¹ And the boy Samuel was serving Jehovah before Eli. And the word of Jehovah was rare in those days. There was no breaking-through vision. ² And it happened at that time, Eli was lying down in his place, and his eyes had begun to be dim; he was not able to see. ³ And the lamp of God had not yet gone out. And Samuel was lying down in the temple of Jehovah, where the ark of God rested . ⁴ And Jehovah called to Samuel. And he said, Behold, I am here. ⁵ And he ran to Eli and said, Behold, I am here. For you have called to me. And he said, I did not call. Go back and lie down. And he went and lay down. ⁶ and Jehovah again called Samuel. And Samuel rose up and went to Eli and said, Behold, I am here, for you have called me. And he said, I have not called, my son. Go back and lie down. ⁷ And Samuel did not yet know Jehovah, and the word of Jehovah had not yet been revealed to him. ⁸ And Jehovah again called Samuel, the third time. And he rose up and went to Eli and said, Behold, I am here, for you have called me. And Eli understood at Jehovah was calling the boy. ⁹ And Eli said to Samuel, Go, lie down; and it shall be, if One calls you, even you shall say, Speak, O Jehovah, for Your servant hears you. And Samuel lay down in his place. ¹⁰ And Jehovah came and stood, and called as the other times, Samuel, Samuel! And Samuel said, Speak, for Your servant hears You. ¹¹ And Jehovah said to Samuel, Behold! I am doing a thing in Israel at which the two ears of every one hearing it shall tingle. ¹² In that day I will confirm to Eli all that I have spoken to his house, beginning and making an end. ¹³ And I declare to him that I am judging his house forever, for the iniquity which he has known; for his sons have been making themselves vile, and he has not restrained them. ¹⁴ And so I have sworn to the house of Eli, the iniquity of the house of Eli shall not be atoned for, by sacrifice or by offering, until forever. ¹⁵ And Samuel lay until the morning. And he opened the doors of the house of Jehovah. And Samuel was afraid to tell the vision to Eli. ¹⁶ And Eli called Samuel and said, Samuel, my son. And he said, Behold, I am here . ¹⁷ And he said, What is the word which He has spoken to you? Please do not hide it from me. May God do so to you, and more also, if you keep back anything from me of all the words that He spoke to you. ¹⁸ And Samuel told him all the words, and did not hide from him. And he said, It is Jehovah; He does which is good in His eyes. ¹⁹ And Samuel grew up, and Jehovah was with him, and did not let any of his words fall to the earth. ²⁰ And all Israel knew, from Dan even to Beersheba, that Samuel was confirmed to be a prophet to Jehovah. ²¹ And Jehovah again appeared in Shiloh. For Jehovah revealed Himself to Samuel in Shiloh, by the word of Jehovah.

¹¹ And Elkanah went to Ramah, to his house. And the child served Jehovah before Eli the priest.

¹⁸ And Samuel was serving before Jehovah, a boy girded with an ephod of linen.

¹⁵ And Samuel lay until the morning. And he opened the doors of the house of Jehovah. And Samuel was afraid to tell the vision to Eli.

²¹ And Jehovah again appeared in Shiloh. For Jehovah revealed Himself to Samuel in Shiloh, by the word of Jehovah.

⁹ We did not see our signs; there is no longer a prophet; nor any among us who knows until when.

¹² I will make a man more rare than fine gold; even a man more than the carvings of Ophir.

¹¹ Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord Jehovah, that I will send a famine into the land, not a famine for bread, nor a thirst for water, but rather a famine for hearing the words of Jehovah. ¹² And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to east; they shall roam about to seek the word of Jehovah, and they shall not find it .

¹ And it happened when Isaac was old and his eyes were dim for seeing, he called his elder son Esau and said to him, My son! And he said to him, Behold me.

¹⁰ And the eyes of Israel were heavy from age, he not being able to see. And he brought them near to him. And he kissed them and embraced them.

¹⁹ And his father refused and said, I know, my son, I know. He also shall be a people, and he shall become great. But his younger brother shall become greater than he, and his seed shall become the fullness of the nations.

²² And Eli was very old, and had heard all that his sons did to Israel, and how they lay with the women who assembled by troops at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

¹⁵ And Eli was ninety eight years old, and his eyes were set, and he was not able to see.

