was mocked by the wise men, Herod was greatly enraged, and having sent, he killed all the boys in Bethlehem and in all its districts, from two years old and under, according to the time which he exactly asked from the wise men. ¹⁷ Then was fulfilled that spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, saying: ¹⁸ "A voice was heard in Ramah, wailing and bitter weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children and would not be comforted, because they were not ." Jer. 31:15

¹² In that day I will confirm to Eli all that I have spoken to his house, beginning and making an end.

¹⁷ And he bearing the news answered and said, Israel has fled before the Philistines; and also there has been a great slaughter among the people. And also your two sons have died, Hophni and Phinehas. And the ark of God has been taken.

³ And on that day he gave a sign, saying, This is the sign that Jehovah has spoken, Behold, the altar is torn, and the ashes that are on it poured out.

¹² And you, rise up, go to your house. When your feet enter the city, the boy shall die.

²¹ And it was, because the midwives feared God, He made houses for them.

¹³ And it shall be to him, and to his seed after him, the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was zealous for his God, and atone for the sons of Israel.

¹³ And Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers. And the Spirit of Jehovah came upon David from that day and onward. And Samuel rose up and went to Ramah.

²⁸ I beg you, bear with the transgression of your handmaid, for Jehovah shall certainly make a sure house for my lord. For my lord has fought the battles of Jehovah, and evil has not been found in you all your days.

¹¹ even from the day I commanded judges to be over My people Israel. And I will cause you to rest from all your enemies. And Jehovah declares to you that Jehovah will make you a house.

²⁷ For You, O Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, You have uncovered the ear of Your servant, saying, I will build a house for you. On account of this Your servant has found his heart to pray to You this prayer.

⁸ But Zadok the priest, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and Nathan the prophet, and Shimei, and Rei, and the mighty men who were to David, were not with Adonijah.

⁴⁵ And they anointed him, Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet, as king in Gihon. And they have come up from there rejoicing. And the city was roaring. It is the noise that you heard.

³⁸ And it shall be, if you shall hear all that I command you, and shall walk in My ways, and do that which is right in My eyes, to keep My statutes and My commands, as My servant David did, then I shall be with you and shall build a sure house for you, as I built for David, and shall give Israel to you.

⁸ and Ahitub fathered Zadok; and Zadok fathered Ahimaaz; ⁹ and Ahimaaz fathered Azariah; and Azariah fathered Johanan; ¹⁰ and Johanan fathered Azariah, he who acted in the priest's office in the temple that Solomon built in Jerusalem. ¹¹ And Azariah fathered Amariah; and Amariah fathered Ahitub; ¹² and Ahitub fathered Zadok; and Zadok fathered Shallum; ¹³ and Shallum fathered Hilkiah; and Hilkiah fathered Azariah; ¹⁴ and Azariah fathered Seraiah; and Seraiah fathered Jehozadak; ¹⁵ and Jehozadak went away when Jehovah exiled Judah and Jerusalem by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar.

²² And they ate and drank before Jehovah on that day with great joy, and made Solomon the son of David king a second time, and anointed him before Jehovah as ruler, and Zadok as priest.

¹⁰ And Jeshua fathered Joiakim, and Joiakim fathered Eliashib; and Eliashib fathered Joiada; ¹¹ and Joiada fathered Jonathan; and Jonathan fathered Jaddua.

⁵⁰ magnifying salvations to His king, and working mercy to His anointed, to David and to his seed forever.

²³ And I will raise up over them one Shepherd. And He shall feed them. My servant David, He shall feed them, and He shall be their Shepherd.

¹⁵ But the priests, the Levites, the sons of Zadok, who kept the charge of My sanctuary when the sons of Israel went astray from Me, they shall come near to Me to minister to Me. And they shall stand before Me to bring near to Me the fat and the blood, declares the Lord Jehovah. ¹⁶ They shall enter into My sanctuary, and they shall come near to My table, to minister to Me. And they shall keep My charge.

¹⁷ For this reason He ought by all means to become like His brothers, that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the things respecting God, in order to make propitiation for the sins of His people.

²⁶ For such a High Priest was fitting for us: holy, harmless, undefiled, and separated from sinners, and having become higher than the heavens; ²⁷ who has no need, as do the high priests, to offer sacrifices day by day, first for His own sins, then for those of the people. For He did this once for all, offering up Himself. ²⁸ For the Law makes men high priests who have infirmity, but the word of the swearing of an oath, after the Law, appoints the Son forever, having been perfected.

²⁹ Why do you kick at My sacrifice and at My offering which I commanded in My habitation? And why do you honor your sons above Me, to make yourselves fat with the best of all the offerings of My people? ³⁰ So says Jehovah the God of Israel, I said indeed that your house and your father's house should walk before Me until forever. But now Jehovah says, Be it far from Me! For those who honor Me, I will honor; and those despising Me will be despicable.

²⁷ And Solomon drove Abiathar from being priest to Jehovah, to fulfill the word of Jehovah which He spoke concerning the house of Eli in Shiloh.

¹⁰ But the Levites who have gone far from Me, when Israel went astray, who went astray from Me, going after their idols, even they shall bear their iniquity. ¹¹ Yet they shall be ministers in My sanctuary, overseers at the gates of the house, and ministering in the house. They shall slaughter the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the people, and they shall stand before them, to minister to them. ¹² Because they ministered to them before their idols, and became a stumbling-block of iniquity to the house of Israel, therefore I have lifted up My hand against them, declares the Lord Jehovah. And they shall bear their iniquity.