¹⁰ The days of our years are seventy; and if any by strength live eighty years, yet their pride is labor and vanity; for it soon passes, and we fly away.

³ in the day when the housekeepers shall tremble, and the strong men are bowed, and the grinders cease because they are few; and those looking out the windows are darkened;

²⁰ And you shall command the sons of Israel, and let them bring to you pure olive oil beaten for the light, to set up lamps perpetually. ²¹ In the tabernacle of the congregation from outside the veil which is by the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall arrange them from evening until morning before Jehovah; a never ending statute for their generations, from the sons of Israel.

⁷ And Aaron shall burn incense of perfume on it morning by morning; when he dresses the lamps he shall burn it. ⁸ And when Aaron sets up the lamps between the evenings he shall burn it, a perpetual incense before the face of Jehovah for your generations.

² Command the sons of Israel, and they shall bring to you pure olive oil, beaten, for the light, to cause a light to burn continually. ³ Outside the veil of the testimony in the tabernacle of the congregation Aaron shall arrange it from evening until morning before Jehovah continually, a perpetual statute throughout your generations. ⁴ He shall arrange the lamps on the pure lampstand before Jehovah continually.

⁶ And even to vexation her rival provoked her, so as to make her tremble, because Jehovah had shut up her womb.

¹¹ and are offering to Jehovah burnt offerings morning by morning, and evening by evening, and sweet incense, and the Bread of Arrangement on the pure table, and the golden lampstand and its lamps, to burn evening by evening. For we are keeping the charge of Jehovah our God. And surely you have forsaken Him.

⁷ But I, in the plenty of Your grace, I will come into Your house. I will worship in Your fear toward Your holy temple, O Jehovah.

⁴ One thing I have asked from Jehovah, it I will seek: my dwelling in the house of Jehovah all the days of my life, to behold the delight of Jehovah, and to inquire in His temple.

⁹ The voice of Jehovah causes the does to calve, and He uncovers the forests. And in His temple, it all is saying, Glory!

¹ And it happened after these things, testing Abraham, God said to him, Abraham! And he said, Behold me.

⁴ And Jehovah saw that he turned aside to see, and God called to him from the midst of the thorn bush, and said, Moses! Moses! And he said, Behold me.

⁶ Moses and Aaron were among His priests; and Samuel was among those who called on His name; they called to Jehovah, and He answered them.

⁸ And I heard the voice of Jehovah, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us? Then I said, Behold me. Send me!

⁴ And falling on the earth he heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul! Why do you persecute Me?

⁶ And there are differences of workings, but the same God is working all things in all. ⁷ And to each one is given the showing forth of the Spirit to our profit. ⁸ For through the Spirit is given to one a word of wisdom, and to another a word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit; ⁹ and to another, faith by the same Spirit, and to another, gifts of healing by the same Spirit, ¹⁰ and to another, workings of powers, and to another, prophecy, and to another, discerning of spirits, and to another, kinds of languages, and to another, interpretation of languages. ¹¹ But the one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing separately to each as He wills.

²⁸ And God placed some in the church: firstly apostles; secondly, prophets; thirdly, teachers; then works of power; then gifts of healing, helps, governings, kinds of languages.

¹⁵ But when God was pleased, "He having separated me from my mother's womb" and having called through His grace, Isa. 49:1 ¹⁶ to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the nations, immediately I did not confer with flesh and blood,

²⁹ And he raised his eyes and saw his brother Benjamin, the son of his mother. And he said, Is this your youngest brother of whom you spoke to me? And he said, May God bless you, my son.

¹⁶ And the man said to Eli, I am he who has come from the ranks, and I fled today out of the battle line. And he said, How did the matter go, my son?

²² And Ahimaaz the son of Zadok said yet again to Joab, Yet whatever may be, please let me run after the Cushite, I also. And Joab said, Why is this that you are running, my son? Also for you there are no tidings found.

² And, behold! They were bringing a paralytic lying on a cot to Him. And seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralytic, Be comforted, child. Your sins have been forgiven you.

²⁴ But let him who glories glory in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am Jehovah, doing kindness, justice and righteousness in the earth; for I delight in these, says Jehovah.

² he said to them, Believing, did you receive the Holy Spirit? And they said to him, We did not even hear whether the Holy Spirit is.

¹⁴ For in one way God may speak, and in a second, but one does not notice it. ¹⁵ In a dream, a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men; while they slumber on the bed,

¹¹ When I was an infant, I spoke as an infant, I thought as an infant, I reasoned as an infant. But when I became a man, I caused to cease the things of the infant. ¹² For now we see through a mirror in dimness, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will fully know even as I also was fully known.

¹⁹ And they said to Moses, You speak with us, and we will hear. And let us not speak with God, that we not die.

⁸ I will hear what Jehovah God will say; for He will speak peace to His people, and His saints; but let them not turn again to folly.

¹⁹ And he said, O man greatly beloved, do not fear. Peace to you. Be strong. Yea, be strong! And when he had spoken to me I was made strong. And I said, Speak, my lord, for you have made me strong.

⁶ Both trembling and being astonished he said, Lord, what do you desire me to do? And the Lord said to him, Rise up and go into the city, and it will be told you what you must do.

⁴ And Jehovah called to Samuel. And he said, Behold, I am here. ⁵ And he ran to Eli and said, Behold, I am here. For you have called to me. And he said, I did not call. Go back and lie down. And he went and lay down. ⁶ and Jehovah again called Samuel. And Samuel rose up and went to Eli and said, Behold, I am here, for you have called me. And he said, I have not called, my son. Go back and lie down.

⁸ And Jehovah again called Samuel, the third time. And he rose up and went to Eli and said, Behold, I am here, for you have called me. And Eli understood at Jehovah was calling the boy.

¹² therefore so says Jehovah, the God of Israel, Behold, I am bringing evil on Jerusalem and Judah, so that whoever hears of it, his two ears shall tingle.

¹⁹ As often as it passes, it shall take you; for morning by morning it shall pass; and by day and by night, it shall only be a terror to understand the message.

¹⁴ So, behold, I am adding to do a wonders with this people, the wonder, even a wonder. For the wisdom of his wise ones shall perish, and the wit of his witty ones shall be hidden.

³ And say, Hear the word of Jehovah, O kings of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem. So says Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will bring evil on this place by which all who hear it will have tingling ears.

⁶ If a ram's horn is blowing in a city, will the people not also tremble? If there is a calamity in a city, has Jehovah not even done it ? ⁷ For the Lord Jehovah will do nothing unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.

⁵ Look among the nations and see, and be amazed. Be amazed! For a work is working in your days which you will not believe, though it be told to you.

²⁶ men fainting from fear, and expectation of the things coming on the earth. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

⁴¹ "Behold, you despisers," "and marvel," "and perish, because I work a work in your days," a work which you would "in no way believe if anyone declares it to you." Hab. 1:5

¹⁹ God is not a man that He should lie, or a son of man that He should repent. Has He said, and shall He not do it? And has He spoken, and shall He not make it good?

¹⁵ And it shall be, as every good thing which Jehovah your God has spoken to you comes to you, so shall Jehovah bring on you every evil thing, until He destroys you from off this good land which Jehovah your God has given to you,

²⁷ And a man of God came to Eli, and said to him, So says Jehovah: Did I reveal Myself plainly to the house of your father when they were in Egypt, at the house of Pharaoh, ²⁸ even to choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be priest to Me, to go up on My altar, to cause incense to smoke, to bear an ephod before Me? And did I give to your father's house all the fire offerings of the sons of Israel? ²⁹ Why do you kick at My sacrifice and at My offering which I commanded in My habitation? And why do you honor your sons above Me, to make yourselves fat with the best of all the offerings of My people? ³⁰ So says Jehovah the God of Israel, I said indeed that your house and your father's house should walk before Me until forever. But now Jehovah says, Be it far from Me! For those who honor Me, I will honor; and those despising Me will be despicable. ³¹ Behold, days come when I shall cut off your arm, and the arm of your father's house, that no old man shall be in your house. ³² And you shall see an adversary in My habitation, in all that he does good with Israel. And there shall not be an old man in your house all the days. ³³ And the man of yours that I shall not cut off from My altar shall be to cause your eyes to fail, and to grieve your soul. And all the increase of your house shall die young men. ³⁴ And this shall be the sign to you, that which shall come on your two sons, on Hophni and Phinehas: in one day the both of them shall die. ³⁵ And I shall raise up for Myself a faithful priest. He shall do all that is in My heart and in My soul. And I shall build for him a sure house; and he shall walk before My anointed all the days. ³⁶ And it shall be, everyone who is left in your house shall come in to bow to him for a wage of silver and a loaf of bread. And they shall say, please admit me into one of the priest's offices, to eat a bit of bread.

⁶ But My words and My statutes which I commanded My servants the prophets, did they not overtake your fathers? And they returned and said, As Jehovah of hosts purposes to do to us, according to our ways and according to our deeds, so He has done with us.

³³ The heaven and the earth will pass away, but My words in no way will pass away.

¹² And the sons of Eli were sons of worthlessness; they did not know Jehovah.

¹⁷ And the sin of the young men was very great before Jehovah, for the men had despised the offering of Jehovah.

²² And Eli was very old, and had heard all that his sons did to Israel, and how they lay with the women who assembled by troops at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. ²³ And he said to them, Why do you do things like these? For I am hearing of your evil doings from all these people. ²⁴ No my sons, for the report which I am hearing is not good, causing the people of Jehovah to transgress. ²⁵ If a man sins against a man, then God shall judge him. But if a man sins against Jehovah, who shall pray for him? But they did not listen to the voice of their father, because Jehovah desired to execute them. ²⁶ And the boy Samuel went on, growing both in stature and in good looks, both with Jehovah and also with men.

⁶ And his father had not troubled him all his days, saying, Why have you done so? And he also was very good of form, and one had borne him after Absalom.

⁴⁴ And the king said to Shimei, You shall know all the evil that your heart has known, that which you did to my father David. Now Jehovah has turned back your evil on your head.

¹² O our God, shall You not execute judgment upon them? For there is no power in us before this great multitude that has come against us, and we do not know what we shall do; but our eyes are on You.

¹⁸ Chasten your son, for there is hope, and do not set your soul on making him die.

¹³ Do not withhold correction from a boy, for if you strike him with the rod, he will not die. ¹⁴ You shall beat him with the rod, and you shall deliver him from Sheol.

¹⁵ The rod and reproof give wisdom, but a boy sent off causes shame to his mother.

²² For also your own heart knows that you yourself have also cursed others many times.

³ The end is now on you, and I will send My anger on you and will judge you according to your ways and will lay on you all your abominations.

³⁰ I will judge you, each man by his ways, O house of Israel, declares the Lord Jehovah. Turn and be made to turn from all your transgressions, and iniquity shall not be a stumbling-block to you.

¹² Let the nations be awakened and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat. For there I will sit to judge all the nations all around.

³⁷ He that loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he that loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.

²⁰ that if our heart accuses us, we know that God is greater than our heart and knows all things.

³¹ So you shall separate the sons of Israel from their uncleanness, and they shall not die in their uncleanness, when they defile My tabernacle that is in their midst.

³⁰ And the soul that does anything with a high hand, whether of a homeborn or of the alien, the same blasphemes Jehovah. And that person shall be cut off from the midst of his people. ³¹ For he has despised the word of Jehovah and has broken His command; that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be on him.

²⁵ If a man sins against a man, then God shall judge him. But if a man sins against Jehovah, who shall pray for him? But they did not listen to the voice of their father, because Jehovah desired to execute them.

¹⁶ For you do not desire sacrifice, or I would give it; You do not delight in burnt offering.

¹⁴ And Jehovah of Hosts revealed in my ears, Surely this iniquity shall not be covered for you until you die, says the Lord Jehovah of Hosts.

¹⁶ And you, do not pray for this people; do not lift up cry or prayer for them. Do not intercede with Me, for I do not hear you.

¹ Then Jehovah said to me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before Me, My soul could not be toward this people. Send them out from before My face; yea, let them go out.

¹³ In your defilement is wickedness. Because I have cleansed you, yet you are not clean, you shall not be cleansed from your defilement any more until I have caused My fury to cease on you.

⁴ for it is not possible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. ⁵ For this reason, coming into the world, He says, "Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, but You prepared a body for Me. ⁶ You did not delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices concerning sins." ⁷ "Then I said, Lo, I come, in the heading of the Book, it was written concerning Me, to do Your will, O God." LXX-Psa. 39:7 -9; MT-Psa. 40:6 -8 ⁸ Above, saying, "You did not desire nor were pleased with sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and sacrifices concerning sins," (which are offered according to the Law), ⁹ then He said, "Lo, I come to do Your will, O God." He takes away the first in order that He may set up the second; ¹⁰ by which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

²⁶ For if we are willfully sinning after receiving the full knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice concerning sins, ²⁷ but a certain fearful expectation of judgment and "zealous fire being about to consume the adversaries." Isa. 26:11 ²⁸ If anyone did not regard the Law of Moses, that one dies without pities on " the word of two or three witnesses." Deut. 17:6 ²⁹ How much worse punishment do you think will be thought worthy to receive, the one trampling the Son of God, and having counted common the blood of the covenant in which he was sanctified, and having insulted the Spirit of grace? ³⁰ For we know Him who has said, "Vengeance belongs to Me; I will repay," says the Lord. And again, "The Lord will judge His people." Deut. 32:35, 36 ³¹ It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

⁹ And Hannah rose up after eating in Shiloh, and after drinking. And Eli the priest was sitting on the seat by the side post of the temple of Jehovah.

⁶ Then I said, Ah, Lord Jehovah! Behold, I do not know how to speak for I am a boy. ⁷ But Jehovah said to me, Do not say, I am a boy; for you shall go to all that I shall send you. And whatever I command you, you shall speak. ⁸ Do not be afraid of their faces, for I am with you to deliver you, says Jehovah.

¹⁰ Who is even among you that will shut the doors, and you not kindle fire on My altar in vain? There is no delight to Me in you, says Jehovah of hosts. I will not be pleased with a food offering from you.

¹⁰ But if Timothy comes, see that he is with you without fear; for he works the work of the Lord, even as I. ¹¹ Then do not let any despise him, but set him forward in peace, that he may come to me; for I am waiting for him with the brothers.

¹⁷ Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. May Jehovah do to me, and more so, if anything but death part you and me.

¹³ So may Jehovah do to Jonathan, and do much more than this, if it should seem good to my father to do evil to you, then I will reveal it in your ear and send you away. And you shall go in peace; and may Jehovah be with you, as He was with my father.

³⁵ And all the people came to cause David to eat food while it was yet day. But David swore, saying, So may God do to me, and still more, if I taste bread or anything before the sun goes in.

¹³ And say to Amasa, Are you not my bone and my flesh? So shall God do to me, and more so He shall do, if you are not commander of the army before me all the days, instead of Joab.

¹⁶ And the king said to him, How many times have I adjured you that you shall speak nothing to me but truth in the name of Jehovah?

⁵ Let the righteous strike me; it is a mercy; and he rebuking me, it is oil of the head, let not my head refuse it; for yet my prayer also shall be against their evils.

¹⁹ Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was stunned for one hour, and his thoughts troubled him. The king spoke and said, O Belteshazzar, do not let the dream or its meaning trouble you. Belteshazzar answered and said, My lord, the dream is to those who hate you, and its meaning is to your foes.

⁷ House of Jacob, it is said, The Spirit of Jehovah is limited, if these are His doings. Do not My words do good with the one who walks upright?

⁶³ But Jesus kept silent. And answering, the high priest said to Him, I adjure you by the living God that you tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God.

²⁵ Far be it from You to act in this way, to put to death the righteous with the wicked. Far be it from You. The Judge of all the earth, shall He not do right?

¹⁵ And the sons of Israel said to Jehovah, We have sinned. Do to us whatever may be good in Your eyes; only please deliver us his day.

¹⁰ And the king said, What have I to do with you, sons of Zeruiah? For let him curse, even because Jehovah has said to him, Curse David. And who shall say, Why have you done so? ¹¹ And David said to Abishai, and to all his servants, Behold, my son who came out of my loins is seeking my life, and surely now also the Benjamite. Leave him alone, and let him curse, for Jehovah has spoken to him. ¹² It may be Jehovah will look on my affliction, and Jehovah will return good to me for his cursing this day.

²¹ And he said, I came naked out of my mother's womb, and naked I shall return there. Jehovah gave, and Jehovah has taken away. Blessed be the name of Jehovah.

¹⁰ But he said to her, You speak as one of the foolish ones speak. Also, shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this Job did not sin with his lips.

⁹ I was dumb; I did not open my mouth, because You had done it .

⁸ Then Hezekiah said to Isaiah, The word of Jehovah that you have said is good. And he said, For there shall be peace and truth in my days.

³⁹ What? Should mankind complain, living man because of his sins?

⁶ Then be humbled under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in time;

²² And it happened at that time Abimelech and Phicol, the general of his army, spoke to Abraham, saying, God is with you in all that you do.

² And Jehovah was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man. And he was in the house of the Egyptian, his master.

²¹ And Jehovah was with Joseph, and extended kindness to him. And He gave him favor in the eyes of the warden of the prison house. ²² And the warden of the prison house gave all the prisoners in the prison house into Joseph's hand. And all which they did there, he was doing. ²³ There was no looking of the warden of the prison house to anything in his hand, in that Jehovah was with him, and Jehovah was prospering what he was doing.

²⁴ And the woman bore a son, and called his name Samson. And the youth grew, and Jehovah blessed him.

²¹ So Jehovah visited Hannah, and she conceived and bore three sons and two daughters. And the boy Samuel grew up with Jehovah.

⁶ And he said to him, Behold now, a man of God is in this city, and the man is held in honor. All that he speaks certainly comes to pass. Now let us go there. It may be he will declare our way to us on which we should go.

¹⁴ And David acted wisely in all his ways, and Jehovah was with him.

⁵⁶ Blessed be Jehovah who has given rest to His people Israel, according to all that He has spoken; not one word of all His good word has fallen, which He spoke by the hand of His servant Moses.

² When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk in the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame kindle on you.

²⁶ He confirms the word of His servant, and completes the counsel of His messengers. He says to Jerusalem, You will be filled; and to the cities of Judah, You shall be built; and, I will raise up its ruins.

²³ "Behold! The virgin will conceive in her womb and will bear a son, and they will call His name Emmanuel" (which translated is, God with us). Isa. 7:14

²⁸ And entering, the angel said to her, Hail, one having received grace! The Lord is with you. You are blessed among women!

⁸⁰ And the child grew, and became strong in spirit. And he was in the deserts until the day of his showing to Israel.

⁴⁰ And the Child grew, and became strong in spirit, being filled with wisdom. And the grace of God was upon Him.

⁵² And Jesus progressed in wisdom and stature and favor before God and men. see 1 Sam. 2:26

¹¹ For the rest, brothers, rejoice! Perfect yourselves; encourage yourselves, mind the same thing, be at peace; and the God of love and of peace will be with you.

¹ And all the sons of Israel went out, and the congregation was assembled as one man, from Dan even to Beersheba, and the land of Gilead, to Jehovah at Mizpeh.

¹⁰ to cause to pass over the kingdom from the house of Saul, and to establish the throne of David over Israel and over Judah from Dan even to Beersheba.

¹¹ So I counsel this : let all Israel be diligently gathered to you, from Dan even to Beersheba, as the sand that is by the sea for multitude. And you yourself shall go into battle.

¹² And I have thanks to Him empowering me, our Lord Jesus Christ, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry,

⁷ And Jehovah appeared to Abram and said I will give this land to your seed. And he built an altar there to Jehovah, who appeared to him.

¹ After these things the word of Jehovah came to Abram in a vision, saying, Do not fear, Abram; I am your shield, your reward will increase greatly.

⁶ And He said, Now hear My words, If your prophet is of Jehovah, I shall make Myself known to him in an appearance; I will speak to him in a dream.

¹ And the boy Samuel was serving Jehovah before Eli. And the word of Jehovah was rare in those days. There was no breaking-through vision.

⁴ And Jehovah called to Samuel. And he said, Behold, I am here.

¹⁰ And Jehovah came and stood, and called as the other times, Samuel, Samuel! And Samuel said, Speak, for Your servant hears You.

⁷ For the Lord Jehovah will do nothing unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.
